Creative Centrale and Wireless transmitti

? Hello Folks,
? I am either misunderstanding something, or totally loss.
? Equipment: Win -XP,? Zen? X-FI 6 gig.
? I go to the "System" Settings button and choose "Centural Media Servier" and Place the servers name in it.
? I hit apply. and everything seems ok. No errors, no hiccups, no sweat.

? Here is my confusion...
? Why am I doing this? Is this not supposed to make your computer transit a beacon saying it has wireless service, and ready to communicate with the X-FI?
? When I turn on the X-FI, go to "online" and choose, I cannot find the Centrale ID I placed in the program. I can only find my wireless "link-sys".
? I *thought* I would be able to connect to my computer and wirelessly play my music stored on my computer, on my X-FI.
? Any help or explaining would be appreciated!

Ok... Finally figured out what was going on....
. I had full firewall on... no exceptions.
? I had to uncheck the box that said "Do not allow exceptions", and make sure creative centurals program was listed.
? When I did that, all things worked like they should.

Creative Centrale and Zen MX

I just got a Zen MX because my Zen finally died on me, I installed Creative Centrale and I can't get any of my music onto the Zen. I followed all the instructions and can't find anything online about my problem. I don't know if I'm doing something wrong or what but I can't figure out how to transfer. In the transfer screen it says "All Tracks - Transfer Pending" but I can't do anything. The first time I tried to get it to work the bar at the bottom showed me how much space I needed (I had plenty, 6GB or whatever it is) but now it just shows how much free space I have even with the Transfer Pending. Help would be very appreciated, or a VERY detailed step by step?

?Yea When you get it figured out, let the rest of us know. There is an old saying out here. Keep It Simple Stupid. or KISS for short. The programmers that created Creative Centrale need to be replaced or do a whole rewrite of the software. I do not want to open CC in the default music folder on my HD. I am deleting or moving files from my HD when I thought I was in the MP3 player. Not being a genius on my part but when you look at the file format and GUI, man they look very similar. It should default to the MP3 player. The software for my original ZEN was so nice and made a hell of a lot of common sense. Something the current set of college grads and interns don't seem to have. Bring back or in-cooperate Play for Sure. Let me access the MP3 player from my HD and let me do coping and editing of the play list w/o open up Creatives software or any other mp3 player to create some God awful m3u list. All this should be LIKE DUH! So, if this ever gets forwarded to the programmers, Keep It Simple STUPID.

CREATIVE CENTRALE WONT OPEN

I have windows xp professional. I just opened my new zen mozaic last night,installed it,and opened creative centrale..and it does not open. I sent an email to creative labs and all the guy said to do is uninstall it,and then he gave me a link to a starter pack on this website. So I did it, I uninstalled what I had last night, and reinstalled the one on the website. I opened up creative centrale and it won't work. It just does nothing,won't open. What do I do? Please someone help me this is extremely frustrating. I tried everything!!! I'm pulling my hair out! Help!!!!!!!!!!!!

Creative Centrale for Mac + Replacement Download?

Hi,
Several years ago I bought a Zen Touch 2 and installed Creative Centrale onto my home computer (Windows). Since then I have upgraded to an Apple Macbook Pro and no longer have the installation disc nor my old computer. This means I don't have a copy of Creative Centrale and I have not been able to update firmware or properly manage my music! Is there some way of getting the application and does it even exist on Mac?

Creative Centrale werkt niet meer (Creative Centrale doesn't work anymore)

I have installed Creative Centrale on my laptop (windows vista) but when I want to start it I get the message "Creative Centrale does not work any more"? (in Dutch). When I try to delete the programme from my laptop I get the same message. When I try to install it again I get the message that it is already installed and when I confirm that it should be deleted the install wizard gives me the message "busy deleting creative centrale" but it gets stuck. Can someone help me with this problem? How can I delete creative centrale and install it again?

Wireless remote control and FM transmitter in one?

Hello.
Does anbody know if there is a wireless remote control and FM transmitter in one product out yet for the iPod? I am wanting to keep my iPod in the trunk of my GoldWing and control it while I ride transmitting through the FM tuner.
Other ideas or a combination of products to accomplish this much appreciated!

I spent some time (2 hrs) again with the vendor, trying to solve the issue.
The only result we got is that, when the PC is in suspended status, it can be resumed by pressing "ON" button of the IR Remote Control. That's all.
My suspect is therefore confirmed: it isn't a hardware issue. It lokks like the IR Remote Controller and the PC can talk eachother, but they speak different languages.
It is quite a surprise that I couldn't find any information on the use (Settings? Activation?) of the remote control, nor in the topics of this forum. Really I'm the only one trying to watch TV on the PC? Are there any users of a C540 who can tell me their experience?

I upgraded from a 1st generation to a 4th generation time capsule (model A4109) and since then my pay TV wireless transmitter has pulsating interference. This is obviously due to the new dual band frequency of the TC. Is there any way I can set it to one band and what will that do?

Go in and manually set the wireless channel for 2.4ghz or 5ghz (whichever your av sender is).. try different channels.

Trouble Adding Movies - CMV Files and Creative Centrale

I've been trying to use Creative Centrale, it starts transfering movies until the window pops up again acting as if I've just reconnected my mp3 again to the computer and stops the transferring process.

I'm having trouble downloading the Creative Cloud and I think it many be a problem with my internet speed. We have a cable wireless modem.

I am trying to download the Creative Cloud with Photoshop and Lightroom. It doesn't load and I actually let it run all night and it still didn't load. I uninstalled Creative Cloud and tried again. What am I doing wrong? Could it be that I am using wireless?

Unable to select folders for Creative Centrale sync

I have a Zen X-Fi wireless LAN MP3 player, bought yesterday. I keep the files I want to sync to my player in the folders Shared Music, Shared Videos, and Shared Pictures.
I keep files waiting to be edited/finished in My Music, My Pictures, and My Videos.
How do I get Creative Centrale to sync the files in the shared folders and ignore the files in the My Documents folders? At the moment I can add the shared forders to the watched folders?list with no trouble but it seems impossible to remove the others as they are greyed out and appear to be hard coded onto the software. As a result a lot of unfinished files are in the sync list which I obvioiusly do not want.

I don't understand what you explain, but i'll try to help.
You have selected to view by tags, its selected in the upper line of icons, the one next to downloads folder icon, you can select to order by other things (date, name, etc...), but even in tag view you have the no-tag-list so you don't need to add tags to everything.
Had this been a clue?

Zen X-Fi buffering problems with Creative Centrale Media Server

? I have set up Creative Centrale as a Media Server, and can view all the folders (music, photo etc) wirelessly on my Zen X-Fi 6GB. However, when trying to play music, I get a quick message on the player saying 'buffering', then nothing happens. When trying to view photos, it displays a blank screen.
Any help much appreciated.

C Sorry to bump this, but I am having the same problem and have not got any useful help from creative support. I am able to connect to the Centrale media server and see the files in the library, but I am getting the same brief "Buffering" message, then nothing. I can stream through the Creative MediaBox option with no problems. Any advice would be very [email protected]

Just tested something and it worked.
If I put the headphones all the way in, the mac recognizes it as a digital output.
But if i don't put it all the way in, it recognizes it as headphones and works perfectly.
It's probably this crappy headphones.
If anyone has the same problem, try this out.

Creative centrale continues to be rubbish, how hard is it to fix these bugs?

?I cant bloody believe that creative centrale is so hard to make just WORK.
Firstly when i delete one track off my playlist via centrale, 2-3 random tracks gets wiped off the list. Secondly the programs search feature is virtually useless. Thirdly the program randomly crashes/locks up.
Do NOT pester me with what version im using/is windows updated/did i pay my electrical bill and what the **bleep** ever.
All these bugs you are PERFECTLY aware of cause, and you should **bleep** well have the professional pride to just **bleep**ing fix it.
You have sold me a Ferrari (X-Fi2) among mp3 players, with a 978 Lada motor (centrale) under the bloody hood.
Oh, and post scriptum: The half second lag x-fi2 provides with any x-(fidelity) enabled is also a real killer. Great **bleep**ing work on the end too...and yes its running .22.03.

P?This user interface is the worst piece of garbage I've ever attempted to use. It is totally incomprehensible, especially after the previous interface that was so wonderfully intuiti've.
It can't find files on my hard dri've, I cannot for the life of me figure out how to transfer files OFF of the device onto the hard dri've (gee, who would ever want to do such an esoteric thing?) and trying to figure out how to "tag" files, use the genres, playlists and artists functions is like trying to do yoga on the moon without oxygen.
I have literally spent 0+ hours struggling with this piece of crap. I've got the latest version, I've formatted to start from scratch, everything.
Great job scrapping a great little user-friendly interface for this horrible crap. I will never, ever buy another Creative MP3 player again due only to your "creative centrale" debacle.

Creative "Tasks" and "Contacts" X-FI

How in the world do you put your contacts on Creative X-FI
There is no help on it, I followed a link on this forum and got:

No where does the Creative Centrale have *anything* on Contacts. Yet my X-FI tells me to use
Centrale to upload and download them.
I guess I either am misunderstanding what "contacts" and "tasks" mean, or I can't seem to find them
with Creative software...

It took me a little while to figure it out, but it's available under the first menu in Centrale (my player isn't connected right now so I can't check, but it's context sensiti've. Probably only available when you click your player in Centrale and then select the wrench/screwdriver icon. Possibly another combination, but it's under that menu). Works perfectly for me.

Creative centrale can't play music files stored on Zen X-Fi.

<\I installed Creative Centrale, connected the player and it gets recognized alright, but for some reason I can't play the music files stored on it, is it normal? Centrale plays the files on PC just fine, but if I try to play the files on the player nothing happens. I wanted to know if this is normal and if it's not, how to fix this problem.

Anyone has any clue if this is normal or not? I find it quite odd that a creative software is unable to play music stored on creative players.
