    HOW TO DELETE FILES or FOLDERS or Assets from Adobe Creative Cloud Brouser/Web Portal By: Kai Buskirk rev:130626
    Adobe now burried deleting or trashing unwanted iteams files or folders in the Archive section of your creative cloud brouser/web portal.
    Note!! - No longeer is there a standard TrashCan icon or simple Delete button... its burried in the archive sector: but why i ask?
    An archive is an accumulation of historical records, or the physical place they are located.[1] Archives contain primary source documents that have accumulated over the course of an individual or organization's lifetime, and are kept to show the function of that person or organization. Professional archivists and historians generally understand archives to be records that have been naturally and necessarily generated as a product of regular legal, commercial, administrative or social activities.
    In general, archives consist of records that have been selected for permanent or long-term preservation on grounds of their enduring cultural, historical, or evidentiary value. Archival records are normally unpublished and almost always unique, unlike books or magazines for which many identical copies exist. This means that archives (the places) are quite distinct from libraries with regard to their functions and organization, although archival collections can often be found within library buildings
    A person who works in archives is called an archivist. The study and practice of organizing, preserving, and providing access to information and materials in archives is called archival science. The physical place of storage is sometimes referred to as an archive repository.
    To delete files folders or individual assests in the current incarnation of adobe creative cloud brouser/web portal rev:130626
    1 - Check mark the box on left and select files or folders you would like Deleted/Trashed and move them to the ARCHIVE folder location inside your adobe creative cloud brouser/web portal....Then navigate to the ARCHIVE SECTION
    2 - Once the files or folders you have check marked are moved to the ARCHIVE folder location you can select them for Permanant Deletion (Trash)
    ps: you can also restore them......if you so choose....
    3 - in case you missed this step after selecting/checking the files or folders in the ARCHIVE folder there is a small Triangle Selector drop down that will reviel the Permanently Delete option.... clicking that is the point of no return i think..... so do not be misled my the use of the term ARCHIVE.... DELETING PERMANANTLY IS DELETING YO!
    4 - OK DONE NOW YOU GOT IT .....

    Do Creative Cloud & Adobe Application Manager do the same thing/ duplicate each other?
    Creative Cloud says Photoshop CC is up to date & on checking the version, it's on 14.1.1
    CS6 (which i already had installed before joining CC) recently updated itself to CS6 'Extended' & currently shows as version 13.0.1
    Adobe Application Manager popped up today saying there's an update for Photoshop CS6 & Photoshop CC to 13.1.2   it states:
    "This Adobe® Photoshop® and Photoshop Extended 13.1.2 update installs new features for Adobe Creative Cloud members and Photoshop subscribers. It offers exciting new capabilities for design, photography and more, including the freedom to nondestructively edit with Blur Gallery and Liquify using new Smart Object support, the ability to export text and shapes as CSS, the option to create Conditional Actions, and support for new HiDPI displays that enable a dramatic improvement in image fidelity and resolution. Other new workflow timesavers are also included. Customers with Photoshop Extended will also receive new 3D options including improved live previews that simplify the creation of shadows and reflections in 3D artwork and a 32-bit color picker for better illumination control, and more."
    Am I too assume that Creative Cloud only updates Phtoshop CC & that Adobe Application manager updates CS6? 
    I guess too that if i click 'update' in Adobe Application Manager, it will update CS6 & leave CC as it is? (if I deselect the CC update, it deselects the CS6 update too).

    Thanks Kartikay. I'm sure i'd read somewhere on the forums that Creative Cloud when installed would replace the Application manager? However, I went ahead and clicked on 'update' in Application manager & it said it was trying to apply 'Photoshop 13.1.2 for Creative Cloud' (no mention of CS6). Tthe update failed with the following message:
    'Photoshop 13.1.2 for Creative Cloud
    Installation failed. Error code: U44M1P7'
    I've tried removing Photoshop CC from the list of programs to check for updates for in Application Manager but that made no difference either - the update for   'Photoshop 13.1.2 for Creative Cloud' remains & failed again when I tried to apply it.
    I then tried removing CS6 from the list of programs to be checked in Application Manager & then it reported all my programs are up to date; when re-checked the box for CS6 the update reappears.
    So it seems there is an update for CS6 but there's the 'Photoshop 13.1.2 for Creative Cloud' update linked to it which cannot be unticked without removing the CS6 update as well. If I try to check for updates within CS6, the same problem occurs.
    So if the update is indeed just for CS6, how can i apply the update?

  • Premiere Pro, Creative Cloud & Adobe Application Manager all wont open.

    One day it was fine, the next it's not. My Premiere Pro, Creative Cloud & Adobe Application Manager all wont open.
    No error messages, it just doesn't open. I can't get through to talk to staff (because why should you be able to right? You only pay for the service..)
    Could someone please shed some light on my situation?
    My Lightroom and Photoshop are running fine as normal. I wish I could provide more information but it's really that simple - none of it will open.

    At this point, I think I'd just download & run the Adobe CC Cleaner app, and use it to uninstall & clean up your PrPro & the Creative Cloud desktop app itself ... then download a fresh copy of the CC desktop app, install & sign into your account, then download & reinstall PrPro ...

    If you don't already know enough about Flash's capabilities to answer this then you might want to consider an alternate solution, although the level of customization will be limited. The publishing portion of the application family can easily produce ebooks:

    That's about as drag and drop as you can get for your basic needs.
    If you need deep customization at the same time then Flash is perfectly good at this kind of thing, but there is no "easy button" that will do it all for you. There are many flipbook creation services (similar to the digital publishing route), but since you want RSS feeds, controls, sound, etc you may find the result isn't as complicated as you need.
    I'd suggest just using Flash, getting a page roll effect plugin and creating your book by hand, giving you the full coding power of Flash to perform all your tasks. Some of them, like basic page flipping, you can find project source code for (page clipping example).

  • I can download (from cloud) Adobe Lightroom 4 but it will not open - error 0x000007b

    I can download, from Cloud, other Adobe products BUT when I download Lightroom 4 it will not open and gives an error message "This application was unable to start correctly (0x000007b).
    Previously I had purchased, singularily, Lightroom 3 and it worked well for almost a year but suddently when I would try to open I received the same error message as above.   I have tried MULTIPLE courses to try to fix this but cannot.

    Thank you for your reply.   Other adobe apps are not a problem, i.e., Adobephotoshop, Adobe Acrobat Xi, etc.   The version 3 that was initially purchased worked fine for several months and then reverted to the error message agove.   When I purchased Cloud and downloaded LR4 the download was fine but again would not open.   I have spent hours on the phone with tech help from India and it was a massive waste of time....   I ran a repair on Windows, downloaded 32bit version of LR3 and it seems to work some...could not find 32bit of LR4.    I have installed and removed the program more than 10 times.   I do not know what "event viewer" is nor where I would find it.   Disappointed in the system and appalled with tech support.

    hello, I agree has a subscription from the Adobe Cloud 14/09/2012.
    Since today I no longer have access to the service?
    When I agree to the subscription I suggest that it was for the year, but apparently Adobe has not taken into account.
    I do not see any place you must manually click to pay in order to regain access to Adobe software.

    We have a major issue with the way this works... we have no internet on our workstations, and want to deploy... it appears there is NO WAY to do an offline activation using the AAMEE program!!! This is a major oversight for people who work on contained networks, with zero internet on any workstations where the deployment can be made.
    Please let me know of a way round this, it is quite urgent!
