Creative Webcam NX Ultra

How can I click a still image with the 1.3 MP resolution? User manual and PDFs on th eCD does not give any help on this. It just say you can have this resolution by software enhancement. How to really get an image with this resolution?

Does any know, what the frame rate is for the Creative WebCam NX Ultra

If you check the specifications, for this webcam. It's listed running 640x480, 320x240, 352x288, and 60x20 resolutions. What is the frame rate? If I run this webcam at 640*480 resolution.

Creative NX Ultra and Creative WebCam Center.

Hello. Just installed my Creative NX Ultra webcam, and it works good with msn etc, but when I run Creative WebCam Center I get this; "No supported Creative camera detected. Please plug in to continue." I have no idea what to do, I've tried reinstalling the webcam drivers and the webcam center, but it doesn't work. Any suggestions?

I don't have the same issues as you do, but wanted to see if we have the same camera or not, maybe help each other out even.. I'm thinking that I bought my camera a couple of years ago, but I only had it hooked up and tried it once. At that time, it seemed like it worked fine, but now the video doesn't look that great and I'm even wondering if it is the right software! I have a seperate headset. But being as I've never turned it on again after that, I've had to reinstall and not 100% sure if there is an upgrade or not for the software. So what version software do you have?
I have version 2.03.01 and it says PC-CAM Center for the NX ultra. I says Instant Live Video chats, but being as I'm not to sure yet how to use it, I am wonderng why it tells me to "save".. I would have thought that if your using it online, why would you save it?
At anyrate.. if you or anyone else should see this, is there a higher version for the software?
AND, I want some advice of what to buy for working online, I need a camera for this. Am I supposed to get a new headset to match?..
I hope someone gets back to me soon, cause I've been advised to buy another brand and I really don't want to, being as Everything else on my computer is set up for sound using Creative labs.

Webcam NX Ultra cannot load windows 7 drivers

Hi please help - I was so excited to see the windows 7 drivers for my webcam NX ultra - but I cannot load them . Installation wizard gets to a certain point and then it says driver installation failed. I have tried unistalling the camera, unistalling anything with creative in the title in my registry - always same result installation fails - PLEASE HELP - if I cannot get this to work I will bever buy another creative product - my logitech camera which is 5 years older has windows 7 drivers and works fine. Com-on creative get with it

Problems with microphone (incl. w/ WebCam NX Ultra)

This is about the only section that would be related, so I have my WebCam NX Ultra working perfectly, for the headphones/microphone that came with it, the sound works fine, but the microphone doesn't work. Apparently I have the proper drivers (which would be Generic) for the sound, but the microphone doesn't work, so I'm guessing I need a certain driver for it or something...help me out. How do I get my microphone to work?

I have had a Creative Pro Web Cam for a year and a half and in that time my family has not once been able to hear me. I could always hear them, but now can't seem to hear them either. They are losing patience. I have checked all the usual things like volume and the microphone not being in mute, etc. I have gone into the Center and the audio is enabled. What am I supposed to have for Audio Compressor and Audio Format or am I supposed to have anything. Also, should my volume setting be for playback or recording. I have tried it in both. Everything is plugged in correctly. I would just like to throw it in the garbage I am so annoyed. Downloaded Yahoo but it does not work on yahoo either. Please someone; why can they never hear me and why can't I hear them suddenly. I have tested the microphone incidentally and it works just fine. Woody

I lost my drivers CD Webcam NX Ultra and cant find in creative site. Only an upgrade, but I need the complete drivers...how can I have it's and the bundled software?

Apple provides the BootCamp Driver on the Mac OSX install DVD that came with your Mac.
After the installation of Windows insert that DVD while in WIndows and the Driver Setup should start automatically.
If you don't have the OSX DVD anymore you can call Apple and ask for a replacement.
Or you can go into the nearest store and buy a Mac OSX Snow Leopard install DVD for about 30 USD.
XP is supported with BootCamp as long as it a XP SP2 or SP3 32-bit retail or SystemBuilder version and not manufacturer-branded.

Creative webcam pd1030

I have a 'Creative CREATIVE PD 1030 webcam that I bought years ago . I installed the software and the camera has the green light 'ON' but I cannot have any pictuure on MSN or Yahoo.messenger
I downloaded the last driver, but nothing works
What do I have to do??.

I have the same issue with creative webcam ultra as well.
I have installed the recommended xp hotfix KB822603 and inspite of that
the webcam uses up almost 70% of CPU on my 1.6Ghz duron
I am using the latest webcam driver.
Any solutions ?

Vista and Webcam NX Ultra

Will the Webcam NX Ultra work with the Vista operating system? Thank you.

If you haven't try the XP 64 bit driver,

before trying to install right click on it, click on the Compatibility tab and set it to XP mode. May or may not work, but doing this worked for me with my Webcam Instant and the XP 64 driver.
P.S. If the above link doesn't work try this one,

scroll down to the bottom and select XP 64 bit.

Webcam Live Ultra conferencing

We're thinking about purchasing some of these webcams for internal use in our company. Can anyone tell me if they support many to one for conferencing or is it just one to one video?

I have the same experience - in a low light-level environment,
the cameras deliver 2fps to 5fps.
In a very bright environment,
the cameras deli'ver about 8fps to 25fps - but never more.
On the other hand, I realized that you can't get all the way to
30fps if your monitor refresh rate isn't exactly 60Hz or 90Hz.
Though my computer was ADVERTIZED as USB 2.0 and
my invoice states it has 6 USB 2.0 ports, chasing problems
with these cameras led me to discover they are USB . ports!
In device manager (or somewhere) it told me which chip was
the USB controller, and when I checked the intel website,
I learned the truth. My "webcam li've ultra for notebooks"
cameras did work in the USB . ports, but for some very
strange reason the camera [or driver] forced the images
into some horrible wacko compressed mode that showed
horrible blockiness at about every 8th or 6th pixel - and the
frame rate was stuck at fps to 2fps.
When I added a 5-port USB 2.0 PCI card to my computer and tried again,
the image blockiness vanished, and my frame rates rose
to 5fps in not-very-bright indoor lighting, and up-to 25fps
in so-bright-you-the-monitor-reflections-are-blazing.
So it is possible, anyway. My computer is 2.0 GHz P4,
most importantly - with Windows2000. WindowsXP SP2
seems to be a problem - with creative webcams, and in
many other ways.

Webcam NX ultra Image always visible???

Is it possible to have the webcam image stay visible"on top" of any application that I call up?

I had the same problem with the Webcam Live! Ultra. Having tried everything creative suggested and uninstalling, reinstalling latest drivers and software for everything I own I even tried a fresh install of Windows XP Professional..but all I got was the same black screen.
So, I went into my BIOS and disabled my USB 2.0 Controller thus leaving only my USB . Controller enabled. Now I get an image perfectly fine! Shame I have to run my USB at slower speeds, but at least everything works. Maybe a future Creative Webcam driver or VIA USB driver will fix the problem, or maybe I will just have to wait until I upgrade my motherboard to have full USB 2.0 support.
Anyway, I hope this helps!

Hello, i recently e-mailed to the customer service of creative and asked for a windows x64 driver for the webcam NX Ultra. Since it isn't quite clear to me weither or not there is one or not, or it is in development, i don't know.

You can find a compatibility list in our knowledgebase by searching for article SID7824. Unfortunately, it appears that the WebCam Vista and NX have no development planned for x64.

Creative WebCam Vista Plus on USB PCI Card (VIA VT 6212) on Windows ME - doesnt work !!

PC turns off when the Vista Plus WebCam is connected to the USB port on my USB PCI Card
I use a primitive Intel Celeron 300Mhz processor with 64MB RAM on an Intel 440BX-AT Chipset running on Window ME. I recently installed a USB PCI Card (based on the VIA VT 622 chipset) which is a 394/USB 2.0 Combo. The problem is my 'Creative WebCam Vista Plus' doesnt work with it.
After I had installed the drivers on the 'Creative WebCam Vista Plus' CD - that is - without connecting the webcam to my USB PCI card the installation asks me to connect the webcam to the USB port and When I do that the PC just GOES OFF !
It starts up only in SAFE MODE and each time I've got to restore my PC.
How do I get the WebCam connected to my PC ?

9hours later and Ive given up. I cant get the Vista 64 Ultimate to work with the Audigy 2Nx usb sound card. Im very angry and very frustrated (not to mention very tired from the 2 late nights Ive spent trying to work it out). Im not a PC-noob, but am only 4days into my Vista ownership................... Im guessing now, after much research, that there will never be a driver that gets these units to work with Vista 64bit. thats pretty weak Creative. However, I dont want to use crappy onboard sound for my gaming.What is the suggestion?Should I be looking at returning this unit, and buying either the X-Fi Xtremegamer?Fatality Pro as?a highend device, or the X-Fi Xtremegamer for $00 less? Or should I be looking at another manufacturer. Would either of these x-fi gamers work with Vista 64bit Ultimate?suggestions please?

Creative WebCam Vista Plus - need Driver for Vis

I've a problem with my WebCam. I've bougth the Creative WebCam Vista Plus and everything working fine, using WinXP.
Now I bougth a new PC with Vista Business 64bit. I plugged in the WebCam and wondered, that the Vista drivers are not allready on bord. So I tryed to download the driver from the Creative Support Site. There I got only the answer, that there is no download available for my product... !!
By the time I bought the Cam i thougth, that I am buying a future-proof product. I mean, even the name of the cam includes the word VISTA! Isn't that crazy
Does everone know a possibility to get the Cam working I'm realy upset about the driver-policy from Creative.
Another thing is, to find the german website. Why i cant usw www.creative.de I had to google the adress... http://de.europe.creative.com/welcome.asp

Can you click on the details for the error report and post up what it says. If it reports something about Apple causing the problem then you could try updating your QuickTime to the latest version.
