Credit Check/Online Order Charges

I just placed an order around 425pm pacific time for a new phone. I am a new user signing up for a brand new account. Shortly after I placed my order I noticed that they charged my debit card already. They also updated my order status to shipped, but do not show any tracking number.
I called VZW and spoke to several customer service representatives, and also TeleSales department and they told me that my order could not be looked up due to the fact that it was placed online today. They also said that my order would not be in the system until monday, my card would not be charged until monday, and it would not be shipped until monday.
I am concerned because I have a sketchy credit history with cell phone bills and a prior VZW account from several years ago.
My questions are these two:
1) Do they only charge your card if the phone ships the same day?
2) I assume I passed the credit check for them to charge my card, or somehow there is an error in the system to let me get through
I really did not think they would approve the credit but thought it would be worth a shot to try with the sales going on.
Any insight would be great, thanks.

Thanks for the insight. According to my bank, Bank Of America. It specifically lists the charge as an "Authorization". Not a hold. The money has been taken out of my account. Sure, if it never ships, they can reverse the transaction. But thats not the point.
We can argue about words all day. All I posted was a question for some insight as to why they AUTHORIZED a charge and updated my order status to shipped without a tracking number. If they havent shipped it yet, they should not have authorized a charge on my account and updated its status to shipped. This is what VZW Customer Service Reps told me. They will not authorize a charge or update it to shipped until it ships. I was told twice from 2 different Reps, that if these two things happened then IT MUST HAVE SHIPPED.
But, only time will tell. If they dont ship it until monday then I have no problem with it. I just need to know when to be home to sign for it. Or I need a tracking number so I can authorize FedEx to leave the package with no signature.

  • Static Credit Checks - Open orders - Confirmed quantity vs total quantity

We are using static credit checks. Credit currently only sees open orders with a confirmed quanitity.
Customer orders 10 items we have 5 in stock. Credit check runs, credit is evaluated basd on the confirmed open quanitity of 5. The order gets a credit block. Credit rep releases the order.
A few days later the balance of the order arrives in the warehouse. The remaining 5 are confirmed on the order. Since the confirmed quantity has been increased and subsequently the confirmed open value, the order goes back to credit.
We frequently encounter this situatuion and are looking for ways to reduce the number of credit round trips.
If we wanted to base the credit check on the total quantity / order value, as opposed to the confirmed quantity / value what do we need to change.
    Insights are appreciated.

    Hi cann
As you are going with static credit checks, system will check the order and if it exceeds it will throw an message (error , warning )
Now again , if you create another sales order , that value will not be taken into consideration , system again will check for the credit limit amount
    For example :
    credit limit - 10000
    sales orders - 1010, 1011
    1010 sales order value - 11000
    1011 sales order value - 10500
Now when you create a sales order system will check the credit limit 10000. and once you save it and create another sales order (1011), again system will check for the same credit limit 10000.
The credit limit gets reset  once the order is saved ,in static check
Now any open quantities are there means and when it gets confirmed then system will check for those open quantity also
To minimize all these use dynamic credit check

  • Trigger standard credit check on order after it is Booked

    Hello,
The sales order is interfaced from Siebel and other third party systems and imported in "Booked" status. Is it possible to trigger standard credit check for such an order/customer and place the order on credit hold if the credit limit has been exceeded? To be noted - the order is NOT being booked in EBS; it is being brought in as Booked, and we still need to do a credit check. Can this be achieved with standard functionality? Is there any standard way to start credit check other than order booking event
    Thanks in advance!

Current credit check at Booking event is not working ?
My first guess is that 'Booking' should be working same irrespective of UI or API call(so Credit check must be happening if there are credit check rules).

  • Sales orders from CRM are not getting blocked with credit check

    Hi All
I have configured ECC in such a way that , if cutomer does not have enough creditlimt, then those sales order will get blocked. Our orders will come from CRM, and some times some orders are not getting blocked with credit check even though the customer does not have credit limit. And at the same time some orders are blocked with credit check...what are all the things that should be checked to diagnose the problem.
Thanks in advance for looking into this

Please check if you have any custom code/user exit in ECC which uses transaction code (VA01 , VA02 or VA05 etc) prior to invoking credit checks.
Orders created via CRM will not have transaction code set (SY-TCODE).

  • Automatic Credit check.

    Dear Gurus,
While running the Automatic Credit we have the Options like we can control the customers at Order level,Delivery level and Goods Issue Level. Suppose if we want control at delivery level,How system checks the Value of the delivery while creating? In delivery document there is no pricing conditions?

    Hello
Order level means whether you want to save the order or not ,that is done after credit checking  the order value
Delivery level means whether you want to save the delivery or not
Here also the credit check is based on sales order only
It is like blocking or checking at the second level
The base for credit check is Sales order value only
This is  not only in SAP ,but Business logic too
so delivery doc does not have pricing  conditions doesnot carry any meaning here

After Adobe's servers were breached I received a phonecall from my bank, stating that someone had used my credit card at a hotel in Mexico (I live in Ohio). I closed that credit card and was issued a new card. I want to update my card information on my Creative Cloud subscription. I chatted via the web with a customer service rep today. He was anable to help me. He suggested I call the Care Center. The hold was estimated at 2 hours. All I want to do is update my card information so the next time Adobe automatically bills for my subscription the transaction doesn't bounce.

  • Is Credit Check Per Line Item in Sales Order  Possible?

    Dear All,
Hope you all are doing well !!!
Infact i am currently implementing OPM and SCM modules for a CSD (carbonated soft drinks) industry. They have a specific requirement on Credit Management. Please look at the Requirement Below.
Credit Management Per Line on SO
Client Charges Distributors for both Liquids (Finished Product) + [Return Glass Bottles and Shells) for the First Time.
Subsequently while returning RGB(Return Glass Bottles)'s and Shell's are being given Credit memos.
CBL gives credit only on Bottles & shells but not on Liquids.
For Liquids CBL takes the Prepayment & Its Compulsory.
So the Credit limit needs to be check on the bottles and shells only.
Oracle E-Business Suite Credit Management does not work per line item for a
Particular Sales Order. It works on total Sales Order. as this is not a standard Process in Oracle how we can achieve this without customization.
Please suggest me through any workaround we can achieve this and its a show stopper for us and business critical for my client. Please help me on this regard.

I'd suggest writing your own might be easier. Oracle buckets the exposure as per the list below whereas you are probably only interested in seeing a total order exposure (by line item for bottles/shells) and total AR exposure summary.
Also the standard report will look at the unit sell * the ordered quantity in calculating transaction amounts on open orders which is your problem. If I've understood your requirement correctly, you only want to consider the shells and bottles in the credit check because you enforce prepayment for liquids so presumably your AR o/s balances are only for money owing on shells and bottles.
In that case, your only real issue is at the order entry stage (again because Oracle will be considering the total transaction value if you're using the standard automated credit check) which is why I suggested the manual workaround there.

  • Open sales order value for credit check need to be changed (S066)

    Hi all,
I need to change open sales order value which is already there in S066 table.
Previously we had used open order value for credit check. Open order values are already updated in the S066 table.
Now we dont want to consider open order value for credit check (which is already included in the credit exposure field in FD32).
When we create sales order system is taking old open order value for credit. Now i have changed not to update open order value for credit check. Now its not updating open order value. But my issue is how to change existing or (previous) open order value for credit?
Can i change S066 table data directly to '0'. Is it advisable to chage open order value directly from this table?
    Please advise me.
    Regards,
    Babu
Edited by: babs on May 19, 2010 4:26 PM

    Hi Babs,
If you doesn't want to reflect the open order value in the structure for this order value ,If the order is not processed kindly delete the line items and the order. Then save the document. Then try to see the structure S066.. This will be modified.
If you want to modify the value then follow the below process.
Otherwise delete the line item in the order and change the pricing date and the document date. Re enter the line item again so that it will take it up the new changes.
    I hope it will help.

  • Orders going on credit check hold in oracle

New sales order is getting hold even there are open credits (Unapplied Receipts & AR Account Credits with open balance)
    Example
However there are open credits (Unapplied Receipts & AR Credits with open balance) to the tune of $200
If we don’t consider the AR Credits, the Outstanding Invoice Balance is “$900” .
To this if I add the Outstanding orders in OM for this customer as per the “Orders on Credit Check Hold Report”- $250—That will put the total balance as $1150
This balance exceeds the credit limit of $1000
To prove this theory I have applied some Invoices to the $200 receipt there by bringing down the open Invoice Balance and then entered an order and that new order did not go on Hold.
Is this the solution to get rid of hold or its something else?
    Thanks

This could be one of the solutions.
Alternatively, you could review your Credit Hold setup to check that what all transactions are being considered when calculating the credit amount.
Also there is a concurrent program which needs to be executed so that the calculation is refreshed periodically.

  • Sales Order Credit Check after Booking

    Hi Gurus,
I have to meet the below requirement in Sales order entry:
Credit Check is enabled during Booking of the sales order. A sales order is entered now with one item and 10 numbers as quantity. While booking, the system checks for credit limit and the order is now in 'Booked' status. Now, when I change the quantity to 15 from 10, the system has to again do the credit checking process. Can this be achieved using functionality like processing constraints or any other? If so please elaborate me the setup required for the same.
    Thanks

When defining the Transactions Type, you need to define the Credit Check Rule when it fires like BOOKING/PICKING/SHIPPING/PAKCING.

  • Dynamic Credit check - problem -Delivery creation from Sales order

    Hi
we have a problem which i would appreciate some help with.
Sales order is blocked for credit and subsequently released via VKM1
BUT as soon as line item is selected and then Sales document > deliver -
the Dynamic credit block kicks in again straight away, no other changes have been made
    why is this occurring ?
I managed to get round the problem by creating delivery via VL10c and selecting line item and then create in background

    Hi Tony,
Do you have a credit check active again at Delivery level?
In OVA8 - for the combination of credit control area, risk cat & credit group - please check field 'Number of days'.
If you do not wish to carry out the credit check again for the released doc, here you can maintain the number of days.
Description of F1 for this field is as below.
Credit check: Number of days without check
Specifies the number of days after which a changed document must be re-checked for credit.
    Use
This function is used for checking documents that have already been released by a credit representative, but that have subsequently been changed. The system does NOT carry out another credit check if the following conditions are met:
The value of the changed order is not greater than the value already approved for credit (inclusive of the deviation factor), AND
The current date is not greater than the original release date plus the number of days specified here

  • Incoming orders in COPA not working if Sales Order blocked for Credit Check

    Hi all,
We need to build a report showing all incoming sales order by entry date and/or change date (change of values or quantities later on). COPA allows to do this, but the problem is that COPA line item table is only updated if the sales order is released from credit check (VKM3). I am looking for a solution to be able to record sales orders in COPA even if they are still blocked for credit check. By doing that we will be able to report all sales orders entered from COPA and provide basis for commissions calculation to the business.
I have investigated possible COPA enhancements like COPA0005 but it doesn't seem to be used at the time of sales order save.
    Thanks.

    Hello ,
    Thanks for the reply
As you said , the credit check in the service order is information message "Credit check (maximum percentage for ope
    exceeded)" .
If you enter and come out this message then one more message will come , i.e., "The business transaction can not be carried out" detail message -  System status CNOK is active (ORD XXXXXXX).
with the above message , system will not allow to do the Service order release.
In this particular case , we have done the VKM1 for the sales order to unblock the order from credit check . But again system is checking the credit check at service order (created w.r.t sales order) . we are not able to control this .
we also suggested the solution to the customer , saying removal of credit check for service orders . But customer requires credit check to happen at both the documents.
