Credit note due date

Hi
Client wants the due date in a credit note (A/R) to reflect a date according to the Payment term of a customer. This I can achieve with a formatted search. The payment terms for  customers are -
30 days
Due date based on posting date
Start from month end + 1 month + 7 days
60 days
Due date based on posting date
Start from month end + 2 months + 7 days
How to do a SQL query like that is a bit advanced for me.
Can anyone help, please?

Hi,
The Due date will be grayed out in the Credit memo in case it
was based on an Invoice.
In case the Credit memo is not based on another document, the Due date
will be changeable as mentioned in the note [941272].
it is by system design that credit memos retrieve their due date from
their posting date and not based on the defined payment terms
This behaviour is consistent through all versions.

  • FB60 - Credit Note: Baseline Date Determination

    Hi  Experts
At present I have an AP function who use FB60 to post manual Invoices and Credits to Vendors. The issue is that when a Credit is selected (Doc Type: KG) the baseline date and the subsequent due date are not being determined and have to be entered manually. The system will not let the user proceed until the data has been entered.
If FB65 credit (Doc Type: KG) is processed using the same data (Vendor, Date, Payment Terms etc) as used in FB60 the system determines the baseline date and due date.
I have also compared back to the legacy SAP 4.6 System and this functions correctly, the baseline and due dates are determined automatically.
I have worked through all of the standard configuration: Doc Types, Screen Layouts, Transaction Variants, Posting Keys, Default Values, Field Status Groups etc and cannot find the issue.
Please advise if you have any ideas or have experienced the same. My next step is to request one of the programmers to take a look.
    Thanks. RS

    Hello,
This is intended design from SAP.
    See below OSS note:
    https://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/1446873
Because a credit memo is usually considered to be "due immediately", there is no indication which date the system should propose as a baseline date for payment (document/posting/CPU/other date?) if the terms of payment key (field ZTERM initial) is missing. For this reason, the user must set the required baseline date for payment manually.
To avoid this inconvenience, you have the following options:
    1. Instead of the procedure described above, you use transaction FB65 (FB75) that is provided for this business transaction, because this is configured accordingly.
    2. In the business partner master data, you define a terms of payment key for credit memos (field LFB1-GUZTE or KNB1-GUZTE). This can be used to give the program a default value for the baseline date for payment.
    3. In your processing options (in FB60 You will find a button called EDITING OPTION in the top left), you set the #Always Use Payment Base Deadline# indicator (field RFOPTE-XZFBO='X').
    Hope this helps.

  • Due date calculation for the credit memo with invoice reference.

    Hi,
When we create the credit memo with reference to invoice, the due date for the credit memo is getting copied from Invoice. In this case if the invoice is due on 31.12.2008 and the credit memo is created on 10.09.2009, then the credit memo due date is appearing as 31.12.2008. It should be 10.09.2009 as per the setting in VOFA billing type customisation in "Credit Memo w/vldt".
I would like to know how to customise the below requirement.
If the reference invoice is due after the credit memo creation, the the credit memo should due as per the invoice date.
If the invoice due is past & then the credit memo due date should be Immediate i.e. Due Immediately.
    Thanks in advance for help.
    Regards,
    Nithin

I doubt there is such option. From the past projects I do remember that we made a change in the form to print the document date as 'Due Date' for credit memos. Credit memos were paid at once when they were processed and I think that payment term was copied from the original invoice, which made their due date far in future.

  • DUE DATE FOR CREDIT MEMO

    Hello,
I have a question about credit memo -due date.
Using MIR7, MIRO for credit memo  the due date for net payment is the same with baseline date.
    e.g. document date:18/07/2007
    posting date:18/07/2007
baseline date:18/07/2007                         terms of payment are 30 days
the system issue due date : 18/07/2007 but correct is 18/08/2007
What can I do to calculate due date correct for credit memo ? (baseline date + terms of payment) ?
    Thanks.

    Hello
Check the settings in "Terms of Payment"
Check what you have checked in "base line date calculation', I think you need to enter 1 in the box additional months.
Next in the default date setting, check if you ticked "posting date "

  • Credit note on price changes

    Hi,
My customer would like to raise a credit note due to price changes on the item. Currently once we raise a credit note, the quantity is also returned to stock. Service type cannot be used as they would like to track the gross margin of each item. Thanks

    Hi Jenny,
Based on the note 539982, the only one is to use service, here is the note :
Issue a credit note without returning items to warehouse
    Symptom
How can I issue a credit note for a customer regarding a certain item invoice without returning the stock items back to the warehouse?
    i.e : a discount for a customer concerning a specific invoice
    Other terms
credit note, invoice, return, warehouse, service, discount
    Reason and Prerequisites
    No error. Need of information
    Solution
You should generate a Service type credit note. Do not copy the invoice
to the credit note. This will cause a reverse stock transaction and
will close the invoice. To solve this problem, please perform the
    following steps:
       1. Go to AR/Sales in the command center.
       2. Click on "credit" note and select "service" on the top left of your window.
       3. Select the customer you want to issue a credit note for.
       4. In the column "description" type in the item invoice number.
       5. Select account code and price.
       6. Add credit note to the system by pressing the add button.

  • Credit memo net due date is not correct

    Hi experts,
In most cases the net due date of customers credit memos (posting key 11) is correct based on payment terms but sometimes itu2019s not (e.g. payment terms 30 days end of month but net due date is the same as document date).
    Any ideas why?
I checked payment terms in customer master data and in FI and they are the same.
    Thanks for your help,
    Ben

The general rule is that the due date of a credit memo is the baseline date.
There are 2 exceptions: if you put the number of an invoice in the field BSEG-REBZG (Number of the Invoice the Transaction Belongs to), the due date of the credit memo is the due date of the invoice.
2nd exception: if you put the constant 'V' in this field REBZG (you can do it thru a substitution rule), the due date will be calculated the same way as for an invoice.
You can see this in the documentation of the data element REBZG:
A special rule applies to credit memos which have a "V" in this field.
The due date is determined in the same way as for an invoice. If the field is empty (containing neither a document number nor a "V") the due date is the baseline date for payment.

  • The Credit Memo & Original Invoice do not have the same net due date.

The issue is that for returns of goods from the customer, the credit memo that gets created does not have the same net due date as the original invoice.  To accomplish this, in the credit memo, the indicator "V" must be entered in the credit memo field BSEG-REBZG "Invoice Ref".  This will make the credit memo due based on the payment terms. In the OSS message 50388, SAP identifies a user exit in SDVFX008 which will fill field BSEG-REBZG with the value "V".  Doing this should automatically make the credit memo for returns due the same date as the original invoice.SAP says to do the following:
The function module called by SDVFX008 is EXIT_SAPLV60B_008
Make the ABAP coding in include program ZXVVFU08.
    Populate field ACCIT-REBZG with "V"
Despite doing this , we couldnt get the same net due date as the credit memo & Original invoice.
Can anyone help? POINTS WILL BE GIVEN.
    Thanks
    Anita

    Hi Anitha,
Does the value 'V' gets paopulated?.
I mean to ask whether the program goes into the user exit logic?.
    Please let me know.
    Thank you.

  • Net Due Date differences in Credit Note

    Hi FI Gurus,
I have pass an entry for returns Credit Note based on return order u2013 This Credit Note was created on 11/05/08 with Payment Term (T60B) 60 days from B/L date so the due date should 60 days from the B/L date means the net due date should be 10/07/08.
But in my case system is showing the same due date as the document date means the document date is 11/05/08 and the net due date is also the same 11/05/08 in FBL5N customer line item report.
Kindly can any body help me why system is behaving like this, while only passing the CN entry system is showing the same due date as doc date, for the normal customer invoice for same payment term (T60B) is calculating accurately 60 days from the baseline date.
    Thanks and Regards,
    Yasir

Credit memos are of 2 types
    Other Credit Memos.
Terms of payment in other credit memos are invalid. These credit memos
are due on the baseline date. To activate the terms of payment in these
non-invoice-related credit memos, enter a “V” in the invoice reference field
    during document entry.
    Invoice related credit memos:
Credit memos can be linked to the original invoice by entering the invoice
number in the invoice reference field during document entry. In this case,
the terms of payment are copied from the invoice so that the invoice and the
credit memo are due on the same date.
If you look at the second option you need to give the Invoice referevce to default the terms from Invoice or use "V" in the reference feild.
Hope you have understood the concept.

  • Mismatch in net due dates in credit note output and FBL5N

    Hi SAP gurus,
In my case, there is a credit note with 30 days payment terms and it is without reference to an invoice. The net due date on output is 30-10- 2010, while in FBL5N, it is 30-09- 2010. As per the analysis, it is right as in case of without ref. to invoice, the baseline date will act as net due date.
Now the user, wants to have the same due date at both the places( FBL5N and invoice output) irrespective of standard settings, I came to know that it is possible through some change in output type.
If so, kindly suggest me the logic as how to fetch the date appearing on FBL5N on invoice output. Need is to take the FBL5's date as input to be printed on output.
thanks a lot in advance for the inputs.

  • Letter of Credit in Payment Due Date Calculation

    Dear All,
I meet a case as following:
Sales Order A with 80% Letter of Credit
(L/C) payment (set in header condition) and 20% downpayment, with Payment Terms: L/C payment due
date is before a special date.
Question 1: If downpayment has cleared, whether user can see that a
record of downpayment paid in a Sales Order under SAP standard design?
Question 2: whether SAP standard desgin/configuration can set L/C
payment due date by a payment term? note: L/C is flexible depends on
    different Sales Order?
    Thanks for all your helps!

Did you find a solution to this?
Is it possible to separate down-payment from rest of sales order - so Letter of Credit is only for the sales value minus down- payment?
    SO value 1 Mio USD
    Down-payment .2 Mio USD
LOC value >> .8 Mio USD?
    Cheers

  • Tracking of due dates in case of letter of credit and bank guarantee

    Hi
In case of letter of credit and bank guarantee can a track be kept in sap for bill negotiated and due (means the vendor has claimed payment but payment from us to our bank is not due) ,
negotiated and due(means our payment is due)
and bills negotiated and overdue (means payment from our side to our bank is overdue)
how is it possible plz explain in detail as i have never worked ob LC and BG.
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi
Thanks for the answer I will try to explain my requirement .
In case of import and exports Letter of credit and bank guarantee are opened with the bank. There can be amendments also after its creation in terms , amount or validity period. Then it is negotiated and retired.
An example : A letter of credit is opened on 1st Jan. The goods are shipped on 7th Jan .Credit term given by our bank (in case of import) is 1 month which is counted from the shipment date and it expires on 7th feb. The vendor negotiates the bill on 15th jan.
The requirement is to get a report of u2018negotiated and dueu2019 and u2018negotiated and overdueu2019category.
Like from 15th Jan to 7th Feb the bill negotiated by the vendor comes under u2018negotiated and dueu2019 category and after that it comes under u2018negotiated and overdueu2019category.
List of letter of credits established , negotiated , retired and balance if any.
Letter of credit wise u2013 Bank charges paid. i.e at the time of opening , amendment , negotiation and retirement.
Same in case of bank guarantee also.
Plz explain me how can this be tracked and how to configure this.

  • Change due date in receivables for credit check

    Hi Sappers!!
Scenario: When SAP performs a credit check for a customer we need that pending receivables
(open items) for this customer which have a concrete payment method, don't use due date
for calculation, instead we want to use invoice date for carrying out the credit check
    calculation.
Is that posible? Is there any user-exit where we can change this date to be used during
credit check control for documents which fulfill this requirement?
We don't want to change permanently the due date for this kind of documents, we only need to take another date into account when performing credit control.
Thanks so much in advance & best regards

Thanks so much for your quickly answer.
Creating a new payment term is not a valid solution because, we don't want to change any date in the financial document. We just only need to use another data only for credit check. Here you have a concrete example:
Invoice created with invoice date 01/12/2009
    Payment method confirming 90 days.
    Base line calculated: 01/03/2010
If we create a new sales order, this open item will not be considered exceeded because due date is still in the future.
We want to consider it as exceeded and the due date would be 01/12/2009 but only for credit check. This "new" due date must not be stored anywhere.
Thanks so much once again & best regards
