Credit Note Issue.

HI All Request your inputs to resolve this issue,
The credit note that we generate now in the system is not reflecting the older invoice details rather it comes up with the edited details.
Its a custom table and we have tried to use Deletion indicators in the table to get to the solution.
IF there is any other way kindly suggest.
Eg,
Item 1 , 2 & 3 are billed and later we correct it as Item 1 , 2 & 4 . The credit note reflects 1,2 & 4 now.
We need the credit note to reflect as Item 1 , 2 & 3.
Regards\Deepak

Hi Deepak
Welcome to SDN Forum
As it is a custom table, check the logic written by the ABAP how billing documents are getting updated in the table

  • Credit Note issue against AR Down payment

    Hi,
The business process is down payment and milestone billing. We have raised the FAZ for the down payment for 100 EUR and we have recieved the payment from customer and posted the same in F-29.
    1. We have to raise the credit memo against the down payment ( We need to cancel the cleared down payment). When issuing credit note against the credit memo, the following message appears:
No account is specified in item 0000001001
    Message no. F5670
    Diagnosis
No account was specified for account type "S" in item "0000001001" of the FI/CO document.
    System Response
The Financial Accounting program cannot process the document.
    Procedure
A system error has probably occurred in the application you called up. Check the data transferred to item "0000001001" of the FI/CO document.
    2. If we try to create the final invoice then the down payment recieved line item also will be flown. And if try to issue the credit note agaisnt the Billing document also the same issue.
Normally the Down payment is noted item and we are doing manual posting of incoming payment in FI. And the same we are clearing. And we need to issue the Credit note. And there is no account determination for the down payment line item.
    Please advise.
    Thanks

    Hi ,
We have done the document reverse and reset in FBRA.or normal item cancel in FB08.
Business want to issue Debit Note with reference to the Down payment invoice(FAZ). While doing the same I am facing the account determination issue, as the down payment is with only noted item.
Hope my issue is understood correctly.
Debit Note issue with reference to Down payment line item
Case 1: Business has created only Down payment request and received down payment incoming payment against FAZ. Further milestone related billing is not yet done.
Step 1. Create Order with down payment and billing plan
Step 2. Create Invoice with FAZ
Accounting entries: only one line item with noted item A down payment request.
      Step 3. Post incoming payment
      F-29 done
Step 4. Reversal of Incoming payment
      F-39 Clear down payments or
Down payment document reverse and reset in FBRA.
    or FB08.
Step 5. Issue debit memo (DR)against the FAZ
Create Debit memo request and debit memo
    Error: Document XXXXXXX saved (no
    accounting document generated)
    Message no. VF050
When tried to release the document to accounting, the following error.
No account is specified in item 0000001001
    Message no. F5670
    Diagnosis
No account was specified for account type
"S" in item "0000001001" of the FI/CO document.
    System Response
    The Financial Accounting program cannot
    process the document.
    Procedure
A system error has probably occurred in
the application you called up. Check the data transferred to item
    "0000001001" of the FI/CO document.
There is no account determination for the Down
payment line item(as it was noted item and the payment is entered in FI ).
Can this be over come by issuing the Debit note from FI with reference to Down payment Invoice FAZ ?.
Case 2: Business has created Down payment request and received down payment incoming payment against FAZ .Mile stone related billing is also done which will have Milestone billing line item  and Down payment line item.
    Step 1.  Create Sales order
Step 2. Create Down payment request
    Step 3. Post incoming payment
      F-29 done
Step 4. Create the next mile stone related billing.
Invoice XXXXXXXX with Down payment cleared line item and invoicing line item
Step 5. Raise debit note with reference to Milestone relating line items
Only line item with invoicing line needs to be selected while raising Debit memo request:
    Step 6. Create billing document
Note:  For the down payment line item, we need to follow the process of Case 1(Can this be over come by issuing the Debit note from FI with reference to Down payment Invoice FAZ ?) by issuing FI Debit note.
    Thanks

  • Debit Note/Credit Note Issue help!

    Dear all Gurus,
I am a bit confused with the last few steps of the return to vendor process.
    Here is the process.
    1) Return PO is created.
    2) Delivery Order created
    3) PGI
    4) Enter Credit Memo at MIRO
Is the above process above correct?
For the last step, if vendor requires debit note printout in order to send us the credit note(credit memo).
    - How can i setup the printing of such printout?
    - Which message type should I be using?
    - What is the process in this case then?
    Thanks.
    Regards,
    Zhulk

    hi!
You have to go for message determination process for the suitable document type ( for ex.RE ) of LIV. Check it out in OLMR > Message determination process. Maintain condition records in MRM1.
    Reward if useful.

  • Credit Note in SAP Business One

    Hi All,
We want to reimburse some of the customer promotional expenditure ( e.g. trade scheme operated in the market, distribution expenditure undertaken, display given etc ) in form of credit or we want make credit entry for the same reason to the customer  which should be adjusted with subsequent sales in future.
But we could not find above facility in SAP Business One.
You are aware that the credit note issuing is a regular process adopted by all companies and is quite common in FMCG business. We want that each and every single credit note has to be documented in the system and reconciled against each party's claims .
Please help us with a proper solution  for the  process of system generated Credit Note as that will help us a lot.
    Regards
    Arindam

    Hi Arindam,
To access the credit note module window from the SAP Business One Main Menu, choose Sales u2013 A/R  A/R Credit Memo. Also make sure that you have the credit note option selected in the main menu form settings. Also please check that you have the right permissions and license assigned to the user performing this function.
For legal reasons, you cannot change or delete a delivery or invoice that you enter in SAP Business One. However, the customer might send the goods back for various reasons, or you may have made a mistake when you entered the documents.
If a sales transaction for which you record an accounting and an inventory posting has been completely or partially reversed, you must enter a corresponding sales document to clear it. This document reverses the changes in terms of stock quantities and monetary values.
The credit memo is the clearing document for the invoice and for the returns. If the goods were delivered to the customer and an invoice has already been created, you can partially or completely reverse the transaction by creating a credit memo. With the credit memo y
ou correct both the quantities and the monetary values. The system increases the stock of the credited items by the amount specified in the credit memo. The credit memo credits the value in the customer account in the Accounting system and amends the revenue account by the same amount. The system corrects the tax amounts automatically.
SAP Business One enables you to create an A/R credit memo with a zero amount. You can do this when you clear A/R invoices for items delivered without a charge, for example, for items that are part of a promotion or covered by a service contract.
    Hope this helps.
    Kind regards,
    Matt

  • Credit Note to be adjusted against sales order value

    Hi Experts,
    The scenario is as follows:
    a. Customer is having credit note(balance) in SAP CRM
    b. In subsequent order the credit note value to be adjusted against the order value
    c. Customer is advance payment only
    d. The sales order value to be calculated after deducting the credit note for order for payment

    Hi Mukesh,
I think you want to adjust the value of the sales order based on the credit note issued to the customer or advance payment. The credit note will result in a AR posting and hence should not be used for adjusting the sale order value. That adjustment will happen in AR anyway.
The advance payment can be stored in a condition of the sales order and can be used for adjusting the sales order value basically to reduce the AR. You will have to manipulations in pricing to get the right AR, Revenue and Advance payment postings.
Let me know if you want more details as I am not 100% clear about your issue.
    Thanks

  • Issue in creating Credit Note for road carrier invoice from SAP TM system

    Dear All,
I am facing issue in creating Credit Note for road carrier invoice from SAP TM system.
The following steps I have performed:
    1)
    1)    1) Create Freight order with Amount 20,100
    2)     2) Create Freight Settlement Doc and send it to ECC. Hence PO and SES will be created in ECC with Amount 20,100
    3)     3) Invoice verification (MIRO) done w.r.t. FO in ECC with Amount 20,100 and following entries posted :
    Carrier A/c - 20,100Cr
    GR/IR A/c – 20,100 Dr
    4)    4) Created Credit Note in SAP TM against freight order with Amount 1,010 and transfer it to SAP ECC.
    5)    5)  By this a new PO and SES was created with negative values (with amount 1,010) in SAP ECC
    6)    6)  In transaction MIRO, Credit Memo was created against the freight order.
    7)    7)  By this it is showing value 21,110 by adding the line items of Original Purchase Order and Credit Note Purchase Order as 20,100 and 1,010 respectively.
    8)    8)  By posting this following are the accounting entries which is not correct:
    Carrier A/c – 21,110 Dr
    GR/IR – 20,100 Cr
    GR/IR – 1,010 Cr
    9)    9)  In report FBL1N which is showing the remaining liability of value 1,010(21,100 – 20,100) instead of 19,090 (20,100-1,010=19,090) for the carrier.
Please suggest how to resolve the issue and get the correct accounting for credit memo?
    Regards,
    Vibhu Gupta

    Hello,
Like my reply in Linkedin group, I got the same issue and solved with BADI in TM side(REQREQ...).

  • Credit note should be issued to newly created customer

    Hello Gurus,
    I need to issue a rebate credit note for  2013 – Jan-Aug   1200746,44 INR
Agreement 70 was created for customer 4000240- Royal plastic (Royal group) this customer was sold to Melton group as per 01.09.2013 – new account 4000488 with new name as Melton plastic was created.
The old account 4000240 has been marked for deletion.
Now I need to create a credit note for the customer, but it has to be issued to new customer account 4000488.
Now client wants to make sure that the credit note will be booked in a way that the credit amount it related to rebates and not revenues.
Can you please advise how to handle this ?
    Regards
    Soumendu

    HI,
you can achive this by assigning customer account to different credit risc class in credit master data.
The risc class triggers system behaviour/response for credit risc management (what is checked during credit management process, what happens if the check is fullfilled,...).
    Best regards, Christian

  • Wrong taxes while issueing credit note to customer

    Hi,
We are using FB75 to create credit note to customer as we charged excess amount in original service tax bill through oversight.
    Invoice details are as below.
    Basic Cost              1,75,000.00
    Service tax 10.3% -  18,025.00
    Total                        1,93.025.00
But in credit note service tax is calculated at 16% even though we are using same tax code as per original invoice.
    Kindly help.
    With Best Regards,
    Rajkumar

    Dear Rajkumr,
This may be caused due to configuration change after the original invoice and before the credit note posting. Please check the configuration (specially tax rate) in FTXP transaction.
    Thanks!!!

  • Free goods in lieu of Rebate Credit Note

    Hi Gurus,
Can we have the option of Free Goods Settlement instead of Rebate Credit Note at the time of Rebate Settlement.
    Your reply is highly appreciated.
    Sadanandam Kasarla

    Hi Sadanandam kasarla
Generally if you want to  issue free goods then you need to create a sales order and you have to deliver the stock from the storage location also. The inventory level will come down
But if you are doing the rebate settlement. then you will be using a Dummy material to create the sales order and then  you will be doing billing . Finally only the rebate value will be settled to the customer .

  • Credit Note in case of return scenario

    Hi,
In case of return scenario, credit note is issued with reference to return order or return delivery?
I am unable to see the copy control setting in IDES for RE(Return Order) to G2(Credit Memo).
Could any one please let me know the setting for the same (Header and item).
    Regards
    Suman

    Hi Suman,
As for the standard in the IDES,the Credit memo will be created with reference to the Creditmemeo request because of that RE to G2 copy control setting may not avail.
You copy the settings same as Creditmemo request(CR) to Credit memo (G2), You just change the name CR in to RE it will work.
-->Other wise you can use Credit for returns RE document type to create credit memo for return order RE for this copy control avail in the IDES t.code VTFA.
I hope it will help you
    Regards,
    Murali.

  • Behaviour of letter of credit through credit note.

Sales order has been created against L/C and finally invoiced, Credit note passed for price correction subsequently, Same L/c also got attached to creit note but there is no impact on L/c value. Is this normal behaviour or any customization missing.

    Dear Amit
I had a small doubt on your question and hence tested for the same by creating an export sale order and completed with issuing credit note for partial quantity.  On checking in VX12N, it has been observed that the Open Value has not changed

  • Single Credit Note for Multiple Invoices

    Hi,
For multiple invoice of a specific customer only one credit note to be issued.
    Pls guide.
    Regards
    Vijay.

Create credit memo request with reference to first invoice (the pop-up screen will take only one).
Once all the items are copied to the credit memo request use menu path Sales document -> create with Reference , enter the second reference invoice. This will copy all the line items in the second invoice.
Repeat the second step to copy all the invoices of the customer to the credit memo request.
Do invoicing to generate a single credit memo. The credit memo request may split at the time of invoicing (some times) but you can prevent it.

  • R12 Payment Process Request only picking up 1 Credit Note per supplier

I am using R12 v 12.1 and have found an issue when I create a Payment Process Request that includes multiple credit notes for a supplier. When I create the batch only 1 credit note is selected. When I attempt to manuallly add another credit note it adds it to the batch however when I confirm the payment batch only 1 credit note is applied The nett amount for the supplier is still positive so I am unable to determine why this issue is occuring. Can anyone tell me if there is a setting to allow multiple credit notes within a payment process batch for a supplier?
I have found something but am not sure if this is the solution. Under the 'Process Automation' tab when I create a PPR template I have noticed an option called 'Maximize Credits'. If this check box is selected will it allow multiple credit notes for 1 supplier to be added to a payment batch or is this option used for something different?
Can someone please help with my issue.
    Thanks

    Yes, you are correct.
You have to select the option "Maximize Credits" that will select all the available credit notes for the supplier while processing the PPR.
    Thanks

  • ENPA  - Intrastat export reporting of credit notes

    Hi experts,
I would like to ask where to check the configuration of this report.  I encountered a problem here wherein the export reporting of our credit notes are reported as sales.  I think the credit notes should be reported with a negative sign and not as a positive one.  Please kindly help clarify on this matter.
I am sorry in advance as I wasn't able to find any existing thread suitable to answer my inquiry that's why I raised an another thread.  Thanks in advance for your responses.
