CRM 5.0 Cannot set freight value for B2C

Background: We are implementing a ConnectShip solution completely within the J2EE enviornment (not in CRM directly) which makes the call to ConnectShip and returns values. I have hijacked the strut and am setting purchase order and other header fields, but am unable to use setFreightValue. In debug, the header gets the value, but when we get to the page render, the value always returns zero.
Any suggestions?

Could you be a little bit more precise in what you are doing?
What technologies are you using?
May be some code would be interesting?
We have attempted many solutions - typically, one would assume that if you set a header value in a JSP or JAVA (for example, header.setFreightValue("1000")), that this value would be picked up at order save. This is not the case.
When we use this header.setFreightValue("1000") directly within checkout.inc.jsp, the value gets read in confirm.inc.jsp -- this at least shows that the value is being set to the header, however, that is as far as things go. At order save the value returned is zero.

Discussion of a similar problem occured on this forum in June 2010. At that time, the resolution seemed to be to upgrade to 9.0.3. Has anyone else encountered this problem with these versions?

Getting a wierd issue with "Cannot set up certs for trusted CAs" This works if we are using anything less then 1.4.2_07, but the minute we install 1.4.2_07 or 13 as the case may be we get the following Exception:

I added that late just in case, for some strange reason, the provider wasn't getting picked up.

How to set default values for boolean columns

I'm trying to deploy some content types and columns into a site with a feature. All it's ok, except that I'm trying to set a default value for boolean columns with no success.
I've tried to set default value at column level:

Cannot determine a value for an exit variable in the Formula fn w/p empty

Hi All,
We have an exit variable Z_EX_AR_VAR, the would read a hierarchy node input variable (Z_HN_AREA), which is furthur based on a hierarchy input variable (Z_HR_AREA), and wouuld return the first leaf of it.
We have implemented a input ready query based on this exit variable and it is getting the first node and is input ready and saves the data to the database.
It works well in the query when we have filtered the characteristic with the hier and hier node and the exit variables.
We need to use the same value to be used in the Fox function.
As per the requirement, the Fox function has to process the zero (empty) records.
So, we have customized formula function to process emptry records.
And in the function of type formula function that processes empty records, we have used the following statement.
DATA AR type ZAREA.
AR = VARI ( Z_HN_AREA, HIENM=Z_HR_AREA, 1).
We are getting the following error message:
Cannot determine a value for the variable Z_HN_AREA.
Planning function ended with errors.
What is that we are doing wrong here. Is it with the 'Process Empty Records' function that cannot read the variable.
How come this variable is working in the query and it is not working in the FOX.
We have done the variable to variable binding in the WAD also. Still the same problem.

Hi All,
Michael Wolf from SAP confirmed that we cannot use VARiable read functions in the customized Formula function that processes the zero (empty records) as he spoke to SAP AG about the issue.
Hence we have made a work around by creating a valid record using a dummy key figure in the Custom Formula function that processes empty records so that in the next step, the regular Formula function would get executed, where we could access the variable values by using VARV, VARI functions.

Extending flash: how do I set default values for filenames

I am trying to set default values for filenames
<choosefile> and <popupslider>s that will show up when
my XMLpanel first loads in my jsfl extension file. It seems that I
can only set default values for textbox items.
How do I do this for filenames and popups?
As a workaround, I also tried using a flash object dialog box
to look like a <choosefile>, or any jsfl command, but then
how do I return those values back to the XMLpanel that calls them.
and pass the data back to my jsfl script.

Create two constants for the Allocate Mode input (right click > create > constant). Place one in the true case of the case structure, and place the other one in the false case. Wire them to the same tunnel (border of the case structure), then wire the tunnel to the Allocate Mode terminal of the AO Config. I don't have Traditional DAQ installed, but that should do it.

I am filling some variables with multiple values in user exit.
Now, i would like to place some of these characteritics in Header area. It's of course impossible because there is multiple values but ...
I will put dropdown box in the web application for these chars. The problem is that by default, any value is assigned to the dropdwom ( any variable value is set).
Do you know how i can set a value for theses variable after filling all values by the user exit. SO that only one value is selected for the header and all others values available in the dropdown ?

Off late, this seems to be a usual requirement.
Just create a Z program to call the FM API_SEMBPS_VARIABLE_SET and then call the FM API_SEMBPS_POST.
you should be preparing the content/set value to pass to the FMs. check the whereused list to see how this FMs can be used/called.
finally, run this program for your variable, after the loading/filling the exit variable. Please note that to set 'exit' variables, the sourcing variable's content need to be read/set first before setting the exit varible.

I have succeeded in downloading/installing the JCE component and writing a small java program that ecrypts and decrypts text.
Now that I've tried to integrate this code into a web application, I'm getting the following exception message:
java.lang.ExceptionInInitializerError: java.lang.SecurityException: Cannot set up certs for trusted CAs: java.lang.SecurityException: Cannot locate policy and/or framework files for signer restraint check!
     at javax.crypto.SunJCE_b.<clinit>(DashoA6275)
     at javax.crypto.Cipher.a(DashoA6275)
     at javax.crypto.Cipher.getInstance(DashoA6275)
I've copied the four JAR files into the web-inf/lib directory. I believe that I need to make changes to the appropriate policy file (which I assume is the catalina.policy file under the tomcat/conf folder) but this doesn't seem to make any difference.
Can anybody help??

the JDK alone?Sun's JCE 1.2.2 and their JCE Provider doing a cross checking of the classes and their signatures. In JDK 1.4 that cross validation were removed, but JCE framework still checking the signature of the provider.
You may also need to check which JRE you are using. On windows you have two of them by default: the one within JDK installation and the another one within "Programm Files". The last one is used by default if you didn't specify the path for java command.
I've been using BouncyCastle JCE and their provider for a while. It works just fine in web-inf\lib directory under the JRE 1.3.1. They also have the signed jar for J2SE 1.4 that does not includes JCE framework.
Note that you have to register your provider dynamically if you going to use it in the web application. You also have to make sure that your web app has enough rights for that (check the security properties if you are using security).
BTW, which app container are you using?

Full freight value for the partial GR

Dear All,
I want to post full freight value for the Partial GR quantity. How do I do it? Freight condition is quantity based.
For example, if I have 100 Ea in the PO and I receive only 95 and GR only 95 Ea. But, I want to post the full frieght value.

The application iam working on encrypts & decrypts files. The application is deployed on a standalone OC4j container on solaris 5.8. I have downloaded the following jar files

and have declared them in the application.xml

Hi,
I got the solution for this. JCE 1.2.2 is supported on JDK 1.4.1 and JDK 1.4.2, but both of them have different unrestricted policy jars. I was able to solve the problem once I downloaded the unrestricted policy jars for JDK 1.4.2 (which is used by BEA 8.1 SP5) from the following URL : http://java.sun.com/j2se/1.4.2/download.html

Situation:
1. I have 2 parameter fields in reports (dateFrom and dateTo)
2. Before running report in ASP.NET I change value this fields (dateTo = today, dateFrom = today - 3 days)
3.I use for this source:

I believe you need to create your own parameter promt screen. Capture what the user entered and pass that to the report(?).

Set default Value for a key figure

Hi Experts,
I need to enter a set o value for some char in a layout but for this set is not relevance a keyfigure. I know that there needs to be a keyfigure in the layout for the data to be saved to the transactional cube.
So is there a way to write a default value to the keyfigure without the user having to enter the keyfigure in the layout?
