CRM 5.0 to CRM 6.0 (2007) - Media Information

Hello!
I am working on upgrading our current CRM 5.0 systems to CRM 6.0 (2007) version and have used the Media List SAP CRM 2007mentioned in https://websmp205.sap-ag.de/~form/sapnet?_SHORTKEY=01100035870000704565& to download the software.  I have gone through the below mentioned docs and could not find the SP level that is delivered in upgrade media.
Can you please point me to the correct resource/doc/SMP. Your help will be greatly appreciated.
1.) Upgrade Master Guide SAP Customer Relationship Management 2007
2.) Upgrade Guide SAP CRM 2007 ABAP
3.) Upgrade Guide SAP CRM 2007 JAVA
4.) Migration to SAP CRM 2007 Version 2.0 Release 602
6.) Notes Mentioned in the above documents
Thanks in advance.

I was able to find the SP levels delivered in the Medial from a note from -
SAP Note 837413 - Support Package levels for CRM installations/upgrades
Thanks

  • Integrating CRM fields into a media document

Can anyone direct me to information on integrating specific CRM fields into a media document? I have a marketing subscription website and am trying to implement a simple 'web to print' function for specific marketing materials for my subscribers. I've created the additional fields in the CRM database for photos, etc; however am trying to figure out the best approach for the end result which is inserting their personalized information into the form for printing.
I have access to Adobe CC so if there is a recommended software to create the marketing template that will interface with the CRM database in BC??
Any suggestions are appreciated - thank you.
    Jody

Like a mail merge? basically you would be sending out many PDF's with different information per PDF? BC not out of the box, you are going to have to use a HTML to PDF service, there are several out there but they are costly, which is why I didn't use them and did my own. I did something like this for a client where they wanted downloadable PDF's with an admin tool that made the PDF's dynamically. Drop me a private message if you want to know more.
There are also pure javascript to PDF conversation but I found nearly all of them didn't render the PDF's correctly unless the page was really really simple (ie. using no CSS)

    Hi Jeroen,
Thank you so much for willing to help.
But if the document you are distributing is downloaded from service.sap.com
I have to say that it is not a proper way to distribute it via email.
You may simply provide the link to us then we will be able to download them.
    The URL should be
    service.sap.com/crm-inst
under which various documents can be found based on different CRM version.
And I am also unassign the points assigned to you. Sorry for this!
    Hope these could do help!

  • CRM and Outlook 2007

We have a group of people that run CRM as a add in to Outlook. Only a few of them have reported that CRM has quit working. So I right away looked for events in CSA, no events show up. Just for the sake of trying I put the host into test mode and disabled CSA on the host had the users try CRM again no luck. So that tells me that it is not CSA causing the issue…. The user then contacts their vendor and Microsoft and they come to the conclusion that it is CSA. To prove to them that it is not I uninstalled CSA off the host and had them try again and CRM functioned properly. : ( boy did I feel like an idiot.
I made sure that the host is getting policy it says it is but is there a sure fire way to tell other than the general host screen? I also have compared a working CRM host and a CSA blocked host and I can't find anything different about them. They are in the same groups, same version, same policies, I even compared the rules. I'm getting desperate...I did my best to compare the Windows updates. I have reinstalled CSA on the host that I uninstalled it from and it still doesn't work.
Any ideas? Or is there another direction I should head?
    Thanks in advance

Not sure you've seen this but take a look at the CRM instalation guide for more info:

  • CRM list of queues registration information

    Hi,
I am new to CRM and have some questions regarding BDocs and queues in CRM,
    1. We found some queues starting with CSA* in inbound getting stuck for long. Found the reason to be that since these queues are not registered, they are not processed. Do these BDocs really need to be processed? 2. If yes then what all queue names are to be registered in CRM. What each of these inbound queues does?
    3. If not needed, then how can we delete these queues?
    4. Any step - by step document for registering Queues or on BDocs?
Point to note is data is transfered from CRM to BW.
    Appreciate your help...
    Regards,
    Madhav

    > As I said: As long as the CSA queues exist, there will still be BDocs in the MW in an intermediate / yellow state, as the CSA queues are used for internal asynchronous storing of BDocs during processing. If you delete the queues, you will need to delete the BDocs also, and eventually get data inconsistencies depending on where you distribute your data. If you are deleting them, your MW will get stuck with hanging BDocs which is not an alternative.

We also have the same problem. The CSA* queues are not registered in SMQR. We have queues dating back to May of 2008. Will it be safe to delete them? Or should we still process these queues? We have 51,000++ messages on the inbound queue right now. Any help on this will be very much appreciated. Thanks!

  • CRM Middleware Monitoring: Adapter Status Information. Waiting Objects

    Hello
I am having a problem sending messages of type RSREQUST from CRM to BW
I have been seeing in the SMWP transaction that we have waiting objects in Request Status of Adapter Status Information.
I dont know how I can start it or solve this error
    Thanks in advanced
    Best regards

    Hi,
It seems that the maximum number of parallel processing threads(usually 5) have been set in ur system which is why the objects are in status WAIT. Status WAIT is not an error. To correct, would you check the transaction R3Ar3 for all requests tht are in running status. If you have 5 requests here, abort one or two out of them. Then go to SMQ2 and select the queue tht is in status WAIT. Unlock the queue immediately. It should change to status "READY" and should flow across to BW.
Reward points if it helps !!

  • CRM Best Practices V1.2007 with ERP HR Integration, C01 and C05

    Hi,
working on Best Practices CRM V.1.2007 I  now should proceed with Building Block C01 (CRM Organizational Model).
I want to use the CRM System integrated with a new installed ERP System and HR Integration.
Therefore I have to use the Building Block C05 (CRM Organizational Model with HR Integration) instead of C01 (CRM Orgnizational Model)
My Question: Is it allowed to proceed with C05 by doing the work direct from the SAP GUI Menu; afterwards I could confirm the steps in the Solution Builder for C01?
    Regards, Andreas

    Hi Andreas,
Yes, you could do that. But be aware that the other building blocks for master and transaction data replication should not be started unless you are done with the org model BB C01.

Becoz some of the functionalities like UI migration can not be done automatically hence  Web Client UI need to be configured manually ,also as there is lot of difference between CRM 2007/7.0 and lot of new functionalites are added in the new version It might require huge amout of functional enhancement efforts are required during of updgrade to CRM 7.0/2007 .

    Rahul,
The functional differences between CRM 50 and CRM 2007 have been discussed in this forum several times, please do a search.  In addition the information you are seeking is covered in the release notes for CRM 7.0 which are located here:
    https://service.sap.com/~sapdownload/011000358700001910282008E/RN_CRM_70_01_EN.pdf
    Or under
    http://service.sap.com/releasenotes
SAP Solutions->SAP CRM-> Release Notes SAP CRM 7.0.
It is a several hundred page document with all the details you need.
If you have a more specific question please post it after doing a search here.  I'm going to lock this thread due to the vague nature of your question.

  • Upgrade of CRM5.0 TO CRM 2007

    Hi
Edited by: venki maha on Dec 17, 2008 9:30 AM
This is not valid anymore. So I want to delete this.

    Hi,
we upgraded from CRM 6.0 (2007) to 7.0 and have massinve issues.
Custom fields do not show anymore
Dumps in the org-modell as well as creating opportunities in WebUI
IPC integration does no longer work.
We are only using a smaller portion of the sales part within CRM and response from SAP to these issues is quite slow.
