    Please suggest the sample questions for CRM OD implementation specialist (1Z0-527) certification.

    It seems to me that 1Z0-052 (DBA OCA) was largely based on the 2-day DBA Book already. I fail to see the point of this new path in that case, despite being an OPN-only title (or is it not?).I believe the 2-day DBA exam is based on the equivalent OU course, as for that matter is 1z0-042.
    I think there is equivalent documents are there o match.
    I believe (possibly wrong), the 2-day dba course concentrates on the basics how-to create and manage a database.
    The 1z0-052 (OCA) will also expect more understanding of concepts and basic depth, and in fact some important areas are not really covered until OCP is completed.
    The 2 day DBA exam has been around for some time in 10g .... 1z0-041, though perhaps has not been used heavily as no certification has been based on it. (The exam page for 1z0-041 currently mentions the OPN specialist as an associated certification, whereas [http://education.oracle.com/pls/web_prod-plq-dad/db_pages.getpage?page_id=143] does not. OCA also requires an SQL exam.

  • CRM BW Implementation - Very Very Urgent

    Hi Guru's,
    CRM is one of the area for BI Implementation in our project and I have been asked to handle this.
    This is the forst time that I am dealing with CRM, prior to this, I have no idea about CRM.
    Is the Data Modelling part, extraction, Reporting same as all other modules or is it totally different???
    And do we need to make any specific settings for this implementation???
    And what are the points on which we need to concentrate while implementing CRM in BW.
    Please guide me in this regard as I am pretty new to this.
    Thanks & Regards.

  • CRM 2007 implementation in multiple languages

    Hi,
    We would like to implement SAP CRM 2007 Web UI and Interaction Center in multiple Asian languages like Chinese (Mandarin), Korean and Japenese.
    Is there a standard approach or documentation in this regard?
    How will Master data get translated?
    Is it necessary to maintain customizing settings descriptions in each of these languages?
    How to make UI help documentation available in these languages?
    If any of you have worked in this kind of scenario, please help.
    Helpful answers will certainly be rewarded.
    Regards,
    Paul Pandian

    You have to upgrade to Unicode if your systems are not unicode already.
    You have to maintain all the descriptions and texts in the master data multiple languages. See the note on [Unicode Conversion Guide|https://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/551344]
    If you have multi language already available in your R/3 or ECC system, then it is possible that your systems are in multiple code page.Unicode conversion from different code pages are different and you must watch for any restrictions. For example - Unicode conversion from HK Chinese using code page 8340.

  • Is CRM Middleware Expertise Required if no R/3 Is In Scope?

    Hello CRM Community,
    I'm an XI developer, and I'm trying to get a handle on exactly when CRM Middleware (& thus a Middleware Resource) is required, and when it is not.
    If a customer is implementing CRM 5.0 (with IC Web)in a landscape with non-SAP applications, would they necessarily require a Middleware consultant?
    And if so, to what extent would that requirement be reduced in comparison to an implementation which interfaces to R/3?
    Thanks in advance,
    Jimmy

    Hi,
    CRM middleware is used in CRM whether or not the system is linked to other systems (SAP or non-SAP). CRM is based on it. Eg. whenever you create or change an object in CRM, a bdoc is created which contains the data.
    The question is whether you'll need to use, influence or change the middleware in your project:
    Image having integration with R/3: then you'll need the middleware for setting up the distribution (initial/delta load) between CRM & R/3. But as long as you stick to the standard solution, this will be very easy to setup.
    Imagine having integration to other systems: then you'll need the middleware to interface to them (which can be done using idocs or XML).
    Imagine having a CRM-MSA implementation: then the middleware is used to send data to the MSA client. This means setting up the data-distribution to the clients, which can be quite complicated.
    Imagine having a stand-alone CRM system with an IC webclient and flows limited to the CRM system: then a middleware consultant won't have to much work.
    Michael.

  • Server details in crm project

    HI expers,
    I m new in crm, can any one pls explain me about server information in crm project.
    How many server usually have and how crm is implemented in real time.
    testing..developing ...stage...how move the data from diff stages..
    highly rewarded by the answer.
    [email protected]
    thanks
    hiten.

    Dear Hiten,
    Landscape is like a server system or like a layout of the servers or some may even call it the architecture of the servers viz. SAP is divided into three different lanscape DEV, QAS and PROD.
    -  DEV would have multiple clients for ex: 190- Sandbox, 100- Golden, 180- Unit Test.
    -  QAS may again have mutiple clients for ex: 300- Integration Test, 700 to 710 Training.
    -  PROD may have something like a 200 Production.
    These names and numbers are the implementer's discreet on how they want it or they have been using in their previous implementations or how is the client's business scenario.
    Development server is used for Development. Either Development/Golden Client is used for Configuration. Then all the developments and configuration data is transported Quality Server where you would test the configuration with test data. You would transport the same to Production if everything is right.
    Now whatever you do in the Sandbox doesn't affect the other servers or clients. Whenever you think you are satisfied with your configuration and you think you can use it moving forward, you RE-DO it in the golden client (remember, this is a very neat and clean client and you cannot use it for rough usage). As you re-do everything that you had thought was important and usable, you get a transport request pop up upon saving everytime. You save it under a transport request and give your description to it. Thus the configuration is transported to the Unit Test client (180 in this example).
    You don't run any transaction or even use the SAP Easy Access screen on the 100 (golden) client. This is a configuration only client. Now upon a successful tranport by the Basis guy, you have all the configuration in the Testing client, just as it is in the Golden client. The configuration remains in sync between these two clients.
    But in the Testing client you can not even access SPRO  (Display IMG) screen. It's a transaction only client where you perform the unit test. Upon a satisfactory unit test, you move the good configuration to the next SERVER (DEV). The incorrect or unsatisfactory configuration is corrected in Golden (may again as well be practised in the sandbox prior to Golden) and accordingly transported back to 180 (Unit Test) until the unit test affected by that particular config is satisfactory.
    The Golden client remains the 'database' (if you wanna call it that) or you may rather call it the 'ultimate' reference client for all the good, complete and final configuration that is being used in the implementation.
    In summary:
    Landscape : is the arrangement for the servers
    IDES : is purely for education purpose and is NOT INCLUDED in the landscape.
    DEVELOPMENT ---> QUALITY -
    > PRODUCTION
    DEVELOPMENT : is where the the consultants do the customization as per the company's requirement.
    QUALITY : is where the core team members and other members test the customization.
    PRODUCTION : is where the live data of the company is recorded.
    A request will flow from Dev->Qual->Prod and not backwards.
    1. Sandbox server: In the initial stages of any implementation project, You are given a sandbox server where you do all the configuration/customization as per the companies business process.
    2. Development Server: - Once the BBP gets signed off, the configuration is done is development server and saved in workbench requests, to be transported to Production server.
    3. Production Server: This is the last/ most refined client where the user will work after project GO LIVE. Any changes/ new develpoment is done is development client and the request is transported to production.
    These three are landscape of any Company. They organised their office in these three way. Developer develop their program in Development server and then transport it to test server. In testing server tester check/test the program and then transport it to Production Server. Later it will deploy to client from production server.
    Presentaion Server- Where SAP GUI have.
    Application Server - Where SAP Installed.
    Database Server - Where Database installed.

    Naveen.

  • Geographic Information System (GIS) functions in SAP CRM 2007

    Dear all,
    I am currently working on a SAP CRM 2007 implementation project that consists in replacing an old customer service application.
    Currently this application is managing service technicians' territories with embedded GIS functions (it relies on latitude and longitude data to assign the closest technicians to a service order).
    I would like to know if SAP CRM 2007 is covering the following:
    - GIS functions;
    - Ability to assign a technician based on this;
    - Ability to visually see the map and draw technician territory changes on it;
    - Ability to optimize technician route (mileage).
    I cannot find insights about this in the SAP Help.
    So, where can I find some details / documentation about this?
    A third party tool would be necessary and also its integration to SAP CRM?
    Thanks for your help.
    Brice.

    Brice,
    So basically I don't see this being out of the box functionality, however you could build something for this.
    1.  You need to store the geo co-ordinates for the customer on the customer master or be able to "bolt out for this".
    2.  Create a new "partner determination rule" that would make a call to the external system to propose a technician on the service order.
    3.  Have a punch out on the service order screen that links into a web like GIS application where you could visualize this and send change data back into the CRM service order.
    Now if someone else knows that CRM 2007 can do what you described out of the box, I would love to see the demo.  We have a similiar requirement, where we need to keep track of the mapping, but no need to perform the routing logic.
    Take care,
    Stephen

  • BPartner Functions in CRM

    Hi,
    I am in CRM- BI implementation.
    In business content cube we have a dimension bpartner, in that we have few Bpartner functions(info objects) like
    contact person
    emp responsible
    prospect
    now reqt is to find the other partner functions like
    sales person
    BA manager
    Cross Lead generator
    Please advise how to proceed.
    FYI
    We have maintained the business content cube and already we have 9 reports running on this cube.
    please revert if need more clarification

    HI Raj,
    you can enhance your datasource with the respective partner fields and populate them ,
    You can use the table CRMD_PARTNER inCRM to Read the information with the logic below to populate the data
    Sample Code :
       SELECT SINGLE GUID_SET INTO workarea for Set  FROM CRMD_LINK
                                        WHERE GUID_HI     = lead-GUID AND
                                              OBJTYPE_HI  = '05'                AND
                                              OBJTYPE_SET = '07'.
        IF SY-SUBRC = 0.
          SELECT SINGLE PARTNER_NO INTO workarea for partner FROM CRMD_PARTNER
                                         WHERE GUID        =  workarea for Set AND
                                               PARTNER_FCT = 'XXXXXX'  .  ' XXXXXX = respective Partner function
          wa_salesperson =  workarea for partner
        ENDIF .
    Hope this helps, let me know if you require any additional information

  • PCUI vs ITS for CRM applications

    Hi,
      Using ITS for custom reports and forms where as the standard applications were implemented using PCUI in a CRM Portal implementation is best practise?
    General CRM implementations will be having finance data in R/3.What factors need to be considered to decide custom PCUI/ITS/Webdynpro to display FI transactions in portal.
    Thanks and Regards,
    Abdul Raheem .S

    Abdul, I have the following take on this...
    1 - ITS: requirement for usage of the html gui and most likely to be discontinued by SAP in the short term.
    2 - PC-UI: Seamless integration with SAP CRM but not available for R/3. The best option to bypass this is through the usage of BSP applications.
    3 - Webdynpro: A new technology pushed by SAP but not yet integrated into SAP CRM and also still not proven technology.
    My recommendation would go to the second option since most of the current development resources have abap skills and understand the SAP framework. Hope this helps and again, is my personal opinion, Tiest.

  • Suitable Banking applications available in CRM module.

    Hi Gurus,
    Recently I am working in a CRM project implemented in a domestic bank in India. My client is already using campaign management, lead management, opportunity management and activity management successfully.
    My question is that what are the suitable applications available in CRM 7.0 EHP1 we can suggest to the bank such that those will come useful for them apart from CIC which is already in my mind. Kindly suggest me in an urgent basis.
    Regards,
    Roy.

    Hi Rocky,
    You mentioned about the following processes -
    1. Campaign Management
    2. Lead
    3. Opportunity
    4. Activity
    These functionalities are obviously available in CRM 7.0 EHP1 with extended features.  You can also think of going for SAP HANA to enhance the computation speed which ultimately will increase the performance of all the activities you do in SAP CRM.
    For the sales people you can suggest the Mobile application with the available features like Activity, Lead, Opportunity, Customer Fact Sheet etc. These functionalities are available on android, windows devices.
    Hope this will be useful
    Thanks and Regards
