CRM Middleware - client 000

Is there any reason why we need client 000 (aside from the application client) for Replication and Realignment of BP when using CRM Middleware?

415147 CRM upgrade: SMOGPP must be started in client 000
Does this note help you?

    Hi gurus;
I'm trying create a middleware to connect CRM 5.0 and R/3. In a document to Sap Best Practice "C71_BB_ConfigGuide_EN_US.doc" say that is necessary create a connection RFC between CRM client 100 and CRM client 000.
Do you think is necesary create this connection? If this connection is necesary, what's the target of this connection?
    Thanks.
    Regards Miguel.

    Hi Miguel,
It is necessary subject to if ur crm server has backend r/3. if not "no required". If it has backend r/3 then the configuration required and it will help for transfering the org manegement, bp master data, product management to ur crm system. For this connection we hv to define the rfc connection also that  it will connected and other middleware connection.
    REWARD POINTS IF IT HELPS.

  • CRM Middleware - Realign queue error: Funct. mod. "SMOH_RFCPING" not found

    Hi,
I try to set up R/3 <-> CRM replication, but I'm in troubles. First (in the SMOHQUEUE transaction in my CRM system) was my REALIGN queue in error, due to not existing RFC connection. It was using the name of not existing connection. There were other connection, which I wanted to use, but I couldn't find, where can I change the connection to use.. Does anybody know??
Nevermind, I set up the connection, which the system was using, but after this I got error:
Error during aRFC (<conn_name>:Function module "SMOH_RFCPING" not found.)
    How can I solve this??
    Thanx in advance for help!
    Peter

Peter, did you also setup the R&R related RFC's in client 000? A similar Middleware RFC Connection in client 000 is required for this to work properly. Tiest.

  • SMOEAC - CRM Middleware

    Hi guys,
I configured the CRM middleware component to replicate materials, services and config objects  but in the SMOEAC trx, on site selection, there only appears the CRM site, but not the R/3 backend site.
    Table SMOF_ERPSH shows the following:
RFC DEST    ERP RELEASE  ERPLOGSYS  SITETYPEID
    none              --                       -                       CDB
    SRP             700                    SRP                  CRM
SRP is the Destination RFC defined in SAP R/3 and also the logical system ID of our SRM 5.0 System
What went wrong? How to resolve it?
    Thanks for any help.
    Aart

    Hi Consultoresvision,
Can you pl. tell me what configuration you need to maintain for CRM middleware components.
After client copy for SRM 4.0 from Production to QA, the SMOEAC is totally erased and there is no objects. I am aware of how to create sites for R/3 and SRM after the object of "Site" is available. But here the object "Site" itself is missing.
    Any inputs would be appreciated.
    Thanks

  • Is CRM Middleware Expertise Required if no R/3 Is In Scope?

    Hello CRM Community,
I'm an XI developer, and I'm trying to get a handle on exactly when CRM Middleware (& thus a Middleware Resource) is required, and when it is not.
If a customer is implementing CRM 5.0 (with IC Web)in a landscape with non-SAP applications, would they necessarily require a Middleware consultant?
And if so, to what extent would that requirement be reduced in comparison to an implementation which interfaces to R/3?
    Thanks in advance,
    Jimmy

    Hi,
CRM middleware is used in CRM whether or not the system is linked to other systems (SAP or non-SAP). CRM is based on it. Eg. whenever you create or change an object in CRM, a bdoc is created which contains the data.
The question is whether you'll need to use, influence or change the middleware in your project:
Image having integration with R/3: then you'll need the middleware for setting up the distribution (initial/delta load) between CRM & R/3. But as long as you stick to the standard solution, this will be very easy to setup.
Imagine having integration to other systems: then you'll need the middleware to interface to them (which can be done using idocs or XML).
Imagine having a CRM-MSA implementation: then the middleware is used to send data to the MSA client. This means setting up the data-distribution to the clients, which can be quite complicated.
Imagine having a stand-alone CRM system with an IC webclient and flows limited to the CRM system: then a middleware consultant won't have to much work.
    Michael.

  • How can I send an update to CRM Middleware after changing BUPA longtext

    Hi folks,
I am looking for the easiest way to send an update/insert of BP longtext change to SAP CRM Middleware (& MobileSales). I have implemented save of the text with function save_text within of a CRM application for changing bp data.
Text is available to standard CRM transaction bp, but now updates have been send to subscribed Mobile Sales clients.
I have already checked the bapi_bupa* functions, but it seems that they contain no notes/longtext segment.
    Thanks for any help.

    Hi Daniel,
just wondering if you had a solution for this as I have the same issue to solve as well.
    thanks, regards.

  • Client 000, 001 and 066

    Hi everyone,
    Pretty new to SAP.
I am struggling to find answers to the following questions:
How do you use client 000, 001 and 066?
Apart from initial installation and support (066) can theses clients be used in development, testing and production environements?
Can 000 and 001 be used as working clients or should they only be used as template?
What should their configurations be when using SCC4 for each system inthe landscape: DEV, QA and PROD (and Solution Manager)
From a security point of view, once SAP*, DDIC have been secured should they be any other users (Dialog, System) in these clients?
Sorry quite a few questions but if anyone could give me direction as I am trying to understand if some of our current settings are correct and if not why.
    Thank you

    Hi Corinne,
Even though it is a very basic question, it is very essential to understand and find an answer to your questions.
Client 000, 001 and 066 are (as you know) standard clients thats pre-built when you install SAP.
"Apart from initial installation and support (066) can theses clients be used in development, testing and production environements?"
Answer: No, they cannot be used for development, testing or production environments. When I say, "they cannot", I mean they are not supposed to be used.
"Can 000 and 001 be used as working clients or should they only be used as template?"
Answer: Client 000 is basically used as working client only when you do support pack upgrade or ABAP load generations (SGEN) and implementing additional languages, etc. Otherwise, client 000 should not be used as a working client. The same applies to client 001. But the only exception with 001 is, with Solution Manager, 001 will be your working client. You will do all configurations and obtain support from SAP through this client. With other Systems like BW and CRM, this client (001) will not be a working client.
"What should their configurations be when using SCC4 for each system inthe landscape: DEV, QA and PROD (and Solution Manager)"
Answer: In the production system - "Changes and Transports for Client-Specific Objects" should be set to "No Changes allowed". "Cross Client Object Changes" should be set to "Changes to Repository and Cross-Client Customizing Allowed". "Protection: Client copier and comparison Tool" must be set to "Protection Level 1: No Overwriting". Same applies to Quality System and Development System. These are by-the-by default settings also when you install the system.
"From a security point of view, once SAP*, DDIC have been secured should they be any other users (Dialog, System) in these clients?"
Answer: Once you install the system, you must first make a copy of DDIC to any user you create in your name or any standard name. Never use DDIC when you do initial settings after the installation.
The following link might be of some help to you.

  • SolMan 7.1 SP10: Managed Systems Configuration: client 000 OK, client 100 error

    Hello,
after installing SolMan 7.1 SP10 successfully I also completed the steps "System Preparation" and "Basic Configuration".
Now I'm connecting the managed ABAP systems to the Solution Manager by performing step "Managed Systems Configuration".
After several other ABAP systems I'm now connecting our productive CRM 7.0 EHP1 system "CM3" (SAP_BASIS 702).
I also connected the CRM development and CRM quality assurance system without a problem.
For client 000 everything worked fine, the RFC destinations were created and a green light is shown.
Now the problem is to connect the productive client 100:
The log for Activity RFC Connection says:
    The corresponding dev_rfc tracefile says:

    Does anyone have a clue?
    Kind regards
    Rüdiger Höckel

    Hello Ranjith,
    thanks for your quick response.
The ST-A/PI software component is the same on all systems: 01Q_700 #2.
    SolMan system: SM3
CRM systems: CM0 (ok), CM1 (ok), CM3 (problem with client 100, client 000 OK).
I also tried the recommendation found in the SAP Community Network
(http://scn.sap.com/thread/3483642) but this didn't help either:
    1.Delete system from LMDB.
2.Delete system from SLD of solman.
3.Re- register the system to SLD of solman(rz70 for AS ABAP)
[the LMDB synchronizes with the SLD every 10 minutes, system CM3 is visible again in the LMDB]
4.Now follow the steps in managed system configuration.
The wizard worked fine for client 000 but throws this error for client 100.
I use all the latest installation and configuration guides.
For this step I'm using the guide "Managed System Configuration" that is available in the SOLMAN_SETUP wiki.

    Kind regards
    Rüdiger
P.S. In total I have already connected eight systems (SAP_BASIS 700 to 731) but this is the first system that gives an error.

  • CRM middleware replication, Bdoc modelling ......

    Hello,
I am currently on to CRM middleware, ........ I need to do some work related to replication of data from ECC to CRM, Bdoc modelling, error handling etc.
I actually went thru the posts, but could not quite get the clarity.
Can anyone pls let me know where to start..... to get a good underatanding of CRM middleware , any documentations on CRM middleware would be of great help.
    Thanks a lot !!
    Veena.

    Dear Veena,
To get a good understanding of R/3 and CRM master data replication, the SAP best practices
    C71- Connectivity
    B01- Generation
    B09- Customising Replication
    C01- CRM OrgModel
    C03-Master and Transactional data replication
will help you a lot in real time process. For basics & fundamentals, you need to go thru the CR500 and CR550 which can really help you.
About error handling, better you search the SAP NOTES in CRM Middleware section.
But for your client specific scenarios, you should again post threads on SDN with proper requirements.
    Thanks&regards,
    kalyan

  • CRM Middleware connectivity

    Hi,
We have CRM & R/3 landscape, each have client 300-golden client, 400-unit testing, 500-Devlopment, 550-converion testing clients.
My question- As data is client dependent, do I have to setup Middleware for each client separately or some Middleware configurations are client independent & some are client dependent? If I have to setup separately, how do I?
    thanks,
    LSP

Unfortuantely the answer is you only get one middleware connection per instance.  That means you will need to only create one client on the CRM side and it should point back to a client on the R/3 side that is considered the client with the best data.
The reason behind this is the following:
    1.  CRM Middleware setup requires you to download customizing data from an R/3 environment
    2.  CRM Middleware only supports one active connection between an R/3 instance and CRM instance
    3.  For Middleware development you need a client that contains both "configuration" and the actual data.
Your best practice for CRM is a single client, that points to a the client in development that has the best data-set representative of production.
This has been the standard since I have been working on the product since 2.0C.  The landscape that I support has our CRM Development client pointed to the R/3 Unit Testing Client(we have multiple R/3 clients also).  Gold clients on a CRM system just don't make sense at all.
    Good luck,
    Stephen

  • Use of clients 000 and 001 & their differences?

    hi guys,
Any one explan me the use of predefined clients 000 and 001
    The differences between them

    Hi,
Clients 000, 001 and 066 are standard clients that are pre-delivered by SAP. These clients are not supposed to be used in development, quality and production environments.
Client 000 is basically used as working client only when you do support pack upgrade or ABAP load generations (SGEN) and implementing additional languages, etc. Two standard users (SAP* and DDIC) are defined in the clients 000 and 001.The client 066 is used only for EarlyWatch functions (Monitoring and performance). The user EarlyWatch is delivered in client 066 and is protected using the password SUPPORT. This password needs to be changed for security purposes.

  • Unable to see sales area tab in CRM production client

    Dear Experts,
I established middleware connectivity between CRM 2007(001) and  ECC 6.0(200)  Production Clients,
    i maintained following settings
    Used transaction code BUSD
and select the respective role and click on BP Role -> Subheader ID
Checked the entry 'CRM001 CRM: Sales Area Data'  and even i checked the consistency is ok and  active in org model.
But still I am unable to see sales area tab in the BP master In the CRM production client (001) .
Plz sugest what else i have to do to rectify this problem.
    Regards
    V.srinivas

    Hi Chandra
    We all ready  done buffering.
    We have  executed report HRBCI_ATTRIBUTES_BUFFER_UPDATE,
and the scenario SALE is flagged as buffered in customizing table T77OMATTSC.
But still we are not able see the sales area tab in bp master.
Note : one thing we noticed when we selected the r3 reference customers when copied sales area into crm bp by using the tcode crmc_bupa_consum  we are able to see the sales area tab.
But when we trying to create new bp by using role Sold to party we are not able to see Sales area tab in bp master.

  • Mutliple ECC Instances to Single Instance CRM different client

If we have multiple QAS instances of ECC, can we use one instance of CRM and use multiple clients?
    i.e.
ECC Server QA1 Client 100 communicating with CRM QAx Client 100
ECC Server QA2 Client 200 communicating with CRM QAx Client 200
One consultant we are dealing with says the middleware only supports one-to-one instances, and one says it "should" work.
    Has anyone tried this before?
We created a separate test configuration of ECC but don't want to create a new CRM instance just to test.

    Note: Versions - ECC 6.0 & CRM 7.01

  • Using SAP PI instead of CRM Middleware

    Hi experts,
Is it recommend to use SAP PI instead of SAP CRM Middleware.
If yes how can I do that.
I have read in forum requests that it can be implemented by using iDOC instead of BDocs.
I need a technical guideline how data (eg. Business Partner Data) can be tranferred from CRM to other ERP System.
    Thank you for help.
    Greetings

    Hi!
SAP PI itself is a middleware Product but very roboust and capable enough to integrate any system to any other system, either it is SAP or Non-SAP. And there are two ways to integrate other ERP System to SAP CRM using SAP PI.
    1. SAP PI will receive the message from back end ERP system & convert it to the XML format. SAP CRM receives the message using the Middleware XIF adaptor and convert the incoming XML Messages in the BDocs and the BDocs upload the data in the SAP-CRM Data base.
    2. SAP PI will receive the message from back end ERP system & convert it to the XML format. SAP CRM receives the message and using the Functional Module convert the data into the  BDocs and the BDocs upload the data in the SAPCRM Data base. In thsi situation, you need an expert ABAP Consultant to write the accurate functional Module.
The data inside the SAP_CRM System always transported in the BDocs not in Idocs. It is the BDocs data containers which transport the data from CRM Middleware to CRM Database and CRM Database upto CRM Middleware.

  • S_DEVELOP authorization needed for CRM Web Client in SAP CRM 7.0?

We implemented an own WebUI component in SAP CRM 2007 and use it in others components (with USAGE).
After we transport the component in SAP CRM 7.0 we always got an error CX_BSP_DLC_CONFIG_GENERAL_ERR at loading the component. But if we set the permission to SAP_ALL all thing work fine.
In SAP Note Nr. 1367944 we read:
"It is not possible to run the CRM Web Client without the S_DEVELOP, activity=03
authorization because it is needed by the Web Client Framework.
The S_DEVELOP authorizatin is part of the SAP_CRM_UIU_FRAMEWORK PFCG role, which must
    be assigned to every user."
"This dependency has been removed in CRM 7.0."
Do we need to install some other SAP Notes at SAP CRM 7.0?
    Many thanks for advices!
    Handri Gunawan

    Hi Handri,
I asked my collegue here, who created the note.
The note is correct, in CRM 7.0 you do not need S_DEVELOP anymomre.
The error that you have might occur because of another reason.
Could you track the call stack of this exception?
And send me back the call stack?
    Regards,
    Steve
