Cross Company Controlling Issue

Dear Experts,
My Client is using two controlling areas.First controlling area have 1 company code assigned on it and another have 10 company codes assigned on it. Now they want to do cross company code controlling between these 11 company codes but as the controlling areas are different then how can we cater this issue?
Please guide.
Regards,
Zain Bashir

Dear Zain
Controlling area is just like a box limiting the management to slice and dice the data within the defined boundaries of that box. There is no cross controlling area activities possible.

  • Cross Company Posting issue

    Hi All,
I am implementing Travel Mgt for a multi-company and multi-country client.
What the client wants to do is to use one company  to pay A/P balances of all the companies by country. So if employees work across companies, the normal inter-company posting will be created for payment, but only one company can make the payment.
Is this possible in SAP? How do I go about it. Please help.
    Thanks.

    Dear:
Check sm30, table V_001_Y, it seems 2000 maintained for CC 2000 and 5000.

  • IDOC INPUT INVOIC FI Issue (Cross Company Sales)

    Hello All,
As you know  this  IDOC posts the FI document for the cross company sales in the receiving company code.
I have found some business issues that I need advice for:-
    1. If part of the sale has "free good" then SAP is grabbing the "cost price VPRS" from the billing document.
    2. No material numbr from the SD billing document is added into the FI item. When I display the FI document the material is in the screen control. I guess I may need to use a userexit that allows me to add it manually in the field or as a text item.
    3. CO-PA posting doesn't exist for the FI document as SAP advises that the GL account in OBCB is not a cost element. If I added the GL as a cost element then I would need to use a substitution or userexit ... to then change profit centre, etc. Note, if costs are not going into CO-PA then this will show  incorrect sales profit figures, as cross company invoice is flowing into CO-PA.
    4. Italy "free goods" have VAT charged, so I'm thinking that the IDOC cannot be used for Italy as mentioned in (1) above.
Looking for some handy advice.  Note I have seen IDOC questions here and in SD, so not too sure this is the best place.

  • Cross company payment through F-53, error in Check deposit & check issue tr

    Hi
I have just joined the community and ready with 3 queries.
    Please.......... help me to resolve.
    i) While executing the cross company payment ( company code 1300 making payment for vendor in company code 0013) using transaction code F-53, I am getting error 'vendor not defined in company code 1300'.
For F-53 screen, vendor is selected from company code 0013.
I have executed APP (F110) successfully in company code 1300 for paying the same vendor in company code 0013.
ii) For check deposit transaction, error is " entry 1300 is missing in table TO43S'. (1300 is a company code)
iii) For check issue transaction, error is "no batch input data for screen SAPMF05A'
    Thanks
    Rekha

    1. Don't give vendor number in the main screen, give all remaining inouts and press enter, then it'll show the second screen
there you can give the company code and vendor account.
    2.  Cretae a tolerance group for GL accounts in OBA0.
Don't post more than one query in the same thread.

  • Issues on cross-company stock transfer triggered by sales order

    Hi, friends:
As our business process required, we need to make the cross-company sale between to plants under two company codes.
The business process required is different from standard inter-company billing in SAP SD module. Our business process is as follows:
sales order --> PR --> PO --> cross-company stock transfer --> delivery to customer --> billing.
However, there is a difficulty in this process of make-to-stock production method. When we use schedule line item in SO to trigger the PO, there is a must to assign "account assignment category" in PO. This indicator is unchangable in PO by manual. When post goods recepit against the PO, there is no stock quantity udpate in un-restricted stock. By the way,  I selected "C" in the "account assignment category" of schedule line item cofiguration.
Checked the MM documents, I found it seemed like only two results of PGR against PO with account assignment category. One result of PGR is directly consumpted by receiptent or unloading point. The other result of PGR is updating sepecial stock. For example, I've fullfilled the process for make-to-order production method, the stocks are specified for sales order.
In our requiremnt, we have to post to normal un-restricted stock for the following ATP in sales order.
Could any friend give some suggestion on this issue?
      Thanks!
    Justin

    Hi, Venkadesh:
I've checked the Purchasing view and quantity/value update in both plants of different company codes. That's correctly configured.
In the business process, the quantity in normal un-restricted stock updating still doesn't work.
Do you mean that as follows: if select any indicator in  "account assignment category", we have to use UNBW or NLAG material type in the purchase order?
I have successfully fullfilled the process in make-to-order sales order, with material type FERT and account assignment category "E". The account assignmnet categroy is obligatory in sales order schedlue line item configuration, which is to trigger PO by SO. The configuration path is as below:
      IMG>Sales and Distribution>Sales>Sales Documents>Schedule Lines-->Define Schedule Line Categories
If possible, would make a test in your system to check how to fullfill the process with make-to-stock sales order, FERT material?
      Thanks!

  • CO-PA issue in Thirds Party Sales & Cross Company Code Sales

    Hi,
In Third Party Sales with Shipping Notification and Cross Company Sales the CO-PA report is not reflecting the correct material cost.  CO-PA is updating the material cost directly from the Material Master. Cross Company sales condition type PI02 & IV02 is using for pricing. IV02 is working perfect, but PI02 is not !
In detail, for Third Party Sales with Shipping Notification, no material is available in the stock. In material master the material cost display as $ 10/EA. But the Purchase Order value is $ 15/EA. During Goods Receipt time system is taking the cost as $ 15. While Billing time to the customer, system is posting to the CO-PA the material cost as $10/EA. FI postings are perfect, but CO-PA posting is not correct. CO-PA and P&L reconciliation is not matching due to this issue !
    Waiting for the help.
    Best regards,
    Joby

Have you considered using this user-exit?
User Exits in the SAPFV45PF0E and SAPFV45PF0C Programs
    EXIT_SAPFV45P_001
You can use this user exit to decide whether intercompany billing data is used in the profitability segment for cross-company code sales, or whether the data comes from external billing (external customer, sales data from the selling company code.

  • Changing controlling area from single company code to cross company code

    Hi,
Due to my client requirement, in the middle of the year, we need to change the controlling area from being same as company code to cross company code controlling area. Although the currency is same. We are going to create a new company code. Is the changing controlling area settings possible to do? what are the precautions and changes need to be taken?
One more question, we need to change the company code when the new company code is created in the system in Cost Center Masters in the middle of the year. Is this possible after changing controlling area from single company code to cross company code. Right now company code is not appearing in the cost center master.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Saidarao

    Hi,
If both companies having transaction data its not possible,Normally before defining Organisational Strucutre only we have to deside both companies is assigning same controlling are or have to maitain separately for this we have to compare the Fiscal year,Operating chart of accounts ,if both having same then we will assign both the company codes to one controlling area if these two companies having different currencies also its not a problem. When we creating Controlling Area we have to choose option of controlling area as same company code (if one company code one controlling Area) for example if you assigning two companies then we have to use cross company code cost accounting. If u need any further information let me know.

  • Issue with Cross-Company code transactions and Extended Withholding tax

    Hi Gurus,
I am having an issue with Cross-company code transaction while posting expense with 2 different company codes.
In the 2 company codes, one company code is setup for Withholding tax and other was not set.
While posting in FB50, I am getting the below message and system does not allow to post the invoice.
Company codes have different settings for withholding tax treatment
    Message no. F5786
    Diagnosis
You are entering a document containing at least one vendor or customer item and which has line items in several company codes. The extended withholding tax treatment has been set to active in one of these company codes, but not in one of the other company codes.
    System Response
You cannot enter this kind of document.
    Procedure
Enter the transaction in two documents.
For this I tried to test the transaction by activating of extended Withholding tax for both the company codes. Then the invoice is posting correctly now.
The point is if I activate extended withholding tax for the Company code which is not using the setup, will it face any issues in other areas? and also kindly advice whether is this a right way to set up to fix the current problem.
Thanks for the Support and early response will be appreciated.
    JBC.

    Hi Mamta,
Thanks for the Response. I think you misunderstood my scenario.
For Eg in FB60 with Co code 5065:
I am debiting the Expenses for Co Code 1000(Witholding tax not active) and crediting the Bank Account of Co Code 5065(Withholding tax setup is done for this co code). When I tried to post with these line items I have getting the error.
    Posting        GL                   Co Code
    Dr          106520(Exp)            1000
    Cr          202020(Bank)           5065
For this I tried by activating the Withholding tax for Co code 1000 which is not active before and post it. The system allows me to post the invoice.
I want to know whether is this a right way to solve this issue and will it impact on any other areas by only activating the Withholding tax for a Co code?
    Thanks,
    Bapu

  • Document splitting issues in Cross company code scenario

    Hi
We have the following business scenario:
(Please note : Document splitting with Real time CO-FI integration is active)
1)one company(say, Co.code X) purchases on behalf of another group
    company(Co.code Y)
2)the cost center of Co.code Y is given in the 'Account assignment' tab
in the Purchase order created in 'X'.
3)The PO is created in foreign currency
4)So, when the Goods receipt happens, the expense posting is happening
in Co.code Y and the GRIR entry is in X.
5)When the invoice is posted in co.code X, the Vendor Open item (in
foreign currency) gets created in X.
6)The problem occurs when Forex.valuation is done for the Vendor open
item. The Forex.gain/loss is getting posted in Co.code X by deriving
the Cost object from the expense posting in Co.code Y. Now, the system
is giving an error message 'CO object doesnt belong to X co.code'
I beleive this is the way document splitting normally works by deriving
the CO object form the original expense posting onto the subsequent
documents but I guess, it is failing in this scenario. Please let me
know if there is a work around to resolve this issue.
    Regards
    Ravi

We normally do the independent splitting of documents in respective company codes (This being the limitation mentioned by SAP for cross company code postings).
In the document split configuration, for Define document splitting rule, check for the leading item for cross company code transactions, and check for the item categories to be edited. The following two entries will be there
1100  Company Code Clearing CC = CC of leading item
1100  Company Code Clearing CC <> CC of leading item
In case of independent splitting, remove the first entry and check.
    Thanks and Regards,

  • How to control the goods receive in Cross-Company Stock Transfer process?

    Hi,
we use the standard Cross-Company Stock Transfer process to transfer goods between company, we have a issue, for  example transfer order quantity(po) is 10 pc, devlivery order quantity is also 10 pc,but only issue 5pc.and then we use mb01 to receive goods. It can receive 10 pc!? is there anything wrong with my configuration?
    Regards,
    lance

    Hi,
Can you explain WHY Cross-Company STO's can still be received by referencing the PO even if this has not been Goods Issued?
It has also occurred in our set up that the PO qty is 1000, GI was only 500, GR is also 500, but the remaining 500 can still be received even if it wasn't issued (referencing the PO).

  • FBU8 Reverse Cross Company Issue

    Hello,
I have a unique situation that I can't figure out.  One of our A/R clerks posted two cross company code transactions.  The situation is this.
    InterCo #######1
    Co 8500 Doc #####899
    Co 8520 Doc #####402
    InterCo #######2
    Co 8500 Doc #####891
    Co 8520 Doc #####400
She reversed all subsequent postings so she could reverse these two intercompany documents.
Reversed Intercompany ######1 with message #####899 reversed but ######402 not reversed.
Reversed Intercompany ######2 with message #####891 reversed but ######400 not reversed.
Now, #######400 will not reverse because it has a cleared document that was cleared by ########402
#######402 will not reverse with the error that document has cleared items but there are no cleared items other then the cross company doc with should be cleared with the cross company reversal.
    Please help.
    Thanks
    Rick

    Hi,
Please check if the period in which you are trying to reverse the document is the one that has been closed.
Also check if the document was posted in other modules like SD, MM You may also check if checks have been assigned to these documents,
if yes then you must reverse them first and make them void
the check using FCH9 and then try reversing it.
Check if you have changed any field status group of any account assignment involved in documents during the time document was created and the time you tried to reverse.

  • Cross Company Stock Transfer- Please check excise base for the item is zero

    Hi,
My scenario is Cross company Stock transfer (Two different Company Codes)
I have done following steps :
    1.Create Purchase Order
2.Create Outbound Delivery for Purchase Order
    3.Post Goods Issue for Delivery
    4.Creating Billing Document
    5.Creating Excise Invoice
    6.Printing of Excise Invoice
7.Post Goods Receipt for Stock Transport Order
Till MIGO there is no problem.
I am getting a errro while doing MIGO with reference to Outbound Delivery, when I enter Excise Invoice created in sending plant, I am getting error as
"Please check excise base for the item is zero" - Message no. 4F121
Excise Duty values are flowing as per the excise invoice but system make base value as 0 , I have maintained Assesable value in J1ID also. We are using TAXINN.
    Pl. help
    Thanks
    Vikas

    Hi
The best way to slolve this problem, Now is to maintain Assable value in Material Master For reciving Plant.
Hear you can maintain all the chapter id, register A or C, etc
    and then try doing GR,
The other way and the permanent solution is
    VPRS or equivalent
    Condition class B Prices
    Calculat.type C Quantity
    Condit.category  H
    Cond.control H Condition value fixed
    Condit.origin A Automatic pricing
In this Condition category is most important and by this only system copies the base amount for excise duty calculation in MIGO or J1IEX.

  • ERROR DURING T.CODE F-53 ( cross company transaction error)

    Hello ,
I am clearing two  documents , in which one is cross company code transaction and another is vendorinvoice through t.code f-53.
while saving the document I am gettting the following error.
Consolidated companies 1000 and ' ' are different
    Message no. F5080
    Diagnosis
The number of the affiliated company must be clear for the selected document type for all line items. In this case at least two different companies or a company in connection with a business partner who does not belong to a company are stated.
    Procedure
If you selected the correct accounts, you must enter the document with a document type that allows cross-company posting. Otherwise, please correct the entered account.
kindly help me to solve this issue
    thanks and Regards,
    muscan

    Hi,
Please check if in the control data of the vendor master "Trading Partner" is populated.
If yes, then if you remove the trading partner then you might not get this error.
If a trading partner is there, the system check the document type for Intercompany posting control and if its not there then the system gives such an error.
Changing a document type might impact all the business transactions relating to the document type that you are using.
However this might not be required in your scenario.
    Thanks,
    Nitish

  • Cross company payment

    HI Experts,
In My company Business wants the follwing secnorio, could any one can help me in this.
Under one company we have 7 co.codes (all are located in different countries), when we purchasing the goods from one vendor(xx) for all the co.codes using different purchase orders.
for example  the supplier has issued invoice number 123 in the amount of 1,000,000 with the following purchase order references:
    Co.Code       Amount
    1000             500,000
    3000     374,400
    5000     125,600
    Total             1,000,000
Currently, because of the system set up wherein purchase orders assigned under a specific company codes is not possible to be posted on a different company code.  Hence, our processors end up posting the same invoice in 3 parts.  Likewise, payment applications were done as well in 3 parts, in this example
if the abovementioned example is possible to be posted and paid via one document number (some sort of cross company posting).
All three co.codes are in different countries (Co.Code currency is differ) but using same fiscal year Variant and same chart of accounts and same controlling area. One Group currency.
    Regards,
    suda

you said you are having different POs to diff Comp codes and each PO has its unique reference so how is it possible that the invoice is posted in total.  its not going to happen .
but on the controlling side you can post them through allocations

  • Version 4.6c Cross Company Code Incoming payment to lockbox.

In version 4.6c I am trying to find out the correct IMG configuration for processing incoming payments to a lockbox when multiple companies are using one company for banking.  Here is what I have done so far:
Here are the company codes:  2100 has house banks and lockbox set up.
0980 does not have house bank or lockbox.
OX16 - all both company codes involved are assigned to the same Company.
OBVU - Non-bank company code  0980 has 2100 set up as Paying Company Code
OBYA - Clearing accounts have been set up between 0980-2100.
OB05 - Accounting Clerk has been set up for both company codes.
OB10 - Lockbox from 2100 has been set up  for 0980.  Even though 0980 does not have a House bank set up, IMG Configuration did allow the lockbox and house bank for 2100 to be saved under 0980.
OB96 - Forms to be used were linked to 0980
One issue we are having is that when we attempt to set up a Customer for 0980 a field for Lockbox is required to be entered.  When the 2100 Lockbox is input, an error message pops up saying that 0980 does not have a House Bank.
Can someone please explain how to complete the configuration for this type of activity in version 4.6c?  Also should we be using F-28, FB05 or some other t-code to post incoming payments.

    Hello,
You can post the cross company code postings even between two controlling areas. The system does not prevent to post documents between two company codes in two controlling area. Need not necessarily they should be under one operating concern. Provided you have to make sure that you have followed the following points:
In OBY6 - To company codes must be assigned to same Company, meaning that you mus thave created a Company and that company must have been assigned to these two company codes.
OBYA - You should maintain the clearing accounts in both the company codes. Meaning that you are posting one leg in one company code and the other leg in the other company. Therefore, it is required to have the missing legs in each company code.
    Company Code1 - Posting Key 40 - Clearing Account
    Company Code1 - Posting Key 50 - Clearing Account
    Company Code2 - Positng Key 40 - Clearing Account
    Company Code2 - Posting Key 50 - Clearing Account
OB08 - In case if the two company codes have different local (company code) currencies, you may maintain the exchange rates.
You can now go to F-02 and post a cross company code transaction giving the first leg in first company code and the second leg in second company code. Missing leg in the first company code will be posted to the GL Account mentioned in OBYA and the missing leg in the second company code will be posted to the GL Account mentioned in OBYA. That means you will have four line items overall.
The system will post three document.
Document 1 in First Company Code
Document 2 in Second Company Code
    and
Document3 - Cross Company Code Document.
The cross company code document consists of the first company code document number plus company code plus last two digits of the fiscal year.
Hope this must have clarified your doubts.
Please let me know in case if you need further details.
    Thanks,
    Ravi
