Crossover point of On premise and Cloud base UC
Hi
I want to know what is the cost crossover point of on-premise & cloud base UC. In which point hosted UC is less expensive and is which point more expensive compare to on-premise solution. Any TCO calculator is available in Cisco?

It depends on each environment and deployment. I have seen this kind of stuff happening around when the existing maintenance contracts etc. are running out and hardware needs a complete refresh, at that point some customers do make a choice to go over to a hosted solution instead of doing/getting the refresh done.
You can work with a Cisco Partner/integrator in your region to get an estimate of costs involved.

BW on HANA, where BW is on premise and HANA in cloud
Hi,
Does anyone know if it is possible to install BW on HANA, where the BW component is installed on-premise and the HANA component is in the cloud (i.e. AWS hosted). I do know that "BW on HANA in the Cloud" exists, but this is not what my partner would like to do!

No, I would not recommend that. If you put the BW components on premise (primary application server, additional app servers) and HANA database in cloud you will need a very high network bandwith to connect (min 2 Gbit/sec or higher), and you need to deal with the network latency as well.
Please steer your customer away from this idea!

This is the exact point I am trying to make. in the post.
That you must look at the things the business want to do in in their system, in detail, and specifically how you will solve them in order to make the right choice (ie online simply does not work well if you need integrations with thousands of records moving
every night since the organization service (even with batching) is just to slow).
Now I did try to generalize a bit but the reason for this is that I get many questions from sales people regarding which platform will fit a customer, and in my experience the platform will usually be chosen before all the demands from the business are known.
Therefore I wanted to make a simple checklist with points like, if X then you probably need on-premise because cloud wont cover you or vice versa. -
After successful install, all my adobe cc docs, when open, change pointer arrow, i-beam and window elements to oversize. When doc closes all return to normal size. I'm on a PC. Screen res set to medium 1920x1200. Any ideas how to fix?

Where has my airport utility window gone? When I double click on the airport utility icon all I get is a picture of a globe and a base station with no further options available to modify my airport extreme.

Let's start over again.
Open AirPort Utility on your Mac
Are you asked for a password at this point? If yes, enter the base station or device password that you used when you originally set up the AirPort router. Depending when you did this originally, you might have been given an option to use the same password as the wireless network. If you were not, then you have a separate password for the base station.
You need that password to be able to access the settings for the AirPort router in AirPort Utility.
If you see a window listing basic information, click Edit in the upper right corner of the window.
If you are asked for a password, you must enter the device password or base station password that you established when you first set up the AirPort router as explained above.
If you forgot the password, a Soft Reset will allow you to go in and reset the base station password. Might be a good idea to write down that password.
If you are still stuck, then the only option that you have at this point is to perform a Hard Reset to return the settings to factory defaults and then set up the AirPort router again.
If you prefer, you can also do a Factory Default Reset. It's the same as a Hard Reset except for the timing of holding in the reset button. -
3X points for LG washer and dryer is false advertisement-- 5 months later I am still waiting
I have tried multiple attempts (at least 3 calls) to Best Buy service and have yet to get my issue resolved. I made anLG purchase of a washer and dryer on Octobe 6th 2014. The add said get 3x points so that made my final decision to purchase from Best Buy. 5 months later I have yet to get my 3X points. This is false advertisement. In all three of my calls the representative has apologized and opens up a case. I never hear anything back. I keep being told I got my 20% incremental points but that is not what I am disputing. The last time the represenatative gave me some points for my frustration but said someone would get back to me and that was back in December. Its frustrating as I really like shoping at Best Buy but am becoming very annoyed and really do not want to purcahse here anymore if Best Buy does not follow through with their advertisements. I do not have a copy of the ad (wish I would of kept one) but Best Buy should be able to verify all their ads. I certainly am not making this up. As a matter of fact, the salesperson at the store looked at the ad and confirmed that I should be getting 3X points for the purchase. Since I have tried multiple attempts on the phone with no success then perhaps this message might work better. I would discourage anyone right now in believing any of there reward ads. My time is worth more than trying to chase Best Buy down for points I am owed and will begin to make my purschases elsewhere. BEWARE customers as I am a very dissatisified customer at the moment.

It will generally take 20 to 35 days for points to post to a member's account for a Magnolia or Pacific Sales purchase, which will start after any scheduled deliveries are completed. I looked over your account using the email address you registered with the forum and I do see that the base points for your Pacific Sales purchase have already posted. With that being said, it should just be a matter of confirming 3X points was being offered and whether or not your purchase qualified. It appears that your LG washer and dryer may have been eligible for 5X points, but it depends on which models you purchased.

Moving between Extreme Base Station and Express Base Stations with Mac & PC
I just bought an Airport Express and connected it as an extension to my Airport Extreme Base station. All firmware has been updated as of today. I have things configured such that the Extreme is WEP but allowing for extension and the Express is working. My Macbook appears to be connecting to the Express now but it seems like I have to use the Utility to select either the Express or Extreme base station manually as opposed to having it just go to the strongest source automatically. Maybe I made an assumption that it worked like an access point. Moreover, the laptop PCs in the house are not making the jump to the Express at all. I can install the Utility on one of them and probably manually make the change but the other is a Corporate PC that is 'locked down.' And of course that is the one that I want to be able to use around the house.
Does anyone know if:
1. There is an ability to bounce between the Extreme and Express like access points on the Mac and the PC
2. Is there a way to configure a PC to use the Express or the Extreme without the Utility (i.e., if I setup the Express with a different Network name)
The key issue is that I do not have the ability to run an ethernet between the two base stations - they can only connect wirelessly.

Do you have the AirPort Extreme base station (AEBS) configured as a WDS main and the AirPort Express (AX) as a WDS remote?
Or are they both 802.11n capable and the AEBS is configured to have the extend network feature is enabled and the AX configured to act as an extension?
In either of those cases, they are working together as one big wireless network. In that situation, any client will connect to the base station which appears to be the "best" connection for them.
There is no need to install the AirPort Utility on any device. Any device with 802.11b/g/n wireless ability can connect to the network. -

your question is not to be answered easily.
And you will also not find any recommendations about cloud or on prem in SAP documents.
The first question is: What is your understanding of 'cloud'?
If we are talking about cloud like amazon AWS - forget it for BW on HANA.
If you consider to give the HANA system to a professional SAP hosting provider - yes, why not. If they are experienced with operating and running HANAs, you can agree some SLAs with them - and they do the job.
But you have to think about all the connected systems too - usually you are loading lots of data into your BW system. On the application layer there is no compression so the traffic can be quite massive and the runtimes could exceed your needs very fast.
The projects and customers I know, are running the BW in same infrastructure as the other SAP landscape.
If the rest of the SAP landscape is running on premise - It is a good idea to calculate also HANA on prem.
With the TDI implementation solution its also possible to reuse existing hardware of storage and network - not to forget about the already existing infrastructure operation processes/knowledge.

Mail not syncing - different between Mac, iPhone and Cloud
Thought I had moved to the Cloud, but having major issues having all of my mail be the same in all 3 places - Macbook, iPhone and Cloud website. Things I have sent from my Mac do not even show being on there, and certainly not in phone, but are on Cloud. What is the best way to check that I have this set up correctly, so I can have access to mail where ever I go, for you know, work stuff.
Mac is running Lion 10.7.2, and iPhone is updated to OS5.

Online split and VAT Base amount (FAGLL03)
Hello Experts,
We are running on ECC6 and have the online document split activated on the segment.
In transaction FAGLL03, I can see the split of the VAT amounts according to the segment. My point is that I would like to see also the split of the VAT Base amounts. The field is there but the amount is not split according to the segment.
Is there a way to activate this functionnality ?

Calculate Absolute Angle with Crossover Point
Hello I have a Inclinomemter with an analog output the measures 0 - 360°
When the inclinometer reaches 360° the analog output goes to minimum from maximum which essentially means my DAQ reads the value as zero again.
What I would like to do is to continously add or subtract 360° to the data when the crossover point is encountered.
I would also be beneficial to have the ability to determine which way the iclinometer is rotating as well.
I would imagine I would have to use a register but I am really unsure on how I would grab the data value DAQmx generates and place it into the register,
I have LabVIEW 2009.

I have bought some licenses with an Id but at some point later ended up creating a new one - I have licenses on both and Cloud subscription on one referring to licenses under the other. How can I merge them? Or how do I tranfer the subscriptoion on my older Id?

OpenReportingWebServiceConnection in the windowsupdate.log sometimes points to Microsoft URL and sometimes to WSUS server.
Why is that? WSUS reports are never up-to-date. if this is by design it sucks
Also... it will take forever before clients are reporting to WSUS server..

I installed a new server (2012R2 standard), fully patched and only the WSUS role. Uninstalled the old one, used same database and moved the downloads. Installed a new PC (win 8.1 update 1), not in the domain so no policies. Changed the local update
policy and point to the WSUS server.
Still no luck...... WSUS Last Status Report keeps saying 'Not yet reported'.
Could it be a network problem (VLAN, Firewall)??
