Crystal Reports 8.5 not saving report criteria changes

I am a relatively new Crystal user, but have noticed that my version 8.5 doesn't always save changes to the report criteria that are made in the formula editor.  The program says that it is saving the changes, the when the report is closed and reopened the changes are no longer in place.
Has anyone else had this problem?

I am working with record selection criteria.  I am in the formula editor and add new criteria, check the additions with the "x-2" button and then click the icon to save and exit.
The changes remain in effect as long as the form is open, but don't save upon closing the form.  I've even tried "save as" to make sure that the form saves.  The form saves, but the changes to the record selection criteria do not.

  • Linksys E1200 Router not saving Port Forwarding changes

    Hi!
I am currently attempting to port forward on my Linksys E1200 Router and am not succeeding in saving my settings. I am attempting to open port 25565 though both Single Port Forwarding and Port Range Forwarding, and whenever I click the "save settings" button, I receive a full window message stating that my changes have been saved. Upon clicking this, I return to the previous screen whereupon my changes have been erased and my port has not been forwarded. Can anyone assist me with this? I've searched for hours through forums and tech help websites, but I can't find anyone else with this issue.
    Issue:
Linksys E1200 Router not saving Port Forwarding changes.
    I have tried:
    -Restarting the Modem
    -Restarting the browser
    -Restarting the computer
-Tried to Port Forward through both the Single and Ranged Port Forwarding

Hi there. You can try another browser or a different computer. If it is the same thing, upgrade the firmware of the router. You can refer to this link on how to http://www6.nohold.net/Cisco2/ukp.aspx?vw=1&docid=0a6881b90224439b92c8d8f19ca42e5d_21511.xml&pid=80&...

  • Crystal Reports 8.5 not saving changes to report criteria

When I use the formula editor to add new criteria to the report criteria formula, the changes are not saved when the report is closed.  It doesn't seem to matter how I exit the formula editor, and I've even tried "save as" and saving the report to a new name prior to closing.  When I reopen the report, the changes are gone.
Sometimes the changes don't even last that long - they often disappear while doing a refresh.
Are there and known bugs that I haven't found - or better yet, any solutions?

    Hi Roberta.
I've had this happen a few times as well.  Usually though a message will come up at some point in time saying.  If the report is locked when you open it, either because someone else has the same file opened in Crystal or if you open the report from an e-mail attachement, a message will come up saying something in the lines of the report cannot be saved and it must be saved to a new file.
When you do the Save As, where are you saving it to?  Try creating a new folder and saving it to that folder.  You should have full permissions to the new folder and I'm hoping it will save.  I just want to eliminate any problems with permissions.  After you save the file, check the properties of the file.  Did the file's date and time update or does it still have the original date?
When you open the report in Crystal, go to File on the menu bar and make sure Save Data with Report is not checked.  Make your changes and rerun the report and save it again.  See if that helps.
These are the two common problems I've had when this happens to me.
    Hope this helps,
    Brian

  • Crystal Reports 10 error while saving report

Last week i had a problem while saving my report.
I get the following error while saving my report:
crw32.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close
The only way to get around this was after every change build a preview and close the preview and after that save the report.
On the internet i found someting about installing the latest service pack, so i did.
After that i had the problem described in the following thread: Re: Changing datasource causes parameters to blank out
Sometimes the field to fill a parameter are gone.
The solution is to downgrade to service pack 5, but on the download page [https://websmp130.sap-ag.de/sap(bD1lbiZjPTAwMQ==)/bc/bsp/spn/bobj_download/main.htm|https://websmp130.sap-ag.de/sap(bD1lbiZjPTAwMQ==)/bc/bsp/spn/bobj_download/main.htm] i can't find sp5, only sp3, sp4 and sp6.
I'm downloading sp5 now, but does anyone know if this solve the problem?
    Many thanks

  • Classic Report - Column Conditions Not taking Effect when Changing Pagination

    Apex Version:  4.2.1.00.08
    DB Version: 11g Release 11.2.0.3.0
    Hi,
I have a classic report that has some columns that conditional hide/show depending upon the value of a page item.  When the report is first displayed with the first pagination set(Rows 1-100), the columns display as they should.
When moving to the next pagination set(Rows 101-200), the columns no longer display as they should and it seems that the condition is not taking effect.  Partial Page Refresh is set to 'Yes' for the report.
Any ideas on why this might be occurring?

    tvanderl
Assuming you mean that columns are rendered while you expect them not to.
Are the conditions based on page items.
It could be that the session state of those items is different between when the page is first rendered and when de refresh due to the pagination is done.
See if adding the in the condition used page items to the page items to be submitted for the region helps.
Others wise see if you can replicate the issue on apex.oracle.com so we can see what you mean.

  • CRM_CUSTOMER_H_MAINTAIN_OW not saving data on Change - Display

    Hi All,
I am using the win interaction centre in CRM 5.0.
I have added a new tab and new fields to the tab that are stored in the CRMD_CUSTOMER_H table.
When I save (click the Save button) the activity I call CRM_CUSTOMER_H_MAINTAIN_OW FM to save teh customer fields and this works perfect.
The problem I have is saving the values when the user goes from Change to Display mode (Click the Display<->Change button).
Ideally what I want is to flag to the interaction layer that a change has been made and get the usual prompt that "something has changed and do you want to save?".
I pass everything to CRM_CUSTOMER_H_MAINTAIN_OW (as I do when saving the activity) but nothing is saved to CRMD_CUSTOMER_H).
I have even tried CRM_ORDER_MAINTAIN (and CRM_ORDER_SAVE/ BAPI_TRANSACTION_COMMIT) and this does not save either...
Has anyone had a similar situation and how did you overcome it?
    Many thanks
    Gary Hawkins

    Hello Gary,
Today i've implemented ORDER_SAVE BADI, method PREPARE with the same task as you have.
    And it's working.
    code:
    data: lt_customer_h type crmt_customer_h_comt.
    data: ls_customer_h type crmt_customer_h_com.
    ls_customer_h-ZZFLD000003 = LV_YOUR_VARIABLE
    ls_customer_h-ref_guid = LV_HEADER_GUID
    append ls_customer_h to lt_customer_h.
    data: lt_input_fields     type crmt_input_field_tab.
    data: ls_input_field      type crmt_input_field.
    data: ls_input_field_name type crmt_input_field_names.
    ls_input_field_name-fieldname = 'ZZFLD000003'.
    insert ls_input_field_name into table ls_input_field-field_names.
    ls_input_field-objectname = gc_object_name-customer_h.
    ls_input_field-ref_guid = iv_guid.
    ls_input_field-ref_kind = gc_object_kind-orderadm_h.
    insert ls_input_field into table lt_input_fields.
    CALL FUNCTION 'CRM_ORDER_MAINTAIN'
       EXPORTING
         it_customer_h   = lt_customer_h
       CHANGING
         ct_input_fields = lt_input_fields.
    data: lt_cust_h   type crmt_customer_h_wrkt.
    CALL FUNCTION 'CRM_ORDER_READ'
       EXPORTING
         it_header_guid = lt_guids
       IMPORTING
         et_customer_h  = lt_cust_h.
In my example, i saved LV_YOUR_VARIABLE into the field CRMD_CUSTOMER_H-ZZFLD000003 for the transaction guid LV_HEADER_GUID.
If you are using your own program, don't forget to call CRM_ORDER_SAVE and BAPI_TRANSACTION_COMMIT afterwards. Clearing of the buffers can be done via CRM_ORDER_INITIALIZE.
    Hope it's not yet late.
    Best Regards, Dima

  • Mail Not Saving Toolbar Configuration Changes

After recovering my mail by deleting the Mail Data Envelope Index files, any changes that I make to Mail's Toolbar do not save. I can make the changes (add the printer icon, etc.). Close the Message Viewer window. Open it again. Then they are there in the Toolbar. But when I quit Mail and open it again, the toolbar is back to its default (and the sidebar items are collapsed even if I expanded them all). Does anyone know where the Toolbar preferences are saved? I tried deleting the Mail preferences file in the Container folder in my Library. That did not solve the problem.

Please follow these directions to delete the Mail "sandbox" folders. In OS X 10.9 there are two sandboxes, while in earlier versions there is only one.
    Back up all data.
Triple-click anywhere in the line below on this page to select it:
    ~/Library/Containers/com.apple.mail
Right-click or control-click the highlighted line and select
    Services ▹ Reveal
from the contextual menu.* A Finder window should open with a folder named "com.apple.mail" selected. If it does, move the selected folder — not just its contents — to the Desktop. Leave the Finder window open for now.
Log out and log back in. Launch Mail and test. If the problem is resolved, you may have to recreate some of your Mail settings. You can then delete the folder you moved and close the Finder window. If you still have the problem, quit Mail again and put the folder back where it was, overwriting the one that may have been created in its place. Repeat with this line:
    ~/Library/Containers/com.apple.MailServiceAgent
Caution: If you change any of the contents of the sandbox, but leave the folder itself in place, Mail may crash or not launch at all. Deleting the whole sandbox will cause it to be rebuilt automatically.
*If you don't see the contextual menu item, copy the selected text to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination  command-C. In the Finder, select
    Go ▹ Go to Folder...
from the menu bar, paste into the box that opens (command-V). You won't see what you pasted because a line break is included. Press return.

  • Not saving preferences after change in music folder

I've successfully moved the Itunes location (folder) before on my laptop, changing the place where music was stored, but I had major problems getting that IBM Thinkpad to work with my brand new Ipod. So I brought the external hard drive back down to my old PC. So here's what happens. I follow all the directions for making that external drive my Itunes folder location (Edit-Preferences-Advanced-Change folder, etc) but then the next time I start up the program, it has reverted back to C:.../mymusic/itunes. Very frustrating and I have no idea why. It didn't happen on the other computer.
A similar problem is that on the laptop, I did not have to keep signing in to the Itunes store, now I do. Again, Itunes seems to forget every change from it's last session. Any ideas

  • Extra Field gone after reopening a saved Report

    Hi all,
Maybe it is a stupid question but when i have builded a report with the wizzard and i add a extra Field and i save the report as a rdf. The next time i open the saved report the extra Field is gone.
    Does anybody know why?
    Thanks in advance,
    Daniel

The Fields are present at the object navigator. But i know what the problem is(i guess); sometimes i saved the report with the added fields and after that i try to run the report and suddenly the Reports Builders exits.. normally i restart the Reports Builder and then i am lost the Fields although i saved the reports before.
    What i did is:
    - create the fields manually
    - saved the report
    - exit reports builder
    - start reports builder
    - opened the saved report
and the fields are still there(in the object navigator and in the paper report) ;-) !
    Thanks for your support,
    Daniel

I follow your instruction as below:
    1) download the sample app vbnet_win_printtoprinter.zip to dev computer and compile it to .NET 2005.
    - Run from my dev computer
    - Click "Print Report" button
    - Error message display - please see below
The error was due to the default printer name hard coded in the program was not found. I have edited to my printer name and it can be printed out with no error.
    2) Use a "saved data" report so that you do not have to worry about database logon.
can't find the "saved data", please elaborate
    3) Then copy the exe to the 64 bit box and try to print using this sample app.
-do you mean copy the exe to the 64 bit computer for testing ?

  • Print Preferences - not saving with report in CR2008

I have CR2008 FP 2.7 when I go to print --> preferences and set things like the paper output size and set it to staple the pages these settings do not get saved with the crystal report.  The next time I go into designer all of these changes are gone.  Setting the print style to single or double sided does save with the report.
Does anyone know why it is not saving all of the printing preferences?
    Thanks,

  • Profit center report does not show selection criteria

    Hi,
The SAP Business One software misses a functionality :
When creating a financial report, you can enter surtain selection criteria in order to shift the data, and in order to get only the relevant data. This is possible in all reports. Also, in the result of all reports, those selection criteria are shown. In that case you actually know what the data is all about.
This is not the case with the profit center report. When you run the report with e.g a date selection, these dates are not printed on the actual report. When a second person views the report, he/she has no clue as to what the data consists of, they are unaware of the selection criteria.
The only solution is to export this to excel, or run Chrystal reports. But this should be entered into the standard report !!
Hopefully, you can help me out.
    Kind regards,

    Hi
If you see the screen shot I attached, it has the text "(new)" against the Folder name...
All new gl reports are under such a folder to differentiate... You cant deactivate any reports from the Standard Menu... You can just control it by authrization....
You can also ask your BASIS guy to display only the authorized trans on the user screen so that they are not able to see the std set of transactions

  • Crystal reports 2008  will not allow multiple exports in a row

I recently had service pack 3 and fix pack 3.3 updated to my system ( crystal 2008) to help correct a issue with mapi not populating addresses from outlook when trying to export a report.  I have a new issue. - sort of???
Now when I try to export multiple reports in a row I still have the same issue. I can send 1 report out. But if i try to send another report out i have the same issue that I had with  mapi not populating the addresses field from outlook.
To get past this I shut down crystal and then bring it back up and I can send (ONE) report again before the same thing happens. Does anyone know if there is  fix for this issue?

Im not sure I agree with you designation that this report should be in the report DESIGN forum.  I
My problem has nothing to do with report design in my OP.  The MAPI function (in crystal reports itself) will not populate addresses once I export 1 report.  When I try to export a second report that is when it quits works.  This is basically the same problem that a hot fix or fix pack corrected but now instead of now working at all. I can only export 1 report before the same mapi issue happens????

  • Crystal Report Lines / Boxes not show in Excel

In Crystal Report 2008, I created a report with lines and boxes inserted. I then imported into SAP B1 8.8. The report looks fine in crystal report viewer with all the correct formatting. I exported the report as Ms Excel (with formatting).
After exported to Excel, the report looks fine for the most part but all the lines and boxes are not showing at all. I went back to CR designer and tried to mofify the format of the lines / boxes but they still not showing in Excel. is there any way to fix the display of those boxes and lines?

    Hi,
Format like lines/Boxes cannot be exported. If you want the exact layout, print to PDF file may be your only option.
    Thanks,
