(CS5) Aligning, distributing envelope mesh points

Is it possible to align and distribute envelope mesh points? The alignment panel doesn't seem to react when selecting anchor points in an envelope mesh. Hypothetically, this could be solved by manually entering coordinates for mesh points - however, any coordinate value changes affect the entire object rather than the individual points. So... how do you edit an envelope mesh with precision?
Any help is greatly appreciated.

True in CS4 as well. I have resorted to guides and smart guides for precision placement but like you, would much prefer that mesh points were responsive to the align panel as path points are. Not sure why they're not. But then again, I'm not an engineer.

Is there any way to remove mesh points from a shape after making changes in the color to
    the shape.

At first I thought the Op meant what you read as well but then it did not seem correct.

there is no way to do this, I understand what you want and why but making the color static would probably in the end require some sort of nucleus to hold it even if the mesh lines were disconnect and no longer there. It is an interesting idea.
Sadly this notion you have is a long ways off.
On the other hand perhaps another gradient mesh on top the one just inter acting with the area directly below. Since you can now in CS5 give not only the edges of a gradient mesh transparency you can also give and mesh point transparency.
Which leads me o believe it might one day be possible.

Adobe Media Encoder CS5 crashes at a certain point while rendering, I have also tried to render directly from Premiere Pro but this only makes PremPro crash instead.
The clip I am trying to render right now is 20 mins long, 1600x900 and is a .avi file. The output settings are H.264/HDTV 720p 29.97fps High Quality.
This all started happening after I re-installed windows.

  • Batch Action to Distribute Layers Evenly (without align/distribute tool)

Hi everyone, I'm having trouble distributing layers in photoshop. I have try many way to batch the process via action script but failed doing it the way I needed it. Please let me know if you have any idea. Here's what I need to do.
I have 360 PNGs (like the one on the left below) and trying to put them into one PSD files with transparency. The problem is I need to have the layers spaced evenly with precise pixel in between AND all images layout in the correct sequence (so each will be 1 rotation degree off).
So I went into Bridge, select all 360 PNG and combined them into one photoshop file. But then all images landed on top of each other, then I tried the align/distribute tool but they messed up the sequence and I have no way to control pixel spacing. I have many sets of these needed to be done and I'm in pain trying to get this working. Please help and thanks in advance!

Sorry for double post, I was seriously under pressure. Let's take it over there - http://forums.adobe.com/thread/798314?tstart=0

  • Auto align & distribute objects in a grid?

i love the align & distribute 'tools' i use them all the time.
but it has always appeared thay they are only good for a single row of objects.
is this correct or is it possible to select a 'grid' of objects and have them evenly aligned & distributed?

    Yup it's here Christoph..

  • Creating an Envelope Mesh to a Symbol

I have created an envelope mesh to an object within a clipping mask and have made it into a symbol. The idea of this was to create a template where I can edit the symbol and have it automate the wrapping of the design using the envelope mesh. The problem that i am running into is when I edit the symbol and change out the pattern that is within a clipping mask... it will not render correctly on the envelope mesh due to the pattern size difference that is currently within a clipping mask.
Is there a way to have the envelope mesh render the size/shape of the actual clipping mask instead of pattern within the clipping mask? I am currently using CS6 Adobe Illustrator.

Create your symbol with a rectangle set to fill & stroke of none, and make the rectangle larger than your largest symbol. The will acts as a bounding box in your symbol so you can update and it will not resize.

  • How to align two 3D meshes

I have two slightly different 3D meshes (same size, different textures, slight modifications to the mesh) that I need to be precisely aligned in 3D space (which I will convert to raster layers and then manipulate).
I tried importing the one mesh (an OBJ file) and manipulating its orientation, then duplicating it, then in the duplicate layer replacing the mesh with the second mesh. The problem is that the second mesh always goes into the default orientation.
How can I align the two meshes (each in a different) layer to have the same orientation in 3D space?
I am running the latest Photoshop CC

I have only played with 3d a little bit.  In you case I would first try getting the two 3D objects into photoshop making no adjustment at all.  Then use the properties panel for both 3d objects to reset their coordinates.  Then select both 3d  object layers and merge the object into a single 3d layer. Then manipulate their position and sizes in respect to each other.

  • WLC 2125 with 2x 1520 Mesh Points - Ethernet Bridging

Hi - I'm looking for assistance with a new Mesh set up we are deploying, the solutions consists of:
    1x Wireless LAN Controller 2125
    2x 1520 AP/Mesh Points
What we are trying to achieve is to bridge two networks together, I have followed the Cisco configuration guide and I simply can't get the traffic to cross from one side to the other. The WLC can see both 1520's on either side of the mesh network and I appear to have set it up right.
Here is how everything is set up:
    - Local network (Class B, 10.0.0.0/16) connected to Port 1 on the WLC.
    - 1520 is connected to Port 2 on the WLC via g0/0 with an IP address of 10.0.3.110 (management network, 10.0.3.111 for the wlan-management network) - this is set up as the RootAP, with ethernet bridging enabled and the bridging group set to rsqmesh.
    - 2nd 1520 is around 800ft away set up as a MeshAP with ethernet bridging enabled and the bridging group set to rsqmesh. Small 5-port switch (non-cisco) connect to g0/0 on this 1520 with a device attached which has the IP of 10.0.3.37.
    All help is appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Craig.

Bridging will not work if the RAP is directly connected to the controller. But CSCsk15792 is filed on this issue. If you put a switch between the controller and RAP traffic should start flowing.

  • Way to return Released Envelope Mesh back to a normal Path?

If you use the Create Envelope from Top Shape feature, and then later Release the Envelope you at first appear to get your original shape back.
But it's actually an object called a Mesh. While you can apply Fills and Strokes to this released Mesh, there are some things you can't do with it.
Like setting the Stroke to Inside or Outside. You also can't use this Mesh with the Pathfinder Operations.
Is there a way to return a released Envelope Mesh back a normal path?

    Somewhat hidden and not self-evident:
Go to Object > Path > Offset Path and take an offset value of zero.

  • How to bring up mesh point using setenv parameters ?

    Requirement:
Instead of bringing up an AP locally and push the mesh configuration from controller, we can also bring up mesh point using setenv parameters.
    Solution:
Instead of bringing up an AP locally and push the mesh configuration from controller, we can also bring up mesh point using setenv parameters.

  • Mesh point-point with VLAN's

    Hello
I intend to connect a small network outside the main building by a mesh point to point link. In this small network are several vlan's in the ethernet network active. Is it possible to use the mesh point to point link as a trunk with tagged vlan's? If this not works, what alternativ exist?
    Controller: WLC 2504
    AP: 2602
    Regards
    Pascal

Yes, this is possible.  You will need to configure your RAP/MAP to peform "ethernet bridging".

  • Access of Puppet Mesh points via ExtendScript

    Hi,
Is there any way of accessing the placement of Mesh points via ExtendScript?
Why? In case you're confused / interested. I'd like to be able to animate in AE and export to something that Flash could then animate (using drawTriangles FP10).

    Hi niwrat,
The Puppet Pin's Position properties are exposed in the Timeline, and as such can be accessed using the usual property methods. Calling them correctly via scripting requires that you know the property path to them. You might want to use my rd: Gimme Prop Path script (http://www.redefinery.com/ae/view.php?item=rd_GimmePropPath) to retrieve this path. Once you have the path, you can use the setValue() or setValueAtTime() or similar method to change the value.

  • Merge Mesh Points???

I have a rectangle full of mesh points inside it. I need to merge everything into just the rectangle shape with the 4 corner points but still keep the mesh gradients inside it. Is there a way to do this? Thanks!!!

If you want to do what you need to do is to bring it into Photoshop as a  Smart Object save that document as a .psd.
Now place that .psd document into your Illustrator.
Now if you have to modify the gradient at any time you keep the .psd document open and open the smart object by clicking on the smart object in the Photoshop layers panel that will open in in a different document in AI.
You keep that open as ell and you modify it in Illustrator, then save it then go back to the photoshop file and save that then it will update or you can update in in illustrator.
yes it would be great and a no brainer if they had smart objects in Illustrator. Then you would be able to do what you want without this work around.
