CS6 Timeline issue

Portions of my CS6 timeline will not remain rendered, even after they are saved. I "Control S"  the render line turns green and it shows saved, but later reverts back to red (unrendered). Any ideas?

  • AfterFX CS6, Timeline Mouse-Lag! (with video description, vimeo)

I created a video of the problem and uploaded it to my vimeo account. Hope it helps to understand:
    http://vimeo.com/43892712
    Windows 7 Pro 64bit
    Intel Core 2 Quad 2.4GHz
    8GB Ram
    Nvidia GTX 580 Phantom
    256 Samsung SSD
Supertalent SSD (Dedicated to Adobe Media Cache and Windows Temp file)
3 HDD(dedicated to Video and Project and exports)
This is a fresh and clean install on the new Samsung SSD (latest firmware), AHCI enabled.
Only system drivers and the whole Production Premium CS6 are installed.
    Problem:
There is a clear Mouse lag while clicking and selecting/marking things in the timeline window. The more layers I have and the more keyframes are shown, the bigger the mouse lag is. It is even bigger than in the video with other comps I have.
This happened to me in CS4 (but I guess that was due to an issue with the wacom tablet driver that supposedly was solved with CS5).
But the driver and Wacom tablet aren't even installed yet, and I experienced this lag with CS4, CS5, CS5.5 and now CS6. Even though it was stated that the GUI is accelerated a lot in this release (via an Nvidia GPU). So I bought a new Nvidia Card (GTX 580), and indeed working is more fun now, but the timeline lag still appears. Before I had an GTX 260.
Turning on or off the preference "Hardware accelerate panels" doesn't do any difference. Also "Use multi CPU rendering" doesn't help the lag.
Is this the old processor Core 2 Quad @ 2.4 and the old SATA2 Bus? I'm willing to invest into a new Ivy Bridge CPU and 32GB of RAM (and a new mainboard), but I already did invest into a new GPU , a new SSD, new CS6 (which is supposed to drew faster on the screen in AFX). And it didn't really help the lag issue. SO I just don't want to get disappointed again.
I also tried a different mouse (PS2 cable), but that didn't help either.
    Anybody having the same issues?
    Any advice or help, please?
    Thanx,
    Martin

    (Sorry to double post)
A couple of other aspects of my AE are a bit off. I have a feeling this may all be interconnected, as they are all GUI related. These other issues are of little consequence, but if it is indeed all connected, it may help troubleshoot the issue.
Firstly is the behavior of scriptUI panels. My AE struggles when drawing ScriptUI panels, sometimes takes 4+ seconds to load the panel, sometimes (rarely) the panel doesnt show at all, throwing an error (I cant remember the exact error). I also get a slight lag when clicking dropdowns and interacting with all ScriptUI panels.
Furthermore, after my inital install, the CTI updates very slowly while RAM Previewing (it's fine while scrubbing). I solved this issue with a bit of help from this thread. It turns out in my AE prefs I had "Time needle update frequency (seconds)" = "0.250000", changing the value to 0.05000 fixed the issue. In that thread it was suggested that perhaps AE automatically set this value on first launch- based off its understanding of the system capability (to save on resources)... If this is correct, AE obviously failed to make a correct evaluation of the system's capability... I wonder what else it "got wrong"?
I just had a look through the prefs file (C:\Users\UserName\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\After Effects\11.0\Adobe After Effects 11.0-x64 Prefs.txt)
There's a bunch of stuff in there, but not knowing "what-does-what" I dont want to mess around in there just yet.
Has anyone else suffering from our timeline issues experienced anything like the above?
    Update:
Okay, finally some feedback from After Effects.
Today when launching after effects it has crashed with the following error
This article from Adobe explains the use of GPU in AECS6
OpenGL, the GPU, and After Effects CS6
You'll notice toward the bottom of the article, Level 2 hardware requirment covers hardware acceleration of of composition, layer and footage panels.
Im thinking this really is a problem with AE + GPU. This might explain why swithcing hardware accelerated panels doesnt make any difference to our problem... perhaps its just not working at all. any thoughts?

  • CS6 "Black Timeline Issue" Mac OS X 10.8.2

While creating a timelapse video through a series of JPEG's, the timeline on Premiere has gone black and no matter what I do, the timeline is still filled in black, rendering the program useless. I've tried deleting all my project files and previews then opening a new project, but to no avail. I'm very frustrated with this issue as I need the program to complete projects for school. I am fairly novice when it comes to CS6 as well as the Mac OS. Hopefully this is a minor issue and won't require a reinstall.

mr jeff i have format'ed the pc cuz of that issue , then after i installed the cs6 again the problem was fixed. but after i had re opened the old project , while the files were downloaded, then it happened again. the screen shot is the same like this --->
now i install cs5 to try if it will happen again

  • Adobe Photoshop CS6  Extended 3d Camera Rotation Timeline Issue

This is driving me daffy, and maybe it's obvious, but I hope someone might have an answer. I'm trying to create a timeline wherein the camera rotates in a circle around a 3d Object that is located at the origin of the Ground Plane. I click 3d Camera in the Timeline to create my beginning keyframe, I drag the time slider to the end of the timeline, and I Rotate the camera view around the Z (vertical central)  axis of the ground plane. I have the caps lock on so that the ground plane stays perfectly level as I rotate.)  As I am rotating the 3d Camera, the entire scene appears to rotate around the Z axis at the origin of the ground plane, which is what I want the animation to look like, but this is not the scene that plays back. When I play back the scene by clicking the play button or dragging the time slider, it rotates off-axis around some other center of rotation, with my 3d object often rotating out of the scene. Am I doing something wrong? Any insight would be appreciated.
    J. Combs
P.S. --I tried the technique both on an imported 3d object (a head) and on Photoshop's preset Hat object with the same results.

Each camera keyframe will record the camera's location in world and its rotation about a pivot at that particular location, not the apparent pivot of when you were manipulating the view. You will not have recorded a circular camera path. The path will be straight lines between keyframes.
If you really want to make life hell and do the animation in Photoshop, then record a keyframe at each 5 to 10 degrees of rotation of the camera while you manipulate the view. That'll create a polygonal path that quite closely approximates a circle.
You could be tempted to keep the camera stationary and rotate Scene instead but the lights are outside of Scene so they would need to be rotated individually in order to create the illusion of only the camera moving.

  • Encore CS6 Timeline Button Endpoint Error

Adobe has succeeded in making the burning of a project DVD as impossible as possible.
    WIn 7 Pro 64 Bit
I downloaded the previous version of Premiere Pro (PP) 6 and installed it to get Encore. Then I had to uninstall Premiere Pro 6 because it was crashing my rip in PP CC. I download and install the functional content for Encore 6 (EN6).
I open my project in PP CC. I built my project fully in one timeline in PP CC. It has hundreds of images, video clips, voice overs and music. I added 8 Chapter Markers to my one timeline and named them appropriately. I exported a DVD Mpeg2 video and audio to my DVD Folder. I took a screen capture and exported it to PS CS6 and made it a PSD.
I brought everything into EN6 and began building my menus. I have one video file and audio file in the EN 6 timeline with 11 chapter markers for the entire 27 minute film. I only want to put 8 on the menu. I create Poster Frames and assign them to the chapters in the timeline. I brought in my psd and set it as the background of the menu. I chose the Film Video Button from the buttons panel and dragged it on the screen. I duped the button until I had 8 for each of my 8 scenes that are within one timeline. I name each button appropriately and associate each button with the right scene and go to the flowchart.
In the flowchart panel all my scenes show up below the main menu Thumbnail and they are all named correctly and start the correct scene when clicked. However the individual scene thumbs can only be associated with one end point and they all have the same name. Whatever name I type into the Timeline name field becomes the name for every scene thumb. In this case they are all named "1". I only get to associate one thumbnail out of the entire set of 8 thumbs to an Endpoint and every other Thumb receives the same Endpoint I suppose its ok because I want them all to go back to the menu at end.
So Adobe Tech support says this is a workflow issue, but can't identify where the problem in my workflow is. There is no resource they can find for me online and I cannot find anything relevant to the issue. So he advised me go to where the real experts are - The Forum - Pat yourselves on the back as you are all unsung heroes out there working these forums. He also had me send him my EN6 file and will get back to me in 4-7 days.
Does anyone have any idea what I have done wrong in my PPCC or EN6 workflow to create this problem?
Does anyone have any idea what kind of dope the premiere pro engineering team was smoking when they developed this fantastic way to create a DVD?

Thanks Stan - SO here is where an Adobe Tech recommended this tutorial

    Hi ,
Please find Encore Tutorial link mentioned below :
    1.        Chapter 1 (Getting Sequences into Encore)

    3.       Chapter 3 (Buttons & Wiring up our Project)
    4.       Chapter 4 (Checking & Building our Project)

    8.       Chapter 8 (Creating Slide-shows Part 2)
    9.       Chapter 9 (Creating Slide-shows Part 3)
But I have now solved the problem - The solution is don't use Adobe and you will be fine. I imported my H.264 into Movie Magix Edit Pro 17 and finished burning the project in 45 minutes. Trying to burn a DVD with PPCC and EN6 is as much fun as hitting yourself in the head with a ball peen hammer.

  • CS6 timeline not redrawing properly

I just installed the Premiere CS6 demo on my Mac Pro (Lion 10.7.3), and I've been playing with it for a couple days. So far it's worked like a dream, except for one really strange glitch: in one of my sequences, the timeline doesn't want to redraw when changes are made. When I switch to this sequence, I either see the previous sequence I was working on, or this:
When I mute tracks, perform edits, apply effects, etc., the changes occur but do not appear in the timeline. The only way to get the timeline to redraw is to scale the window or change the zoom level.
The really strange thing is that this only happens in one sequence (that I'm aware of), while all the other sequences seem to be unaffected. I've tried duplicating the affected sequence, but the same problem occurs in the duplicate.
Any ideas how I can fix this?

@Chris: First, I should mention that CS6 has come with some massive stability improvements, and I would go so far as to speculate that it's now less crash-prone than FCP7. I've been cutting a native AVCHD feature in Premiere—I started cutting in CS5.5 in February, and I made the bold decision to change horses in mid-stream and finish the edit in CS6 because the gains in stability and functionality were so substantial.
The most serious issue I have experienced involved syncing multi-mono audio files into merge clips and forced me to re-sync all my dailies, but word on the street is that CS6 has fixed this bug.
I guess my biggest problems still extant in CS6 aren't bugs so much as lacks of functionality. For instance: if your media goes offline and the files don't have unique names (as is the case with AVCHD files, which are named sequentially from 0 on every card), it can be very difficult to reconnect the footage because Premiere only prompts you for a filename and doesn't provide any other information (shot name, enclosing directory, etc.). Another inexplicable problem: searching and editing metadata in the browser takes FOREVER on my system (as in: enter the search term, go get a cup of coffee, come back and see if the search has finished). Not sure if this is because I have so much footage in my bin or if it has to do with native AVCHD cutting or what.
I've been nonplussed with Premiere's inability to take only the used footage in a project and transcode those files to a different format with handles, something that FCP has done perfectly well since 4.5 or earlier. (There may now be a workaround to this problem if you're trying to render out DPX sequences by using "Send to SpeedGrade" — haven't really explored that yet.)
Adobe's priorities can be a little odd sometimes (case in point: what use is Prelude if it can't sync double-system sound? I haven't even opened it because it seems so totally pointless) and I will admit that I've briefly entertained the notion of switching to Avid (or …Smoke, or something?), but on the whole I've been quite pleased with Premiere, particularly with the improvements made in CS6. The real strength of Premiere (and what ultimately lured me away from FCP7) is its transcode-free editing, which handles AVCHD beautifully. I haven't tried cutting Redcode footage in Premiere, but I hear tell that the workflow is pretty slick.
You can read more of my thoughts on Premiere (5.5) here (note that many of my quibbles were fixed with CS6).

  • Want to upgrade to CS6, but issue with AVCHD scrubbing might stop me

I've been using the Adobe Creative Suite for years and really love it. The last version I stuck to was CS5. Premiere Pro CS5 had no problems scrubbing my AVCHD footage (mts wrapper from GH2 cameras) and I wanted to upgrade to CS5.5 when this became available. Then a problem occured: although the project files (old and new) loaded a lot quicker than before, it was no longer possible to scrub through the footage. The lag was just incredible and I can see (and hear) my drives go mad as I try to scrub through the footage. I assume this is because certain things are no longer loaded at the opening of the project, but just when you look at the footage on a timeline.
I hoped the issue would have been fixed in CS6, but after a colleague kindly installed the software for a few days on my machine (spare licence he had, since been uninstalled), it is clear that it is still impossible to use. WHY?
I'm happy to upgrade some of my system to try and make this work, but I need to know what the problem. My current set-up is (no longer) cutting edge, but hardly bottom of the pile either. Any advice would be appreciated.
    Current Spec:
    6 core AMD processor 3.6Ghz
    8 GB of ram
    Nvidia GT440 card (cuda enabled)
MTS files and project files are on a 2TB raid 0 (though windows 7, not dedicated card) (2 drives 1TB each 7200RPM sata 3)
    Thanks for any help.
PS: I tried with and without cuda, moved the media cache to other drive, disabled sound whn scrubbing,... pretty much everything

    Niels,
I've seen them and will add them to the results page later today.
You end up around rank #630, somewhat as expected. Your disk score is quite acceptable and reflects your raid setup. However, your MPEG score is disappointing, but that may be attributed to only 8 GB memory and the relatively meager GT 440 card. However, in comparison with other Phenom II X6 systems, nothing really stands out.
Your dilemma to improve the scrubbing behaviour is twofold: You are hindered by the slowness of the Phenom II X6, and whatever you will upgrade, but keeping the AMD CPU will only marginally improve performance. If you really want to improve performance you need a completely new Intel based system, but that is costly, requiring a new CPU, mobo and memory.
Upgrading memory does not look attractive, since it will not really help performance and is not portable to a new Intel system.
The only things that can help IMO and that can be ported to a new system in the future are extra disks and a better video card. I would start with additional disks, see if that solves the scrubbing issues. If that still is not enough, you can consider upgrading the video card to a GTX 670 or even a GTX 560 Ti if your PSU can handle it.

  • After Effects CS6 Performance issues

Hello all. Well, got three new mac pro 12 core systems all running 65 - 128gigs of ram with Quadra 4000 GPU cards, up to date drivers, up to date AECS6 and dedicated 500 gig solid state drives for global cache. Their all set-up according to Adobe specifications/instructions. And, no we are not working with the ray trace activated in comps.
We have all noticed that performance on some projects is painfully slow. In fact some projects which run fine on an older MacPro with AE CS5.5 creep on the new boxes running CS6. So slo in fact we have had to abort and jump to the older machines to get things done in a timely manner. Simple things like typing text, navigating the GUI and scrubbing the timeline are frustrating. We are not new to mac boxes or After Effects. We have all been using AE since version 4. It also seems like projects with a lot of footage in them or a lot of stills that have higher resolution dpi really seem to bog. Something is definitely wrong here. Soloing doesn't seem to help, reducing resolution doesn't seem to help and have tried about every preference option to free up performance.
If anyone else is experiencing these same issues, I would love to hear about it or possible solutions. The global cache is really nice when all hardware/software is hitting on all cylinders, but something seems a miss. Not getting why there are performance issues on some projects and basic operational uses like text.
Thanks in advance for any help that can be provided.

  • Adobe Premiere Pro CS6 - Audio issues

    Hello everyone,
First of all I would like to apologize for my pretty weak english.
I've been using Premiere CS6 for a while and I've never encountered any major issue that couldn't be fix... until now.
I'm working on a project that has several audio tracks, I've just finished my editing and I was going to export an aaf/omf for the audio. However when I loaded  my project, everything seemed to be fine, my playback was smooth and working well, all my clips and audio tracks were present in my timeline but there wasn't any audio being played.
The audio meters don't react, I don't have any effects on my audio tracks, there isn't anything muted and when I click on the audio tracks, the audio waveform is in red and is represented as a line.. Here is a screenshot :
When I relink to the original audio tracks, It doesn't fix the issue. The only way to make it works is to re import the tracks, and to drag'n'drop them into my timeline. In some way, i'll have to redo ALL the audio work and that's pretty tiresome.. (especially for the audio that is linked to video..)
The AAF fails (It tells me that It can't export audio clips that are linked to video clips..). OMF export works, it weights 800ish mo but it's empty...
Thanks in advance to anyone that could save my time on this issue.
Have a nice day/night to everyone.

  • Premiere Pro CS6 footage issue

Hey everyone - first time posting!
I've been editing a music video in cs6 for a week or so with no issues. (Shot in 4K R3D and editing in that codec). I just updated my mac to Yosemite and suddenly everything's stopped working.
All the footage in the timeline is just gone, as you can see all the cuts are there. When I try and render it I get an 'error compliling movie' alert. The footage in the media section just gives me a media pending alert in the source monitor as you can see. The music track is fine and plays like normal.
All the footage is fine - I've dragged it to another computer and it plays fine in premiere - all the files are fine.
Some help would be greatly appreciated. I've spent a long time editing and the deadline is on the horizon.
    Thanks guys!
    Alex Cribbs

    >just updated my mac to Yosemite and suddenly everything's stopped working
CS6 is 3+ years old and has not been, and will not be, updated for that OS
Even the Cloud version had to have updates issued to be compatible with that OS
I do not know of anything that is SURE to work, but a couple of ideas I have seen in the past that MAY help
1-uninstall and completely clear CS6 and then reinstall Use the CC Cleaner Tool to solve installation problems | CC, CS3-CS6
2-go back to the Mac OS that was working with CS6
3-buy a subscription to the Cloud version of P-Pro

  • Premiere Pro CS6 Audio Issues

We have been testing Premiere CS6 on our first job for the last week. However, we are running into some major audio issues:
    1. When clip is loaded into the source viewer, and you jump to through the cilp, the audio lags behind until you stop and wait a few seconds for the audio to catch up. This is a major hinderance when trying to edit quickly with clients in session. This also happens on the timeline when jumping around. These problems never occured in Avid or FCP running the same media.
    2. With no rhyme or reason, the audio (from source and timeline) sometimes just doesnt play. The meteres will be moving and the video will play, but the audio wont be coming out. Sometimes you hear a noise as if someone was playing with the audio cables. Also, sometimes the meters dont even move, to suggest there is no audio again video is playing, when infact there is.
These problems have occured accros multiple machines, with media running from both our server, and local hard drives. Our facility runs a NAS that pushes 110/MB/s over ethernet from a 16TB RAID6 (that is SAS connected to the server). One machine is running OSX 10.8, with Black Magic Intensity Pro, 20GB Ram, NVidia Quadro 4000. Another is running OSX 10.8, with AJA IO Express, 16GB Ram, NVidia 4000. and the last is running 10.6.8 with Black Magic Intesnsity Pro, 12GB ram, and NVidia GTX something or other (unsupported card).
Has anyone else gotten these issues? Like i said, i have tested the media from the server and from the local hard drives. We are pushing Apple Pro Res HQ, have also tested Pro Res LT, Pro Res 444 and Canon H.264.

For me it wasn't a RAM issue, I had more than enough to process the audio I had in my project.  This quote from a Creative Cow post worked for me.
"Try deleting your .cfa files for the media in question, and then don't mess with the project until they are done re-conforming."
    Here's the original post:
    http://forums.creativecow.net/thread/3/926011
I don't know how to figure out which .cfa files are associated to specific media files, so I just went to where they were cached and deleted all of them.  Open your project again and you'll see a little yellow bar in the lower left-hand corner of the Timeline window showing  that it's re-conforming your media.  Don't even think of touching the computer while it's doing this... I was so paranoid that I didn't do anything else (check e-mail, open a web browser, work on a Word doc, etc.) until Premiere was totally finished.  After that my audio played fine for the rest of the project.
One thing that's tricky and took me a while to figure out is that if you're using multiple drives, you have to be careful to make sure you're getting ALL of the .cfa files.  If you've set the project to cache your files on a external drive, and then open a  project on a different drive without having that external connected, Premiere will set the cache folder to its default location (usually on your host computer's main hard drive).  I didn't realize this, and had the audio drop-out issue, so I deleted the .cfa files but the drop-out didn't go away.  I found out that Premiere had reset my media cache folder, and had cached the corrupted .cfa files on my main hard drive.  Once I deleted them there and let the computer re-conform, the  audio played well again.
Hope this helps, let me know if you have any questions.

  • CS6 installation issues on my desktop, but not my laptop?

I recently purchased CS6 Production Premium, and am attempting to install it. I've installed Premiere on my laptop, as that and Affter Effects are the only programs I would conceivably need on it; the bulk of the programs are for my desktop computer.
However, upon attempting to install, I get the "Installer failed to initialize" error. I know that there are questions relating to this already, but I feel that the two-computer scenario gives me enough info that the issue should be significantly narrowed down.
If it helps, here are the potentially-relevant differences between the two computers:
    1) The desktop is 2009 and originally ran Vista, but now runs 7. The laptop is newer and runs 7.
    2) The desktop already has Adobe Flash CS3 installed; Flash CS6 is incidentally included in this new package.
I'm kind of expecting that the presence of Flash CS3 is the main impediment to installing, but that's speculation on my part. Any thoughts on the issue? Would uninstalling Flash CS3 resolve this?

I checked my specs, and everything seems to be fine. The only things it doesn't meet are the recommendations for Adobe SpeedGrade, which I don't plan on using.

  • Windows 8 Release Preview/Photoshop CS6 Licensing issue

I bought and installed Photoshop CS6 on Windows Consumer Preview and it worked flawlessly. I then installed Windows 8 Release Preview. This had to be a clean install. I didn't know I had to deactivate Photoshop before doing the clean install. Installed without a problem. Now when I try and run CS6 it says that the license has expired. I have done all the web and Adobe support told me to do but still has the same issue. Other than waht this article says: http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/error-licensing-product-expired-cs4.html Adobe support isn't interested in helping.
    Can anybody help?

I do know there's at least one person on this forum who is using Windows 8 (Kelly is I believe his name) and has gotten Photoshop activated properly.
I've been testing Windows 8 for the past several days (in virtual machines).  Microsoft has actually made it worse to use in the release version.  They've completely removed Aero Glass, for example, so now everything just looks flat and lifeless.  I've written a book that describes how to configure and augment the OS so as to get work done with it.  But I'm not sure people are going to want to upgrade to it wiith it looking this bad!
Have you tried removing Photoshop CS6 and using the Creative Suite Removal Tool to clean remnants of it up, then reinstalling?  I'm sure the telephone support people would have suggested that; I'm just confirming.
Only thing I can imagine is that Windows 8's UAC system is somehow getting in the way of Photoshop retaining its activation data.  It's no longer possible, using the Windows 8 UI, to completely disable UAC, though it is still possible to do it through registry manipulation (something best done by power users and system gurus).  If one does apps will no longer run in the "UI formerly known as Metro" - which suits me fine, but may not be good for most folks.
Have you tried running the installer As Administrator?

  • How can I get PPro CS6 timeline to correctly show clip stretched in AE?

I have a 2 second clip in my timeline in PPro CS6 that I want to stretch to roughly 18 seconds.  I did the following steps:
    1. right clicked on the clip in the timeline and chose Replace with AE composition
    2. when AE opened, I clicked on stretch in the composition and stretched it to 1000%
    3. I changed the composition settings to reflect the new duration of 18 seconds so I could view the entire clip in the timeline
    4. With the footage highlighted, I went to layer/frame blending and picked frame mix
    5. on the composition timeline, I toggled the frame blending on
    6. saved the AE composition
    7.  Back in PPro, the clip is now pink and shows that it's a linked AE composition, but the length of the clip has not changed and therefore only plays the 1st 2 seconds of the clip
In order to see the entire AE linked clip, I have to either click on the AE linked clip that shows in the project panel, down to the timeline or right click on the clip already in the timeline and choose speed/duration.  Unlock the link between duration & speed and change the duration to the length of the AE stretched clip, leaving the speed at 100%.
My question, how can I make the AE linked clip automatically show correctly in PPro?
Also a related question, since the composition is a linked compostion in AE, the frame blending box isn't available on the composition timeline so I have to go to Layer/Frame blending to turn frame blending on.  Is this correct?  If so, how can you set the quality to draft or best?  Also should I pick frame mix or pixel motion to get the smoothest frame blending?

Fuzzy and Ann are correct in my opinion. Premiere Pro thinks that the duration on the timeline is just the first part of a clip that has been given a rather long handle, so to speak.
Just drag it out as far as it goes. Premiere Pro will not let you drag it out farther than the end of the comp under these particular circumstances.
Why not do that automagically for you? Too dangerous. What would it do with anything on the sequence out to the right of the clip? Overwrite it or push it?
Now, I suppose that a good way to do that would be to alert you about the problem when you return to Premiere Pro and ask you how you want it handled, but that would take a Feature Request. And I am not sure what would need to happen if you had made a bunch of changes to other links other than that one before returning to Premiere Pro.
Before I suggest that you do that, I have to ask why you didn't  just use the Time Remapping feature of Premiere Pro do do the same job. That way Premiere Pro would have known what you wanted to do. I understand that Timewarp and Time Remapping both have different strong and weak points, I am just curious if you tested both and decided on using After Effects for a particular reason.
