CSM Probes went down for 15 minutes

Hi all,
This morning all the probes went down on the csm module for exactly 15 mins and then came back up. There has been nothing else in the logs to indicate whey the went down. I have found a watchdog process which i think might have started back up the process for SLB. Has anyone ever come across this and what was the reason that the probes stayed down for exactly 15 mins.

A possible workaround is to reset the card from the SUP console.

How to access an url when interface has down for 5 minutes and will send an email if it has up before 5 mins (will not access url)

I've tried this one before and it works, but the problem is, I would like to use full tcl, do I need 3 tcl script to do that? And is there another way to implement that 5 minutes problem? Because it looks a bit brute force to cancel the trigger occurs...

Powerpoint 2008 slow down for 10 minutes or so

Hi,
I'm not a fan of MS Office, but having to use it I must say it is not so bad on Mac. But on Powerpoint 2008 I'm experiencing very frustrating situations. It is slow for almost 10 minutes or more. During this time it answers keyboard commands with aterrible delay or so. Then, apparently with no reason, it starts working smoothly. I unchecked all the office options that may be the cause such "show gallery" or similar. Any idea ?

Wait 3-5 minutes.
Settings > General > Reset > Reset All Settings

Audio sync prob after capturing for 10 minutes or so

I have an audio sync problem when I import into Final Cut Express. Everything is fine but lets say around 15 minutes or so there is a slight sync problem.
What I have been doing is I import into IMovie because I have it setup to cut the clips after 10 minutes. This is great because I can let it run..and it automatically splits the clips up without any dropped frames at all. The problem is I then have to drag those clips..one by one into my external harddrive. That takes time and then I have to render the audio in Final Cut Express.
I do like though that the clips are a little over 2gigs..which is good for transfering between drives and backing it up onto a DVD.
Is there a way you can do what I do in iMovie...it automatically starts a new clip after ten minutes or whatever...this way I don't have to transfer and render.

FCE does not break up clips on capture. You can capture in 10 minute chunks if you want.
The audio sync problem can be caused by a number of things most common of which is using the wrong settings for your capture, where your settings audio sample rate doesn't match your media.

Only receiving repeat entries in iCal on iPhone 3GS v5.1.1 since iMac went down for service

Yesterday I took my iMac in for service. Today I was checkingl entries in iCal in my iPhone 3GS v5.1.1 and all entries were missing except those that were Repeat entries. I tried to go to iCloud to check iCal but iCloud didn't recognize my account and password and said I had to creat a new account.
What is up?

I had this same exact issue while traveling in Italy and France (I returned yesterday 17-October).
Before leaving, I verified by phone w/At&T that I had all necessary features to use my phone overseas. They said yes I did have all necessary features to use my phone overseas. They did offer me their AT&T World Traveler plan for $5.99/month but I declined since I would not use this feature enough to justify the monthly cost. They said my phone would still work overseas, but my per minute usage rate would be slightly higher. ...HOWEVER, I could not connect with any of the available networks while overseas (same results/messages as you).
I just spoke w/At&T again. Now they say I did not have the necessary feature to use my phone overseas. This is what I found out:
1. You can sign up online for the World Traveler $5.99/month plan. This will allow you to use your phone overseas.
2. If you do not want the $5.99/month plan, you need to have the Expanded International Roaming feature activated on your phone. If it is activated, you will see it on your online account under "International Features". Be aware, the rates will be higher for all services (I believe they told to make sure "Data Roaming" is turned off, otherwise I will be charged $20.00/minute for internet access")
3. If you have had your phone less than 90 days, and you want to activate Expanded International Roaming, you must call AT&T and ask to speak with International customer service. According to my recent phone call with AT&T, this is the only department that can activate the services (@ less than 90 days).
I'm still not confident this issue is resolved, but I will find out next time I travel outside the United States.

OK, my modem went down for WiFi. I replaced it. When I went to set up the unit again for restart it took me to Cupertino in California, how do I get it back to Ontario?

Here is my problem in a little more detail. Months ago, my Apple TV unit was not connecting with the WiFi network. I called Apple, and a really helpful women figured out what was wrong. Well, this time, my WiFi modem needed to be replaced, so I did. I followed the advice and restarted my Apple box, to restore. Well, it went back to the "Cupertino" server or what ever it's called, From California, instead of setting up fpr Central Ontario. My network is "tallpines2".
Now, I cannot make a connection at all. I'm out of the one year warranty by well, a year! How do I reconnect my Apple TV unit so my wife and I can watch our movies again?
We are both retired, and live on a tight budget. Apple wants $39.00 to help me. There must be a better way to get some help?

If you mean the timezone, change it.
The ATV pulls timezone from the Internet... so the issue is not with the ATV but rather your router.

In the last month my iPad has started refreshing web pages on it's own. let's say I'm filling out a form or typing something on Facebook and have to put iPad down for a minute when I come back to page, it refreshes and I lose everything.

First thing to try is to reset your device. Press and hold the Home and Sleep buttons simultaneously ignoring the red slider should one appear until the Apple logo appears. Let go of the buttons and let the device restart. See if that fixes your problem.

Plug it in and try a reset, hold the power button and home button until you see the apple then let go. You can also try that without plugging it in to see what happens.

ICloud down for me.....again!

I cannot login to my iCloud account. Again. The password is not correct according to iCloud. But then I go to https://iforgot.apple.com/cgi-bin/WebObjects/DSiForgot.woa/wa/iforgot to reset it and it says "The requested application was not found on this server."
This is an on going problem. WHY? I never had this issue with MobileMe.......

Mail went down for me on the afternoon of the 11th.
My iPad and iPhone are now working perfectly with mail. All missed messages have been delivered and I can file, delete and create new ones using my iCloud account as usual.
HOWEVER when I log in to my iCloud account via Safari it also shows all messages in my inbox (and some folders, but not all) marked with the date 01/01/70, and when using Outlook I keep getting "An unknown internal program error occurred" error message and no new messages are being downloaded.
So - While I can read messages and reply to them on all my mobile devices, I cant access any new incoming mail via my Mac. I CAN however create new outgoing messages on the Mac and they seem to be delivered no problem.
This tells me that there is nothing wrong with the mail settings in Outlook and that it is connecting to the account OK, however it will not recognise any incoming messages as iCloud is labelling them all with a date of 01/01/70.
I am in London BTW.

Why does my HD camera go offline (unusable) until I power-off for 5 minutes or more?

I have a MacBook Pro 13" Early 2011. I've had it for about a month.
After some use, the HD camera will go offline to all applications and doesn't show up in the USB tree:

PhotoBooth reports: "There is no connected camera."
Evernote just Hangs when I try to create an iSight note but occasionally says: "Camera Off/Plug in a camera to take a snapshot."
It appears that after the 4th or 5th time that the camera initializes for use (regardless of application) the camera goes offline and disappears from the USB tree.
The thing is that if I power down my laptop for about 5 minutes or more the camera returns to normal working order. If I do an immediate restart, the camera will not come back.
It's almost as if the power from the USB Bus has to completely drain for the camera to re-initialize.
I've read many other threads and have tried resetting the SMC which have had no affect on the symptoms or the work-around.
The only work-around that I'm aware currently of is to power down for 5 minutes or more.
Any help and input would be appreciated. Thanks.

I have a MacBook Pro 13" Early 2011. I've had it for about a month.
Which os did it come with? As far as I know, the newer Macs do not come with 10.6.7. Either they come with Lion or the last version of Snow Leopard-10.6.8.
Have you contacted the camera manufacturer to confirms it's compatible with the os that is installed on your computer? Any drivers you need to download and install?

In your library, right-click the song you want to edit.
select "get info".
go to "options" and select the start and stop times for your first section of the song.
click "OK".
Find the shortened version of the song in your library. It may take a minute for it to show up. right click it again and select "create (????) version". (the ???? is different for different formats).
The library will spit out a new, second version of the song which you can rename. I suggest you use the original title and add a 1 to the end.
Now you can go back to the other version and repeat the process with a different start/stop time.
Once you are done editing, you can burn all of your versions to a disk, just make sure your interval time is zero so there are no gaps between edits.
To keep the orginal song on your library, just go back to the original and put the start/stop times back to the original settings.

No, as I already said, they will not. They will not repair or replace any Apple device that's even been opened by anyone else.
In this case, the morons who butchered your phone caused a lot more damage than the broken screen.
You should have taken it to Apple for service in the first place.

Try charging the iPhone via a wall socket for at least 30 minutes then try a reset by pressing and holding the sleep/wake button and the home button for 20 seconds (maybe longer) until the Apple logo appears, ignore the red slider. Then turn back on. You won't lose any data doing the reset.
