[CSS+DW] Mas CSS

Hola,
Me he descargado una plantilla web CSS para practicar un poco
y ver como
funciona cada cosa y resulta que en la vista de diseño
de DW se ve todo
descojonado, en cambio al previsualizar la publicación
en explorer se ve
correctamente la web. ¿hay alguna forma de ver la web en
la vista de diseño
de DW tal y como se muestra en Explorer? es que sino es un
coñazo a la hora
de maquetar.

El motor de DW no es tan robusto como para lograr lo que
desea: siempre
habrá un par de cosas que no corren bien. Sin embargo,
DW es muy bueno
interpetando CSS que no tienen arandelas extrañas, un
CSS más limpio y
puntual (como debe ser) de modo que si las plantillas le
están mostrando
problemas puede que no sean las más acertadas.
No sé qué OS tenga pero en Mac he visto este par de
herramientas que le
pueden servir mucho para descubrir más sobre CSS y ver
el potencial:

Pero la mejor escuela está en ver el código de
otros porque descifrar
plantillas puede ser agotador. Por otro lado, la editorial
Sitepoint
tiene un par de libros bien interesantes del tema, este por

o si no es amigo de libros
impresos está este curso muy interesante en HTML para
correr local en

Justo he encontrado tambien ese enlace, pero mi campo de

(OT) CSS a:link a:hover a:visited a:active

Hola Foreros.
Tengo la siguiente inquietud.
Tengo un CSS definido. En propiedades de la pagina deje color
del vinculo,
vínculos visitados, vínculos de sustitución y
vínculos activos como neutro.
Cree un CSS y definí colores y tipo de letra. Hasta hay
no problema
.rojo_mayuscula_12 {
color: #FF0000;
font-family: Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;
font-size: 10px;
font-style: normal;
line-height: normal;
font-weight: bold;
font-variant: normal;
text-transform: uppercase;
text-decoration: none;
Luego cuando creaba un vinculo con ese color me tomaba un
azuloso mas que
insistía. Debido a eso le agregue al CSS
.rojo_mayuscula_12 a:link {
Perfecto, hasta hay nop problem. Pero cuando lo veo en OPERA,
me muestra que
al vinculo que le di otro color. En firefox, Netscape, Frog
no me muestra
ese error de cambio de color.
Probem con
.rojo_mayuscula_12 a:link a:hover a:visited a:active{
Pero no funciona.
Bueno. Como puedo obligar a un tipo de letra que tome el
color activo,
enzima, visitado sigan sin cambiar el color para todos los
Explorer?
Que parte me quedo mal en .rojo_mayuscula_12 a:link a:hover
a:visited
a:active{ para que me tome el color?

Hola Annuack. Sólo un truco:
¡No utilices ese tipo de nombres en los estilos! 8-)
¿Te imaginas que dentro de un mes tengas que cambiar el
diseño y los enlaces
pasen a ser verdes y en minuscula?
Es mejor definirlos por su función en el documento
(enlacesNavegacion,
linksContenido...) que por su apariencia.

[css] alineamientos verticales

Hola. Estoy intentando estructurar el dise�o de una
web, pero tengo un
problema con el <div id="pie">, ya que lo que quiero,
es que esta p�gina
est� expandida en un 100%, pero esta capa, se muestre
en la parte
inferior. Prob� a sacarla del <div
id="colppal">, pero entonces la
p�gina se ve a m�s del 100% y siempre aparecen
las barras espaciadoras.
Os pego el c�digo, para ver si alguien me puede sacar
de esta comedura
de tarro, ya que llevo toda la tarde d�ndole vueltas y

Tal vez ser�a un poquito mas facil si hicieras una
imagen con el tipo de
layout que quieres. Porque ya revise el codigo y en si eso de
que este
expandida es muy general. Que este expandida a lo ancho a lo
largo, en fin
mejor verlo graficamente para asi poder ayudar.

Dw mx2004 - plantilla /css??

Hola,
Hay posibilidad, de insertar titulo, descripcion y palabras
claves en una
plantilla,??.
Es una web esencialmente de fotos pero son casi 700 paginas y
como son todas
del mismo tema, puedo perfectamente poner el mismo titulo
etc.. a todas y
evitarme el trabajazo de colocar los meta 700 veces.
el css puede ayudar? es que acabo de iniciarme con el css y
estoy
encantada...
A lo mejor es una pregunta tonta, pero no soy profesional y
solo "trabajo
con DW" cuando tengo que actualizar o remoderlar mis dos
propias paginas
web. Ya me habeis ayudado en otras ocasiones.

Te creas un archivo llamado metas.php
Pones =FAnicamente las etiquetas Meta sin nada mas.
Y en las casi 700 paginas restantes... donde debes de poner
las =
etiquetas meta=20

Es casi por no decir el mismo trabajo, copiar y pegar...
para la =
pr=F3xima vez usa bases de datos y te olvidas de tantas
p=E1ginas.
Y por cierto los css son hojas de estilo, ahi s=F3lo das
criterios, =
tipos dist=EDntos de estilos, nada mas, otra cosa es que te
crees un =
sistema de plantillas y crees el archivo css con PHP y
modifiques el =
color, la foto de fondo... etc.=20

CSS y navegadores :(

Hola a todos aunque soy nuevo en esto del rollo web he
intentado emplear los
CSS que me parece lo mejor para el diseño web sin
embargo tengo algunos
problemillas y aun me resultan confusas algunas cosas como
por ejemplo en
como se muestra la pagina en IE6 y en firefox, adjunto
imagenes (espero no
se molesten) donde en firefox el estilo del "Contenido"
comienza mas arriba
que en IE6 ¿hay alguna forma de homologar esto? les

Un problema que te puedes encontrar al probar tu web en explorer en mac es que a pesar de haber usado microsoft la plataforma mac para hacer todas las pruebas que querían de su navegador internet explorer esto se acabó en la versión 5.2. De hecho si ahora entras a la web de software para mac de microsoft, ni lo encuentras.
En los foros de Macuarium hay un enlace a una web en la que han adaptado internet explorer 7 para mac, pero no lo he probado.
Asegúrate que diseñas tus CSS siguiendo los estándares del W3C y no tendrás problemas con 'casi' ningún navegador.
En este enlace del W3C tienes una Guía de Referencia Rápida de las etiquetas CSS. Échale un vistazo y prueba.
Otra cosa es el código que te genera Dreamweaver. No lo uso desde antes de que Adobe comprara Macromedia y en su día generaba una cantidad de código innecesario que hace que no sea un código válido en muchos navegadores. Aquí tienes un validador que te va a decir los errores que has cometido al escribir tu CSS.
En el Centro de Desarrollo de Dreamweaver tienes recursos que te pueden interesar: http://www.adobe.com/es/devnet/dreamweaver/ , de hecho hay un tutorial para trabajar las CSS con dreamweaver 8.
Copia aquí la parte de código de ese botón que te da problemas por si alguno por aquí podemos ayudarte.
No se si te he ayudado o te he liado más con toda esta información, pero bueno.

Css help please

just put up my new index page but can't seem to get the page
to hold its layout when it gets reduced - especially the righthand
part just stays where it is and a few other bits do to

Problem with CSS in ADF 11g application

Hi,
I have added a CSS code for my login page(login.html), The issue i am facing is When ever i am opening the page the complete CSS is not coming for each time one CSS component is coming that's means if there are 4 CSS components as shown below i need to login and logout the page 4times. 5th time i am getting the complete page.

Generally when creating a Word file from either a Mac or Win7 pc and opening it on two different machines (either one first) it always prompts that the file is open and will be opened as read only. However opening a CSS file does not prompt that it is alr

Generally when creating a Word file from either a Mac or Win7 pc and opening it on two different machines (either one first) it always prompts that the file is open and will be opened as read only.
However opening a CSS file does not prompt that it is already open on or from any machine which is causing code edits to be lost.
What we found from out testing:
- The file can be saved from one user to the server and WILL NOT PROMPT on other machines until the saving machine has the Dreamweaver program closed completely
- The file can be closed and Dreamweaver minimised to the launch bar but it still will not register on other machines that it has been changed.
- Also, until the Dreamweaver program is closed on the machines, it will continue to open it's saved version of the file.
Example Scenario:
- User 1 opens test.css (which is 2000 lines) and adds some code to the end of the file to bring it up to 2500 lines
- Meanwhile User 2 opens test.css as well (opens as 2000 lines as User 1’s edits have not yet been saved) and adds in code to bring it to 2300 lines
- User 1 saves his file and closes it - but Dreamweaver is still open.
- User 2 also saves his file and leaves Dreamweaver open.
- The server will report the size and last edit of the file the same as User 2 as he was the last person to save it (and if you open from the Win7 Machine it will show as User 2’s 2300 line version)
- If User 1 then open's the file again (from either the 'recent' in Dreamweaver OR clicking on the file directly in Finder...which version opens.... The version that User 1 saved! Not the true version on the server, but the version that User 1 edited and saved with 2500 lines in it.
- Same for User 2, he will open 'his' version with 2300 lines in.
Other information:
- Files are opened directly from the server
- Sometimes the users will save incrementally and re-open
- Most of the time users will save incrementally and keep the files open
- The users will never not save incrementally and just save when closing the file once finished
- The users are usually working on the files all day
- It is always the bottom lines of code that are lost. It could be a case of the two versions being mixed up and cutting off the newly added lines based on the line count (possibly).
It is as if Dreamweaver is holding a cache of the version locally and then only properly looking back to the server when it has been completely closed. It is very difficult to see how the server is causing such an impact on these files, there are very few logs which are giving any indication to the root cause of the problems.
Anyone know if this is a known issue?
Is there a way that there can be a featured implemented on the server that doesn't allow another user to open a file if it is already open on another machine?

Your server file handling has nothing, and really nothing to do with Adobe software. If files don't get locked for (over-)writing and/or lose connection to the program opening them, then your server is misconfigured. It's as plain and simple and that. Anything from "known file types"/ file associations not being set correctly, MIME types being botched, crooked user privileges and file permissions, missing Mac server extensions, delayed file writing on the server, generic network timeout issues and what have you. Either way, you have written a longwinded post with no real value since you haven't bothered to provide any proper technical info, most notably about the alleged server. Either way, the only way you can "fix" it is by straightening out your server and network configuration, not some magic switch in Adobe's software.

How Do You Add Multiple CSS Rules to Text?

Hi everyone, I have these css rules in my css styles window they are all assigned to some text in a cell on my page.

How do you add (all of) these styles to the text in the first place, I know how to add the first one (.Def14grey4), you select the text in the cell and choose the rule from the drop-down menu in the css panel, but how do you add the other ones to some text as well, so that it can have the same link properties.
Basically I have some more text elsewhere on the page and want to assign these rules to that as well.

Is there a way to create a CSS image gallery with caption?

Hi everyone,
Ive been using the disjoint rollover, but I only have one
thing that I want to add to it—a caption right underneath an
image.
Besides using that Project Seven plug-in, is there a way to
create an image gallery without using layers? Or is layers the only
way to do it? All I want (words of doom, huh?) is a thumbnail to be
able to switch and image and add a caption to it. Can anyone point
me in the right direction? Or is that Project Seven plug-in deal my
best bet? What about Set Text of Layer in DW.
Oh yeah, Im still using DW with CSS sprinkled in..any help?

Of course.

That would do it, and it's not necessary that the layer stay
a layer after
you have done it, either. I do this frequently - make a
layer, apply the
behavior, and then remove the position:absolute from the div,
and place it
where I want it.

Can someone help me understand how ePub CSS @fontface Unicode characters are supported in td , but not in div or other elements?

Hi,
I'm working on a project to convert several hundred thousand life sciences articles into epub format, and we have run in to a problem with character entities.
Being that these are scientific articles, the characters are from a wide range of Unicode charts, and are essential to transmitting the meaning of the data.
The problem is that in my epub, the character entity inside a table data cell is rendering the @font-face correctly, but inside any other HTML element, the character renders as an empty box on our ipad2s.
I've placed pre tags in hopes that the unicode will not be rendered in your browser here. The code point in this example is x1d542 just in case.
So inside div, we see boxes, inside td, we see the character rendered properly.

Is it possible that this is a rendering bug, because the character is rendering in the table cell, but not in other elements?
Have I missed something obvious?

I assume you are including the STIX font as part of your epub files?
Perhaps the folks who do this blog might be able to help -- they have done some work with font embedding:
