Init-Routine in Shared Library not executed

I have tried to write a Shared Library with an init- and fini-routine. I have used the #pragma init resp. #pragma fini statements to specify the names of the functions to be executed.
But when loading my library nothing happens. The init function is not executed. After renaming the functions to init resp fini everything worked fine (even without #pragma).
It seems that the #pragma statements are ignored.
This is my library:
#include <stdio.h>
void init(void);
void fini(void);
#pragma init (init)
#pragma fini (fini)
void init()
fprintf(stdout, " init called");
void fini()
fprintf(stdout, " fini called");
My compiler version is "WorkShop Compilers 4.2". The OS version is Solaris 5.7

As an asside, C 4.2 is not supported on Solaris 7 or
higher.

    Hi Captfoss,
    Thanks for your help.
    We've figured it out. Fobs4JMF 0.4.1 is compiled in Java 5 for 32bit. Once we compiled in Java 5, it began to work. Repeat: do not use Fobs4JMF on a 64bit mac running Java 6, it will require a 64bit native library. The provided jnilib is in 32bit!
    Here was out directory structure:
    /gemident.jar
    /jmf.properties
    /libfobs4jmf.jnilib
    /lib/jmf.jar
    /lib/fobs4jmf.jarAnd our manifest.mf:
    Manifest-Version: 1.0
    Main-Class: GemIdentOperations.Run
    Class-Path: lib/jmf.jar lib lib/fobs4jmf.jarWe can execute with the following:
    java -Xmx1400m -jar gemident.jarThere is no need for any "Djava.library.path" or "LD_LIBRARY_PATH" - it should just work

  • Songs from shared library not available

    I have a base computer (XP) with Itunes set up. I manage my own library and have multiple directories. Everything shows up and runs fine on that computer.
    However I have a laptop that I use to feed an Airport Express on my stereo. When I load the shared library from the base computer, everything shows up, but only a small fraction of the songs will play. They are all in one directory, while the bulk of my library will not play.
    Help

    You can't copy songs from a library shared using the iTunes "Share my library" option. Libraries shared in this way will only let other people see and listen to the library. The songs can't be changed, copied or otherwise used by anyone other than the person who is sharing the library.

  • Images in the shared library not loaded in the application EAR

    The images in the shared library are not getting loaded in the application EAR deployed in the weblogic server.
    I have a portal web project, which is deployed in the server, as a shared library. I'm using this shared library in my application EAR. All the details like the portlets, look and feel elements are loaded. But the images are not displayed when I run my application. Please help!!
    Can it be a problem with the context path specified or something else?

    Hello,
    It is most likely an issue with how your portlets are creating the URLs to the images. What kind of portlets are you using (JPF, JSF, JSR168, Struts, JSP)? And how are you generating the URLs to the images?

  • Shared Library not sharing certain movies or tv shows to 1st Gen iPad

    I purchased Blu-Ray's that included the digital copy feature for a couple of movies including The Lord of the Rings, as well as Transformers 2. I was successfully able to regiser the movies in iTunes, download them, and they play them fine directly on the Mac where I downloaded them to.
    I use the Shared Libraries feature to allow my iPhone 4S as well as a 1st generation iPad, and a 13' Macbook Air to access content stored on the Mac where I downloaded the movies in question.  The movies can be played fine via Shared Libraries on the iPhone 4s, the Macbook Air, but they are not even displayed in the Shared Libraries on the iPad. When I browse on the iPad, the movies do not appear in the library. However what is very odd is that other movies that I have purchased directly from iTunes do show up on the iPad - for example I bought Disney's Cars directly from the the iTunes store, and this one shows up fine on the iPad. I'm seeing this same content for several videos that shows up as "TV Shows" but don't display at all on the iPad.
    A few technical details:
    The movies were downloaded using iTunes version 10.6.1 (7) to a 2012 Mac Mini running the Intel Core i7 CPU.
    OSX 10.7.4 is installed on the Mac
    iOS 5.1.1 is installed on the 1st Gen iPad and on the iPhone 4s
    I find it quite odd that the videos play on every Apple device I own, and even a PC that is using the Shared Library but not on the 1st Gen Ipad.
    Any ideas?

    Mmmm....OK, just deleted a movie that was already there, and the ones I imported suddenly appeared. And started to download a TV series from the iTunes store, and the imported ones appeared too....no idea what was going on, but all is how I want it now...iTunes must have got it's knickers in a twist!!

  • Aperture - Album from Shared Library Not Appearing in iTunes

    I have a recurring problem which is making Aperture downright useless.
    I operate a shared Aperture library (shared between 2 users on the same iMAC) which resides in the 'Shared' Users folder. Obviously we cannot have the same library open at the same time -that's no problem. I have set the sharing properties for the library contents and folders to Read and Write for both of us.
    The problem is that when I add photos and create a new Project ad Album to put them in (not worried about the other user at the moment), these don't show up in the Aperture album or project list in Photos in iTunes to sync to my iPad or iPhone.
    I have this very minute added a new album, closed Aperture and made sure its written to disk. Then I have closed the iTunes app and made sure it has quit.
    Then when iTunes loads up again and I connect my device - the library and project do not appear in the items to sync.
    This happens all of the time and it's making Aperture pretty pants. If the only resolution is to rebuild thumbnails, rebuild XML file etc or any more of that - then its not fit for purpose.
    Has anybody a long term permanent fix for this?
    It's seriously doing my head in!

    Bumping this up as it seems that nobody has any idea.

  • Home sharing library not showing up

    I have set up home sharing between my two computers, my old computer (secondary), and new computer (primary). Now they are on a good internet connection, and I am able to find them on my home sharing list, however, when I select my old computer's library on my new computer's iTunes, I see a screen saying "Loading 'Secondary Computer'...", for a few seconds, then it simply goes back to the main music screen without accessing my old library. I have tried restarting itunes on both computers, as well as restarting the systems themselves. Please help? I dont understand why my new computer can find my old one, but not sync correctly...
    Windows XP home 32 on old computer, Windows 7 home 64 on new, but that shouldnt be an issue, right?

    More info: I have tried accessing my secondary computer's library from a laptop as well. My primary computer can use my laptop's library, and vise versa. My secondary computer can use both my primary computer's and laptop's libraries. But neither my laptop or my primary computer can access the library from my secondary computer (which is the one with all my actual music!) Not sure what could be causing this computer's library to not be accessible by any other itunes home sharing devices...

    Hi,
    U should set env. variable LD_LIBRARY_PATH. It is like PATH variable, can be pointed, where the shared libraries are existing.
    I think, this file may be calling some other sahred libraries, existing in some other directories.
    Do these things.
    1. At ur HOME directory, by using find command findout, where are shared libraries are existing.
    find . -name "*.so" -print
    Then u will get the path name
    2. If there is any other paths, add these paths with this env. variable. Using this command u can find out.
    echo $LD_LIBRARY_PATH.
    Pls keep this env. variable in profile file.

  • Shared Library - Not Seeing Videos

    I have iTunes 8.2 running on OS X 10.5.6. There's a pretty sizable music collection that I'm sharing to my network and iTunes on a Windows machine can see it just fine. However, when that Windows machine's iTunes tries to view Movies or TV Shows, the list is empty.
    For testing purposes, I have a small handful of videos in the Movies and TV Shows lists. They're just some avi and mkv files that have been marked as type "MooV" using SetFile and play in QT with the help of Perian.
    Everything works fine locally, but the Windows iTunes instance elsewhere on the network is just getting empty lists for Movies and TV Shows. I tried putting the videos into a custom playlist, and the other instance can see the playlist, but it's empty as well.
    Any thoughts or ideas? I'd really like to use a Mac Mini as a media server with iTunes, and get some AppleTV and AirPort/AirTunes devices to distribute the media throughout my home, but this is one of a few hang-ups currently preventing this from happening

    So i manually set the video to "TV Shows" instead of "home Movies" and now they show up in my apple TV at least.
    However streaming to the iPhone still doesn't work well. As far as streaming goes, it seems to be working fine with the apple TV. iPhone still stops and buffers every few seconds.

  • Sync movie in Shared Library to IPhone

    I can see movies in a shared library (not the ITunes library on this laptop), but can't get those movies to sync to the IPhone. Only the movies on the local laptop are syncing. And when I try to move from the old library to the iphone to the new laptop, then back to the iphone, it doesn't work. Tips? Ideas?

    Figured it out. Duh.

  • Simulation interface toolkit: SUB VI not executable error

    Hi;
    I have a real-time application where I model things in Simulink and use Simulation Interface Toolkit to carry out hardware-in-the-loop simulations. As a real-time target, I am using NI-PXI8106 with NI-PXI6251 DAQ card on it. Up until now, I was able to run my code just fine. However, for some reason, my vi didn't work today and gave several errors such as:
    SubVI NI_SIT_sitclient.Lvlib:RVE.vi: SubVI is not executable
    Details:The SubVI is not executable. You must fix all error in the subVI before this VI can run.
    SubVI NI_SIT_sit Init Model.vi: SubVI is not executable
    Details:The SubVI is not executable. You must fix all error in the subVI before this VI can run.
    This is just few of many error that I received...In the details section of the error list window, the error statement are usually like the following:
    SUBVI not supported for current target..
    Type not supported in the current target...
    The only thing that changed since the last time I ran this program with success is the IP change of the target machine..However, when I use Measurement and Automation tool, I am able to access my target machine (PXI8106) without a problem...Maybe there are some certain rules for IP settings on the PXI target? ...I can provide the details of my new IP configuration numbers if necessary...
    I also  reinstalled the SIT 5.0 on the target machine but It didn't do the trick. I am wondering if there is anyone out there who can help me out with this problem..
    Thank you so much!
    Kind Regards.

    Hi there,
    I was just wondering if you did manage to solve this problem. I'm a new user and have recently started using the Simulation interface toolkit. I have created my model using Simulink and used the real-time workshop to convert it to a .dll file. I tried to run it on labview and it seems to build it on the realtime target, however as soon as map it to the hardware (using a NI BNC-2111,It's just a bunch of analog inputs and output which I have connected to a voltmeter), a dialog box pops up with the the following error:
    Error 1003 occurred during host VI initialization: SIT_test1.vi >> NI_SIT_sitclient.lvlib:sit Init Model.vi >> NI_SIT_sitclient.lvlib:sit Connect to Target.vi
    <append>=========================
    Simulation Interface Toolkit:  The driver VI (SIT_Test_Driver.vi) is not executable.
    Check the following:
    1) You have not modified the driver VI.
    2) You properly installed SIT and any necessary driver software on the target.
    3) The target has not been locked from Measurement and Automation Explorer.
    Do you want to launch the SIT Connection Manager dialog box and reconfigure the simulation?
    Please look at the JPEG picture attached below to see how the error looks on my monitor.
    Thanks

  • What does this mean: ERROR! Shared library ioser12 could not be found.

    Hi all,
    I am trying to establisch a JDBC connection to a MaxDB database (former SapDB).
    I have a win2k system with jdk 1.4.2_01 installed.
    I have the JDBC connection working in the sense that i am able to execute SQL scripts by ant tasks,
    so far i think that everything is properly configured.
    Nevertheless, when i try to use the connection in my own class (a JUnit testcase), i get this message:
    "ERROR! Shared library ioser12 could not be found."
    The program then continues, and i get sql error messages that the user is still connected. I think these are followups from the first one - one testcase may be broken by this error, but the connection is not closed.
    I searched the web to find what i could do against it. I found some forum discussions about this problem and hence i tried to set my path and classpath to locations where the isoser12.dll is located (runtime environment/bin), and finally copied it to the windows/system32 dir.
    Nothing made this error disappear. I am still stuck with this one since two days.
    Btw, the same testcases work well with other databases like oracle or db2.
    Hence, i am calling to you for some ideas about this error.
    Thank you in advance for help,

    Anyone knows where to find this file?

    : Hi Michael,
    : I had the same problems while I'm developing with SUN JDK1.3
    and
    : OCI8.
    : You can download the missing DLL 'ocijdbc8.dll' (packed in the
    : archive 'jdbc815jdk11x-nt.zip') from
    'http://technet.oracle.com/software/tech/java/sqlj_jdbc/software_

    : worry about the header.
    : But now I have another problem:
    : Now java.exe misses another DLL: 'oracore.dll'. Do you have any
    : idea where I can find this one?
    : Best regards
