  • Balance in transaction currency in MIRO

    Hi,
I am doing a MIRO using the PO of the vendor. There is no balance showing up and it is green with 0.00 as the value. The GR amount matches perfectly with the amount entered. There is only one currency being used - USD. Yet, I am getting the error F5702 - Balance in transaction currency.  The tax code matches the one on the PO and it is non taxable. I have tried all options - calculate tax or without it but the error just persists. We are on ECC 6.0
Can anyone tell me what else I need to be checking?
    Thanks a lot!

  • VAT amount to be posted in GBP currency during MIRO UK legal requirement

    hello,
Our UK Company code has EUR as Currency key. This means that for this company code, the local currency is EUR. If it receives and pays invoices in EUR it has also to post the VAT amount in GBP shown by the vendor on his invoice according to UK VAT regulation. We need to be able to set the rate per invoice and not using the automatic one in the table for a fixed rate per month.
Indeed, the VAT guide (VAT700) makes it clear that the suppliers must show the sterling equivalents of the Net and VAT amounts on the VAT invoice. This means that the VAT amount posted will not depend on the exchange rate set up in the system.
In few words, we need the possibility for a EUR company code which receives an invoice in EUR to be able to post the VAT in GBP according to UK legal requirements.
The remaining problem now is to have the exchange rate field open for manual change!
i did go through SAP notes 776105 and 739958
    can anyone help on this
    regards
    venkatprasad

    Hi,
I think you can resolve this by working out the exchange rate used i.e. the GBP VAT amount vs the EUR amount and store that in a document field somewhere i.e. REF KEY3 or similar. Then you would need to grab the exchange rate from the document line and use that in the VAT report (Thinking user exit). The report would then reflect the GBP VAT amount as per invoice. This is not a clean solution but as you probably know the issue is due to the EUR currency being linked to a UK company code. I think in a GBP company code, the EUR invoice would open up a field for the tax exchange rate and the issue would be solved.
Anyway, there is probably a better way of doing the above...I just have not found one yet :-).
    Thanks

  • MIRO currency

    Dear Gurus,
When we are doing our import purchasing our main vendor's currency is a foreign currency while all other sub vendors are in local currency and the document currency is in foreign currency. At the time invoice verification currency is taken from document currency. MIRO currency should be the currency given for the vendor in the PO not the document currency.  Please tell me how to do that.
I have tried this by using screen variant (shd0) but didnu2019t work, it is always replacing from the document currency given in the PO.
    Thanks,
    Chameendri

    Hi Chameendri,
Say your ordering currency is USD and other costs viz. Duties, Freights, Other charges are in INR (your Co.Cd currency)
In the PO header you need to define the exchange rate for INR/USD in Delivery Invoice tab.
At the item level conditions you should enter condition record values in local currencies (For eg-INR) and system will automatically convert the INR into USD and vice versa.
During MIRO when you select the Planned Delivery Costs it will populate the items per vendor with currencies entered in the PO. Before you enter the PO number, you should enter INR in the currency in Basic Data tab in MIRO screen and enter the PO number with proper option. Exchange rate will be as mentioned PO (you can change the exchange rate in MIRO as well)
And you will be able to post the invoice with a local currency.
    Hope it helps
    Regards

  • OSC and foreign currency / euro regulations

    I have the following problem in OSC;
If transactions are in a currency, other than the internal functional currency, TRANSACTION_CURRENCY_CODE and EXCHANGE_RATE are required attributes in the COMM_LINES_API table. (11.0, 11i-versions)
    I'm puzzled by the EXCHANGE_RATE.
    It seems
    a) technical superfluous; the exchange-rates are allready defined in the currency domain.
    b) functional undesirable; how should an external transaction-source know what the functional currency (and thus the right exchange_rate) in OSC is at the moment that the transactions are going to be loaded?
    c) in violation of the euro-regulations, though Oracle claims that applications are supporting all euro-requirements from release 11 and up.
Some of these rules are (don't blame me, I did not invent them):
 Conversion rates may be expressed only as one euro in terms of each national currency.
 Inverse rates derived from the conversion rates cannot be used.
 Monetary amounts to be converted from one national denomination into another shall first be converted to euros and then converted to the other currency.
The first two rules are violated when I load an euro-transaction in my dutch guilders database : I have to put an inverse exchange-rate on the interface.
The last rule is violated when I load a D-Mark transaction in my dutch guilders database; my exchange-rate on the interface is the direct conversion-rate between DM and NLG.
    My basic questions:
    - can anyone explain why OSC needs the EXCHANGE-RATE field in a transaction?
    - Are there other OSC-users in euro-country with the same problem(s)
    - Who within Oracle is the author of the following (copied from the Oracle euro-site) "Oracle Release 11 supports Regulation 235 requirements. Triangulation and rounding rules are fully implemented. Oracle is uniquely qualified to support conversions with precision exceeding EC requirements because Oracle Financials native mode use of the Oracle database engine permits calculations with 38 significant figures. . . ." bla bla etc.
Maybe I can make him or her the owner of this problem. . .
    Regards,
    Remmelt Veenstra

Exchange_rate is a value that we collect from AR or OM. This is the rate that we use to convert to the functional currency.
The exception is a MANUAL trx. In this case, we do the lookup to the GL API's using currency code to establish the appropriate daily rate.
I'm not completely up to speed on the EU adjustments that occur in OM, AR, or legacy sources. In general we are dependent on the values that are available to collect. It makes sense that the conversion to EU should occur in the source system and then we would convert to the functional (GL) currency from there. This should comply with triangulation rules.
If the source system does not convert to EU or if the mapping has not been set up to collect the EU value, there might be an issue. You really have to trace the transaction flows and conversions in the system as a whole.

  • Error in MIRO: M8285 Balance in currency USD currency type &

    Folks,
I'm trying to post MIRO and I'm getting the aforementioned error.
Here's a scenario: We have our account determination and relevant configuration done and it's working fine when we work between a certain sets of countries ( purchasing transaction between US and India are working fine). However when we try to execute the same scenario in some different sets of countries. We're getting this error. The group currency is USD and the currency we're creating our scheduling agreement in us EUR. I changed the currency on MIRO to USD and tried to post it but I'm getting this error at the time of posting MIRO ( It has a green traffic light with the message!!!) but still it won't allow us to post MIRO. We are creating scheduling agreements between a two different countries that has different currencies but same GROUP currency.
The vendors are set up in the home currency and been extended to the purchasing oraganizations of the other countries they're dealing with.
I'm not sure how can we resolve this conflit between the group currency and transaction currency.
Any Heads up on this will be highly appreciated!!

    Hi Ravi,
Thanks for the heads up. Apart from the notes mentioned by you. I've also taken a look at following notes and all of these notes are patched into our environments.
    Note: 758717
    Note: 601607
However my main concern is to find out if it's possible to do a purchasing transaction between two company codes with different local currency. I was told that it's NOT possible but I have a scenario where I've created a scheduling agreement from a US company code and vendor being an Indian vendor and all of the transactions ( MIGO/MIRO) went through absoulutely fine. It's just that whenever we try to execute the same set of transactions for any currency other than USD, we're getting this error (Please bear in mind that our group currency (CO currency) is USD)
I've seen plenty of times that US automotive manufacturers deals with Canadian vendors with the purchasing transactions ( PO etc.) in SAP. I just can't remember how to accomplish this. Any ideas?
    Appreciate your prompt response!
    Cheers,

  • Excise invoice not getting converted into INR from USD for an IMPORT PO

    Hi All
I have posted one Import PO. Did MIRO for custom and CVD. MIRO doc was in USD which is getting converted into INR as per the exchange rate maintained in OB08.
Then I did MIGO with the ref of comm invoice of MIRO. Now MIGO doc is posted in INR as per exchange rate maintained in OB08 for custome duty and Freight and base value.
For Excise invoice , CVD is getting captured but  in excise tab,  base amount is showing in INR  and currency also shows INR which is correct.
Total Basic duty (BED) , Cess and Hecess iamount s coming in USD but curency is showing INR. After posting the doc also it has not getting converted into INR and the same USD amounts got posted in Excise GLs and currency still showing INR.
    For example:--
    PO value shows
    Base Price -  2040.20   USD
    Custome   -     204.20    USD
    CVD         -      179.54    USD
    Cess on CVD      3.59    USD
H Cess on CVd  22.44  USD
Now in excise invoice in Excise item tab
Base value - 99960 INR (converted at teh rate of 49 , exch rate type M)
    BED -   179.54  INR
    CESS  -  3.59  INR
    HECESS 22.44 INR
Here only currency is changed to INR but amounts are still in USD. After posting the doc also same result is coming, hence Registers are getting updated with wrong values.
Can any one suggest what to do to correct this.

Customization for CVD maintained in Excise config -- company code setting-  exchange rate type for CVD is M.
OB08 maintained for USD to INR for the current date.

    HI Tej
All the Import cycle has created three documents.
    1. MIRO doc for custom duties and CVD .--   MIRO posted in USD .  I can see the doc in both currency -  INr and USD via accounting doc - display currency.  I do not have any issue.
    2. MIGO doc - for custom duty and Freight -   MIGO posted in INR , I can see accounting doc in USD and INR both via accounting document-  Display currency and even in the MIGO -- purchase order history tab.
    3. Excise Invoice - for CVD -  EX Invoice posted in diifferent way --
In this document please note amounts for CVD is as per USD rate , but currency showing is INR , which is a mismatch.
in Excise customization for company code setting - exchange rate type M is maintained. OB08 is also maintained for USD/INR
Condition type JCV1 is also marked with currency conversion and accruals.
Is there any patch or note I need to apply to getting this converted , or any process issue.

  • Realized exchange rate difference in local and group currency

    Hi Friends,
For a company code with local currency as Euro and group currency as USD, the setting in TR code OB22 for group currency is: Translation taking first local currency as a basis. When the open items are cleared, SAP posts difference in local currency and group currency. Sometimes, document currency is also group currency i.e. USD. The realized exchange difference is posted in Euro but it is not converted from Euro to group currency. Instead, system just calculates difference in group currency by comparing the value in group currency at the time of original transaction and when the transaction is cleared. Does anyone have dealt with such requirement and is there a way to be able to translate realized exchange differences from local to group currency?
    Thanks and regards,
    Pinky

    >Sometimes, document currency is also group currency i.e. USD.
Can you explain, it's because of your settings or because of SAP?

  • Customer master currency issue

When I try load  customer master from LSMW program and I am getting the
Currency "ITL" is expiring; from 06/30/2002, use currency "EUR". Could anyone help me out this problem.

    Hi,
this is a business question to be answered by functional consultant. Italy uses EURO currency only. Possibly you can extend the validity of ITL after 06/30/2002 to avoid the error. Better way is to convert to EURO before load of data.

  • Currency Conversion Problem

    Hi frndz,
I am facing a problem with the currency conversion.
In my Report i have used two keyfgures.
One is directly calculating the values from R/3 side and converting into EURO.
the other one is calculating through update rule.
These teo keyfigures should have the same value.
In this update rule i have used one function module "Convert into foreign currency".
This function module is calculating the value correct for all other currency only in Korean(KRW)currency i am getting probelm.
Like R/3 side value converting in EURO in coming as
    507.35
and through function module value is coming as 50,736.00.
Please if any one having this problem or any one could suggest some solution then it would be great help.
I have also tried the solution of deleting the values from SPRO but still the problem is there.
    Thanks in advance

    Revab,
The admin may delete the record for KRW from TCURX table.
BUT, it may affect the other applications. It should be carefully considered.
Though, after deletion end users may check if theirs applications results with regard to KRW have been changed.
If yes, then the record in TCURX may be added again.
If not, then it might be a solution. Though, not recommended.
    Best regards,
    Eugene
