Current page ! = Page submitted

We are trying to put a condition on a process on a page so that it fires when you first hit the page, but not when redirecting to itself (such as changing drop down lists).
We think the appropriate condition is "Current Page != Page Submitted". However if we select this option, and put the page number in the "Expression 1" field the process continues to occur whenever the page is submitted. Does anyone have an example or suggestion that might be useful?

I thought this might be a solution to my problem...but I might be wrong as it seems that it does not work as I expected it to !
I have got a "two level tab" page with some reports and charts that are being generated. I got also some parameters for these reports and charts (e.g. date parameter) and I got some validations for these parameters, which work as long as I submit this page via a "go" button for example, so that the report and the chart respectively are not being shown if the validiation fails.
But if I set these parameters that way (validation fails) and I change to a different page (via the 2nd level tabs for example) and then change back via these tabs, the validations do not fire and the reports/charts are being shown, referencing the wrong values of the parameters.
First I tried to set the "condition" for the report/chart regions to show only for specific "Request"-Values (e.g. "Go" for the go-button), but this solution does not work as you stated in a different thread.
Have you got a (simple) solution for that issue Scott !?

Printing current selected pages

i was wondering - it there a way to print the currently selected pages in indesign //like we can do in acrobat//? its not very sexy to manually type in all the pages you want to output and writing a pdf file to select and print the pages in acrobat cant be the only way //having a 100+ pages and printing like 15 of them//

Pages 5.0 - Status bar current page & page count?

How do I show the status bar showing current page and page count? I do not need to see the full thumbnail bar.
In all prior versions of pages, I could look at the bottom of my window and see my current page and how many pages are in my document. Now, I glance to the bottom, and I have no idea. I cannot find any way to turn this on and turning on the thumbnails view does not show this to me at-a-glance because I have to scroll all the way down (through documents hundreds of pages long) to find out how many pages I currently have.
Please, what am I missing here, how can I make this show up again?
I mean a quick display here, not adding the page count and numbers to a documents footer. Although, that would be one way for me to solve this issue, but I do not always want that.

I wrote a short AppleScript solution that informs about the current document page as a pop-up dialog. This is for Pages v5+ only. I created and saved an Automator Application named CurrentPage to my Desktop. Providing that Pages is running, it will produce the dialog shown in subsequent Automator screen shot.
Double-click /Applications/Automator and choose New Document, Application, and Choose. Follow the Utilities > Run AppleScript (not Shell Script as shown), and drag Run AppleScript over into the larger window and drop it. Select all of its contents and remove them -- this is just boilerplate.
Copy and paste the following AppleScript into the now vacant Run AppleScript workflow window. Click the hammer, and File > Save... pick a name, and location to save the application where it is handy. Quit Automator.

Detecting the current tab page

Hello All,
I am working on a task for our current project which requires that I correctly identify the
current tab page selected on the user's page.
Toward that, I was passed some information about the function:

The success of this task depends on having a reliable way to determine which tab page is
currently selected/viewable.
Is there another / better method for accomplishing this?
Any help would be most appreciated.

That isn't a supported API yet. I'm not aware of any current functionality that will allow you to find the current tab.

URL of the current portal page loaded using Javascript ?

I am trying to add programmatically the url of the current
page loaded in the portal to the 'Favorites List'. There
is a pre-built KM iview to store your 'favorites'.
I can extract and write to this 'favorites' using KM java
API. But only challenge is to extract the current loaded

Basically, what this does is that everytime a page loads, the innerpage, where the content is, raises an event using the EPCM.raiseEvent() method. EPCM.subscribeEvent subscribes to an event called AddNavTargetAllowDuplicate which has an object holding the page information (i.e. page title and URL (ROLE://...)). Everytime that it notices an event raised, the function getPageObject gets called to go get data from the event object that is available globally in the framework.
You should be able to put this code anywhere in any iview and it should work. Thou i have only tried putting it in the masthead. Try and if you still have questions please let me know.

    I fixed the problem! I un-installed two different adobe programs (the current ver.11 and an old ver. 5, which I think caused the problems), went to the registry and removed all folders pertaining to the adobe programs, and decided to re-install the current version (ver.11) for a clean install. This seams to do the trick. Thank you for your concern. By the way it was Internet Explorer, running Windows XP and the Adobe versions were 11 and 5.
    Problem: An old page from April 21st kept showing up instead of a current updated webpage. It wouldn't update to the current page. My solution fixed it.

The variable :SYSTEM.TAB_NEW_PAGE could be used if the name of the tab page is unknown.

"Tab Also Current for Pages" is automatically cleared when reusing page

I'd want to reuse a page, and include it in the "Tab Also Current for Pages" list of 2 standard tabs, that are displayed conditionally. But when I include it in the second tab, it is automatically cleared in the first. This only happens in the detail Tab edit screen, in the multi tab edit screen the pagenrs are not cleared. So I can achieve what I want, but for future maintanance this is very risky.
Is there any way to avoid this?

I didn't mean to say that there wasn't a case for a page being associated to more than one tab -- quite the opposite! More than once I wished that could be done...
But the fact is that currently in Apex we have:
- A tabular form that allows you associate the same page to multiple tabs (and worth mentioning, allows you to enter anything in the Also Current Pages column, not only a list of page numbers!)
- A form that doesn't allow you to do so, and validates if you entered a list of valid numbers in the Tab Also Current For Pages field.
Something needs fixing, and in my experience with Apex the forms I've seen seem to be much more strict in terms of validations than tabular forms for a number of reasons.
I am guessing that the form is the correct one and implements the intended rules. If that is true, the potential bug in the tabular form may be fixed in the future and the OP won't be able to maintain his applications that used this hack anymore.
Or maybe not, maybe the bug is in the form. But I would seek clarification on this before going down this route...

Is there any way to do that?

you can't currently reference page aliases in those Tab Current for Page(s) fields on the "Edit Standard Tab" screen. that's a good suggestion, though... so thanks. i'll log it in a bit.

How can I achieve to another PC's firefox current loading page, if that PC is already unable to use/activiate anymore?

My PC do not operate/works anymore. I am intending to donate it to others, but reserving the hard-disk(in which all data still in).And I am retrieving the data to the hard-disk via an USB cable. How can I get the current loading pages, as well as other bookmarks, plug-ins in this PC hard-disk? I can only load the data by MY COMPUTER. Where can I locate the above-mentioned material in the specific folder?

Note that if you give the PC to someone else with this same hard drive that you should do a secure wipe to overwrite all data stored on this drive securely. 
Deleting files is not enough as you only need to use an undelete utility (e.g. Recuva) to recover all data.

Last option of radiogroup does not remain selected after page is submitted

I have a radiogroup (with submit) page item (P1_Select) that has four entries based on the following LOV:

<a href="http://URL3">My Third URL</a>;3,
<a href="http://URL4">My Fourth URL</a>;4The first three work as I think they should work - the page is submitted and redirected to itself with an unconditional branch. The value of P1_Select is updated in session state. Additionally, I display regions based on the selection of the radiogroup. They URLs in the LOV allow the user to go directly to the new page without viewing the text that I'm displaying in the conditional regions.
When the Fourth option is selected, the value of P1_Select is set to '4' which is correct and the correct region is displayed. The problem is that the radio button for that option is cleared. This only happens on the last option. If I add a fifth option, then the fourth works but not the fifth. So the value is there, but not the darkened selection button and only in the last selection.
Does anyone have any suggestions on how I can keep the last option selected?

Thanks but that makes selections 1 - 3 act the same way as the fourth.
(just something I noticed... if I use the GUI to edit the static list, the display and return values are not completely pre-populated with the STATIC2 code that I inserted. There is just this in the first return value field: <a href="http).

So you're saying that whatever you use to output the <pre> tag, it's escaping it into <pre> because it thinks it's supposed to be text and not markup? Then use that thing differently. It's hard to say more without seeing the code you're using.
