Curser running to end of list

Hi
Every so often regardless of what app I am running the curser will just scroll to the end of whatever I m looking at. For example in Outlook it will move to the last e-mail in the inbox; in excel it runs to the last cell. No amount of trying can get it to
go to where I want and the only resolution is to power off and restart.
Anyone else seen this and have a solution?

Regarding this issue,I may need a few more information to understand the issue better.
1.Do you use desktop or laptop?
2.Did you make any changes on the computer before the issue happen?
3.Did you install some third-party software related to mouse?
Meanwhile, I think we need to do some test to narrow down it.
1.I suggest we try the clean boot mode and safe mode to test if we can get rid of this problem.

Hi, Experts,
I encountered a very strange behavior of Bex tool. Sometimes, Initial execution of a workbook/query runs without ending at u2018Waiting for reply from BW Serveru2019 state, then I cancel the report and run it again and it would return results within minutes. Itu2019s like it forgot to return results.
The basis team looked at the queries in the database, and said that there were actually a number of different queries being executed by my Bex query, but each individual query runs fairly quickly. The basis person pulled the statements out and ran them directly against the database and they returned result in sub seconds.
Any thoughts? Possible solution?

Could u let us know what is the GUI frontend patch version you are on. Also, are there any AddOn's Installed.
What version of Excel are you using. Also just for a check, run sapbexc.xla on your local machine and check the output.

The TOP-OF-LIST and END-OF-LIST events are not triggered in spool

Hi Everyone,
I am displaying a block list ALV where when using "REUSE_ALV_BLOCK_LIST_APPEND", I have populated the events with TOP-OF-LIST and END-OF-LIST. The ALV is displaying perfectly with the top-of-list and end-of-list.
I have created a button in the toolbar using the USER COMMAND which when clicked will generate a PDF file with my output result. In the subroutine for USER COMMAND , I have put the print parameters using "GET_PRINT_PARAMETERS". Then I have again called "REUSE_ALV_BLOCK_LIST_DISPLAY" with is_print parameter in order to generate the spool no. Then I am using "CONVERT_ABAPSPOOLJOB_2_PDF" to convert the spool to pdf.
The problem that I am facing is that the spool is generated without the TOP-OF-LIST and END-OF-LIST. I cannot see the lines written in TOP-OF-LIST and END-OF-LIST in the spool.
Also the font-size is reduced very much in the pdf.
Please suggest me some solution if possible.

How can i print after end of list in alv.
I have a list with columns like
empcode(100),name(abc),gender(male),share(1)
empcode(101),name(bcd),gender(male),share(1)
empcode(102),name(eef),gender(female),share(1)
empcode(102),name(ghi),gender(female),share(1)
Total share = 4.
I want to display male share 2 and female share 2
Plz tell me on this.

use end-of-list event to call a form in your program dynamically:

Use
type-pools:
slis.
declare an event table type slis_t_event
append a record with
<event>-name = 'END_OF_LIST'.
<event>-form = 'ALV_END_OF_LIST'.
Then you have a FORM ALV_END_OF_LIST in your program. It is calle after list output. Here you can write whatever you want - i.a. gender share.

Can anybody tell me what end of list tones are and what they do.

Ive just figured out what they are
If you have your keypad tones on and end of list tones on whenever you are going through a menu and get to the end/bottom of the menu if you go one further the phone changes the tone of the beep of the keypad to sound an end of list tone. Its VERY feint even on the loudest kepad tones but it will be there.
The end of list tone doesnt sound if you turn your keypad tones off even with end of list tones on.

Run out of library space on screen. Cant see tunes at end of list

Ipod classic can hold over 20,000 tunes I currently have only about 2800 but now when I download to my Itunes library, the last several songs cannot be seen on the list on laptop screen.
If the new tune downloads into the correct place in the alphabet that's fine I can put on relevant info and artwork, but if for example the tune is track 1 it will go to the very bottom of the list and then I would normally click onto it and get the correct info so it goes into the right place in the list.
But now I can't get to the bottom of the list to adjust the tune info.
I was told it sounded like the screen was frozen and told to uninstall all the Apple merchandise then reinstall. That didn't work, the screen isn't frozen, the scroll bar disappears 'under' the bottom toolbar, and it's like I've been writing in a book and I've run out of lines to write any further
Sorry this sounds complicated, but not being tech minded it's not easy for me to explain it shorter or better!!!
Has anybody had this problem and how did you resolve it?

1. You can set your Aperture library on any drive and
in any folder. My advice would be to NOT put it on an
external drive (usually much slower and if you forget
to power it on, Aperture has a habit of resetting
itself to point at the Pictures folder).
2. Open up Aperture. from the Menu line, click
Aperture/Preferences. Use the "Choose" button to set
a new location (in a Folder or New Folder of your
choosing on your 2nd internal drive sounds like your
choice). Remember to press "Select" to select your
new location. Then close out of the dialogs.
3. Close Aperture.
4. In Finder, move or copy your Aperture Library from
your prime/Pictures folder to your chosen destination
location folder on the second drive. NOTE: Aperture
will have created a small library there (around 150kb
+/-), so you'll get a warning that you're about to
replace a newer file.
5. Relaunch Aperture and your good to go.
6. Now you can delete your original prime/Pictures
Aperture Library if you did a file copy.
Between step 4 and 5 will be a period of time for the files to copy to the new drive.
I have this set up w/ my vault on an external drive which I update about once a week.
This set up also allows you to backup your boot drive seperately from your Aperture library.

How to run a query to list all "Missing Files"?

Not sure what happened, but I ended up with a ton of duplicate images on PSE8 Organizer. I have scrolled through and question mark icons have displayed for missing files.
I would now like to run some sort of query or report that will list/display ONLY those thumbnails/files that are "Missing Files". How do I do that?

There is a command line tool available that will do this. I had the same issue looking for "offline" photos. You can get it here: http://johnrellis.com/psedbtool/
Use the command with a switch to do a file dump: psedbtool -csv mypics
That will create a csv file called mypics. It will have information on every photo including status (online, offline, missing). Easiest to open it in excel and quickly filter or search. I wasted a bunch of time trying to find this inside the Elements product. Thanks to johnrellis.com! Good luck.

Run Procedure From A List Item

I am using Apex 3.2
I have created a list of the shared components, which I will be using as a menu on my Home page.
Is it possible to fire a procedure, once a certain item on the list is clicked. I do not want to put the process on the page that the list directs to, as I only want the procedure to run if they have come from the Home page and not any other page.
Any ideas appreciated.

Hi Gus,
I'm not sure about adding to a list item, but you could create an application item and a couple of application processes that may be able to do that.
First, create an Application Item called G_LAST_PAGE
Second, create an Application Process that runs "On Load: Before Header (page template header)" that is a PL/SQL Anonymous Block of whatever your code needs to be. Make this conditional on "Value of Item in Expression 1 = Expression 2" and enter G_LAST_PAGE into Expression 1 and enter 1 into Expressioin 2.
Then create a second Application Process that has a higher sequence number than the first one. This should run "On Load: ..." and should be a PL/SQL Anonymous Block of:
BEGIN
:G_LAST_PAGE := :APP_PAGE_ID;
END;This should be unconditional
As the user moves from page to page (using your list item menu or by changing the URL or via links/branches), the value of G_LAST_PAGE gets updated. But before the update happens, the first process checks the value of G_LAST_PAGE - if it is 1 (ie, the user has just left page 1), then the process fires. Otherwise, it just proceeds to update G_LAST_PAGE with the page they are are now on.

Long running reports end successfully - present s "page can not be found"

Long running reports and browser timeouts - page can not be found"
We are launching Oracle 9i Reports from a Portal 9ias (release 9.0.2.2) system. We are in production with about 100 users. It is not going well with respect to Report problems.
We have the following problems:
1) hanging reports,
2) reports where parameter screens will not present due to large LOV on parameter screen,
3) and the most aggravating problem is "Page can not be found" presented to user when in fact the report ran successfully and create a .pdf.
We are at our wits end with Oracle Support and the Oracle Portal and Reports product.
As I said, I am launching Oracle Reports 9i from a Portal 9.0.2.2 application. I have several long running reports that complete successfully but return to the user an error "Page can not be found". Meta-link Note: 189454.1 suggests a modification to ReceiveTimeout parameter in the pc registry. We set the ReceiveTimeout parameter to 7200000. This did not solve the problem. Users still receive "Page can not be found".
Is there a report server side setting that we must set also ... or some other setting we should check?
I need to solve this issue. Is there someone out there that can help? Are there other people having similar Oracle Reports issues? According to Oracle Support we are the only people with these issues. Are we?

1) If you can reproduce the Reports Hanging issue consistently you can push Oracle Support to file a bug.
2) I am not sure about this now, but again you can take this to Oracle Support and push for resolution.
3) There are some problems with IE - Adobe integration. This is not a Reports bug. You can try
(a) Switching off Adobe - web integration in Adobe Acrobat reader settings, so that Adobe will not automatically open pdf file in web. Instead a dialog will be shown as to which application to open the pdf file or save it to disk and user can save the file to disk and open.
(b) Use IE latest version. (or some other browser like Netscape )
[ You can roll back the ReceiveTimeout param change you made to see the impacts one at a time ]
1) To confirm that this is a Adobe - IE pdf problem run the same report to htmlcss, rtf. If these come fine, then we can ascertain that this is Adobe - IE issue.
2) Give http://host:port/reports/rwservlet/showjobs?server=server_name. You can see all the jobs and their jobids. For the concerned jobs you can click and see whether output is actually generated or not.

End of list in alv help

hello experts,
i want to display the following format in the end of the list of the ALV. the report actually has a grid structure and a list header , and now i want to add the following to the end of the list.
bed pecess she cess
opening balance
credit from manufacturer
credit from dealer
credit from import
total credit available
debit
closing balance
The major problem here is the alignment.
pls kindly help me if there are key words that can used for the aligning in the end-of-the-list.
so far i have used the ***-typ and ***-info to display but i am not able to achieve what was required.
And i want to know how to add the variables for eg: in the table above i have three variables to fill each row , but how do i achieve it. plz kindly help me if possible with some sample codes.

SPD 2010 - ID Column moves to end of List in DataSheet View

Randomly, the ID column will move from the first column to the last column when you access DataSheet view.
In Standard View it is still column 1....
We are using this ID Column:
ID# (linked to item with edit menu)
Other times this ID Column will add itself to the DataSheet View, but not the Standard View:
ID#
This is frustrating my users to NO end having to drag the column back to the first place.
Any help is GREATLY appreciated!~

Let's verify the followings:
How did you create the ID# column? I am wondering whether you changed the Name of "Title" to "ID#". If not, please give the steps to create the column.
You mean that the ID# column is changed from the first position to the last one in Datasheet view, is it right? Do other columns have this issue?
Do other lists have this issue?
To narrow down this issue, please do:
Create another column which has same type with ID#, test again, compare the result.
Create a new list, and add a same column with ID#, then test in the new list, compare the result.

Selecting tunes from initial to end of list...how

How do you select from a certain tune in the list of music to the end of the list? I am currently clicking on the initial tune, holding down shift and using the down arrow key. I don't see how to click on initial and 'jump' to end selecting them from initial to end.

Yes, I understand that.
In windows, you can click on a row, then shift end (I think from memory) and it selects everything to the last row (no manual scrolling needed)
Is that possible in mac?

LMS 4.2.4 - report check "end host" list

Hi All,
     I have a list of 26 "end host" identify by mac-address. I would like to generate every day a report to check that these devices exist on the network.
     If you can help me about this task? do i have to use "user tracking" ?
     Just for precision ...it is not "network device" but "end host" devices (PCs)

Posting Run Month end accruals error

Hi Guys,
after running the payroll driver on test mode for period 26 2009...when I look at the log file...I get an error that the employee has been rejected...and the maximum number of search runs exceeded under Month end accruals...

The error message "Maximum number of search runs exceeded" occurs in
function UACGF, which is for the Month End Accruals calculations.
Below, I've updated information which explains the Month End Accruals
process, calculations and required table entries:
1. Tables T549S and T51A1:
The T549S table needs 3 dates specified for each pay id. Those 3
dates and their respective Date IDs are:
01 = pay date
04 = posting run
05 = ACC: Earliest Doc. creation date
To check if these entries have been made, please go to sm31 and view
if the entries have been made for the year for example: 2002
(you should also check consistency of future entries as well!)
You can create the entries via the IMG paths specified below for the
respective Date IDs (if you have not already done so).
NOTE: The tables are only changed if a flag has been set for the field
'Carry out table change'. If no flag is set, a test run is performed.
01 = pay date
    IMG -> Payroll US -> Basic Settings -> Payroll Organization
        -> Generate Payroll Period
           You can view the documenation on this step by doubleclicking
           the title of the step. (NOTE: first change your Text Display
           by going to 'Utilities - Text Display - SAPscript)
           For further explanation - click 'Report Documentation'
04 = posting run
    IMG -> Payroll US -> Month end accruals -> Triggering Month End
        Accrual computation -> Maintain Posting Date
         -Create      ('Info' icon provides explanation of how to run.)
05 = ACC: Earliest Doc. creation date
    IMG -> Payroll US -> Month end accruals -> Triggering Month End
        Accrual computation -> Set latest earliest document creation
         date
For T51A1 - Final date for HR Postings (Accruals):
This date determines the final date on which postings may be effected
from HR for each posting period. I would advise you to set this up
for each company code and each accounting period of 2001. For more
info, please select F1 in the fields that you are unsure of.
You can maintain these dates via the path:
   IMG -> Payroll US -> Month end accruals -> Triggering Month End
        Accrual computation ->
2. Explanation of Month End Accruals:
First of all there is a switch to say in general if accruals are to be
computed for an employee or not. This switch is called ACCMO and
is set to 'ON' (1) in rule UAC0. Unfortuately this rule is deactivated
in your development system so that accruals are not calculated.
If this switch is set to 'ON', the system first tries to find out if it
has to calculate accruals and for which periods this is to be done.
If you have a payroll period which overlaps two posting periods, you
will have accruals for this period.
Generally the system can calculate accruals according to exact/current
values and or the system can estimate the accruals. The system always
tries to be as exact as possible which means it always tries to use
current values.
So: How does the system decide if for one period current values can be
taken or if an estimation has to be done?
If you need to post accruals for a payroll period because it overlaps
two posting periods, you have to post to both posting periods. So you
have to make sure, that you are still able to post to both posting
periods when the posting for the payroll period is done. This means the
system has to check that the LDCD (Latest earliest document creation
date) of the payroll period is earlier than the closing date of both
posting periods concerned. Often one posting period is already closed
which means that it is no longer possible to post accruals to this
posting period when the overlapping payroll period is calculated. This
means the system has to estimate values for this overlapping payroll
period before. In other words, the system calculates accruals for a
payroll period in the last payroll period with a LDCD which is is
earlier than the closing date of the overlapped posting periods.
Thus during payroll, the system checks for the current and for the
following payroll periods if things have already been done (because now
it is too late), if things have to be done now (because when the next
payroll period is calculated it will be too late) or if it will be
possible to post accruals after the next payroll period.
