Custom Date Ranges

Okay, so I'm using the Categories functionality in Numbers to create a list based on dates. In other words, I have a list in which Numbers is automatically creating categories based on the date entered in the list. The only question I have is that Numbers creates the category breakdowns based on specific durations (weeks, months, years, etc.), I have weeks selected. Does anyone know how to select the start/end dates for weeks? For example, it will use the title "2012-W35" and will categorize all the dates in Week 35 under that heading. I would like to specify W36 to start on Monday and end on Sunday. Is that possible?

Hi Cornelius,
I'm not a particularly enthusiastic Categories user, but I can certainly see how they would be useful.
In this case, I suppose that you could add a column to calculate the week number that way you want and categorize on that column. Let's say that your dates are in Column A. The expression to calculate the week number of a date, with Monday being the first day of the week, would be:
=WEEKNUM(A, 2)
You would copy the formula to your week number column.

  • No Data in Reports Details in Custom date range

Hello, iTunes U Public Site Manager Admins.
As the iTunes U Public Site Manager admin, I've been trying to access our institution's iTunes U Reports Details for a couple of days. (I send a monthly report of usage to our course/collection contributors.) When I custom the date range, under Details, there is zero entry; "No data available in table" message is shown.
This feature had been working well since Apple iTunes U added this enhancement on August 13, 2013. The report Details showed the exact stats for Browse, Subscribe, Download, Stream, and Enclosure for each course/collection in the custom date range.
Now under "Details", the data is shown only when the date range is Last 30 Days. It shows no data in custom date range when the Calendar is used to select a Start Date and End Date.
Has anyone else noticed this problem?
    Thanks.
    Q. Wang

    Erik.
I used your suggestion and it worked very well. This is how I did it.
Export the range of data that includes Feb. 1-Feb. 28, 2014 as .tsv file.
    Open that file in Excel.
Add a blank column next to the Date column. Use function =Month() to just extract the month into the new column. Fill down the whole column. Then copy and paste special (value) into the same column (I have over 26,000 rows of data in the file.) Converting to Value will allow for the next step of PivotTable.
Create a PivotTable for the 26,000 rows of data. Use Month as the Report filter, iTunes_ID as the Row Labels, Select Browse, Subscribe, etc. as the Sum Values. (The result is a summary table with about 200 rows.)
I then do a Vlookup to my premade Master file to add Category (course, collection, resources) and Instructor Name to each of the 200 rows.
That will do it for my monthly report.
Thanks for your tip again. I did not know the .tsv file would have DATE for each item.
    Sincerely,
    Q. Wang

  • Where are the facilities to add custom date ranges, indexable by Spotlight

The Finder is meant to be just that... A way to find files right?
Well lets look at a simple business scenario. I get a bill from a supplier, I pay the bill, I receive an invoice, I process the invoice through my accounting package. Now with paperless offices these days bills and invoices come electronically or are scanned electronically.
While iTunes mp3s are able to be categorised by custom date ranges such as when the album was released why cant I find files based on custom date ranges such as "Date Paid", "Date Due", "Date Received". I cant find any solution for this anywhere. There are many file tagging systems out there such as Yep and Tags which are meant to be using OpenMeta... But all they enable you to do is tag them by commonly used key words such as "Invoice" or "Bill". What if I want a custom field to put an Invoice number so that I can track it down using spotlight?
This would enable me to completely manage my office files in one clean sweep. I cant be the only one out there would would find this solution useful... Is it the case that spotlight/finder is designed in such a way that it is not possible to add custom date meta data?

    {quote}
What if I want a custom field to put an Invoice number so that I can track it down using spotlight?
Why wouldn't you just type in the Invoice number and have spotlight find it for you? Spotlight indexes all of the text in most type of documents. In my case, I use some Excel spreadsheets, with unique invoice numbers. I type in the number and Spotlight shows the document.
I can also type in the clients name and be shown a list of all the documents, emails, etc to or from or that mention that client. Included in the list of documents is every invoice that has that clients name in the text of the document.
If I'm looking for a particular invoice and know the clients name I type it and also something about the particular invoice that I'm looking for (like "John Smith video card") and that invoice shows up in the search.
If I'm looking for an invoice for a certain person during a certain year I just type: John Smith 2010 and those documents show up in the list at the top.

  • Automator custom date ranges

Does anyone know if the "Find finder item" function in automator will allow me to find all files within a time range that is subject to change? I would like to use automator to find all files created "since last week" or "since three days ago". I am not talking about a specific date, my idea is that using an ical alarm, every night it will look for files older than one week or some other time period and delete them so my eyetv folder doesn't get too huge. The function of "before" only lets me enter a specific date not "today minus three days"

  • Support date range and as of date in Universe

    Hi,
I have some questions on Universe design best practices. Can you please help ?
We are using BO4 SP7 and UDT for universe design.
Little bit on our schema: snow flake schema with multiple fact tables. Most of our table are 'Pure Type 6' dimension tables in which start date and end date are used to track historical data.  We also have date dimension table. We want to support both 'As of date' and custom 'date range' type reporting.
Out typical use cases are like
    1. All items As of date
    2. All items between dates etc.
How can we model it in the Universe ?
    1. We can not join every dimension with date_d dimension. So we have decided to put default conditions at Folder level. Our typical date conditions as below.
    date_d.end_full_date_utc  between  diminetion1_d.start_date AND diminetion1_d.end_date
But problem is, table condition are not always applied. If we have A, B and C folders and if I create report by using objects from A and C then non of the condition applied to B appears in the query. This is problem for us.
    2. Other approach we thought is to define start and end prompt and define a restriction condition  for each and every table.
          diminetion1_d.start_date > [start_date_prompt] AND diminetion1_d.end_date < [end_date_prompt]
We thought it will be too munch work as we have more than 150 tables and also 2 prompts will always appear, even of as of date, which may not look good.
    3. Is there a way apply to apply these date conditions at the individual table level so that they will appear in Query when ever the table is involved in the join path ?
    3. What is the best way to handle this kind of requirements, please suggest ?
    Thanks

  • Need to create a report to show values for a particular date range

I have to create a report, out of which I need two columns : << Customer Value Variance and Churn Score Variance >> to show values only for a custom date range, which will be entered via a dashboard prompt.
These generic date columns are not present and cannot be added. I have to make use of Pres variables
What I have currently done is:
    1) Created a prompt with 2 different date columns and passing those values into variables vStartDate and vEndDate. (I don't actually need those 2 column which I have selelcted, but I have taken those so that I can prompt the values in calendar format and pass onto the variables)
    2) Created report with necessary columns, with 2 extra columns (hidden) as vStart Date Column and vEnd Date Column which take the values from the presentation variables defined in the prompt. I have created these columns as then I can reference these in the two required columns if necessary.
I am already facing error in report after doing this and I am confused how to proceed. Any suggestions?
    Thanks.

Yes, but it only has one generic Date column, no start date and end date. I can't use that twice in the prompt. Although I can specify it to be 'between', but I'm not sure I can pass values to both variables like that.
Currently I have used Campaign Start Date and Campaign End Date to enter values in calender format to the variables.

    Dear All,
Please can you tell me how to print the posting date range selected in the parameter selection for Customer Receivable Ageing Report PLD.

    Dear Rahul,
I know that but it is really painful to develop the whole report in crystal where it is available in SAP itself. Imagine just for one requirement i will have to build the whole report in crystal. I think SAP should give flexibility to change the hard coded reports.

Could you please suggest me is there any developed  standard report or t-cod eis available  with which i can get date range where the daily customer receipt profit centre wise can be obtained............
    Thanks in Advance........
    Santosh Gupta...

    Hi:
For this purpose you can develop Z report. There is no such standard report for it. Copy FBL5N to make a Z copy of it and use the table FAGLFLEXA for each document posted in BSEG/BKPF. You can also make use of BTE 1650.

suppose user enters 9/1/2010 to 9/15/2010 and we have to calculate currency conversion based on last day i..e 9/15/2010 . 08
2)User input is date range 08/01/2010 to 08/30/2010
I need from the customer exit 08/30/2010 (on last day) to calculate currency conversion.
Can anyone help me with ABAP code to achieve this customer exit? And please tell me how to proceed step by step
    Sridhar

create a variable to enter date range (ZDATE1)
create a key date variable(ZDATE2) with processing type customer exit, should not be ready for input.
In the exit ZXRSRU01 write below code.
    DATA: l_s_range TYPE rsr_s_rangesid,
          loc_var_range LIKE rrrangeexit.
    WHEN 'ZDATE2'.
        IF i_step = 2.

            CLEAR l_s_range.
            l_s_range-low = loc_var_range-high.
            l_s_range-sign = 'I'.

  • Customer Master data creation with customized number range

    Dear all,
Can somebody know how to create the customized number range for customers like first 2 digits represents Sales organization and next 2 digit should represent circle, next 2 distribution chaneel and last 4 digits shold be the running number.
    Looking for solution..
    Thanks & Regards,
    Murali.

    Hi,
In your case you need to define as following
    Step No: 01.
    01.Sales Orgination with 0001 to 0099.
    02.Regions with 00 to 99.
    03.Distribustion Channel with 00 to 99
    Step No:02.
Define PDP with the diffrent account groups defined for diffrent Sales Org, Regions & DC's.
    Step : No: 03.
As per the above configs go to TCode for Number range for accounts groups in  XDN1. Say Example as
XX--- From:1010100000 to: 1010109999. Note the possiable numbers are 0000 to 9999 only.
    10 is sales Org, 10 is Region & 10 is DC's.
This is one of the way to do. The other way is to develo Z table and to use the user exit / new progarme to identify the requried number range with reference to Sales Org, Regions & DC's
Hope this is fine with your requrment.
    Bye & enjoy SAP.

  • Report for a date range

    Hi,
My end user requires me to develop a report that will accept the following parameters:
    Customer Code : ABC
    From Period : 01-Jan-2005
    To Period : 31-Dec-2010
Output must be as follows :
    Customer Jan-05 Feb-05 Mar-05 Apr-05 May-05 ......................................Dec-10 Total Order
    Code
    ABC 10 15 5 20 10 ...................................... 15 X value
I have told my end user that it is not possible to create an Oracle report that will give data for any period range that the user specifies. First the number of columns for the date range must be fixed like say at a time only data for 12 months will be displayed in the report. Then they can run the report for any year and the parameter has to be
    Customer Code : ABC
    Year :2005
    The output will be :
    Customer Jan-05 Feb-05 Mar-05 Apr-05 May-05 ......................................Dec-05 Total Order
    Code
    ABC 10 15 5 20 10 ...................................... 15 X value
Am I right or wrong ? Please advise. This is very urgent.

I don't see why this should not be possible.
Remember that you can have repeating frames in every direction (ie. right and down) and can combine these.
What I would do is look for (or create) a type of calender-table where I could select the date values from (ie. JAN 05) qualified by the from- and to-Parameters (aka query1),
then have a second, dependent query which uses the date from the calender (aka query2).
Then stack a down repeating frame for query2 into the right repeating frame for query1 and you should be almost there... Use the date from query1 as heading...
    Cheers,

  • VL10h - 1 month default delivery date range

    Dear Sirs,
I am using VL10h to create deliveries from Sales Order. But, The default date range it takes is only 1 month. Would you please suggest me to increase the date range?
The message I am getting is-
Latest deliv. creation date (04.12.2009) further in future than allowed (30 days)
    Message no. V50R014
    Diagnosis
Maximum future delivery time frame was exceeded.
    System Response
In your system, the maximum delivery creation time frame is limited to 30 days in the future. However, you want to deliver until 04.12.2009, which the system does not allow.
    Procedure
Choose a smaller interval for delivery.
    Procedure for System Administration
You can set the number of days in the future the delivery is limited to in Customizing in Create deliveries profiles 0101, which is assigned to the current list profile "Sales Order and Purchase Order Items".
    regards,
    rahul

    Dear Rahul
To avoid the error message V50R014 you have to change the value of the
field "Maximum delivery period in the future"  (transaction VL10CUC).  Alternatively, maintain the delivery creation profile in transaction VL10H for the field "Maximum delivery period in the future".
    Hope this helps.

  • CURRENT YEAR SALES DATE PARAMATER AND PRIOR YEAR SAME DATE RANGE

I am pulling data from a SQL view dbo.view that has current and historical SOP data by line.  The date paramater is a date range,  uppr date and lower date formulas are in the report.  I need to include prior year SOP data for the same prior year date range in the detail.  I have tried adding the view in twice with no luck, just duplications.  Ultimately I want to supress the detail and only show the totals by customer so it is comparitive.  Thanks for your help.  Jayne

    OK
    lets simplify it
get a test data source with some simple dates in it.
    get the report logic working.
it looks like you have the right formula ideas but lets go for
    @upperthisyear
    @upperlastyear
    @lowerthisyear
    @lowerlastyear
    then assuming a date field of {table1.date}
    the record selection would be
    if (@upperthisyeare > {table1.date} and @lowerthisyear < {table1.date}) or (@upperlastyeare > {table1.date} and @lowerlastyear < {table1.date}) then 1 else 0
I would test this by using it as a formula field with the test data.
