Custom fields not visible in Active subject area for reporting
Hi all,
I added a custom field to the object Service Request and I cannot find it under the field listing in Active subject area for building a report. The custom field is of the type integer. Any help is appreciated.

I have created several custom fields in the Object Service Request. I need to create a report with those fields, but some of them are not visible / displayed.
Is there any delay between the custom field creation and its availability in Oracle Answer? Because, only the "old" custom fields appears in the list.

In the TS, on the right side, see if these fields are part of the DS.
If yes, then click on them and drop them on the left, in the Transfer structure.
If they are not availabel in the Datasource, then go to RSA6 in R/3 and see if the extract structure of this DS has these fields hidden, i.e if theres a check mark on hide coloumn....
If these fields are not visible in the extract structure then let me know

Custom field not visible for Project task in PPM 5.0
Hi,
I have done the SPRO configuration required to add a custom field in Project task
1. Enhance DB table. added the field in structure DPR_TS_TASK_EXTENDED_ATTR, object type TTO
2. Define field groups for custom fields
3. Set up field control.
The custom field tab has come after making SPRO changes. But the field is not visible on the tab.
Please let me know if I am missing any steps.

You have to config the view or subview at:
SAP Portfolio and Project Management -> Portfolio Management -> Global Customizing -> Global Field Settings -> Assign Fields to Views/Subviews
Here try to to setup the view that you want to see the custom field.

When I create reports and I use the Active Subject area for my heading there are many items in there that we do not use. Having them makes it take much longer to find the ones I want to use. Is there a way to delete them?

Add object in repository but not showing in answers subject area

I add a table from physical layer to BM and then presentation layer and successfully restart the BI service but it still not showing in answers subject area i also logout and login the application... any idea why.
RegardsHave you reloaded the metadata in the presentation server? This can be done in Answers by using the 'reload metadata' link below the tables (you must have the privilege to do this, by default the Administrator user can do this).
Restarting the presentation server service will also force a reload.

Hi,
The issue is that Type2 SCD attributes are showing the old value when used outside the domain of Type2 SCD dimension.
For example, if we try to display the value of Type2 SCD attribute from Contact dimension in Opportunities subject area we get the old value instead of current one.
The reason is that Revenue fact table which is used between Contact and Opportunities dimensions is keeping the old value of Contact ROW_WID.
Is there a suggested / recommended approach on how to solve this ?
Would adding the Contact INTEGRATION_ID in Revenue fact table and using it for join instead of ROW_WID, while filtering out on current flag be a best practice ?

to understand how PR_CONTACT_WID is populated on the W_REVN_F, you must use Informatica (PowerCenter Designer) and view the backward link path.

Custom Field not showing in analytics?
We have a custom field on the account object called sales stage. It is a simple pick list (our organization does not use the opportunity object). The custom field is not available in analytics. Is there something on the field setup that needs to be flagged? All of our other fields seem to appear just fine. This is so bizzarre!!

We have a similar problem concerning custom fields not available in Answers. It concerns a custom field for an additional tel no. in the user record type. I thought it might have something to do with the fact that it can only be utilized through the other data types, using "owned by user".
But as you have the same problem, maybe there is a solution... Any idea would be appreciated. -

Is there any way by which we can create seperate subject areas for OBIEE dashboard prompt only??

Yes we can create separate subject areas for dashboard prompt's alone. Here is a case
Say we need to create a constraint enabled prompt in our dashboard. So we bring in two dimension columns into the prompt.
When we run the prompt, the queries across these two dimensions go through a fact table (Because the only way two different dimensions can be joined is through a fact . This fact table is chosen by BI Server intelligently at run time and that can be set through Implicit Fact column also though). In this case there is a chance that some of the dimension rows might get skipped in the constrained prompt as all of the records might not be present in the fact table.
To mitigate this issue, we might want to create a separate subject area for dashboard prompts alone (using some fact less fact or by having a surrogate key in the 2nd dimension table etc).

I have requirement like i need to hide Subject Area for perticular user but still i need to allow him to run dashboard Reports developed on that hiding subject area.
means 'User should not see the Subject area but he shoud be able to run reports'.

Try this one out
1) Create a new dashboard based on some other presentation catalog lets say p1.
2) Drag drop reports from required presentation catalog lets say p2 onto this dashboard.
3) Go to settings>Administration>manage presentation catalog and remove access from p2.
4) Give read only permission on dashboard created. It will make sure that you don't get edit dashboard option for that page.
In this way he won't be able to see p2 catalog in answers and still be able to access some reports on dashboard.

I have configured my android to connect to .me / cloud email. It works. But is does not do automatic email delivery. It seems to do fetch, not push. The settings are for imap. Can anybody tell me how to get push?
As Roger said, iCloud does not support external POP accounts.
However, you can configure your Max to directly receive your Yahoo! email by following these instructions:

Credit control field not visible in customer master after checking Spro

I have configured Automatic Credit Control In IMG.
I have checked all the necessary spets required for the avtivation of Automatic Credit Control.
But I am facing in problem and will appreciate all your help for this problem.
In Customer master> Sales area data> Billing Document--> delivery and payment terms. Within delivery and payment terms the feild for credit control area is not visible.
I have checked in spro>financial accounting> Ac rec & Ac payable>customer account>master data>preparation for creating customer master> define account groups with screen laypouts (customers).
Within Define account groups with screen laypouts (customers)>account group 001(soldtoparty)details>field status>sales data>billing-->Hedging and credit contr. area I have tried it with optional as well as reuired entry and still the credit control field is not visible in customer master.
Pls provide me the steps as well as solutions for the problem.
