Custom Runtime Error Dialog Always showing
Hi,
(TestStand 2.0.1f1)
Using the Callback based on the example C:\TestStand\Examples\Callbacks\PostStepRuntimeErrorCallback\ErrorHandlerExample.seq.
The error dialog always appears. I was expecting from the comment in the Set ErrorReport Flag that the Dialog would not appear again. (Comment: If this flag is set, TestStand does not send a UIMsg_BreakOnRunTimeError event to the GUI. This step sets the flag to prevent the GUI from displaying a runtime error dialog because this callback has already displayed a runtime error dialog to the user.)
When you use the default Error Reporting, you can check a checkbox so that Dialogbox is not seen again for the same execution. I was expecting the same thing from the SequenceFil
ePostStepRuntimeError callback.
Any clues as to whats going on.
See attached example.

Hi,
In the Programmer Help for DisplayRunTimeErrorDialogEx method it says
"dontShowAgainForExecution Boolean Returns whether the user wants this dialog box to appear again if another run-time error occurs in the current execution. If this value is true, set Execution.RTEOptionForThisExecution to specify what to do on a run-time error for this execution."
Now I have tried setting each of the RTE Options (except the Display Dialog) to try get the same effect as not using the Callback for runtime errors when it comes to ignoring all further errors. Nothing seems to work as expected. So whats the engine doing extra thats not detailed in the Programmer Help or the examples provided.

Runtime error dialog hidden by custom C# GUI
I have a sequence file that has a front end GUI written in C#. When the MainSequence is run, it calls ShowForm() on the C# GUI in a separate thread. The GUI is used to select which other sequences to run in the sequence file as well as display percent complete status, etc.
My problem is that if an error occurs, I do not see the Runtime error dialog until I close the GUI. Does anyone have any ideas on how to get the runtime dialog box to show while the GUI form is displayed? Or even some way to update the GUI to show there is an error? The simplest solution might be to make the GUI transparent so you can see the form and what is behind it.
Set the forms Opacity property to %50 just before showing the form. (Form.Opacity = 0.5). You can adjust the forms transparency until your satisfied that you can see the gui and what is behind it. -
I have a three monitor set up. I have Thunderbird running in the right monitor. My main monitor is the middle one. Dialogs, such as Spell check, Activity Monitor always show up in the main window (not the one with Thunderbird) in the upper left hand corner.
It happens on Windows Vista and Windows 7 Professional.
I have Thunderbird version 24.3.0Some dialogs when moved, stay moved. Others do not. The ones that frustrate me are those that are Centered and therefore show up split across my two monitors.

NI Variable Engine (tagsrv.exe) Runtime Error Dialog Upon Restart -- Resolved
After installing LabVIEW 2009, I started getting an error dialog when I restarted, and shared variables stopped working. So, I figured I'd post what I did to resolve it.
For forums searchability, here's the text:
Dialog Window Title:
Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library
Dialog Window Text:
Runtime Error!
Program: ...gram Files\National Instruments\Shared\Tagger\tagsrv.exe
This application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unusual way.
Please contact the application's support team for more information
=======
Here's the dialog:
I also noticed that the NIVE (National Instruments Variable Engine) service timed out when I manually tried to stop it.
So, I:
* Closed out of everything, opened Distributed System Manager 2009, and removed all processes (except for "System", of course)
* Restarted the PC
Visual C++ Runtime error is gone!

Wait for Flag / Set Flag
Separate Views from Implementation for Strict Type DefsSorry to hear that. I've been there a few times myself. While you're going through that process, consider uninstalling EVERYTHING NI through Control Panel » Add Remove Programs. Running msiBlast (attached below) can clean out anything you missed.
As a last resort, you could call NI support (if you have support) and at least allow them to probe around. At a minimum, they can document this internally so maybe it's fixed at some point. If you go that route, request a CAR number and post it back here if they give you one.

Runtime Error Dialog at Startup Time
I posted a similar question many months ago, but I still have this problem - even after upgrading to 10.5.6 today. I have no idea where it is coming from or how to get rid of it, but apparently there is something trying to auto-launch in the background every time I restart the computer and the desktop comes up?
The dialog says:
Runtime Error
Location/Volumes/RBUS/REALbasic/REALbasic Xcode/../../Common/relocentry.cpp:3374
Failure Condition: functionPtr == oldRntry->code Failure Message:
Then I have a choice of QUIT or CONTINUE, but of course "CONTINUE" just causes the dilog to keep reappearing.Have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling Real Basic?

If it is something trying to start up then go to :
system Prefs> Accounts> select your account> login items
you should see a list of items which load at start up. You can add or delete items from that list... -
Hi guru's,
I have a genric data source with function module which feeds data to a genric ods in bw.

. The exception, which is assigned to the class 'CX_SY_OPEN_SQL_DB', was
neither
caught nor passed along using a RAISING clause, in the procedure
"STORAGE_LOC_GET" "(METHOD)"
Since the caller of the procedure could not have expected this exception
to occur, the running program was terminated.
The reason for the exception is:
How to correct the error
The exception must either be prevented, caught within the procedure
"STORAGE_LOC_GET"
"(METHOD)", or declared in the procedure's RAISING clause.
To prevent the exception, note the following:
Database error text........: "ORA-04030: out of process memory when trying to
allocate 1332 bytes (callheap,qkkele)"
Internal call code.........: "[RSQL/READ/T001L ]"
Please check the entries in the system log (Transaction SM21).
You may able to find an interim solution to the problem
in the SAP note system. If you have access to the note system yourself,
use the following search criteria:
"DBIF_RSQL_SQL_ERROR" CX_SY_OPEN_SQL_DBC
"SAPLMIGO" or "########################################"
"STORAGE_LOC_GET"
If you cannot solve the problem yourself, please send the
following documents to SAP:
1. A hard copy print describing the problem.
To obtain this, select the "Print" function on the current screen.
2. A suitable hardcopy prinout of the system log.
To obtain this, call the system log with Transaction SM21
and select the "Print" function to print out the relevant
part.
3. If the programs are your own programs or modified SAP programs,
supply the source code.
To do this, you can either use the "PRINT" command in the editor or
print the programs using the report RSINCL00.
4. Details regarding the conditions under which the error occurred
or which actions and input led to the error.

Runtime errors are not showing in debugger!
Hi,
I have recently faced a very strange problem. at first I thought maybe it's because of the new Air SDK 15 build 302 but after switching back to older SDK the problem is still there! any idea or hint about this would be great. just tell me the first thing that comes to your mind and I will search about it more...
the problem is that when I was testing my apps in debug mode (on Android or iOS) if there were a runtime error, the app used to stop and my IDE (I use FlashDevelop) could take me to the exact line were the error had occurred... and I could fix the bug. I've been doing this for many years of course! (I'm NOT a newbie)
but in the past week, the debugger is not throwing errors any more! in some cases it does but on other runtime errors, it does not!
this is not happening on my computer only, it is happening on another computer we have here too! that is so weird and annoying! not being able to see error messages is silly.
My guess:
I don't know if this can be related or not, but the project we're working on is huge and there are a lot of .as classes to be compiled, maybe the debugger is giving up on this project because of it's size? maybe I should switch some of the classes into swc?Sounds like the project somehow does not use the flash debug player but the standard flash player; I'm not familar with FlashDevelop but you should check if you are really using a debug player. You can do this programatically, too: flash.system.Capabilities.isDebugger

I have tried to install iTunes many times, and I've tried all different versions just to make sure it wasn't one particular version that didn't work. It gets to the final page of installation and it says "iTunes installer completed. Errors occurred during installation before iTunes could be configured. Your system has not been modified. To complete the installation, run the installer again." I have tried so many times on many different days I just need to reinstall iTunes ASAP. Please help! What do I do? Thanks!

Condition Control (KMOV-KSTEU) always shows "C" Manual
When performing the final settlement of customer rebates in
VBO2 > Rebate Payments > Final Settlement > Using Payment Screen
The condition type for Customer Commission (BO08) is always showing condition control as "C" changed manually even when the Commission Settlement document is created automatically. What happens then is that when the Rebate Credit Memo is created the reversal of the accural does not take place. The condition values in that are 0.00.
The condition control is supposed to be 'E' Condition Value and basis fixed. this Condition Type is never changed manually, it based on a percentage in the condition records of the rebate agreement.
How can I change the condition control so that it is always 'E'?
Thanks.Refer Note # 943329

We have upgraded SAP Portal from 7.0 to 7.3 Ehp1, after upgrade we faced some issues and have resolved those.
Right now some tabs in the portal is working fine whereas Universal Worklist and some tabs are throwing runtime error, where it shows "No logon ticket available" in trace file.
I have checked login module components in nwa and it shows as
EvaluateTicketLoginModule SUFFICIENT

Please find the below trace details. Kindly suggest your views.

Preventing Form Calc Runtime Error Message Dialog
When there is an runtime error in a script written in JavaScript, Adobe Reader "swallows" the error (if it is not caught). I mean, it may write the error to the console, but the user isn't warned of the fact, through a message box.
So, for the user, everything is well.
For the programmer, because he can use a top level try/catch/finally statement, if he is interested in knowing of the fact, this behaviour is a good compromise.
If there is a syntax error in a script written in JavaScript Adobe Reader also does not alert the user of the fact.
If you write code in FormCalc the behaviour is the exact opposite.
Syntax errors show up to the user. This may be admissible because, with thorough testing, it will happen in development-time.
But runtime errors always show up to the user. A big dialog, as tall as your code, shows the code to the user, and, at the bottom, possibly already off the screen, the description of runtime error. This may be an ugly description, depending on what failed.
As far as I know, there is no construct in the Form Calc language that allows catching errors, so you're stuck.
To make things worse not every FormCalc function is available in JavaScript. Many useful functions only exist in FormCalc.
I tried calling FormCalc scripts from JavaScript scripts, using the field.execEvent('...') and it works, appart from a lot of dificulties in passing parameters to, and returning results from, using fields' values as intermediaries of this interaction.
Yet, a try/catch/finally block in the calling JavaScript script does not catch FormCalc errors...so we're back again to the same problem.
All this, imho, is an absurd, and can only be understood as some market-like feature.
Is there ANY undocumented way or dirty trick to prevent FormCalc error messages from displaying to the user?
Or
Is there ANY undocumented way or dirty trick to catch FormCalc error messages, in FormCalc code?Duarte:
You cannot catch exceptions in FormCalc -- it doesn't have that language feature. If this is important to you, you need to stay with JavaScript. Of course there are certain functions that are available only in FormCalc. There is a way to get at those functions from JavaScript. See my blog post at:
http://blogs.adobe.com/formfeed/2009/02/calling_formcalc_functions_fro.html
