Customer Address Data

Hello
I am trying to extract customers from ECC to MDM using XI
I am sending the DEBMDM idoc
but it doesn't contain the adress data
E1KNB1M doesnt have the STRAS field
when I check on SE16 the KNA1 table I see the adresses of all the customers
any ideas?

Hello Shai,
Address data in the DEBMDM IDoc is part of the E1ADRMAS segment. Please check its structure. You'll see a child segment named E1BPAD1VL that carries the street info
Segment E1KNB1M carries the Company Code related data only.

Using LSMW to update customer address data via RFBIDE00

Hi, I wonder if anybody has dealed with same issue for using LSMW with program RFBIDE00 to update customer address data.
We need to update the customer address data in the central address management data. Since those fields do not exist in basic structure of BKNA1, for example, C/O name, street 2 to Street 5, I am putting the mapping of the source fields to map to BIADDR2. However, all the data I mapped to BIADDR2 is not updating in the customer records. When looking into the code of RFBIDE00, the codes will only transfer the data from BIADDR2 if the customer account group is marked as consumer which our case is just a sold to, ship to, not consumer.
Does anybody have faced this issue before? Where should the exact central address data be mapped to in RFBIDE00?
We are using ECC6.0. Any advise is appreciated.

Best way to handle single line Customer and Address Data

Hi, We have customer data in a single line means name, address everything is in a single line. I am now suppose to cleanse this data using Data Quality. Now my question is how to parse this data. Normally I have dealt with multiple line or address data which I can map to input fields of the Address cleanse transforms. In this case, Shall I just map that single field to "Address_line" of the Address cleanse transform? It should be able to parse or shall I parse all the fields using some function in Query transform and then feed into Address Cleanse transform?

but the same is not getting updated in customer master .

Hi,
you need to check/do the following:
1) check whether the field is available in the adress segment in write BDoc CAPGEN_OBJECT_WRITE (I suppose it is there...) - check transaction sbdm
2) if not it needs to be added and the Mobile bridge needs to be enhanced accordingly
3) check in CDB (or local IDES DB) whether the field is already filled with according values
4) if not check/enhance Mobile bridge...
5) check whether property is already available in Business object BOBPADRESS
6) if not create new property based on given BDoc segment field
7) drag this property to address tile
8) generate CL

You can not get the report with address details from standard reports. You have to download the address from table level to excel and you can do what ever you want. If you want a special report what you want you have to contact your programmer (ABAP).

Adding a new field to the Address Data for a business partner

Hi Experts,
I am trying to add a new custom field to the address data (all structures and tables) that is linked to a business partner on SAP CRM via EEWB. Structure is the address structure wthin BUS_EI_EXTERN. Table is BUT020. I have been told that it is not possible as there is no Business Object that allows this. When doing an EEWB, the only business object is BUPA, which when selected, adds the new custom field to BUT000. I would like the field to be added to BUT020 (Address Table). This leads me to believe that there is no standard way of doing this, which ultimatley means that it would need to be done manually. Please help me with this predicament.

The search help exit allows you to modify functionality of search help. If you add a new field to the
parameter list that is not contained on the selection method you can manually populate it within the search
help exit.
This would be performed within the u2018STEP DISPu2019 section. Once within this section all search help
data has been retrieved and is stored in table RECORD_TAB (record_tab-string) as one long string value.
Therefore you need to read table SHLP in-order to locate position of value within string.
Example:
To find position of personnel number (PERNR) within elemenory search
help M_PREMN you would use the following code:
Loop at record_tab.
     read table shlp-fielddescr into wa_shlp
                                   with key tabname   = 'M_PREMN'
                                            fieldname = 'PERNR'.
You could then use this information in the following way, for
example, to find a persons organisation unit:
      select orgeh endda

Customer master data using LSMW std batch input

Hello all,
i m using LSMW method to create customer master records in the SAP system.
we need to cover all the fields for addresses.
Following are my doubts :
1. some address fields are gettng truncated while loading customer master using std batch input program (for ex name1,name2,name3,name4,street..)
2. some fields are not part of std batch input program . how to load that fields
3. if we load address data first and then other customer data ,how to handle internal number range?
4. how to upload internation address data in the system? is there any bapi for that?
5 . how to upload additional communication data in address (ex mail,URL)
Please help asap. its required urgently.

Not able to create customer master data with country code US

Hey All,
I am not able to create customer master data in the Transaction Code XD01/FD01 with the country code as US.
The error message for the same is NO JURISDICTION CODE COULD BE DETERMINED. I have checked the tax code settings but could not locate the problem.

Hey all,
I have checked the field in the account group(OBD2) but its in optional status
and also checked the country settings for US in the transaction code OY17 still the same error message, but when i tried checking the settings for a differnt company code's customer data base i can see that there is a number mentioned in the address tab under tax jurisdiction feild (beside time zone) which is not populating for this company code.
so, do anyone know where exaclty we mention this number so that it populates in that field of address.

Change Message Control for Customer Master data

I have to choose/populate a message when the user is about to create an already existing customer.
In SPRO --> Financial Accounting --> Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable --> Customer Accounts --> Master Data --> Preparations for creating customer master data --> "change message control for customer master data" ...
OK...
When u click this it goes into Change View "message control by User" Overview screen wherein u can insert new messages and texts and the type of message ....
Now .....
I want to display the 145th message (F4 help of the Message column) ..... it picks up the text "Customer found with same address;check"..... with Online mesasage type 'I' and batch type 'I' and with standard type '-' ..
I want to have the same message with message types 'E','E', and 'I' respectively.......
How is this possible (or) what should i do to meet my requirement :-|

VIEW CUSTOMER ADDRESS DETAILS IN REPORT (TABULAR) FORMAT

When maintaining the Customer Master, General Details such as Customer Name, Search Term, Address, City, Postal Code, Country, Telephone No, Email etc are updated in the General Data screen that is stored in KNA1.
When I run report for KNA1 in SE16 - the system gives me Name, Search Term, Country, Telephone, City, Postal Code - nowhere it gives me a detailed report of address data stored in Steet 2, Street 3, Street 4
How do I get the entire Street Address details against Customer Code?

If you talking about SQVI query, just do a google search and you will find lot of help and guidelines to construct a query.
In SQVI query you should link KNA1-ADRNR with ADRC-ADDRNUMBER and you should select KNA1-KUNNR, KNA1-ADRNR, ADRC-STREET, ADRC-CITY1 etc as output fields. Then it should give you the correct output.
If you are talking about ABAP report, it should be similar to what is given below.
SELECT STREET1, CITY1, .........etc FROM ADRC WHERE
ADRC-ADDRNUMBER = KNA1-ADRNR

This BAPI does not allow to create a new customer from scratch but only to copy an existing customer to a new one and change its address data.
The reference customer has to be provided using IMPORTING parameter PI_COPYREFERENCE. See also the BAPI documentation for more details.
The BAPI does the same like transaction XD01 with Reference.

First check acustomer in 'XD04' which has got some change doc history. See all changes in XD04 for that customer.
Then go to CDHDR table,
OBJECTCLAS = 'DEBI'.
OBJECTID = Customer Number (10 digit with 0 padding).
UDATE = Update/change date (Take from XD04).
Run the table & put the same values in CDPOS along with the CDHDR-CHANGENR & get the field wise changes in Customer with new & old values.

RFBIDE00 - Address data issue

Hi,
I want to populate the street2 and street3 fields of the customer master when uploading master data with LSMW using standard program - RFBIDE00 (Batch Input Program).
These fields are not available in structure BKNA1 provided by the standard program. I tried to use structure BIADDR2 instead. The data is converted properly and show in the structure. But, when I run the generated session, the fields for street2 and street3 are not populated.
Has anyone done this?

Hi Shyam,
Central address management fields cannot be transferred using the standard program. You have to do a second pass at it to get the full centrally managed address fields. Read documentation of the program. Here is an excerpt from it.
<i>Additional address fields:
There are additional address fields available due to linking the customer and vendor master and the respective contact person to central address management. This additional address information is stored in central address management's own tables not in the actual master tables (KNA1 for the customer master, LFA1 for the vendor master, KNVK for the contact person).
A separate transfer run via the ALE interface is needed to transfer this additional address information. This run should be before the transfer run for master data.

If you use number ranges with internal number assignment when creating new customer and vendor masters, the number which is used to identify the master object in the system must be determined beforehand due to address information and master data being transferred separately.
You can determine the numbers using the following BAPIs:
BAPI_VENDOR_GETINTNUMBER (for the vendor master)
BAPI_CUSTOMER_GETINTNUMBER (for the customer master)
BAPI_PARTNEREMPLOYEE_GETINTNUM (for the contact person)
Master data fields for which there is a counterpart in central address management (such as name, street, or telephone number) continue to be filled in the actual master tables. The formatting for these fields within central address management is different from the original formatting of the fields without the link to central address management. We therefore recommend that you only transfer the data for such fields when transferring central address management address information.</i>
