Customer specific service required on ESS

Hello experts,
I have the requirement to call the Z T.Code in Employee Search Page. For that I have created a Z  resource and entered the URL of PCD page, which is also entered in PCD on portal. Next we created a Z service and assigned the z resource created above to that service. In the fields, for the service created we selected the 'service type' as "Call a portal page(PCD) option. To display the service on the screen we also assigned this service to a standard existing sub area EMPLOYEE_SEARCH_SUBEMPLOYEESEARCH_2005.
After doing this, the z service is displayed on the screen but when we click on the service, we get an error message as "Page not found or not available".
Please suggest
Deep

Hi Deep,
From your post i understand that you have created a Transaction iview in portal . created resources and services . Assigned to the sub area.
1. Please check the iview in portal with Preview option .
2. In resources may be you have given wrong path . check the path again i too faced the same error.
Please check the link

  • Customer specific BOM

    Hi,
Is it possible to have production BOM customer specific?
Requirement: I will have BOM customer wise, while converting planned order to production order against sales order. System need to pick BOM against that customer automatically.
I know in standard its not possible. By maintaining production version user can select it. But I want automatically.
    Any user exit available?
    Regards / US

Like the above poster mentioned you need to use order bom specific to the sales order in CS61 by copying an existing material bom or another order bom as a template. But you need to note the following
The following restrictions apply to order BOMs:
A result-oriented order BOM is non-configurable. Therefore, you cannot create class items in these bills of material either.
You canu2019t create alternative BOMs for an order BOM.
You canu2019t create variant BOMs for an order BOM.
When you change an order BOM, you can work with change numbers, but not with revision levels.

  • Is TREX required for the customer specific catalog views in SAP ERP E-com

    Hi gurus,
I see there are few ramp-up sap notes for enabling the customer specific catalog views of Product catalog in SAP ERP E-commerce scenario.
Any one who has already implemented them know if TREX is mandatory for having catalog views?
specifically for XECOM 5.0 and ECC 6.0
    Thank you

    See [Note 696095 - ISA R/3 4.0: Collective note on Catalog Views|https://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/696095]
See the first line in the Reasons and Prerequisites:
Important: The catalog views functionality is only available from ISA 4.0 SP4 on, we recommend to use the latest SP. It is also only available with TREX as catalog engine
This is true for recent versions too.
The requirement is behind how the solution is implemented. VIEWS_ID is actually published to TREX for optimized extraction of customer views.

  • Custom specific ESS role

The  enhancement is to create a Custom -specific ESS security role in the SAP Portal.    The default SAP Portal ESS security role provides access to all of the ESS iViews.  Due to the fact that the SAP portal is not the current default application for ESS (MS Sharepoint), we do not want employees to access the entire SAP ESS suite of iViews.  Instead, a custom role will be created that will contain only the Travel Expense application.   As additional SAP ESS applications are enabled, these Iviews can be added to the new Cameron-specific ESS security role.

    HI Gurus ,
Wanted to know how to differenciate users of different counties in portal . As  different country users will have different custom ESS services . Pls provide me a SAP standard solution for the same .

  • ESS Personal information country specific services

    Dear Guru's,
We have set up the following country specific services (Dutch = molga 05)  for the Personal Information Workset in ESS:
    - Adresses
    - Bank relations
    - Personal Information
While testing these services for two persons the following situatin occurs:
    - Person A: has parameter MOL 05 set in transaction SU01 and uses ESS portal role.
    - Person B: has parameter MOL 05 set in transaction SU01 and also uses ESS portal role.
Als the country specific services are defined to the country speficif resources.
While trying to change the record in infotype 2, 6 and 9 for Person A using ESS all the procedures are succesfull.
While trying to change the record in infotype 2, 6 and 9 based on the date of today for Person B the systeem gives back the following error:
    "record 00001101      0009        0        with date x has group value "" instead of "05".
(pernr) (infotype)  (sub)                  (date previous record)               (MOLGA)
This seems to be strange because both users have exactly the same profile in ECC and Portal.
Also the application seems te have a problem with the limitation of the previous record since the system says that that record has group value " "  instead of "05"
Since this is the last problem we face in ESS we could need some help.
    Kind regards

    Hi,
This issue is because of data inconsistency. In se38, the report RPUFIXDS should be run to fix this.
This can be run for a single personnel number or a range of personnel numbers.

  • Customer specific codelists in integration scenario with CRM onPrem

    Hi,
we are working on an integration scenario C4C <> CRM onPrem. The businesspartner masterdata should be editable in C4C and CRM.
We have several customer specific fields on the businesspartner in both systems.
In CRM we have implemented customizing for the values of these fields via customizingtables that can be maintained with TX:SM30.
We can also create finetuning-activities for the maintenance of the code lists for these fields in C4C.
As these customizingtables can have around 1.000 entries per table we are searching for a solution to maintain the values just in CRM instead of maintaining them twice.
Does anybody has an idea how to replicate customer specific codelist-values from CRM into C4C? Or maybe a valuehelp in C4C that retrieves the values via webservice from CRM?
    Thanks
    Danny

    Hi Danny,
We have requirement like get all Oper Order based on Account from ECC to cloud and we have successfully achieved using External Web Service Integration.
We have consume ECC web service integration and retrieve all Open orders based on Account ID and display in the table.
So as per my knowledge you can read all value using web service call and maintained in custom OVS ( I have never tried ).
You need to check whether is it possible or not using custom OVS but if it is working for table than it may be work for custom OVS as well.
Please check this post below may be helpful to you

  • Customer Specific Pricing in ISA

    Hi,
Can any one explain me Customer Specific Pricing functionality in B2BISA CRM 2007.
What are all the configuration steps needs to be done
    Regards,
    Ajay

    Hello Ajay,
Your question is slightly confusing . I will tell you why. Your thread title gives me an impression that your normal pricing in CRM / ISA is working and you want Customer Specific Pricing.
Is any pricing working in ISA or CRM? I mean, do you have transactions (orders)that show pricing in CRM?  Till you answer my question above, let me give a overview of the steps involved. I am assuming that you have a R/3 (ECC) backend and CRM 5.0 or above for CRM.
[1. There are CRM middleware tasks to download Pricing configuration from R/3|http://help.sap.com/bp_crmv250/CRM_DE/BBLibrary/Documentation/B09_BB_ConfigGuide_EN_US.doc]
[2. There are CRM middleware tasks to download the conditions from R/3|http://help.sap.com/bp_crmv250/CRM_DE/BBLibrary/Documentation/B09_BB_ConfigGuide_EN_US.doc]
[3. You have to activate the IPC in CRM|https://service.sap.com/~sapidb/012006153200000081802008E/PricingUserexitManualV104.pdf]
[4. If there are custom pricing exits in R/3 then you have to rewrite them in Java for IPC in CRM|https://service.sap.com/~sapidb/012006153200000081802008E/PricingUserexitManualV104.pdf]
    5. There is little or no configuration required in ISA for IPC (except for the configuration in defining the Shop which you already seem to know).
If the above is not overwhelming to you and you already know about it, then very good, you don't have a problem, I do.
If you have noticed, I mentioned only about pricing - but not customer specific pricing in the above discussion. Customer specific pricing is some thing that should be designed in the Pricing procedure. You have already declared that you know how those things work. And that leaves me confused.
Anyway, the links above give you access to the documents I feel that might help you.

  • W-4 tax wothholding service available in ESS.

    Hi All
What are the prequisite config steps we need to carry out in back end R/3 for makig W-4 tax wothholding service available in ESS. I am not finding ay thing in the 'service specific settings ' of IMG in ESS  for this area.
Is there any confg required to be carried out in application area also ?
Can some body please suggest. We are on ECC 5.0
    Thanks
    Srinivas

    Hi Sharada
    Thanks for your reply.
As regards the home page design I think we are going with SAP stanadard and all other links in the Benefits & paymants area like salary staement , total comp statement, employment verification, W-2 reprint etc. work fine.
There is a link for W-4 as well but when we get on to the link we do not get the W-4 opened up. You had mentioned that we need to create a iView and page and add to the ESS role. I thought SAP provides standard iView for this functionality. Or is it that for ECC 5.0 SAP's iView is not available. Can you please throw some more light on this ?
    Thanks

  • What role needs to be assigned to the user to access existing custom OData services?

    Hi all,
What role needs to be assigned to the user to access existing custom OData services?
With SAP ALL its working. But cannot assign that to all users. Whats the specific role for this?
I tried with /IWFND/RT_GW_USER. But it says the role does not exist.
    Thank you,
    Achu

    Hi,
As usual you need to build a role by yourself based on your requirements. In case of Odata services there are two different TADIR services that needs to be added. One corresponds to authorization to execute logic on backend server and the other one to access service on front end server. You can get specific services by tracing one call using ST01. For Fiori apps from SAP you get role templates. You can use them for inspiration.
    Cheers

  • Custom Identity Service for BPEL

    Hi
Has anyone created a Custom Identity Service for BPEL workflow authentication.
    Please reply back.
    Thanks
    Mudassar

Is there a document somewhere that actually describes how to add the plugin to the Process Manager Identity Service? More specifically, requirements for packaging up the plugin module, which folder to place the module in, ALL of the configuration files that need to be updated, etc.?
So far documents such as the BPEL Developers Guide, BPEL Process Manager Administrator's Guide, and various online sources have been moderately helpful but it seems like there are a lot of missing details as to actually getting a custom Identity Service plugin module working.

  • SAP support for country-specific legal requirements

Just wondering if anyone could clarify how does SAP support work for the country-specific legal requirements. I'm sure in every country some new laws come to life regularly that affect the SAP customers and their ERP systems.
Case in point - on July 1st Mexican authority SAT decided to ask businesses to send them some XML files with some GL account information ('Anexo 24' - see the announcement in Spanish here). The deadline for the first file submission is October 2014.
This clearly affects every single SAP customer in the whole Mexico, as well as potentially many North America customers who have manufacturing facilities there. So would it be reasonable to expect SAP to come up with some standard solution? XML file extraction doesn't seem to be incredibly complex to me (although I might be off).
Another question - how would the customers know that SAP is aware of new laws and is taking some action? Could there be an announcement posted somewhere? There is a website for SAP Latin Americabut the latest announcement there is from June and nothing else is on the home page except for the HANA ads. (My Spanish is limited to "dos cervezas por favor", sorry if I missed something.)
In absence of such communication, naturally, the only option the individual customers have is to send a message to SAP. And that's where SAP replies with a copy/paste text (we got the same exact response as another SCN member here):
Feel free to maintain this incident opened, but contact us in the next three weeks, then we will be able to confirm if this legal requirement will be supported by SAP.
I'm confused - "IF"?! This is a legal requirement, there is no "if" for the business. Let's see if I got it right - we wait for 3 weeks, then SAP decides "nah, not gonna support that" (by the way, why is it on the customers to contact support again?) and every SAP customer in the whole country will have to scramble their own resources or pay for consulting (on top of SAP maintenance fees) to deliver the same exact set of programs on their own in under 2 months?
It could've been just an unfortunate choice of verbiage by Global Support, but I'm curious - is this really how the support for legal requirements supposed to work?
    Thank you.

    Hi Jelena,
Having been part of the SAP Globalization Services in Brazil, I understand a little bit of that process.
    A few comments:
    1) Localization of SAP solutions to country-specific regulation is under the responsibility of an area called Globalization Services. You can find more info about what they do here:
    http://service.sap.com/globalization
    2) Typically, those country-specific requirements are discussed in much details on the local ASUG chapters (at least that's how we did it in Brazil). That's why it's usually hard to find material in English, but I'd say that your local IT/Biz people in Mexico should be regulars in their local ASUG meetings, specially if they have a specific chapter to discuss Localization matters.
    3) I found out this note with more specifics about "SAT Anexo 24".
    http://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/2041490
Apparently SAP is still analyzing it.
Suggestion if you want to speed the analysis up: reach out to your commercial contact in SAP.
    4) Regarding your statement about the time it takes for the analysis & delivery to take place.
As an SAP customer, you have all the right to complain about the service level you're getting, it's just that, having been on the other side of the table, I know some facts that sometimes may be taken for granted. For example, SAP do not have infinite maintenance resources. I do understand that all customers pay maintenance and need to have their demands addressed, but SAP does not have a bench of developers available for whenever a new demand appears. If there is a new demand, they need to estimate the efforts and accommodate it into the development resource planning.
    5) From a legal perspective, there is a difference between Legal Change and New Legal Requirement. The latter, if differing too much from the initial purpose of the acquired software, might not necessarily be required by the Software provider to be fulfilled within the maintenance scope. I'm not saying that it's the case for this Mexican requirement, I'm just saying there is this possibility, generally.
My personal recommendation: get your local Mexico people to be closer to the SAP Mexico team. They are usually responsible to publish information about such local requirements and the SAP release plan.
    Hope that helps.
    Best,
    Henrique.

  • Open letter to Verizon Wireless Management and Customer No-Services

After more than 10 years as a customer of Verizon Wireless, I have recently encountered several situations that have caused me to begin the process of changing my service provider to another company. Verizon has "zero" loyalty or appreciation of its existing customers; they have poor, and in one particular case, rude customer no-service representatives and policies.
I purchased a new smart phone for my college daughter. Of course, activation of this new phone required the purchase of a data plan, even though she doesn't need or intend to use data services. (That's fine; I was aware of  this cost even though I believe it to be over-priced). In addition, they also required a $30 fee for signing a new contract. Seriously? Are you kidding me? A fee for the "privilege" of signing a contract with the big, powerful, arrogant Verizon? I don't want a contract in the first place; it is Verizon that wants the contract. They should pay me for signing a contract. I could understand a fee for a new account setup (not really, but it makes a little sense) but a fee for an existing multi-line, long-time customer where the paperwork is nothing more than a mere mouse click of  the "I Agree" button?
So, the daughter gets her new phone with 24 months of data (for the low, low price of 25 months.... yea right). We take her old phone, which she has had for several years, and decide to use it on another of the lines in our family plan because it has a qwerty keyboard. Now, I learn that I have to sign up for a data plan to use this old phone on a different line. This phone has been in service for several years with no data plan but now I have to have a data plan to use it?  What the **** ??? I only wanted to use the phone for voice calls and a few texts. I have no need for data. This phone, an ENV3, is not well suited for data services anyway. (No, I won't be using this old phone after all.)
Companies such as yours dream up  junk fees; this one amounts to $1.25 per month additional revenue. They do this as a way of increasing revenue while advertising a lower price, ie advertise $30.00 per month but actually charge $31.25. I suppose they all pat themselves on the back and start counting all the new-found money. The management is so stupid and arrogant that they do not realize what the long-term impact could be. In this particular case, the end result shall be the net loss of $250.00 per month in revenue. I know that you don't care; that is painfully obvious and clear.
Well Mr. Verizon, you may consider this to be my official letter of resignation. Consider me gone, done, history. I don't need you, your arrogance, or your over-priced services. I currently pay nearly $250/mo to your company for six phone lines, four of which are "very lightly" used for calls and and a few text only. Personally, on my line,  I do nothing but make and/or receive an average of  two  3-minute calls per week. I put up with a lot of crap making my money; I do not have to tolerate any when spending it. I WILL be taking ALL my business elsewhere. Four of my lines are currently month-to-month with no contract. I will be moving these to another provider in the coming week. The remaining ones will be moved upon expiration of their respective contracts.
    Cheers

Verizon has no obligation to respect your "loyalty." They do, however, have an obligatory fiduciary duty to their investors, hence the "upgrade" fees, "line access" fees, "regulatory recovery" fees, data plan "repuirements", and data caps, none of which are intended to buy YOU anything. They are assessed primarily to provide profits to them and dividends to their investors, along with a source of capital expenditure for their network expansion whose sole purpose is to attract more customers to provide more revenue streams to meet their aforementioned fiduciary duty to serve their executives and investors ever greater profits and dividends. And in this country, that is ALL this wireless game is about. EVERYTHING else, be it customer service, value of service, loyalty or anything else, is secondary.
And you think other carriers are any different? Nope. They all are in this for the exact same game, however they choose to play it, plan for plan, fee for fee. Sure, details differ, some plans might look more appealing and for some, prudent shopping around might even net some nominal cost savings, but all in all, they pretty much charge the same fees and require the same data plans, because that's where the big bucks are, and one way or another you will pay them or you will do without (which might be a blessing in disguise).
I personally don't like this any more than you do, and I would favor strong federal regulatory oversight much as they have in Europe Latin America and Asia, along with homogenized network infrastructure which stimulates competition by allowing easy interoperability of phones and devices irrespective of carrier, but I fear it will be a cold day in hell before we ever see the likes of that here. According Republican thinking, that's just not the "American Way."
