Customer Vendor Ref. No. in Incoming Payment

B1 8.8 PL14 and PL18
Are we able to include the Customer Vendor Reference Number in the Incoming Payment?
1. Open Incoming Payment
2. Select Form Settings
3. Cust./Vendor Ref No is selected as Visible but the Incoming Payment window does not display the Cust./Vendor Ref. No.
I then Deselect Cust./Vendor Ref No in the form settings and Click OK.  Then I open the Form Settings window and the Cust./Vendor Ref No. is still set as visible.
What am I missing?

This is what I did and is seams to be working.
1. Tools -> Customization Tools -> User Defined Field - Management
2. Expand Payments
3. Click Paid Documents
4. Click Add Button
5. Create a query to auto-populate the field
SELECT T0.[NumAtCard] AS 'BP Reference No.' FROM  [dbo].[OINV] T0  WHERE T0.[DocNum] = $[$20.1.0]
6. Save the Query
7. Open the Incoming Payment window
8. Place cursor in the new field and select Tools -> Customization Tools -> User-Defined Values - Setup
9. Select Search in Existing User-Defined Values according to Saved Query
10. Select the Saved Query
11. Select Auto Refresh
12. Select When Field Changes
13. Select Customer/Vendor Code

  • Aging Report with Customer/Vendor Ref. No. should allow backdate

Aging Reports for Suppliers and Customers.
The current printing of the aging reports using Sales Document tab or the Purchase Document tab does not tie with the GL balances when the dates are backdated. It is important that the detail aging report to show the customer/ vendor ref. no.
There are times when urgent outgoing/ incoming payment are entered into the system for the current period when the vendor detail aging reports or the customer statement with the customer/ vendor ref. no is not ready to be printed for the previous period.
By allow backdating, it gives the users much needed flexibility in creating the transactions into SAP Business One without having to wait till all the previous month financial reporting is finalized. This is especially important during the financial year end.
    Current Workaround: None.

    Hello,
Thank you for your input. The limitation is solved in 2007 A / 2007 B version as a part of new Internal Reconciliation concept.

  • DRQ : Customer / Vendor ref. no. duplication check

    Hi Expert,
At present Customer / Vendor ref. no. duplication check is perform on all documents (e.g. A/R Invoice / A/P Invoice)
Where as I believe it should be performed Customer / Vendor wise.
The reason is simple, say in a new year all customer / vendor will generate their respective A/R invoice OR A/P invoice starting from 1. So verifing it accross the documents seems sence less. If is verified that whether the same Customer / Vendor 's same document is entered earlier or not then it makes sence.

  • BP Ref Nbr in Incoming Payments

whenever my users are trying to create an incoming payment, we want the Doc Nbr to be shown at all times. But for some reason they are able to see only the BP Ref Nbr in the incoming payment grid. Although we go to Form settings and check OFF the BP ref nbr, the next time they close and reopen the Incoming Payment screen, that check mark for BP Reference Nbr comes back again.
Can i change it once and for all , to make it that only DOC Number shows and not the BP Ref Nbr in the GRID. If yes where can i change this setting to be default for all my users.
    Thanks
    raghu

    Hi,
Please check the following steps :
Goto the Incoming Payment and uncheck the box reference number and check the box document number.
Then close the incoming payment window and re-open. You will see that the document number column is appearing and not the BP reference number.
Also, check Note No.  :  715714 regarding the issue.

  • Where should I fill the bank details of customer while getting the incoming payment ?

    Hi all
Can any one advise me where I can fill the information of customer bank detail while creating incoming payment by Check ?
User want to update the customer bank detail when we get the check from customer
    Thanks
    Rini

    Hi,
By bank detail do you mean the Bank Name, Branch and Account? These information can be set in the business master data. In the Payment Terms tab there is a portion about Business Partner Bank.
There you can add the bank details.
See this help file for more information:
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_sbo882/helpdata/en/1d/bbc2e2c0704b308577aabbae3ac25b/content.htm?frameset=/en/44/f3e883c4b80…
once it is added by the time the payment means is selected the bank detail/s of the customer can be selected.
    hope this helps

  • Error : FZ010 : Enter a payment method for incoming payments

    Hi,
I am running F110 and paying intercompany vendors/customers.
I am running payment run for Compony 0050 and paying my vendor VEND0060 and CUST0060.
The balance of vend0060 is 2 million(credit) and  balance of CUST0060 is 1 million (Debit).
So I am going in Reallocate and changing the bank details as getting exceptioin in CUST0060. But it gives out an error "Enter Payment method for incoming payments"
We have just configured outgoing payment and actually as credit balance is more, it should not give this error.
Does any one know solutin for this?
    Error in details:
Enter a payment method for incoming payments
    Message no. FZ010
    Diagnosis
The balance of the items to be paid requires a payment method for incoming payments. You specified a payment method that is defined for outgoing payments.
    System Response
    The payment method is rejected.
    Procedure
Enter a payment method for incoming payments.
    Thanks
    JR

In the master record of the customer/vendor, ensure that the appropriate payment methods are maintained.  If you click on F4 on the payment method field, you can see different methods available for Incoming Payments and different methods for Outgoing payments.
    Assign points accordingly.

  • No view of the changes of Customer /Vendor master data

    Hi Experts,

    Dear Ram,
thank you for your answer , but my problem is still present. If I want to see the modify of the Customer/Vendor Master Data  for the Payment transaction Data  details, I don't try this information in the TCODE FD04.
Do you know a different report or TCODE that I can use?

  • Lockbox incoming payment

    Dear SAP Friends,
If the incoming payment in lockbox file for invoice number 1005 is $900 whereas actual invoice 1005 is due for $1000.
After uploading the lockbox file it shows a new document number 2209 with $900 as DZ (customer payment).
But then how can I recognize that this payment for $900 is against invoice 1005 of $1000. Still in FBL5N it is showing invoice 1005 due for $1000.
    Regards,
    Paul

    Hi,
In a lockbox processing, when a file is processed the Customer number is identified based on MICR / Account number maintained in Customer. In the subsequent step based on invoice number and amount, the incoming payment is applied to invoices.
Even if the Customer is not identified based on MICR, Lockbox processing can identify the invoice based on invoice number and apply the payment.
If the amount received is not matching with invoice amount due, in such cases if the Customer is identified it will be posted on account. Subsequently, this needs to be applied to invoices manually, as per the details received from Customer. Banks provide the details of incoming payments received through online including the invoice details furnished by Customers.
If the Customer number and Invoice number are not identified, the amount will remain unprocessed, which needs to be manually applied to a Customer account - invoices.
The incoming payments can be identified based on document type.
    Thanks
    Murali.

  • Problem with incoming payments layout

    Hi all,
My customer wants to print the incoming payments but when he has a A/R Credit Memo type of document to be paid, the idea is to print the real name of the series.
For example, on A/R Credit Memo we have 2 series, one for credit notes and another one for debit notes. When he is making a payment for a document of the debit note series, on the printed document it will be seen as "A/R Credit Memos". Is it possible to see the name of the series on the incoming payments layout, instead of "A/R Credit Memos"?
    Regards,
    Pedro Santos

    Pedro,
I know this can be a little bottleneck but unfortunately at this time we do not have much choices.

  • Cust / Vend Ref No. Column in Incoming Payment

hii all, how do i show "cust / vendor ref no." column in incoming payment menu ?
    thanks for every comments.

    Hi Ivin,
In SAP B1 Behaviour, It is not possible to get the Row Level Details on Incoming Payments PLD.
Normally it is not able to retrieve in Repetetive Area Fields on Incoming Payments PLD.
Customer/Vendor Reference No. is HardCoded in Incoming Payments.
but Other Invoice Payments Details are Stored in Table -> RCT2 - Incoming Payments - Invoice.
But, Customer/Vendor Reference No. is have Default in System PLD. See the Incoming Payments(System) PLD.
->> Open the Incoming Payments Doc. and put the Tick mark of Customer/Vendor Reference No
field in Repetetive Area (in SAP B1 2005B) or put the Tick mark of Customer/Vendor Reference No in TOP of
the Repetetive Area (in SAP B1 2007B).
->> Add the Incoming Payments Doc.
->> Open the Incoming Payments(System) PLD.
->> Documents Payment (Variable)Field in End of Report On System PLD.
    Documents Paid Variable - 130.
->> Documents Payments Field will display the Customer/Vendor Reference No. and A/P Invoice No.,
Date and Total Amount (or) Journal Entry No., Date and Total Amount .
Otherwise, if you need the Customer/Vendor Reference No. in Repetetive Area. Try to Query PLD.

  • Customer Tolerance for all open item selected in an incoming payment.

    Hi Experts
I have set a tolerance of 5 $ in OBA3 to be written off to Bad Debts account. This  settings are working fine when an incoming payment is entered in F-28.
My requirement is, in F-28 I enter the Document Date, Posting Date, Company Code, Currency, REF, Doc.Header Text in the document header & enter the Bank Account, Amount and Text, then instead of entering the customer account in open item selection, I selet the process open items and Select the Reference as the selection criteria and enter a list of references (for clearing a Batch of open items for different customers).
Standard tolerance functionality will check if the complete incoming document meets the specified tolerance limits set in OBA3. But I want the tolerance of 5 $ specified to be applied for all the open items selected to be cleared with the incoming payment.
I understand that tolerance will be applied when the amount entered and amount of the open items (total) is within the specified tolerance.
But is there any option which will check if each of the open item selected for processing short of 5 $ and then write off to the bad debt account specified in OBXL.
Do we have any user exit, or BADi or can we use any of the BTE functionality to achieve this.
    Kindly give your valuable inputs..
    Thanks in Advance.
    KIM Khan.

    Kim,
Did you get answer to this question? If so can you please share with me?

We want display the ref in every line.
wath is the variable number ?
    Rgds,
    Thierry

    Hello Thierry,
On the Outgoing Payments Screen if you check on the
Customer / Vendor Reference Number, you would automatically see the Vendor Reference No in the rows where the invoices are displayed.
This information also carries to the template and when you preview/print the template this information is printed through the <b>Documents paid variable</b>
<b>SYSTEM VARIABLE NO 130</b>  This is Field_340 in the
<b>Outgoing Payment (System)</b> template <b>in the End of Report Area.</b>
