CUT tag at the top of the frame in export?

Hi,
I'm exporting a quicktime movie from Final Cut, and when I open in in Quicktime Player, there's a white bar across the top that says <CUT>? I don't recall seeing that when I've done the same thing before -- what does it mean and how can I get rid of it?

Middle-clicking a tab closes it, while middle-clicking an empty area of the tab bar opens a new tab.
Different behavior is probably caused by a tab-related add-on like Tab Mix Plus. If you're not sure if you have such an add-on, restart Firefox with add-ons disabled and check if the problem still occurs.

I export the data from Crystal Report XI to Word document (doc) file , i used Text objects in the Report , in document file it's converted to Frames and overlapped with other frames(so some data are hidden). is it possible to avoid the frames while exporting the report to word document.

It would be better if you format your report so your objects do not overlap but I realize sometimes it can't be avoided.
Other option is to upgrade to CR XI R2 and test again, it is a free upgrade.
Go to this link: http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/boc and download the trial version of CR XI R2 and use your XI keycode, then apply the patches which you can get to by clicking on the BusinessObjects tab above, then Downloads.

How can I highlight part of the frame and track it as it moves around in Final Cut Studio?

I'd like to highlight part of the frame by reducing the brightness of the surroundings. My idea was to duplicate the layer, reduce the opacity of the lower layer to 80% and crop the top layer to the area I want. Problem is this, how can I then follow the area of interest as it moves around the frame without laboriously keyframing and adjusting the cropped area every frame. Moving the cropped layer moves the content so that's no good. I definitely have the wrong approach here ... struggling ...

Regio blur (which I have and love btw) won't help me as I want everything sharp. I thought of using a box wipe transition the san duration as the clip with a cut in the middle to set the effect on and having it at 20% for example throughout and keyframing the center postion as required. Two problems with that, can't find a simple box wipe in effects (only centere wipe) and when I try it with other unsuitable wipes the size of the wipe changes when I adjust its centre position despite having the start and finish at the same percentage ... still working this one!

Why does Large text in a Form get cut off at the top when I save it as a PDF

Hi. I've created a form in Acrobat with 2 text fields. I set the size to 40pt and 30pts using Helvetica. When I fill out the form and save-as a PDF the text displays as cut off at the top.
Here's what I've tried so far:
Making the text fields MUCH larger than the font.
Changing fonts. I've tried Helvetica, Verdana, Arial
Selecting Multi-line
Does anyone know how I can keep it from cutting off? The only solution I've been able to find thus far is reducing the font size significantly, which is not an option.

I'm using Acrbat Pro version 10.1.4
The text looks perfect in Acrobat. I'm choosing File > Save As from Acrobat and then when I open it with Preview or Reader it cut's off the text.

Why is the Top Half of the Frame Black?

Can someone clue me in as to why Media Encoder CS4 & CS6 (as well as Premiere CS6) are now loading all my Windows movie files (WMVs) from Google Earth Pro showing the top halves of the frames completely blacked out? This is a recent problem. There were no such issues before, but now I can't even load older WMVs intactly into Adobe apps. without that same problem with blacked-out upper halves of the frames -- even in movies that I used to be able to open in Media Encoder before. Interestingly, these movies do load and play intactly in Windows Media Player on my computer, and they even load correctly into my co-worker's Premiere 5.5 on her computer, but I cannot get them to load correctly in either Media Encoder or Premiere on either my home or work computer. What's going on?? Help!!

If you don't have an iPhone, grab the browser handle and drag it to the left to reduce the width to see how it responds to mobile devices' fixed width browsers .
This will play in all modern browsers and on mobile devices. You can use QuickTime Pro for the OGG or OGV conversion or get the freeware Miro Video Converter...

If you use any of the four fallback players above, take advantage of the fact that you can add a poster image and stop the video file from preloading. This makes for a faster page download time.

Mail fonts cut off at the top.

Suddenly when I'm typing a new mail message, some of the fonts are cut off at the top. Usually capital letters, e.g. "C" you can't see the top of the curve of the letter. Also, when you hit the return, a number of faded dots are in the interval spacing, looking like a bad ribbon on an old typewriter. When I send the message, it appears okay to the receiver, and the copy in my sent folder looks normal. Any suggestions? I've tried changing fonts and sizes without much luck.

My photos are OK in the Organizer, but the portrait photos are cut off at the top or bottom when used in a slide show. I have checked the "Crop to Fit" portrait selection but it makes no difference. I have Version 9 of Elements.

Hi,
I suggest that you try unchecking both of the crop options - landscape & portrait.
To re-create your situation, I had to check the crop for landscape pictures option.
I prefer to have control over any cropping so I tend to crop each image first before creating the slide show.

Hopefully, FCP X has an autosave feature Like Final Cut Pro Studio so that you may already have a recent copy. If I were in your shoes, I'd try an ESC or something similar before going to a Forced Quit.

How to I increase the space between the top of tabs and the frame of the entire window? It was fine until Firefox updated and since it updated it reduced the space. Now the space is too thin which makes it more difficult to move the open window frame around when I need to grab something from Desktop. Image attached.

In the image, see how thin the space is right above the tab? It was much wider before Firefox update so if any know how to make it wider again, please let me know. Thank you

Trying to export a video and the frame keeps getting cut

Hello,
I'm trying to export a video and the frame keeps getting cut. I've tried exporting it as a flattened movie through export - QT - "current settings" and through QT conversion, making to sure set the "size" as 720 x 480 ( my sequence presets are as follows: 720 x 480, DVCPRO50) but the default " current size" seems to be set at 640 x 480 and that's how it is exporting it. I must be missing something, I've never had this happen to me before... Any ideas? Maybe I should try trashing the preferences, usually what I do when I'm out of options...Thanks,

I just tested a bunch of stuff and the only way it would export correctly was by choosing "none" in the compression dialog box from the export to qt menu. weird hunh?

Final Cut pro doesn't play the frames

My final cut pro doesn't play the frames in the application.
The whole time it works great but at ones this happend.

Couple of things to check and try.
1) In Viewer Display options check to see whether Better Performance is checked in the Quality section. If not, check it and that should help you set real time playback with a slight reduction in quality in the Viewer. However, it will not have any affect on your project.
2) If that doesn't work, consider generating Proxy files by eight clicking clips >Transcode Media. There is also a setting in Viewer Display Options to use Proxy in editing your project. Before you export the finished project, remember to change that setting back to Original/Optimized.
3) If that doesn't work, download a speed test and check the throughput of your media drive. It should be a separate drive from your start up disk and should be connected by Thunderbolt (fastest) USN3 (next fastest) or Firewire 800.

30" top of the frame is very warm... is this normal?

I got a 30" ACD here at work last week, and I've noticed that the top of the frame, for the entire length of it, feels extremely warm. I'd compare it to the level of heat from the bottom of my MacBook Pro when it's plugged in and charging and using both cores.
The bottom frame of the display is rather cool, it's just the top that's kind of worrisome.
Is this normal?

We have a few here and they are all warmer at the top than the bottom. We have the same with a couple of 23 inch we have. Seems normal to me, nothing to worry about.
