Cutting audio if respondant clicks answer before the audio clip has played in full..

Trial Captivate vrs 5.
I set up a slide displaying someone using a scanner. An audio question runs 'When scanning the carton what must other checks must the storeman make?' with a multiple answer facility.
If the respondant jumps the gun and submits an answer and clicks 'anywhere' to continue, the following slide's audio begins and the two tracks run simultaneously. Is there a way to either cut the audio before moving onto to the next slide or , preventing the next slide from triggering until the audio sequence is complete and the answer selected. I am new here so there could be some very basic rules that I am not following.

I never use audio on question slides. I find text-based questions work better because people can read faster than they can listen. Thus you avoid the issues you're now having.
If you must have audio for the question, offer it as an optional thing that the user can get by mousing over another rollover object. That way, they'd have to keep their mouse on that object to listen to the entire audio question. As soon as they move their mouse off the object to answer the question the audio will cease, then when the feedback callout appears, they'll hear that audio. This makes it very unlikely you would have two audio tracks playing at the same time.

It sounds like you have done some great troubleshooting for your iPod nano that is not responding. In this situation, if resetting it did not resolve, I would suggest restoring the iPod back to its factory settings and then sync your content back onto it from iTunes. I'd report the problem to the iTunes Store.
Log in to the Store. Click on "Account" in your Quick Links. When you're in your Account information screen, go down to Purchase History and click "See all".
Find the item that is not playing properly. If you can't see "Report a Problem" next to the entry, click the "Report a problem" button. Now click the "Report a Problem" link next to the item.
(Not entirely sure what happens after you click that link, but fingers crossed it should be relatively straightforward.)

Why does my animated menu require me to click 2x before the action is played.

I have a button symbol with a mouse over/mouse out event that plays fine. I have placed that onto another symbol 3x with different text labels. Then that menu symbol I placed onto another symbol that will act as my main content page for when the menu item is clicked. However upon loading the is up I have to click any of the menu buttons 2x to get it to activate the 2nd click causes the animation to play and then the little menu button brings it back and all is well. Just annoying you have to click the button 2x times (I put an alert in testing and the first click fires so I know that is not the problem). You have to add false to jump an action stop.

Why is the green screen visible on the last frame before the next clip?

Hey guys!
Maybe I'm ******** but i m having trouble here. I have "key-ed" a bunch of clips and successfully removed the green screen from them. But when placed in the timeline, the green screen of the clip reappears for the single frame before a next clip starts.
I've re-rendered and chopped ends off but the green screen keeps appearing in the last frame of any keyed clip that is about to cut to a different clip.
Where am i going wrong?

Hey! I tried both suggestions but even the self contained quicktime file has the green screen frames popping up.
I just dont get it, it's infuriating!
I used "chroma keyer" effect on the clip, only enable "key on saturation", the green screen disappears, I place clip on V2 and image on V1. Image is then visible where the green screen was. All is well until the last frame before a next clip because on that ast frame the green screen appears again. Where am I going wrong? Please help!

How can I cut audio clips within iMovie?

This may be a simple solution but I just can't seem to figure it out. I would like to add audio (music) to just the beginning of my iMovie project. But whenever I drop a music file into the timeline, it stretches it all the way through the entire movie.
Also, I'd like to know how to only adjust my voice to certain clips of the movie, and not the whole entire timeline.

If you only want the sound clip for a set period of time, drag it on top of one of the video clips near the beginning that will prevent the audio from becoming a 'background music clip'. Grab the title bar of that clip in the Project window and drag it until the whole background area changes from purple/green to the normal dark grey color of the Project window. Same would apply to your voice clips as well, just drag those sound clips right on the very middle of the thumbnail image of the video clip, and then slide it around to where it needs to be by dragging it to the left or right.

How do I stop background audio clips from playing while browsing sites?

Firefox is my default browser. I use Google chrome and Internet explorer sessions for background monitoring news site sessions at the same time. I have no problem with the other two browsers. While surfing with Firefox I get unwanted background audio clips that start and run by themselves. I cannot stop them. They run and then stop by their self. They are some sort of adware and I cannot find the source to remove them. I also get video clips sometimes that I can stop that run around the outside of the active window I am viewing. These is very annoying. I have uninstalled Firefox and reinstalled it but the problem does not go away. I antivirus software, registry change protection software, and registry cleaning software. The problem is with the default browser.
How can I locate and remove the plugin, addin or service that starts this annoying activity. I have no special unwanted toolbars installed. There is nothing in the installed programs list in the control that shouldn't be there.

I had a similar problem to this. EVERYTIME i started firefox, it would play an audio clip from a flash game i played a while ago, it would last 5 minutes before finishing. i tried the starting in safe mode, but that didn't work for me, so after that i then tried RESETTING firefox, and that has worked for me.
On another side of startup problems, firefox would also open up a new tab on startup, usually 22find.com or do-search.com. i know these are caused by a virus and have since deleted it, but it had changed a preference file in firefox causing it to continue to open on startup.
Having since done the firefox reset, i haven't had either of these problems AT ALL! would recommend this as a possible fix for you friend before trying any lengthy troubleshooting process or downloading any extra anti-virus removal software.

How to get audio clips to play at site but not actually download?

Would like person to be able to listen only to audio clips but not to be able to download clip to add to their iTunes library. In other words, am selling an audio product, and while I'd like people to be able to hear samples at my site (built with iweb), I don't want them to retain clip. Any suggestions on how to accomplish this would be much appreciated!

Stopping people from downloading anything that's published to the internet is virtually impossible.
I would recommend that you first edit your files so that you only have about a one minute clip online....

Dragging you files onto the iWeb page is not the best way to present them as a large percentage of PC users won't be able to play them. The Wordpress standalone flash player is still about the best way to play audio and you have to know how to get into the source code to be able to download the files....

Audio clip has dropped frame

I am using Final Cut Express HD. I imported a song from Itunes which plays just fine in Itunes. I just finished editing a wedding and the last 30 seconds of sound gets clipped off (no sound) when I print to video. The project is one hour and 23 min. The imported song plays when I play it in the timeline but I can hear and see the silent frame in the browser and the sounds keeps going to the end. Is there anything I can do to avoind losing this last thirty seconds of sound when I print to video.

Not sure what you mean by "the silent frame in the browser."
Have you marked an Out point in the sequence? How are you outputting the sequence? How are you printing to video an hour an 23 minutes? Are you using LP on the deck? This is not recommended for anything and will cause many types of problems.
You have rendered the music haven't you? It probably isn't in the correct format or sample rate for digital video.

Cutting audio clips in PE 12

Once again I am used to PE 8 and now working with PE 12 and I am adding my audio files. I have my video and audio unlinked and am trying to cut my audio file. I can get it to cut, I want it to cut off the first portion of the file, and it is at the start of my project. However when I do a "delete and fill the gap" it just deletes it and does not move it to the beginning of the project line. If I try to drag it over with the red bracket handle it will do that but it drags over the entire file like it has never been cut. What am I doing wrong? Thanks
PS Also I am used to "fade in and fade out", what happened to that, where is it and if it is not there how can I get the same effect? Thanks

Just getting back from a few days away on business and saw your thread.
You have run into the major workspace changes going from versions earlier than 11 to version 12. The principles will remain the same, but it is those features and their locations that got moved or discontinued.
With regard to the Delete Close Gap matter, please review the following blog post which describes some Timeline behavior that was unexpected with regard to Delete Close Gap, at least to me.

I found this to happen in version 11 and 12. I have yet to look at this Delete Close Gap behavior in versions of Premiere Elements earlier than 11.

Since updating to 7.1.2 my iphone 5s defaults to the Apple ID login page. This happens even before the pin number has been put in. The phone then obviously then does not recognise the Apple ID. (Because the phone is NOT ON) How do i fix this?

I updated my iPhone 5s to 7.1.2 yesterday, and I now cannot input my PIN number. The screen says i need to input my Apple Id and then my Icloud Password. The phone cannot accept these inputs because I can't switch it on because the PIN number cannot be put in ????????????????????????????/
