Dashcode DataSource Computed Properties/Bindings

Hi guys. I've been working with Dashcode widgets for a while now, but since moving to 3.0 and being introduced to the Data Source/Binding model, I'm still unconvinced that it can do what I need it to. I've read through the documentation but it does not provide much in the way of any explanation.
What I want to do it concatenate two input values from the XML results that I receive and place them into one field. I have tried binding two fields to one input, but that's not allowed. I have also investigated and considered creating my own transformer for the value, but this is only applicable to a single object.
Is there a simple way to do this (I'd think) relatively common task? Perhaps I need to set up a binding for the entire object that is returned to create the new value? Still seems a bit much and a little unclear there. Any suggestions?

I too need to create a computed field from a datasource, anyone have any information on how to do this?

A PL/SQL Function Body computation has to return a value rather than assigning it to an item in the PL/SQL block (APEX turns the block into the body of a function). The item for which the value is to be computed is specified in the computation properties (P3_AGING_BUCKET).

New Windows 8.1 Connected to company NAS, now switching identities with another computer on the NAS

So I recently installed a new Windows 8.1 computer and mapped a network drive to the company NAS. Now, this new computer (let's call it Joe) has switched certain features with another computer on the NAS (let's call it Marie).
- Joe and Marie have switched histories in Chrome
- Joe has Marie's Chrome bookmarks
- Marie can see and access Joe's mapped network drives
- Joe's Chrome automatically brings up Marie's saved IDs and password for email and online databases
However
- Joe's computer identity remains Joe in computer properties
- Other software besides Chrome are acting in the normal, separated fashion
"Joe" has been using the computer a bit since I installed it, so I don't know everything that has been done to the computer. What would make PCs partially switch identity like this, and how do I fix it? Is there some way that
Windows 8 maps network drives differently? Is this a virus (both computers have BitDefender)?

I will have to double check again to make sure I'm telling the truth (I've gone through so many iterations in the past weeks I can't remember which way is up :-) but I believe that the drive was showing in offline files, but that attempting sync (even
repeatedly) did not bring the drive contents back. Which also begs the question, if the user has not made the drive "available offline" why would it be acting like it is? I've considered actually making it available offline, but I don't want
all of that data on his laptop and I'm also concerned that we'd then have more problems as he continues to work for hours and days on his offline copies.
I should also add that I was able to work with the client on Friday and we were able to determine that the VPN is NOT dropping as we're able to ping devices on the LAN side immediately once the files disappear.

Quicktime 7.7.2 Restarts Computer.
Summary:
1.     Change the setting so the Computer does NOT Restart on Error.
2.     Update the Video Driver.

•     Changed the Setting so the Computer will NOT Restart on Error.
•     Updated ATI Video Driver from the Internet ( Computer > Properties > … > Device Manager, right Click on Video Driver and click Update Driver.
Now Quicktime did NOT Crash but still had NO Audio (See below).
Quicktime 7.7.2 has NO Audio.
Summary:
1.     Install an older version of Quicktime (Ex. 7.6.5)
•     I Updated the SoundBlaster Audigy Driver from the Internet (Still NO Audio when running Quicktime).
•     Now that the Drivers were Updated, I Uninstalled and then re-installed Quicktime to see if it would make a difference (Still NO Audio when running Quicktime).
•     Trying something else - I installed an older Version of Quicktime ( I used 7.6.5).
Now Audio worked when using Quicktime.
Computer Specs:
•     AMD 3000+
•     3GB RAM.
•     Windows XP Service Pack 3.
•     ATI Video Card.
•     SoundBlaster Audigy Sound Card.
Extra Notes: Even with my Windows 7 Computer - I only have 7.6.7 - it also works correctly - with audio.

Qualcomm Pure Voice is still an export option in version 7.3 (as it has been in every version).
It fails to play in 7.3 as others have noticed. I didn't catch it in my beta tests of this version and expect it to be fixed with an updated version.
I just tested exports using that codec and they do play the audio. Only a few Pure Voice audio tracks I have on my machine fail. All use 22.050 Hz at mono settings.
A bug.

My HP computer saying my Windows 7 copy is not genuine

I have HP TouchSmart 610 desktop pc Windows 7 SP 1 and my windows OS was activated 2 years ago without any probem.
Several days ago a pop up alert started showing up saying "this computer isn't running genuine Windows."
An option exists to "resolve online now."
After clicking on that a message comes up saying "validation process cannot continue because your web browser may not be configured to run the required script." To continue with validation please do the following:
1. Click "Validate now" to run the alternate validation process [optimized for browsers unable to run original validation script.]
2. When prompted click Save, or run this program from its original location.
When I click "Validate now" the message says "What do you want to do with legitcheck.hta?"

So I choose run this file and after open window from Microsoft - Install genuine Windows with this information -
Files that Windows needs to work properly have been modified, removed, or disabled. To resolve, you need to install genuine Windows.
I called today Microsoft Activation Center and Support - I give them COA code - They said that my OS windows 7 home - is OEM version - so I need to contact HP support with this problem.
I check Start/Computer/Properties/Windows Activation - and there is - Windows is Activated
I also clean up my pc using instruction from bleepingcomputer.com so there are no any viruses and my pc is clean.

This has been known to happen for some unknown reason and sometimes resolves itself after a couple of boots.
Tryrecreating the Licensing Store.
Recreate the Licensing Store
1) Click Start button.
2) Type: CMD.exe into the 'Search programs and files' field
3) Right-Click on CMD.exe and select Run as Administrator
4) Type: net stop sppsvc (It may ask you if you are sure, select yes)
Note: the Software Protection service may not be running, this is ok.
5) Type: cd %windir%\ServiceProfiles\NetworkService\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\SoftwareProtectionPlatform
6) Type: rename tokens.dat tokens.bar
7) Type: cd %windir%\system32
8) Type: net start sppsvc
9) Type: slui.exe
10) After a couple of seconds Windows Activation dialog will appear. You may be asked to re-activate and/or re-enter your product key or Activation may occur automatically.
If you are asked for your Key, use the one on the COA sitcker on eht machine's case

Wndows did not detect any biometric devices on this computer..

I have an HP ProBook 4540s running Windows 7 Professional w/IE11. I had to do a clean install of Windows 7 Pro and since then I cannot get my fingerprint reader to work at all. In my Control panel, under Biometric Devices, I recieve the message "Windows did not detect any biometrics devices on this computer". However, under Computer , Properties, Device Manager, Biometric Devices, the is Validity Sensors (WBF) (PID=003d).
I have tried to update, uninstall, re-install HP Simplepass, drivers, etc from the HP website, but nothing is working. Also I cannot find exactly what fingerpriint reader hardware is installed on the computer even though it is physically there as part of the original configuration.
I appreciate any assistance in resolving this issue.

CS3 Won't Show CFMX Datasources

I have a situation where new installs of Dreamweaver CS3 on
both Win XP SP2 and Mac OSX 10.4 will not show Coldfusion MX 7.0.2
datasources in the Applications/Databases panel when connecting
through RDS. I've confirmed that using DW8 on WinXP to the same
test server will properly show the datasources. On the CS3
installs, 4 out of the 5 steps in the panel get checked off. The
authentication to the RDS server passes OK.
I also tried moving the _mmServerScripts directory from the
DW8 test site to the CS3 test site (both local and remote on
server) and the CS3 versions will not see the datasources.
Any bindings defined in DW8 and saved to a page will show up
- obvious that this would work because the code is in the .cfm
file. However, the database panel for this .cfm page still shows no
datasources.
The fact that both WinXP and Mac OS X versions of CS3 exhibit
the same behaviour leads me to believe there is a fundemental flaw
somewhere in the CS3 app code.
Anyone else seeing this behavior?

Do you have index file on your site root folder like
index.cfm, index.cfml, default.cfml and so on?
DW seems not to open index file automatically if your server
directly open the root file.
In my case, I didn't create index.cfm on my root folder.
However I did create the index.cfm, I could fix it.

Having hard time with MUVO not being recognized by comput

I was able to use my MUVO one time and put music on it. Any time after that it would not get recognized when in my USB port. I downloaded the firmware and I am getting this message:
"The device is not connected to the USB port"
Any ideas on how to get this figured out would be very helpful.

Dunno if this will work for you but it did for me...
. Right-click My Computer -> Properties -> Hardware -> Device Manager
2. Check that the unit is registered on the computer (it might be in the "Other devices" category marked with a yellow exclamation mark).
3. Right-click the device name -> Update Driver:
a. "Can windows connect to the windows update to search for the software"
Select the 3rd option: "No, not this time" -> Next
b. "If your hardware comes with an installation cd insert it now"
Select the 2nd option: "Install from a list or specific location(advanced)" -> Next
c. "Please choose your search and installation options"
Select the 2nd option: "Don't search I will choose the driver to install." -> Next
d. "Hardware type"
Select "Uni'versal Serial Bus Controllers".
It will then recognise and install the MTP file it needs from Windows and the unit will be recogised.

Is enabling VI Scripting in Target properties without any functionality?

In the properties of the target "My Computer" (in a LabVIEW Project), I can enable and disable VI Scripting. But I do not see any effect of this setting. Only the global settings (Options) do have an effect. Can anybody confirm this?
Some Details:
I'm using LabVIEW 2013.
I tried with Scripting enabled in the global options and disabled in the project properties and the other way around. I opened and closed the projects and restarted LabVIEW.
A description of the effect of this setting is in the LabVIEW help.
The property of the target is in the category "VI Server", the box "Show VI Scripting functions, properties and methods" (see image below).

the global settings enable VI Scripting for your entire project. After that, you enable VI Scripting for your desired target systems, which is "My Computer" in your case.
But you're right - I tried it and the settings in the "My Computer" properties had no effect, only the global settings. I will try to get further information on this behaviour, maybe there's something we missed or it's a bug...

Olivier, I already answered your other similar question thinking you needed
this when compiling the screen.
If it's the same topic please a) avoid duplicating questions b) explain better your needs.
Are you sure you want a computed property? and which value to return? Rate Id or Rate value?
About computed properties remember that will not be easy to show them on a client screen. I'd say impossible.
Also, a business consideration: as your app seem to be an ordering system do you think it's correct that when a Rate changes, consequently all old Order Details rates have to change?
Additionally, querying on multiple related entities could lead to low performance on collections, although server side.
You should consider saving values permanently in the Order Detail entity (assuming it's the same topic as the other question).
Anyway, if you add a computed property to your entity, select your property and 'Write Code' on entity designer and choose 'MyComputedPropery_Compute' sub.
If you'll go with a standard property you can set the value in code for every insert/update, again 'Write Code' in the designer and choose 'MyEntity_Inserting' and _Updating sub.
In order to write code inside the save pipeline would be useful to learn something
here.
Working server side is all about standard VB.Net stuff once you acces to results of the same query I suggested in the other thread:

You can't use computed properties in the HTML client like how you would with the Silverlight (Desktop) client. You can, however display some 'local data items' on an HTML screen. Please follow this post by Michael Washington (http://lightswitchhelpwebsite.com/Blog/tabid/61/EntryId/185/Computed-Properties-With-the-LightSwitch-HTML-Client.aspx)
Also in that post you'll see a description of the WCF_RIA service that can be used to do this. The key difference between the two is that when you use the WCF_RIA service, you can sort or query on the computed value while using the first option, you can't.

Hi all,
I upgrated RAm on my lap top from 4 GB to 8 GB by adding extra 4 GB in an empty slot. For the first couple days computer was runnung much faster, but then slowed down a lot. Every time i am looking jat the computer properties the CPU loaded up to 25-30%. I can't even surf the internet. At first i thought that i might hade some kind of windows mistake so i reinstalled the windows and it is still running slow.
Does anyone have any input?

To perform a whole test, have you tried to REMOVE the new RAM stick and run the machine for 1 hour or 2 then put it back and do the same tasks. You can check which process causes the CPU running high under the Processes tab from Task Manager.

I want to add the company logo to the Computer Properties page via a batch file. I have already successfully done this via regedit but want it via batch so as to use it via GP
my current code is:

but it is not working.
