Data changed based on current date in Bex

Hi Gurus,
   Hope you are all doing good ! I have a scenario in queries in Bex. When the query is executed the current system date must be captured and the data must be divided by the count of the previous months.
   For instance if the query is executed today the data must be divided by 1 ( for jan)
   if it is executed next month, then the data muset be divided by 2 ( jan + feb ).
   Is there any COUNT variable in Bex ? Any idea how this could be done?

Sunitha,
You should create a variable which is not user entry and user exit as processing type. Based upon the date entered you should write code in CMOD to derive the figure with which you can divide the amount.
The logic can be something like this:...
If the user enters period like 02.2207(feb 2007), then you can pass value as 2 for the variable newly created. This is a simple code which can be written easily if you have ABAP knowledge.
Try it out.....

I have old files that I moved from a pc to a jump drive then to my mac. It seems like sometimes the modified date seems to change on its own. Sometimes it changes the update date if a file is renamed, but sometimes all it takes is moving the file.
It frequently happens when I move pictures.

There is no current date available in query.
there is a date field in the query.
If by chance the date in that field is lesser than current date, I have to suppress that row.

I have Elements 11. Sometimes, if I edit a photo in Elements Editor, the date gets changed to the current date. Why does that happen? It doesn't happen all the time, so I can't isolate the cause. Any ideas?

Copying files to my MBA Early 2011, 10.6.7 changes their 'date modified' to the current date. It happens only to some of the files copied. Any idea what my be causing it. Never had this problem before, on othe macs I have owned.

Hi all
I am bumping this thread again because I can't believe that I am the only one experiencing this issue. At times it is costing me hours repeatedly copying files until eventually the date doesn't show as modified.
I thought I had cracked it earlier by changing the Sharing & Permissions settings, and applying to enclosed items the ability for Everyone, Me and Staff fo have Read & Write permissions - but that doesn't seemed to have changed much.
Copying in smaller batches helps sometimes, but then other times it makes no odds, and the Date Modified date shows as the original date for a few seconds, only to change to today's date. Driving me nuts because there is no pattern to it.
Files which I have copied and show their original modified date, when moved to a subfolder, then have their date changed to today!!! Copying other files into the folder results in files that were previously OK having their Date Modified changed!
Am I on the only one?

Hi,
There are function modules to find out the current day of the week depending on sy-datum. These are as below:
1. DATE_COMPUTE_DAY - Returns a number indicating what day of the week the date falls on. e.g. Monday is returned as a 1, Tuesday as 2,...., Sunday as 7.
2. RH_GET_DATE_DAYNAME - Returns the day based on the date provided, e.g. Monday, Tuesday,..., Sunday.
Using any of the above, if you can find out the current day, then you can calculate and compute the date of the previous Sunday.
My observation is that using the first FM might make the calculation simpler.

Aperture Video Import Problem - from Lumix GH4: Imported clips have their dates changed to the import date. The files show up on the hard drive with import date not created date, but many of these same files are not showing up in Aperture. Sometimes the clips actually show up with the current import but take on the video information from a previously imported file.

It was suggested I move this question to IPhoto or IMovie which I did.
Well moving to a different discussion group did not provide an answer to this question either. But what I finally did was import one batch of photos and videos into IPhoto for a given day at a time. Working with these I could change the date and times in order to get them in the original sequench taken. Then I would create an album with that batch. These would all be on the same day (IMove was closed for this phase). Then I would open IMovie, generate the thumbnails for that album, and select the album I had created. This was necessary because the importing process in IPhoto was using incorrect dates for my video so it was a real struggle finding them in IMove until I developed this approach.
I believe that this whole process was so screwy because I was importing from an external hard drive not a camera. I had these photos on a PC and did not have the original cameras to use to import directly which I am fairly sure would have made this easier!

How change the Date parameter based on server date

We are using Query browser to connect to Bex Query.In BEx Query we have a date prompt which is mandatory.So by using Query prompt selector the dashboard has been created.But in our scenario the date has to be picked up from current system date/Server date and it has to change automatically when ever the dashboard has been opened.How to achieve this.

Using the query prompt selector, the date will be listed in the drop down box. Here you can see only the date available in the server. Use the "Insert selected items" option you can pass the current date using =today() function.
But the pain behind using the query prompt selector on date you have scroll a lot to search for a specific date, on this case i would suggest you to take the calender component to trigger the query. You have the same flexibility to pass the current date in this component.

I am new to Java and creating stamps in Adobe. I have been requested to create a stamp that puts the date based on the current date and time. Anything that is stamped after 3:00pm needs to show the bussiness day. Based on the dynamic stamps default in acrobat I am able to create the a stamp with the current date but can not figure out how to create the IF/Then statment to test for the current time and adjust the to the new date if needed. Please help!

I've done exactly this for a client of mine last year, although it was not on BC (but it wont matter). It was for a childrens character series, we had 4 times of the day and even seasons where the website would change colors, get lighter and darker (sun cycle) and play different sounds (frogs at night, birds during the day).
Just have 2-3 different CSS files and load each one according to the time of day or handle everything in Javascript.

How to schedule the webi report based on data changes in the report data

I want to schedule a webi report based on data change in a column in the report.
The scenario is something like below:
1. If a data of a particular column changes from 2 to 3 than I would like to schedule this report and sent it to users mail box.
I know how to apply alerts or schedule a report or data tracking for capturing changes in the report but I dont know how to schedule the report only for data changes.
Anybody done this before.

I know by using Get-Date PowerShell will look at the current date. I would like to make a very basic PS Script which will delete a file older than 8 days based on the current day. I believe using a if/then function will be necessary.
I am very new to scripting so Im not sure how the syntax is written. All help appreciated.
