Data entry using matrix object

HI,
I am new to SAP B1 and its SDK. I got struck while trying with the Turotial provided with SDK Help center - Blanket Agreement. Following are the problems.
1) The Status combo box is not having values
2) The values I entered into the Matrix columns are vanished when I navigated to next field(Combo box/Edit Text).
Please Help!
Thanks,
Ajith G.

Hi Ajith,
You should look in the example code under the subs : AddDataSource and BindDataSource
For every items in SBO, you should create the user data source and Bind it to your item
If you fail to bind it, or error were raised when binding it, your input value will be lost.
Example for an EditText created . Unique ID for this item is "txtExample"
You have to
'Declare  an user data source in global
    Private oUDS As SAPbouiCOM.UserDataSource
'And then you add the data source to your form.
Private Sub AddDataSource(ByVal FormUID As String)
      oform = sbo_Application.forms.item(FormUID)
      oUDS = oform.datasources.userdatasources.Add("txtEx", SAPbouiCOM.BoDataType.dt_SHORT_TEXT)
End SUb
'Bind The Datasource to your Item
Private Sub BindDataSource(ByVal FormUID As String)
    Dim oForm as sapbouicom.form
    Dim oEdit as sapbouicom.EditText
    oForm = sbo_application.forms.item(formUID)
    oEdit = oform.items.item("txtExample").specific
    oEdit.databind.SetBound(True,"","txtEx")
End Sub
Hope it helps

  • Use Matrix Object

    Hi
I have a problem with the Matrix Object. This object can be filled with data manually, running on the 2004C SDK, but NOT on the 2007A version. The line data can be edited, if it is filled before through DB datasource, but cannot be edited if the Matrix is empty.
So my question would be that how can we enter data to the rows of the Matrix Object manually, if the  Matrix is actually empty.
    Thanks

some rewarded points would be nice but you're new here

Does anybody know the procedure how to extract data using this ODS object?
or exists any standard Infocube to extract Business partner data?

  • ASE 15.7 how to find data entry using table page nr

    Hi,
I am looking for a dbcc () to get data when I know page number from a table
    Thank you

    Hi Isabella,
What your asking is not supported by SAP .. although you can achieve the result by using dbcc page:
    http://wiki.scn.sap.com/wiki/display/SYBASE/DBCC+page
The only problem is that the data is in binary format so you have to format it by yourself to a readable format.

  • How to use the same variable value for data entry and the planning sequence

    Hi,
    the scenario is the following:
Using the WAD template a user enters cost center plan data. The cost center is selected by the chosen value for the variable "V1".
Afterwards he shall push a button which starts a planning sequence (including saving the data and further functions). This planning sequence uses a filter that also contains the variable "V1".
What or where has it to be defined that the planning sequence uses automatically the same value for the variable "V1" as selected for the data entry?

You have to define in the planning function. The planning sequence is only a sequence and it read the planning functions underneath it.

  • Re: [SunONE-JATO] Re: Using an object to store and display data

Personally, I think there is little or no value to creating a "domain"
object that itself relies on a JATO QueryModel internally, but hides that
fact and requires use of BeanAdapterModel.
It would be more appropriate (and much less work, and more scalable) to just
derive a QueryModel subclass and add the domain-specific behavior to the
model. In other words, what's the point of creating an object that hides
JATO inside it when you're running in JATO to begin with? Now if the domain
object were doing plain JDBC, and thus trying to be JATO independent, that
would be different. However, you could still implement the Model interface
on the object (or use BeanAdapterModel) to integrate it seamlessly with the
    View tier.

Subject: [SunONE-JATO] Re: Using an object to store and display data
    Craig,
I think it all finally makes sense. First, your assumption is
correct regarding the process flow. The ViewBean will interact with
a custom Javabean which will then in turn interact with a SQL Model
to access the database. So now let me make sure I understand what I
need to do. Basically the custom Javabean will have a method to get
the SQLModel. I would then invoke the setValue method on the
SQLModel and call the appropriate execute method( e.g.,
executeUpdate, etc. ) just like I would do from a ViewBean. Does
    this sound correct?
    Thanks,
    Greg

Thanks for the help Craig. I looked at the sample code that makes
use of the BeanAdapterModel. Basically it looks like it allows a
view to interact with a bean the same way it would interact with
    any
other model. That part I think I understand.
    This is correct.
    The part I'm a little
unclear on still is how to interface this BeanAdapterModel( which
    is
a very basic model ) that I now have with a query model toactually
    interact with the database.
Not sure what you mean by "interface this BeanAdapterModel ... witha
query model". Does this mean that you have a ViewBean the interactswith
a custom JavaBean via the BeanAdpterModel wrapper, and from the
JavaBean you are interacting with the SQL Model?
So it looks like this: ViewBean > BeanAdapterModel(Custom JavaBean)
    SQL Model > RDBMS
That's what I am reading anyway. Please explain this to me.
Would I need to make direct JDBC calls
from my custom model instead of letting JATO dynamically create
    the
    calls for me?
If my assumptions above are correct, then the custom JavaBean cansimply
use the SQL Model in exactly the same manner as the ViewBean, otherwise,
if no SQL Model is involved, then yes, you need to handle JDBCdirectly,
which is fine, if you do it "right" (connection pooling, result set
    handling, etc.).
    Thanks,

Personally, I think there is little or no value to creating a "domain"
object that itself relies on a JATO QueryModel internally, but hides that
fact and requires use of BeanAdapterModel.
It would be more appropriate (and much less work, and more scalable) to just
derive a QueryModel subclass and add the domain-specific behavior to the
model. In other words, what's the point of creating an object that hides
JATO inside it when you're running in JATO to begin with? Now if the domain
object were doing plain JDBC, and thus trying to be JATO independent, that
would be different. However, you could still implement the Model interface
on the object (or use BeanAdapterModel) to integrate it seamlessly with the
    View tier.

    Craig,
I think it all finally makes sense.
    Thanks,

It is unusual for the calendar to sync and not the contacts in Outlook. I've worked with Outlook for years. You didn't answer what computer OS you are using. If it is Windows, have you tried to reset the sync history in iTunes? Do that by opening iTunes, go to Edit>Preferences>Devices and click on reset sync history. If you have done this and it doesn't help, then we can try and run scanpst.exe on your Outlook file and see if there are any errors. Search your computer for that file, however it normally resides in one of the Microsoft Office folders in the folder Program files. After that, you can see if it will sync.

  • Extract account Based COPA from R/3 using Business Object data services

    Hello,
We have a requirement to extract Account Based COPA from SAP R/3 to Teradata using Business Objects data services.
I have read couple of white papers which give information on Rapid Marts( which are built in packages) already available for some applications like inventory, GL, AP, AR etc. But I could not find anything for COPA.
Would anyone give me any information on how to use BO data services for COPA?
Also if there is no rapid mart available for COPA, does anyone know how to create custom data marts in BO Data services?
Is there any document available on this?
Please respond as soon as possible.
    Thanks.

  • Bug report: Controls in the Data Entry property page reset when using relative time

    Create a blank VI.
    Drop a numeric control.
Right click and select "Display Format".
    Change to a relative time.
Switch to the "Data Entry" tab page.
Uncheck the "Use Default Limits" boolean.
Try changing the values and you will see that they return to their previous values (inf, by default). This persists even after pressing OK and opening the dialog again. It looks like the values are held in a cache and put back into the controls, since if you change a page and go back to the limits page, it shows the correct values. I also managed to get it to display the values using the correct format (relative time), which I assume is what it should be doing.
    This is in LabVIEW 8.6.

Relative Time Data Entry Bug.vi ‏5 KB

I spent some time playing around with this in 8.6.1, and at this time do not consider it a bug - unless there is something I completely missed.
When you set to relative time, the inputs for data entry are expecting HH:MM or HH:MMS, depending on which display setting you chose.  Typing a '7' is undefined - does the user mean hours? Minutes? Seconds? Parsecs ?
Once we type in a value that matches the format and we get the display to change, it is true that from now on if we type '7' in the field, it will automatically coerce it to 7:00, if we type 36 it coerces to 36:00.  If we type 7.5, it does not change the value at all.  I think at this point, the user knows what is going on, so this behavior is acceptable.  After accepting the changes and re-opening the properties window, the limits are persistent.
I was not able to reproduce typing a '7' in the limit, having it automatically coerce back to '-inf', then going to a different tab or clicking ok, and coming back and seeing it as 7:00. It was still '-inf'.  If you have some more details on this, maybe I can reproduce it, but from everything I tried, users are be able to enter values and these values are saved.
Edit - I am aware of the other forum post and the CAR filed there...

  • Data entry form to submit to a web Service using webcenter

Currently using Jdev 11.1.1.3, but have potential to upgrade to 11.1.1.4 or 5
Most examples I see in the docs is using web services in webcenter is to display data but I need to pass data to a web service to process the data.
Considering ways to show on a webcenter page a data entry form to send the entered data to a web service. Potential ways:
    1. Use Omniportlet that is based on a web service and define for each of the fields a parameter mapped to a displayed field. Submit the data to the web service to be processed.
    2. Use ADF syntax to create a web service proxy. Create a form with the needed fields, code a managed bean that uses the proxy code to submit the entered data in the form. Place the form on the webCenter page, but the webcenter already have a <af:form>, so a partialSubmit and autoSubmit set to "true" might be needed.
Haven't used either and would greatly appreciate ideas and suggestions.
    Thanks

With the omniportlet, you'll also have to test the form and so on :)
My suggestion is indead an extra step but it is more flexible than just creation a DC from a WSDL. I already have done some implementation in Webcenter for web services and i started by just using the DC from a WSDL but soon i noticed that i needed more flexibility. That's why i suggest to create a proxy and create your own layer in front of it. This way you can easily control what you expose to your DC and do some initializations were needed. It offers a great deal of flexibility. That's why i suggest using the proxy + dc instead of wsdl + dc.
When you should decide for migrating to Webcenter PS3, you can even expose datacontrols to your resource catalog. This way you can create your DC in JDeveloper and allow the business users to put the data controls on the page. a realy nice feature.

In my opinion, DAO pattern would be suitable for you. Generally the DAO (Data Access Object) will have the CRUD (create, read, update, delete) methods to retrieve data from data-source (e.g. database). Based on the data it will create the DTOs (Data Transfer Objects) and pass them to the caller. It will also receive the DTOs from the caller and save it the data-source. Thus in your case you can
    - remove the CRUD methods from the Business Objects (BO) and make them pure DTOs and use them with DAOs (If you are using JDBC codes inside your application and you don't have much of validation or processing logic in your BOs).
    http://www.corej2eepatterns.com/Patterns2ndEd/DataAccessObject.htm
    OR
    - use BOs in combination in DAOs (if using the database connection from a pool and BOs are having complicated processing logic).
