Data in Call_Type_Real_Time resets to 0 if Progger(PG) restarts

Hi all,
I have the following situation. In UCCE 7.5.7, we wrote in house a web page(wallboard) with some statistics from dbo.Call_Type_Real_Time view/table.
The problem is: after we restart one of Proggers for test purposes the data from this view/table is set to 0.
I saw this in web-view help:
"Real-time Data Storage
ICM/IPCC Enterprise software stores real-time records in real-time database tables on the ICM Administrator Workstation (AW). Data is collected and updated continuously for 5-minute and 30-minute intervals. You can also select report update intervals (for displayed reports) in 15, 20, 30, or 60-second increments.
At the end of each 30-minute interval, the statistics are written to half-hour tables.
Real-time records do not accumulate in the real-time database tables in the way that historical records do. Each update overwrites the existing record.
Note: If there is a failover in the Peripheral Gateway (PG), the WebView real-time data is set to zero. The real-time data is built up again after the failover, if the PG supports reconstructing the real-time data from the switch".
I want to be able to extract data from this table/view even after Progger's failover. What do I have to configure for this? I have two Proggers with duplexed Generic PG for CUCM and IVR. Is it possible? Does this type of PG support "reconstructing the real-time data"? If not, what would be the proper solution? If the statistics are written to half-hour tables at the end of each 30-minute interval, what will happen with calls offered in the interval when one of Proggers were down and the real-time table was set to zero? I am thinking at this because I intend to extract the statistics from Call_Type_Half_Hour view if there is no solution for "reconstructing real-time data".
Thanks in advance,
Cristian

Call Type statisitics should be maintained on a Central Controller level, not per PG so whatever fail-over you do on the PGs shouldn't matter. These Real Time values should be maintained and updated within Router memory. Since ICM Routers run in lockstep, I'd be highly surprised if you manage to reset this data by just stopping or otherwise making one Central Controller side unavailable.
When running an exit_router, which essentially kills both Routers at the same time, the real-time data does get lost and I don't think there's much you can do about that. From some quick tests I would say that the same is true for any historical data for that Half Hour. On a PG level (Skill Groups etc.), OPC can maintain this data in *.hst files, but I dont't hink the Router can do that.
So if are looking at Call Types and see all 0's after just 'disabling' one progger, you should be able to resolve that part. Has your AW been configured with the correct SideB Central Controller information so it can get it's real-time stream from the other progger?
You may also want to play around with rttest to see if the data is really gone after a fail-over from Router memory or just not readable from your AW. Here's an example from my lab.
C:\>rttest /cust ipcc
RTTEST Release 7.5.1.0 , Build 23684
rttest: expr CallType.sales_ct.CallsRoutedToday
Result: (long) 1rttest: exit_routerrttest: expr CallType.sales_ct.CallsRoutedToday
Result: (long) 0rttest:

  • "Date Added" gets reset when importing iTunes library

I have recently made the switch from a PC to a MacBook. I copied my previous iTunes Music Library.xml file over and followed the Apple instructions to import all my music ratings, playcounts, etc. in to the new iTunes library (deleting the iTunes Library.itl file and importing the old library through Library>Import Playlist). Everything copied over fine except the "Date Added," which resets to today's date. I also tried copy & pasting the old library text into the new iTunes Library.xml file, and it still reset itself once I opened iTunes. I have used this process before in switching to a new PC and it kept the "Date Added" information.
Does anyone know if this is an issue with the new versions of iTunes? The version is 8.0.2. Or is it an issue with switching from PC to Mac? More importantly, does anyone have any ideas on how to keep my "Date Added"? I use it regularly for sorting music and for Smart Playlists.
    Any help would be appreciated!

I'll second the question! I just moved my music from my MBP to my new iMac, and the date added is today's date for all of the songs from my library on my MBP. Please post if you find answer redhead828. Thanks!

I supposed its in warranty yet. THX
Your MBP has a one year hardware warranty on it.
As Trey suggested, it wouldn't hurt to try an SMC reset. If that doesn't work, you definitely want to contact AppleCare so you get it taken care of under warranty.

Despite ticking the box "remove all website data", when I reset Safari not  all stored cookies are eliminated. How can I overcome the problem? Or is it a bug?

I have done a little experimenting: 1-close all open windows (I found that I had to do this step in order to keep Safari from hanging-will be explained later). 2: Remove all data in Prefs. 3: Immediately close the prefs window (no window should be open at this point) and quit Safari. Try to complete step 3 fast as possible; I have it down to a few seconds. The reason I urge you to close all windows is that Safari hangs until forced to quit upon immediately quitting after removing cookies. I think the auto page reload in Lion is the cause of these hiccups but I can't be sure about that. The hasty quit I found is crucial to success. Don't know why that is but it could prevent the data from re-populating. A quick flush, if you will.  Hit me back if you need any of my suggestions clarified; a bit wordy, I know

  • Recovering data after factory reset (security issue)

    Hello there,
Recently a friend of mine asked me how to erase all data on an iPhone ? I pointed to him to "factory reset".
Now, I see a bunch of websites that show how to recover data after factory reset using their software, not sure if they work as advertised or not.
What I would like to know is if the user wants the data to be erased and non-recoverable, is this the best option or if there is any other option available in iPhone that can make the data un-recoverable. We want to make sure the data is un-recoverable after factory reset.
    thanks
    Ashish Shah

unfortunately this doesn't answer my question.
I do know the option to "erase all content and settings" in iPhone.
What I want to know is to make sure once done, no one can recover that data back. Since this phone will be sold off to some stranger, we don't want them to have access to the data.
Here are a few websites from my just preliminary search results that show how to recover data.
just google "extracting data after factory reset iPhone" and you will see a bunch of websites offering their products to recover. So I want to check if this is so simple, how can we really make sure the data is wiped off clean.

  • Date modified timestamps resetting on login (mouse user preferences reset)

    Hi,
Using network accounts on 10.8.2 off a 10.8.2 server.
All files in user directory have 'date modified' timestamps reset to login time.
    This occures for all users.
This I believe is also causing mouse user preferences to be reset on login.
Has anyone come across this problem?
I migrated from 10.7.4 Server to 10.8 Server
    Any ideas anyone?

    Hi
I am just "happy" to see that I'm not the only one having the exact same trouble.
The "date modified" resets to last login time, user preferences (particularly some of the trackpad, keyboard and dock prefs) are thrown away and in part reset to some default values.
My setup is various iMacs with their HomeDirectories on the server, all machines with 10.8.2 (Server) installed.
    Could Apple help?

Just an update it is a hardware issue and very common for iPhone 4s. I have to get my phone rewired which basically means new wireless chip. The amount of money I spent on buying an iPhone I should not expect to have anyway hardware problems happening. Make sure you have a warranty as luckily I've saved myself from spending more money to get this problem fixed.

  • HT1689 I keep getting the error: Cannot connect to ITunes Store. I recently updated the iOS on the ipad3. Have tried heaps of fixes as suggested in various threads. DNS, date and time, reset etc

I am a fairly new apple user, just got the new ipad, as part of an evaluation program. I recently did an iOS update and now keep getting the error message:cannot connect to iTunes Store... I tried date changing - no good ... The only thing that worked was to change the DNS setting to 0.0.0.0 as described in another thread. This fix for a day and now still getting the same error message and DNS setting changes do nothing. I have tried the reset method several times to no avail. I'm beginning tho think the ipad wasn't a great idea.... Apple need to attend to this. Like many, I have already wasted too much time looking for a fix. I am part of an IT in education group that will soon be recommending a specific hardware and OS. Could result in the loss of thousands of ipad sales for apple ....
Anyhow... All or any suggestions are welcome :)

Also, I've just learned that I can connect to download new apps, but cannot update any apps I've downloaded in the past. How might I go about connecting my reset apple ID with its history from before it was reset? I assume that is the biggest issue.

  • In Which R/3 Table, the Extraction Date should be RESET to Limit DELTA ???

    Hi all,
We have a daily delta extraction setup for DataSource 0FI_GL_4 from R/3 into ODS. I think there is a table on R/3 side where we could RESET the extraction date (?) to limit the delta reload incase something goes wrong with delta process. Without this reset, it may take 2-3 WEEKS for us.
Is any one has any idea about this table , PLEASE....
    Thanks.

    hi Venkat,
check oss note 485958-BW-BCT-FI: Repeating delta extractions
    Symptom
This note provides the option of repeating delta extractions under certain conditions.
The note is valid for the DataSources listed below:
0FI_AP_4 - Accounts Payable: Line Items
0FI_AR_4 - Accounts Receivable: Line Items
0FI_GL_4 - General Ledger: Line Items

0FI_AP_7 - Accounts Payable: Special G/L Transaction Figures Using Delta Extraction
0FI_AR_7 - Accounts Receivable:  Special G/L Transaction Figures Using Delta Extraction
0FI_GL_7 - General Ledger:  Cost of Sales Accounting Ledger Using Delta Extraction
0FI_AR_8 - Accounts Receivable: Credit Management: Central Data Using Delta Extraction
0FI_AR_9 - Accounts Receivable:  Credit Management: Control Area Data Using Delta Extraction
0FI_AR_10 - Accounts Receivable: Payment History Using Delta Extraction
    Other terms
    BWOM2_TIMEST, TIMESTAMP, BWOM_SETTINGS, LAST_TS, delta, init
    Reason and Prerequisites
For test or correction purposes you require a function to repeat delta extractions.
In the standard system, you can repeat the delta extractions for the last sixty days.
The number of days is defined by the 'DELTIMEST' parameter in the BWOM_SETTINGS table.
For all DataSources mentioned above you can repeat the delta extraction without problems because all DataSources use an ODS object. The system automatically filters out data that is selected several times.
    Solution
The solution consists of resetting the time stamps used for the delta extraction in the BWOM2_TIMEST table to a certain date.
To do this, you must reset the 'X' marker in the 'LAST_TS' column for the last successful delta extraction.
The next delta extraction then loads all data created or changed as of this date to the BW system.
To reset the 'X' marker in the 'LAST_TS' column, use the 'BWOM2_TIMEST' report. If the report is not yet available in you system, you can install it as described in Note 836288.
    Caution - important note
If you repeat several delta extractions in a run using this note, the number of the extracted records will in most cases be smaller than the total of the individual delta extractions.
This can happen in the following cases:
If documents are contained in several individual delta extractions due to document changes. The system selects these documents only once.
If you have set parameter BWFIOVERLA = X in the BWOM_SETTINGS table. (See Note 485958)
In this case, the upper limit of the period for the data selection is not, as usual, 23:59:59 of the previous day. The system also extracts all existing documents of the current day. These documents are also contained in the following delta extraction.
    1. If you can load the expected data volume in one delta extraction, proceed as follows:
Execute the 'BWOM2_TIMEST' report for the relevant DataSource.
Remove the marker in the entry of the last delta extraction.
In the columns for the date of the time stamp and the time of the time stamp, you can see up to when the individual data extractions have extracted data.
Select the entry up to which the data in your BW system is still correct.
    Save the changes.
Do not make any further changes in the BWOM2_TIMEST table.
The next delta extraction uses the date + 1 of the selected entry as a lower limit for the data selection and the current date - 1 for the upper limit.
    2. If you must load the expected data volume in several parts, proceed as follows:
Caution: There are the following two cases:.
    a) The 'BWFIOVERLA' parameter in the BWOM_SETTINGS table is not set.
The next delta extraction uses the date + 1 of the selected entry as a lower limit for the data selection.
You can control the upper limit for the data selection by changing the ' BWFISAFETY' parameter in the BWOM_SETTINGS table. The upper limit is determined using the current date minus the value of the 'BWFISAFETY' parameter (default = 1).
If you want to extract the data of the last twenty days in four parts, for example, set the parameter as follows in Transaction SE16:
    before the 1. delta extraction > > BWFISAFETY = 15
    before the 2. delta extraction > > BWFISAFETY = 10
    before the 3. delta extraction > > BWFISAFETY = 5
    before the 4. delta extraction > > BWFISAFETY = 1 (= default)
    b) The 'BWFIOVERLA' parameter in the BWOM_SETTINGS table is set (=X).
First, deactivate the 'BWFIOVERLA' parameter in the BWOM_SETTINGS table. This is necessary because if you do not do this, the system ignores the settings of the 'BWFISAFETY' parameter.
Execute the 'BWOM2_TIMEST' report for the relevant DataSource.
Remove the marker in the entry of the last delta extraction.
In the columns for the date of the time stamp and the time of the time stamp you can see up to when the individual data extractions have extracted data.
Do NOT select the entry up to which the data in your BW system is still correct, rather select the entry before that.
               Save the changes.
Do not make any further changes in the BWOM2_TIMEST table.
If for example you want to extract the data of the last twenty days in four parts, set the parameter in Transaction SE16 as follows:
    before the 1. delta extraction > > BWFISAFETY = 15
    before the 2. delta extraction > > BWFISAFETY = 10
    before the 3. delta extraction > > BWFISAFETY = 5
    before the 4. delta extraction > > BWFISAFETY = 1 (= default)
and parameter BWFIOVERLA = X to return to the originaldelta mode.

Go to the App Store and check out the Purchases List. If iPhoto is there then it will be v9.6.1
If it is there, then drag your existing iPhoto app (not the library, just the app) to the trash
Install the App from the App Store.
Sometimes iPhoto is not visible on the Purchases List. it may be hidden. See this article for details on how to unhide it.

One question often asked: Will I lose my Photos if I reinstall?
iPhoto the application and the iPhoto Library are two different parts of the iPhoto programme. So, reinstalling the app should not affect the Library. BUT you should always have a back up before doing this kind of work. Always.

  • 2nd Gen iTouch Date/Time Randomly reseting?

Using 2.2 firmware with 32GB iTouch the system date and time get set to some random new date time from past.
    1) So far the random date-time has always been in the past.
    2) Somehow related to iTouch being connected to PC.
    3) Might be related to Sync [but not always].
    4) Might be related to Vista going into sleep mode while iTouch is connected.
    Any fixes or work-arounds?

I have the exact same problem and I have narrowed it down to the corruption occurring after my PC goes into sleep mode. I get the same failure on my two machines. One is a desktop running Vista and the other is a Thinkpad running Windows XP. I also discovered that I did not have a problem using my laptop to charge my ITouch until I loaded it with ITunes. I deliberately put it into sleep mode before loading ITunes and it worked fine when it came out of sleep mode. I then loaded it with ITunes today to see what would happen and sure enough the clock and time got reset to a random date and time once it came out of sleep mode. I have had this problem with the 2.1 and the 2.2 level of code on the ITouch with my Vista machine and it was only today that I tried my experiment with my laptop machine. I hope that Apple can come up with a fix soon, as this problem is very annoying, since I cannot leave my Itouch connected for any length of time without the clock going bonkers.

Yes, it can be fixed, but it's not an easy task.
It depends on the iMac you own. To have an idea have a look at this guide

  • Date and Time Reset

I've got my clock set to synch automatically, but everytime I turn on my machine the date is set for Jan. 1970. I'm thinking it has something to do with the firewall on my wireless network, as I have to tell my airport to connect to the network (as opposed to it just doing it). But why reset to 1970? Why wouldn't the clock simply just keep going?

Durden, Welcome to the discussion area!
The iBook does NOT have a separate PRAM battery. It only has the single large battery. So the other suggestions of replacing the PRAM battery won't work for you.
Have you tried resetting the PRAM?
Have you tried resetting the PMU?
