Data Insights Dashboard Run Error

Hello all,
I have a few column queries defined in Data Insights. I want to make these part of a Dashboard Report. When creating the report I am able to save the report as one would expect. Then, when I try to run the report I get an error message from Data Insights.
Error: Ora-01843: not a valid month
None of the column queries are date columns and the only date on the run dashboard report screen is the one to select the date range to return the dashboard summary from. These are drop down, calendar picker entries.
Any ideas on what the error is or how to get around it?

Ryan,
I think your issue might have to do with the nls_date_format variable that is being used by Oracle Client. It is usually something like this:
NLS_DATE_FORMAT = "MM/DD/YYYY"
You might want to check to make sure that the setting is the same everywhere (your desktop, the Query Engine, and the database where your repository is located).
My guess is that one of them is using a different data format and that it is causing you to get this error when it tries to generate the dashboard report based date range.

Hi Jack,
The process of Attribute change run is just the activation of the Master data same as DSO's.
In RSA1>tools>Apply Hierarchy/Attribute change run(CRTL+F9). You can check your object for which the attribute change run has to be applied through the infoobject list.
Then execute. now the attribute change run is completed.
Please ensure the infoobject is activated.
Provide us the error message to give you more details.

Data transfer schedule run error-object variable/with block variable no set

I want to automate a Data Transfer Workbench routine.
I created the appropriate xml file but when I run the .bat file I get the following error: "Object variable or with variable not set."
I think that the problem resides in the xml file but there is no documentation for the xml syntax so it's impossible to correct it.

Solved.
The problem was in the .bat syntax.
At the -s option the filename doesnt need quotation marks.

Im not sure if the rfc connection to the SAP ERP is functional because this error appears:

Viewing data from tables is working but viewing data from views gives errors above.

well that makes sense, I did't see the transport files you mentioned in the Transport Queue in the
ERP system.
But, in KB 1971036 it is explained that the newer transport files should be imported from
OSS Note 1916294 after deleting the functions /BODS/BODS. (see attachment)
Do you think I should import first the transport files from the Admin
directory, then reimport those from note 1916294 or not ?

No Data Shown because an error occurred while running the query

Discoverer 10gR2 using Plus on Firefox:
I have one workbook. The first sheet summarizes by Vendor. Parameters are Type, Category, Vendor (all optional) and mandatory date range.
The second sheet summarized by Vendor and Model. Parameters are Type, Category, Vendor, Model (all optional) and mandatory date range.
All parameters except the extra "Model" are shared between the sheets.
When I run the Vendor sheet, parameters pop up, I put in dates and leave the rest blank. Results display. Yeah!
When I then run the Model sheet, parameters pop up again (because it has one more parameter). Dates carry forward, leave the rest blank. I get the error No Data Shown because an error occurred while running the query. Refreshing does not help.
If I click back to the Vendor sheet, then come back to the Model sheet, no parameter screen and the query runs.
Booooo.
Have tried multiple DBs, multiple EULs, multiple underlying data sources, replacing the offending parameter with a whole new one, no difference.
Has any body run into this behavior? Is there an answer?

What about trying this. On the parameter definition, you have a section on the bottom left of the Parameters window, called "Do you want to allow different parameter values for each worksheet?". When you say in your posting that all but the Model parameter is shared, I assume you mean that you have set this section value to "Allow only one set of paratmeter values for all worksheets". Try setting this to "Allow different parameter values for each worksheet". See if that might make a difference for you. If that works, you may have to leave the option at this, as the lesser of your evils. From my limited experience, the "Allow only one set of parameter mvalues for all worksheets" is a bit flaky in how it works. So I pretty much have gone to always saying to allow different parameter values for each worksheet. Hope this helps a bit. If worse comes to worse, if you have not done so already, log a service request with support and see what they say. Good luck.

Error while realigning aggregates through master data attr. change run

Hi all,
We are using Sales Overview cube (SD_C03) on which we have built aggregates. now during the master data attribute change run it tries to realign the aggregate once the master data is loaded via Process chain. In this step we are facing an error:
"Error while procesing aggregate <aggregate technical name>"
From ST22 we can find
Database error text........: "ORA-14400: inserted partition key does not map to any partition"
Internal call code.........: "[RSQL/INSR//BIC/F200009 ]".
Whereas from SM21 we can find out:
Database error 14400 at INS access to table /BIC/F200009.
/BIC/F200009 is the fact table of one of the aggreates we have. really looking forward to your valuable suggestion.

I googled it and found some topics at TechNet but I could not figure it out. Alert description is shown below

As I understand, this issue occurs and remains after I configure a subscription with too many rules and/or monitors( i.e al available rule and/or monitor of a management pack).
After I had deleted those subscription with many rule/monitor, this issue was resolved.

Running Data Insight as a service on a 2008 server

The service is created and started but when the GUI starts it does not see that the engine is running as a service

Is a MIDP application can turning on the phone's cell broadcast reception and adding subscribed cell broadcast channels?

Create customer date trough class cmd_ei_api - error in test run

Hi all,
I try to use class cmd_ei_api to create customer. It works fine but one thing is strange.
When I pass data with test run and customer is in a group with internal nummering system icrease number every time when i run program. Customer is not created ( that is good) but the assigned nummer is lost.
I tried to use method maintain_bapi and maintain.Problem occurs every time.
Do you have the same problem? Do you know solution of this problem?

Hi experts, I am using cmd_ei_api to create customer. Each time when I create the customer, for the customer number KUNNR, first the method picks a new number from number range, if I don't supply one in program. Then it makes the necessary checks on customer data. If data check is success, customer is created and everything is okay. But if the check is failed, no customer gets created in the Data base, but the picked number is lost forever. Is there a way to avoid this?
      The same happens, even when I ran it in Test Mode(iv_test_run = 'X'). A number is lost irrespective of whether the test run is success or not.
      I tried supplying the customer number via the program. I this case also, I had to get a number from the Number Range and supply. As the Method validates whether the supplied number belongs to the right number range, I cannot use any dummy number(not even for a Test run). Also it validates whether a customer exists in KNA1 with the supplied number.
      As a work around, now I am supplying the last number of the number range for the test run(which I have hard coded ~not a good practice!!). If this runs error free, I will pick a new number and creates the customer.

Can not open data grids or run reports in HFM

We created an application and have been working in it for weeks without any issues. Just recently once we open the app, we can longer open data grids or run financial grids. The system just hangs and we do not get an error message. Has anyone experienced this? We are wondering if it is a space issue on one of the data base tables.

I would start by checking with your DBA to see if you have any issues with table space. Next, i would log onto the HFM servers and see if you have any errors being recorded in the Application Event View. If you do have errors in your Event Viewer, can you please post them?

Date format in log/error messages

Hi there,
Is there a way to change the date format in log/error messages in ttmesg.log & tterror.log files ?
In my log files, only the hour is specified but I wish I could get the day each single line has been logged.

FlatFile Connection ?
After that I created new Plan & generate the parameter and also built it successfully but when I run that execution plan it give error.

When attempting to create a new Account in siebel integrated with OEDQ the following error occurs.

STEPS
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1) from EDQ director we have imported the EDQ_CDS,EDQ-REFERENCE DATA & EDQ_HISTORICAl DATA packages sucessfully.
2) Created dnd.param file in SIebel server SDQCOnnector folder.
3) Copied the libdnd.so file to siebsrvr lib directory(32 bit)
3) In dnd.param file we have mentioned the javalib file and instllation directory path(<Siebsrvr roo>/dnd/install)
4) Unzipped the EDQ-Siebel Connector files in dnd/install folder
5) Copied the dnd.properties file in dnd/install directory and modified it accordingly to point to installed EDQ instance.
6) Configured the Siebel components for EDQ integration.
7) Realtime EDQ jobs are running.
8) Create a new Account

On : 8.2.2.14 [IP2014] version, Client Functionality
EDQ 11.1.1.7.4
IBM JDK 1.7 32 bit
Using Open UI
Any Champ have faced this issue and overcame it please let me know the resolution steps. your help is

- What version of the Siebel connector are you using?
- Which libdnd.so file are you using?
- What's the contents of your dnd.parms file?
