Data ONTAP Controller Committed Space Percentage Report - no data in report

Hi!
The OnTap report doesn't contain any data, but when I check the rule, it is enabled. Why can this be? See Attached pictures

• When I Conditional Supress the page footer. It occupy space in report

I am designing Crystal report with multiple page footers.Initially I have suppressed all page footer. Each page footer is un suppressed against a specific Test Id (db Field). I have done this with formula for each page footer.
The problem is when Page footer is suppress it occupy space in report.
Provide solution plz.

Can you recreate the entire footer as a formula field? If so:
1. create the formula field using an if-then-else statement to poplulate the field:
WhilePrintingRecords;
IF PageNumber = 1
THEN 'text' + text data + (chr(9) + totext(numeric/date data) + chr(13) + 'text data' + etc...
Chr(9) = tab
Chr(13) = next line
2. Place the formula field in the page footer using as little space as possible.
3. Enable the formula field's "Can Grow" property.
4. You could try setting the formula fields conditional suppression to PageNumber <> 1. Not sure if this is necessary, but it can't hurt.
This may do the trick for you.

• Commitment Line Item report - BE and Settlement Unit issue

Dear experts,
Request your kind help.
This is with respect to viewing the commitment line item report in ECC 6 for RE-FX master data objects. There are two scenarios.
Scenario 1
Purchase requisition (PR) is created with a business entity (BE) as an Account Assignment object. After the PR is released the same is used to create a Purchase Order (PO). After the PO has been successfully created, I am running the Commitment Line Item report (REISCOLIBD) giving the BE number as a search parameter. The report shows perfectly the PO and the amount of commitment.
Scenario 2
Purchase requisition (PR) is created with a BE as a Account Assignment object. Further to that under the Settlement section, inside the RE Obj box I am also specifying the Service Charge Key, the Settlement Unit and the Ref Date. After the PR is released the same is used to create a Purchase Order (PO). After the PO has been successfully created, I am running the Commitment Line Item report (REISCOLIBD), again by mentioning only the BE number as the input parameter. This time the report does not show the PO at all under commitment line items and instead gives the message "no line items were selected". But here is the catch. When I am running the transaction KSB2 and I am clickng on 'further selection criteria' and then 'Ref Doc num' and then typing the PO number and then running the report, it shows the result perfectly.
Can someone please tell me why in the second scenario, the transaction REISCOLIBD is failing to capture the data related to commitment line items?
Please refer to Note 1271310 to see how to adapt the transaction REISCOLIBD to suit the needs for Commitment Line Item report.

Hello all,
I have been able to find the answer. As of now Commitment Line Item report for any master data for service charge settlement does not exist and and as such wont be available.

• CJI5 commitment line item report not showing po gross value

Dear All,
system is showing only net value in CJI5 report, actaully gross value of po must be reflected in CJI5 report and this happening in all po's like material, service's etc. example is as follows.
Example:
po net value: 1000
st 10%: 100
po gross value : 1100 (inclusive of all taxes, ed, disc. etc)
what could be the reason for not showing po gross value in commitment line item report.
Thanks & Regards,
Sandeep

Hi,
As far as i know the commitment report will never show you the value that is inclusive of taxes. It will only show the net value of the PO.
I just tried a scenario in my system by creating a PO for a net value of 3000 GBP and based on the tax code i entered system calculated a tax of 525 GBP. However when i check CJI5 report it shows only 3000 GBP as commitment and not 3525 GBP. This is how the standard system behaves, i believe. You can cross check this in the table COOI. The COOI table also shows the net value of the PO and does not include the tax amount in commitment.

• Help with multiple date percentage report

Dear all,
I am having problems with getting percentage right on my report which is set to YTD however I am counting records for Last 5 days, Last 4 weeks and Current Date.
I am getting the records perfectly right as I have created 3 different Groups for them. The Running Totals are counting the correct number of records.
As I have two Running totals for each job (Credit Job + Free of Charge Job), these two jobs are getting added up in the report.
For example
YTD formula
Running total of Credit Job + Running Total of Free of Charge Job = Total Jobs
Last 5 Days formula
Running total of Credit Job + Running Total of Free of Charge Job = Total Jobs
Last 4 Weeks formula
Running total of Credit Job + Running Total of Free of Charge Job = Total Jobs
Current Date formula
Running total of Credit Job + Running Total of Free of Charge Job = Total Jobs
To get the grand total of these records, I have created another formula which counts all the above YTD records, L5D records and displays them in the report footer. Grand Total is showing up correctly.
Now, What I want is the percentage of each record, i.e. the percentage of YTD records, L5D records etc.
I have created a formula which counts the percentage but incorrectly.
Here is the formula
Whileprintingrecords;
Numbervar b:=0;
numbervar n:=0;
numbervar m:=0;
b:={@TotalJobsFOCRL5D}; // this is total job, (Credit+Free of charge jobs)
n:={@TotalJobsFOCRL5DGT}; //GT is the grand total showing in report footer
If b=0 then 0 else //if total jobs = 0 then answer is 0
m:=(b/n)*100; // divide total jobs with grand total
totext(m,2)+"%"; //show as percentage
This formula does show the percentage but divides each job by itself. So if Total Jobs = 9 then it shows 100% whereas Grand Total is 479.
Could someone please help me getting the correct percentage.
The percentage formula is placed on the respective group footer.
Regards
Jehanzeb

• A string of spaces in middle of data shrinks to just one space in report.

My report returns data that can contain more than one space in a string. For example, the code value that should be displayed in my report should be "OM 12". Please note that there are three spaces between the "OM" and the "12". (I had to work hard just to get those three spaces to display properly in this note.)
If I set the "Define As" property on the Column Attributes page to "Standard Report Column", the value displayed in my report is "OM 12". It has only one space between the "OM" and the "12".
If I set the "Define As" property on the Column Attributes page to "Text Field", the value presented in my report is "OM 12". It has the expected three spaces between the "OM" and the "12".
But I don't want to present my report on-screen with text fields; I want to use the standard report column. How can I do that, and not lose the multiple spaces, without using the REPLACE() function to replace spaces with "& nbsp"?
Thanks,
-Ken

As discussed in Re: Preserving leading spaces in a report column..
Thought I'd figured out where I went wrong with the HTML Expression on that occasion and unchecked "Strip HTML" from the Report Properties. Left the <pre> but stripped the spaces? Very odd...

• Problems after space error reported

My Time Capsule device has worked perfectly for months and deletes old backups as necessary when there is insufficient space for a new backup. I'm using a 500Gb device to backup a Mac Pro and a G4 Powerbook - no problems until yesterday.
During a backup I received an error message - this gist of it was "Time Capsule encountered an unexpected space problem during a backup and will create space next time". Expecting this problem to be resolved automatically I clicked OK and carried on working. The problem I now have is that Time Capsule has been preparing for backup for several hours (across two consecutive days) now and shows no sign of starting a new backup.
I left the MacPro running overnight yesterday but the new backup had not started when I started work this morning. I restarted the MacPro this morning (8 hours ago) and prompted Time Capsule to "Backup Now" - it has been eight hours and the backup has not started - it is still "preparing".
I have looked in the system log and can see messages containing write error 28 and something to do with "needs recovery" (see below) but this way above my level of expertise.

Is this just Time Capsule carrying out a deep traversal (there's no mention in the log) or do I have a problem with the TC device? I'd be very grateful for any help or suggestions.
Kind regards,

I think I got it.
Open Terminal, type "hdiutil compact " and drag the sparsebundle onto the terminal window, so that it copies the right path. Hit return and let it free some space. The sparsebundles do not automatically compact themselves when they delete some old backups, so doing it manually did the trick for me.
After completing, I had some 40 GB space again and the backup worked again.

• Vendor purchase contracts as a commitment in project reporting

We are able to see all Purchase Requisitions and Purchase orders as a commitment in Project Systems reports such as S_ALR_87013588 or CJI5 but are not able to see vendor Purchase Contracts until a PO is written. Is this normal behavior?
When creating a purchase contract we enter an assignment of P for project and a WBS element in the account assignment which indicates to me this should show as a commitment much like a purchase requisition.
Any thoughts on vendor purchase contracts as a commitment item?
Thanks,
Jeff

As suggested by muzamil in PS you can find mainly three kind of commitment, which get recored based on value category, & you can check the same in CJI5. Commitments are exclusively generated from purchase orders, purchase requisitions, funds commitments and funds reservations.
Check out CJI5 for that particular WBS.
As I understand contract is business agreement between your company and vendor for the supply of Goods , Material / Service at specified rate for specified period.
Once PR / PO is created that is obligation that you want this goods on this date. As the time is fixed, So, you are going to pay for the same in near future.
It's correct behavior only.

• Why suppressed grand total in crosstab still occupy the space in report?

I have suppressed the grand total in crosstab in Crystal Reports 2008.
It's not shown in crosstab correctly.
However, the grant total is still occupying the space in the report layout.
How is that?
Isn't it strange?

Hi Graham,
I have one more interesting finding.
Because I haven't found the Extreme XML or mdb, I have downloaded the "XML data sources for the Crystal Reports 2008 sample reports" from "Business Objects Downloads"
I have tried to use the XML balance_sheet1 as datasource and set as below:
Rows - Account_Type
Columns - Account_Name
Summerized Fields - Amount
There should be five rows and lots of columns. In design mode, the Grand total field is taking space as usual and I can only align the Page Header border right next to it.
However, after reviewing data, the ONE row in design mode is "expanded" to FIVE rows to adjust the real data.
It's found that the Grand total field is NOT taking space and the Page header section is closed next to the data row in crosstab.
And so I wonder whether it's due to the special data problem in my crosstab.
My crosstab is special and It's designed to have EXACT ONE row only, all the detail are placed in summerized fields and so that means only the columns will expand depending on the real data.
I did this to the XML balance_sheet1 as well by making a dummy Text formula field as Rows fields and make the summerzed fields have several fields and my case appears.
I believe there is some BUG for this case.

Try adding -c "energy_full" to the battery plugin args.
You can also add -f "/sys/class/power_supply/AC0/online" if you don't have proper AC status in xmobar.

• ORACLE DATABASE SPACE USAGE report not showing all databases in 11g

Hi All,
I have scheduled "Oracle Database Space Usage (Group)" report for all databases available in the OEM11g. But in the report i am not able to see all the databases in the group. Can any one please help on this.
Regards,
GK

We had the same problem in 12c EM. This had to something with "tablespace allocation metric". This metric was disabled for some databases. This could be your case in 11g also. This metalink note might worth seeing .
Oracle Database Tablespace Monthly Space Usage shows no data (Doc ID 1536654.1)

• Wasted space on report

I have a report with the following structure:
FRAME
REPEATING FRAME
FRAME 1
FRAME 2
REPEATING FRAME 1
The FRAME1 should appear in the first page only (and ir does), and the RF1 is in master-detail with RF, so should get printed in all pages.
Problem is, in each page, it appear the space (blank) taken by the FRAME1 (altough no data is printed).
All frames and repeating frames are set to vertical elasticity "variable".
Thank you for any help

FRAME
REPEATING FRAME
FRAME 1
FRAME 2
REPEATING FRAME 1
FRAME is a frame wich contains everything... and is set to variable (vertical elasticity).
REPEATING FRAME contains the master query; and contains FRAME1, FRAME2, RF1
FRAME 1 constains data of the master query. Every report has 1 record from the master query, so FRAME1 should appear 1 time (and it does)
FRAME2 contains RF1. It is set to variable (vertical elasticity).
RF1 contains detail-query. It appears n times in report.
Both FRAME 2 and RF1 has page protected set to YES. I put FRAME2 page protect to NO, and aparently the problem was fixed... not sure WHY, but it works... at least this time.

• Pass parameter with blank space for report ver 6

Hi,
I face a problem that i willing to pass the acno where it's value with blank space, for example ' 9' as parameter into my report, and assign it as v_acno. Inside the report query i add a where condition, acno >= :v_acno. When i run the report and pass acno without ' , it do not show any record. But when i run the report and pass acno with ' then able to show the records.
for example the value i key in
with ' = ' 9'
without ' = 9
So how i can solve it by pass the acno without ' but the record still able to show?

Hi Nick,
It occurs because an argument of the DTExec commands must be enclosed in quotation marks if it contains a space. From the dtexe (SSIS Tool): Syntax Rules section of the
dtexec Utility (SSIS Tool) document, we can see:
All options must start with a slash (/) or a minus sign (-). The options that are shown here start with a slash (/), but the minus sign (-) can be substituted.
An argument must be enclosed in quotation marks if it contains a space. If the argument is not enclosed in quotation marks, the argument cannot contain white space.
Doubled quotation marks within quoted strings represent escaped single quotation marks.
Options and arguments are not case-sensitive, except for passwords.
So, you need to make the value of the variable @QUERY_STRING within double quotes in the value of the variable @Cmd or remove the space within the @QUERY_STRING value.

• Blank space in report builder

Hi,
Please help me in the following Example
COL1 COL2 COL3 COL4
In oracle report builder I want to disable the column COL2 under some conditions. I made it.The output looks like this.
COL1 COL3 COL4
But after doing that I am getting more space between COL1 and COL3. I want to remove the space. How to Do it. Can anybody help me?

Hi,
draw anchors between the objects (from col2 to col1, col3 to col2, .., from top left corner to top left corner) and set the properties to collabsing. This property is relevant, if the master object will be hidden by format trigger. If a field then is disabled, the next one will be on this place and so on ...

Hi
Can some one explain me how to be sure that some one has successfully run two t-codes KOCO -( Budget Carryforward) & KOCF ( commitment carry forward ). I want to make sure that Budget and Commitment carry forward has taken place. Is there any report which I can run. This situation is due to a person left the organization suddenly and I am not sure he has run it.In any case if I run it again what will happen ?
Thanks in advance
Satya

Hi Abhinay,
Thanks for the answer.
When you say they have to perform year end activities like checking PO and PR, what actually they are doing? Do they just need to check whether those PO or PR are required (if not, close them) or they need to do something more? . As far as I know, no steps like checking PO and PR are required here. So I am wondering whether we have missed anything or not. Can you give me some details about that step?
Also, if we are using only Total value for the budget, not annual value, I don't need to do the budget carry forward closing step. In this case, do I need to do the commitment carryforward step?
Thanks,
Ting
