Data passing from Adobe from submit button to BSP controller with XML

Dear Friends
How are you. I am developing one BSP application with Adobe interactive form. To complete this task I have use following linked solution. ( A PDF file that tells how to use Adobe forms with BSP application ).
My application runs fine 50%. I did the same things what the tutorial told me and I am seeing the page in the webbrowser with Adobe from what i have developed.
In the form I have put SUBMIT button and I have set properties as well... I have give full url as well for the controller to take data there over XML.
In the controller I am not receiving any value. I have attached the code beneath as well... please tell me where I am making mistakes. I am thanking you. Any help will be appreciated.
data: formxml type string.
formxml = request->get_cdata( ).
data: streamfactory type ref to if_ixml_stream_factory.
data: istream type ref to if_ixml_istream.
streamfactory = g_ixml->create_stream_factory( ).
istream = streamfactory->create_istream_string( formxml ).
data: document type ref to if_ixml_document.
document = g_ixml->create_document( ).
data: parser type ref to if_ixml_parser.
parser = g_ixml->create_parser( stream_factory = streamfactory
                                istream = istream
                                document = document ).
parser->parse( ).
data: node type ref to if_ixml_node.
data: strchecked type string.
node = document->find_from_name( name = 'ACC_REQ').   <------ Node is empty
strchecked = node->get_value( ).
This is the link of the solution what i refered to complete this application:
http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/index;jsessionid=(J2EE3417500)ID0005508150DB01147043631230799453End?rid=/library/uuid/d0e58022-2a39-2a10-69a8-c1a892e2b3f4&overridelayout=true

Dear Naeem,
Actually i also tried the same link. For me its displayed the form. After giving the input when i click for submit nothing will happen.
Its blinked and displayed the same page. I think for the node is getting value and some where its doesnt retrive the value.
I will check and get back you soon once i found.

  • How to open a new window from submit button &dialog page in current window?

    We have a requirement, wherein we have a OAF search page for PO lines with search criteria, Go button to search ,result region (table layout) and a submit button(Create new expedite).
    1. Now user can select some lines from result region and click on Submit button.
    2. On click of submit button we need to pop up a window or may be a dialog page asking that " Do you want open supplier web link portal or not?".
    3. If user clicks yes(in Dialog page) then first fetch the URL from a look up maintained in Oracle EBS on the basis of supplier of the lines selected and then open that URL in a new window and side by side we need to open a dialog page in search page asking "whether user has updated the expedite info in supplier portal or not?". On basis of this we need to updated some count in custom tables.
    So in step 3 i am facing problem, that how to open an URL in a new window through a submit button and side by side want to open a dialog page in the current window also.
    Hope a quick response from you all.
    Note:- To open a custom page we can have a link or button(button of type button and not submit button) on base page with destination url property as following javascript:
    javascript:var a = window.open('OA.jsp?page=/XXX/oracle/apps/xxx/......&retainAM=Y', 'a','height=500,width=900,status=yes,toolbar=no,menubar=no,location=no'); a.focus();
    So the question is how to do the same for submit button on OAF page???

    Antriksh,
    You just need to attach a submit action in button bean and not submit button bean, based on the output of confirm type of alert in javascript.
    Here is code u need to put in destination url of the button:
    //replace <confirm message> by message you want to show.
    javascript:input=confirm('<confirm message>');if(input==true){submitForm('DefaultFormName',0,{XXX:' abc'});}" Now in the process request of the base page CO, u can get parametre 'XXX' from the pagecontext....so
    if((("abc").equals(pageContext.getParameter("XXX"))))
    {/// custom LOGIC }
    The same i have replied in your mail. I hope this resolves the issue.

  • Viewset does not have data passed from GenIL

    Hi All,
    We have a custom component in which data is not getting passed from a ViewSet to the Overview page. The details of the issue are given below:
    There is a detail view zsoEF and a table view zsoChild. These 2 views are housed in a viewset zsoVS. This view set has an event Eh_OnBack which requires the data from views zsoEF and zsoChild to be passed to overview view zsoOV.
    We recently upgraded to CRM 7.0. After the upgrade, the values entered on the views zsoEF and zsoChild are processed in the ZGenIL. The context nodes and the custom controllers are filled correctly with the screen values and some auto added data based on validations..
    When we click on the Back button, then Eh_OnBack does not have data in the Custom Controller. I am not able to pin point the reason for this missing data in the Back event. From the way i understand, when we do data binding in the views, we don't have to do that in ViewSet. Has there been any change in this design in CRM 7.0?
    I would like to know if there is any workaround for this issue.
    Thanks,
    Rini

    Hi Rini,
        Did you try to bind the context nodes with the component controller. Can give it a try whether it resolves the problem. Any way it is difficult to say anything as we don't have an idea what exactly you did in the component. Lets take it forward. In the mean time have a look in the below link.

  • After designing a form in dw how do you get the form to send an email from submit button?

    i designed a form and it works up to the point of toggleing the submit button then nothing happens i do not receive any emails. please help me what am i doing wrong?
    allen

    Sorry, gary. I don't know what you're talking about when you say "I read the secure page in 2010". Feel free to elaborate if you wish but do not expect a response. It's not my interest to explain to you how to do something but I do feel obligated to tell others that what you're telling them is not completely safe. Please understand that I have in fact informed you of the vulnerabilities of your insecure script for as long as we have corresponded, even after the "security" amendment to your page, which is nothing more than a copy of someone else's work of which you unfortunately did not completely understand. No surprise there though given your frequent ignorance of the subject in the messages we have exchanged. I do remember saying something about a year ago to you mentioning your discreet, sweep under the rug mentality of the importance of having a secure script. Unfortunately you have maintained your ignorance and minimal effort on completely understanding (and effectively educating others on) the subject this entire time.
    If someone is asking how to build a submarine and you provide a blueprint of how to build a paper boat with a screen door don't expect someone else to tell you how to build a submarine so you can then go and tell everyone afterwards how YOU would build a submarine. However, you should expect someone to tell the OP that was asking how to build a submarine that your paper boat suggestion will not hold water.
    Did you read this?
    You're testing for the literal characters \r an \n. There are other ways of inserting carriage returns and new lines.
    Yep, that's basically what I told you over a year ago. I know that some have been using your email script to inject mail through the headers for sometime now. No one is sending you emails through your contact form anyway since the spry validation is broken, so injection of your server script is the only way to send emails from your contact page for users who have javascript enabled anyway. Perhaps you will now realize that your suggestions may be hurting others rather than helping them, opposite of what my posts regularly achieve. I look forward to your cognitive posts from now on with eagerness and openness to actually learn the methods that others are continuously trying to educate you on so that you will not continue to misinform others as you have been doing for as long as I can remember, which is longer than a year mind you. If you want to cross your arms across your chest and shrug and grunt that nothing is wrong with your script because you tested it that's fine, but when you start telling others to use it and that it's fine that's when the_shocker says whoa dude... it's not fine. Sorry to blow your ego. Swallow your pride and learn about script vulnerabilities instead of attempting to defend your position by on the forum by saying "you never said anything when you looked at my page a year ago" because dude... that's ignorant and, for the record, I did say something to you time and time again.
    best,

  • Can submit buttons or links associated with post or get requests work on iPad's Adobe Reader?

    Hi,
    I'm trying to call a JSPs from a PDF file using submit buttons and links created dynamically in a Java (iText) code.
    All buttons and links work fine in my PC but no buttons or dynamically generated links work in my iPad (Adobe Reader 11.0.1).
    Could anyone please let me know in case a workaround exists for this problem?
    Thanks in advance,
    Marcelo

    Michael,
    Thank you for your comment.
    I know it is not supported. But I’m wondering whether a workaround solution was implemented somewhere. I’m sure people are trying to submit PDF’s data or even the full documents from their iPads without sending them as an e-Mail's attachement.

  • Adobe Acrobat submit button feature not working

    Hello,
    I just  created a new time card using Adobe Acrobat. I'd like to make it so when  the user enters their hours, they click on the submit button and it  routes the form to the e-mail I've provided.
    Following the directions provided by adobe (http://www.adobe.com/designcenter/acrobat/articles/acr8at_addsubmit.ht ml), I added mailto: myE-mailAddress@...
    But  when I tested out the form by clicking submit, a dialog box appeared  asking me to save it, but then I ended up receiving NO e-mail.

    When using a mailtotype URL, be sure there is no space between "mailto:" and the email address. For example:
    "mailto:[email protected]"
    and not
    "MailTo: [email protected]"
    But that's not likely to be your problem. It is up to the user to complete the sending of the email. If the user elects to save the data or PDF locally, it is up to them to then attach the file manually. In the other case, they have to complete the sending of the email. If their default email program does not get launched with the file attached, then thir system is not properly set up.

  • How do i make a submit button work on mobile with my PDF

    I do not want to use the Adobe Forms Central. I have a client that wants a PDF on their mobile site to be readable and editable on an iPad. The submit button does not work. Is there a work around or another means to make this work. I realize the PDF form can be emailed via the iPad, but not all the people or "customers" know the email address to send to, so how can i make this work. Any suggestions or anyone else encounter this issue? I do not want to have to ask my client to ask his customers to go purchase software, when they should be able to just download adobe reader to fill out the form and send it like we can do on a regular desktop.

    I created the PDF and at the end placed the submit button with the following actions (screenshots included):
    Setting for the Submit form:
    Submit button at the bottom of the last page of the application:
    Maybe I have it all set up incorrectly, but from all that I have read it works fine on the desktop, but when the iPad is used, the submit button becomes inactive. I thought there could be some work around to make it work other than the "actions" or javascript, but I have also seen other forms that have javascript work on the iPad, so it has me totally confused.
    Thank you.

  • Submit button to create PDF and XML attachment in a single email message

    All,
    We have to submit both an XML file and a PDF file in a single email as the user expects both formats. They do not want to extract the XML from the PDF file. (The PDF file contains some information that is not in the XML but is used for documentation purposes.) We are using Livecycle Designer 8.
    I currently have Javascript code in a button to attach an XML file but would also like to attach a PDF version in the same email:
    event.target.submitForm({cURL
    :"mailto:" + vSubmitTo +"?subject="+LEASEIMPORT.ValidationCheck.Subform55.EmailSubject.rawValue+"&body=Please find the 2 files file to be imported ",cSubmitAs:"XML",cCharset:"utf-8"});
    Thanks in advance
    Lester

    Bill, thanks for replying. I thought I should explain our scenario:
    We have designed a PDF form for data input. This form is distributed as a "stand-alone" PDF - not residing on a server. The user fills in the form which produces a legal document. The user then hits a submit button which produces an XML document which is emailed to a person in the organisation who uses the XML for import into another application. However they also require the PDF document to be emailed as this contains supplementary information which is not contained in the XML file. (i.e. some fields are not exported with the XML file).

  • Email submit button doesn't work with Thunderbird

    I created a LiveCycle (v8.2.1) form with the email submit button. Works fine if the sender is using Outlook. If their using Thunderbird, it does not. I installed Thunderbird on my system (normally I use Outlook) and set Control Panel/Internet Options/Programs email to use Mozilla Thunderbird as the email program. When I click the Email button on my LiveCycle PDF form, I get a message telling me: Select an Email Client. The "Desktop Email Application" radio button is checked and that should be fine; the explanation for this button indicates that it should be checked "if you currently use an email application such as Microsoft Outlook Express, Microsoft Outlook, Eudora, or Mail.". I leave that checked, since I am using an email application and click OK. After 20-30 seconds, I get a message with the title bar: Microsoft Office Outlook "A program is trying to access e-mail address information stored in Outlook..." Allow|Deny|Help. I click Deny. After a minute or so, an Outlook "New" email window appears with the appropriate information from my LiveCycle PDF form. Right content, wrong email client. Since Thunderbird is my "default" email application, where is LiveCycle coming up with Outlook? What do my customers do who don't use Outlook?
    I hope someone has a good solution.
    Thanks.

    When you click the submit button, do you get a window that has the title "Select Email Client"and has the options of "Desktop Email Application" and "Internet Email"? If not, does anything at all happen?
    Note that Mac users must have Acrobat or Reader installed and be viewing the PDF in Acrobat or Reader for it to work. Many (most?) Mac users have the Preview Application as their default PDF viewer, and it does not support many interactive features such as form submissions. Although some third-party PDF viewers for Windows support form submissions, many do not.
    For those that do not use PDF viewers that support form submissions, they will have to manually attach the document to an email message.

  • Data Passing from ME21N to ME22N or ME23N

    Hi,
    I'm using screen exit to add some custom fields in PO Creation screen. I used the enhancement MM06E005. I have to add fields in Header hence, I added those in CI_EKKODB. Then, I designed 0101 screen of SAPMM06E.
    Further I used EXIT_SAPMM06E_008 to Pass data from Subscreen to Structure for storage of data entered in customer-screen.
    Till this point, it is working fine.
    My issues are --
    1). When I press Change button on the screen, customer-screen does not change its mode of display as with rest of the screen.
    2). After saving data using ME21N, it is not being reflected in ME22N and ME23N; while other data from standarad screen are coming.
    Can you please guide me what to do and which exit is to be used for the purpose..?
    Kumar Saurav.

    Issue resolved.

  • Data passing from consumer to producer

    Hello forum,
    I am using Producer-Consumer design pattern for data acquisition. While my producer loop acquires data, consumer loop does,analyze, display and save the data. One thing I would like to do is to pass a data from the consumer loop to producer loop. This is for a taring function, where my consumer loop would analyze the acquired data for n-point average and pass the value to produced loop where, this value is subtracted from the acquired data. How would I pass a data from Consumer to Producer?
    Many thanks to all,

    Hmmm.  I thought of this but I couldn't get it to work.  It sounded like a good idea.  It just locked up the program.  The fp panel became unresponsive.  I had to use the Abort Execution button to stop it.  Could you provide a sample of this?  Just curious.  Thanks.
    Using the two queue method would require the producer to check the status of the queue and move on when it is empty. This ultimately turns it into a form of a polling system.
    If the producer is using an event structure you can pass data back via a user event.
    Also, the OP mentioned that they handle the UI and analyze the data in the consumer loop. I would recommend for the greatest felxibility and reuse that the UI actually be in its own loop separate from the analysis. The UI loop would use an event structure and the UI updates can be passed to it using user events.

  • Data Passing from a Subreport to the Main Report

    <p>Hello,</p><p>I have been able to pass data from a subreport to a main report using shared variables. The Complete Reference: CR XI (p. 313) states that you should be able to now suppress the subreport to prevent it from showing on the main report, however this is not working. I want to get the data from the subreport and then further manipulate it in the main report, and I do not want the subreport shown on the main report. I tried suppressing/hiding the section where the subreport is placed as well as suppressing the subreport itself. The formula values on the main report become null when I do this though. Is it possible to keep the subreport off the main report?</p><p>Thanks.</p>

  • Struts - Data pass from Action class to JSP

    hello ,
    I am new to struts and have a strange question in my mind .
    How do we pass business logic data from action class to JSP.Do we use session object or any other best way to be used to pass data.
    Example scenario:
    Once the user logins into application by passing userid and password ,we need to display his open queries (from database table) on jsp.
    Components used :
    Login.jsp
    LoginForm(getter and setter methods of userid & password)
    LoginAction(get database connection,perform query to fetch user's open queries form the database)
    OpenQueries.jsp(to display Open queries on a tabular format)
    In LoginAction - We fetched user's open Queries from the database and stored them in collection object .
    My question is : what is the best way to pass Collection object from LoginAction to OpenQueries.jsp ?
    Thanks in advance...

    You can use plain javabeans to transfer the data. Check out the jsp:usebean tag. If you don't know how to do, check out the Java EE tutorial: http://java.sun.com/javaee/5/docs/tutorial/doc/ Using javabeans in JSP pages starts halfway chapter 4.
