Data source setting in LBWE

Hello Guys,
In  the Tcode LBWE job maintainence for collective update ie job control is showing as not maintained in both the Dev and production R3 system. but still i am able to load the data on daily basis using the 02 and 011 datasources. the Queued Delta update mode is used  for this datasources.
My concern is
1. do we need to schedule the job in the LBWE transaction are it is taken care by the system authomatically.
2. Is my system is behaving strangely.
3.suppose if i want to change the Process chain of this deltas from monthly to weekly do i need to schedule this jobs again in R3
Regards

I am getting the records in the deltas. when i check in the R3 production its showing that the job control under start date as not maintain and in red colour. when i check the deltas daily the records are varying.
wheather the V3 load is schedule daily. if it is not schedule then i hav to get the zero records in the delta right .
or the V3 job is schedule daily and the transaction load is running on weekly or monthly basis and how can i identify V3 job schedule status.
Pls explain me abut the above scenario.

  • How to get a EAR package for deploying without local data-source setting in JDev9i?

    Hi all,
    I want to use pooled data-sources defined in OC4J's global configuration setting directory in JDEV_HOME\j2ee\home\config.
    But when I packaged my application to an EAR file,it contains it's local data-sources.xml file in the package.Each time the server was restared,the local data-sources.xml file was overwritten by the originally setting in the EAR package,thus I cannot use the pooled settings.
    So could let me know how to package a EAR file without containing it's local data-source setting,but use the global data-source setting?Or how to control the local data-source setting without changed after mannully defined.
    Your reply is greatly appreciated!

    Mike,
    You don't need a File to do what you want. Even if you could, it would be wrong to use a file.
    It would be wrong, because the compiler might not by using a JavaFileManager that is actually backed by a filesystem. It could be backed by some form of repository such as a database, or it could be backed by a transient in memory file system ( An example of the latter is the [annotation processor test framework|https://hickory.dev.java.net/nonav/apidocs/index.html?net/java/dev/hickory/testing/package-summary.html] in hickory)
    But probably of more interest to you, you don't need to because you can simply [get an InputStream|http://java.sun.com/javase/6/docs/api/javax/tools/FileObject.html#openInputStream()] from the FileObject returned from [filer.getResource(...)|http://java.sun.com/javase/6/docs/api/javax/annotation/processing/Filer.html#getResource(javax.tools.JavaFileManager.Location,%20java.lang.CharSequence,%20java.lang.CharSequence)] and read it.
    You might also find the [Compiler Tree API|http://java.sun.com/javase/6/docs/jdk/api/javac/tree/index.html] useful. The Compiler Tree API is available to annotation processors running in Oracle's (Sun's) javac, but not in other compilers (possibly limiting portability).
    With this API you can [convert |http://java.sun.com/javase/6/docs/jdk/api/javac/tree/com/sun/source/util/Trees.html#getPath(javax.lang.model.element.Element)] the Element representing the annotation to a Treepath then [get the leaf node|http://java.sun.com/javase/6/docs/jdk/api/javac/tree/com/sun/source/util/TreePath.html#getLeaf()] and from that tree [obtain its offsets|http://java.sun.com/javase/6/docs/jdk/api/javac/tree/com/sun/source/util/Trees.html#getSourcePositions()] within the source file.

  • SP3 Causing SSRS On SP To Loose Data Source Settings

    Hi,
    (Hope I've got the right forum).
    We are running SQL Server 2008 R2 and using Reporting Services on SharePoint 2010 in "integrated mode". The data source file and the report files that use that data source live in an SP library, and we have all those extra functions that allow
    you to do, among other things, manage the data source used by each report file. Everything has been working fine up to now.
    We have recently deployed the SP3 for SQL, but since then, every morning the data source has lost the credentials we use to connect to the database and is set to disabled, and all of the reports that map to this data source file have lost their data source
    setting.
    If I edit the data source, put the correct credentials in and enable the datasource, then go back into every report and map them back to the data source file, everything works, until the following morning when the problem reappears.
    To say this was frustrating would be a severe understatement.
    I'm guessing that overnight we have a server reboot, IIS Reset or something going on.
    The problem is that SP3 is actually solving a number of unrelated problems for a different team, so rolling back is not really an option.
    So I'm hoping someone out there has seen this before and knows a work around.
    Thanks,
    Swanny.

    Hi Swanny Too,
    Thank you for your question.

  • Connecting Flex 2 To Data Sources

    I have order flex 2 (out of my own pocket) so I can learn how
    to use it. Hopefully I should have it in the next day or two.
    It seems that once I get going, the truly cool stuff will be
    connected to some sort of data source.
    Any suggestions for getting inexpensive data sources set up
    so I could learn that piece of flex?
    Currently my web host allows a SQL database, but I have not
    really made use of that feature.
    Paying for something like Cold Fusion out of my own pocket is
    a little to much for me. Paying for the upgrades for Production
    Studion and the old Macromedia Studio 8 will suck up most of my
    play cash in the next year or so.
    Thanks
    Mathias

    well you dont need to purchase anything to write .net and
    even ASP could fill the role of server side technology for most
    flex apps. In fact one nice thing about IIS is that you can write
    your server side script in javascript which is very similar to
    actionscript which is nice and if you need to do client side script
    you can swap your javascript functions back and forth in your
    client and server side scripts. Also you dont have to use MS
    technologies to talk to their DBs, you could use whatever script
    enviroment that your host has to offer. As far as rendering XML you
    can use dataBinding objects on the host or even just render it your
    self like
    var rName = ""+ sqlObject("Record_Name");
    var result= "";
    result= "<xml>\n\r<name>"+ rName+
    "</name>\n\r</xml>"
    Response.write(result);

  • Data source 2LIS_03_BX is not getting displayed in LBWE

    Dear All,
      I was trying to extract MM data sources in R3 , I activated 2LIS_03_BF, 2LIS_03_BX ,2LIS_03_UM in RSA5 .After tat wen i tried to activate this data sources in LBWE only 2LIS_03_BF, 2LIS_03_UM are displayed under inventory.
    please let me know how to get 2LIS_03_BX  in LBWE
    Regards,
    Dippy

    You wont find data source 2LIS_03_BX in the LBWE screen.
    We use this data source as a one time activity. you can directly activate the data soruce using the transaction RSA5 and delete the set up tables and fill the set up tables and initialize to extract the historical stock data.
    2LIS_03_BX is not part of LO cockpit, hence you will not see them in LBWE. Pls use transaction code MCNB to load the setup table before you load data into BI.
    rest of the data source you use OLI1Bw and OLIZBW to load the set up tables for BF AND UM.

  • Data source in LBWE

    Hi Experts,
    I am not finding the data source 2LIS_03_BX in inventry management.
    And I transfered from RSA5, RSA6, but no effect.
    What to do, PLS tell me in detail.
    Thanks in advance.

    2LIS_03_BX is for stock initialisation. It won't be available in LBWE. For filling set up for this you need to use MCNB tcode.

  • Using report parameter in data set filter expression with an SSAS data source

    I have an SSRS report with an SSAS data source.
    Report parameters:
    Param1 - text, single select
    Param2 - text, multi-select
    Dataset:
    In Query Designer, I want to include Param1 as a filter expression so I can have "Dimension1 Begins with @Param2". I'm not sure the exact syntax to make param2 work in this.
    The point is to filter my data set on param1. If A is selected for param1, I want the data set to have the filter saying "Dimension1 begins with A"
    Anyone know how to use a report parameter in the dataset filter expression for an ssas data source?

    hi,
    try this maybe the dates you are comparing are not in the same format.
    I test data template in EBS but not with dates.
    to_date(date,'dd/mm/YY') between to_date(:p_from_date ,'dd/mm/YY') and to_date(:p_to_date ,'dd/mm/YY')
    if dont works try to put values insted of your parameter like :
    to_date(date,'dd/mm/YY') between to_date(:p_from_date ,'10/01/07') and to_date(:p_to_date ,'01/12/07') ... put dates where u can have some values in report...
    if dont work then try to print the values of the 2 parameters and the date of the select somwhere in ur report to see what you have in it..
    hope it helps..

  • Errors in the high-level relational engine. The data source view does not contain a definition for the table or view. The Source property may not have been set.

    Hi All,
    I have a cube in which i'm using the TIME DIM that i created in the warehouse. But now i wanted a new measure in the cube which is Average over time and when i wanted to created the new measure i got a message that no time dim was defined, so i created a
    new time dimension in the SSAS using wizard. But when i tried to process the new time dimension i'm getting the follwoing error message
    "Errors in the high-level relational engine. The data source view does not contain a definition for "SSASTIMEDIM" the table or view. The Source property may not have been set."
    Can anyone please tell me why i cannot create a new measure average over the time using my time dimension? Also what am i doing wrong with the SSASTIMEDIM, that i'm getting the error.
    Thanks

    Hi PMunshi,
    According to your description, you get the above error when processing the time dimension. Right?
    In this scenario, since you have updated the DSV, it should have no problem on the table existence. One possibility is that table has been specified for tracking in the notifications for proactive caching, but isn't available any more for some
    reason. Please change the setting in Proactive Caching into "MOLAP".

  • Can we set the dynamic data source when using getReportParameters() ?

    Hello!
    I have a report where one of its parameters refers to a list of values (LOVs). This list of values is an SQL Query type. When the data source used in the report is defined in the BI Publisher server, I'm able to get the report parameters using the getReportParameters() function in my application. However, if the data source is not defined the function throws an exception, which is understandable.
    I decided to dynamically set the data source so that even if the data source used by the report is not defined in the BI Publisher server, it still will be able to get the LOVs for the parameter. I tried setting the JDBCDataSource of the dynamicDataSource for the ReportRequest object that I passed to the getReportParameters() function. Please see the sample code below:
    reportRequest.dynamicDataSource = new BIP10.BIPDataSource();
    reportRequest.dynamicDataSource.JDBCDataSource = new BIP10.JDBCDataSource();
    setReportDataSource(reportRequest.dynamicDataSource.JDBCDataSource, connectstr, jdbc, dc); //function to set the values for JDBCDataSource object
    reportParams = webrs.getReportParameters(reportRequest, uid, pwd); //call the getReportParameters
    I was expecting this to work as this is what I did to dynamically set the data source before calling the runReport function. So, my question is -- can we set the dynamic data source when using getReportParameters() ? I tried this both in versions 10g and 11g. It does not seem to work on both versions.
    Regards,
    Stephanie

    report_id column of apex_application_page_ir_rpt can help us uniquely identify each saved report.
    We can assign this report_id value to a page item and this page item can be put in the Report ID Item text box of the Advanced section of the Report Attributes page of the IR.
    This should load the saved report identified by report_id and you can get rid of javascript

  • How to set JDBC Data Sources in Oracle MapViewer for Oracle database 12c Release 1 (12.1.0.1)

    How to set JDBC Data Sources in Oracle MapViewer for Oracle database 12c Release 1 (12.1.0.1)?
    The following is my configuration in the conf\mapViewerConfig.xml:
    <map_data_source name="mvdemo12"
    jdbc_host="127.0.0.1"
    jdbc_sid="orcl12c1"
    jdbc_port="1522"
    jdbc_user="mvdemo"
    jdbc_password="7OVl2rJ+hOYxG5T3vKJQb+hW4NPgy9EN"
    jdbc_mode="thin"
    number_of_mappers="3"
    allow_jdbc_theme_based_foi="true"
    editable="true"/>
    <!--  ****  -->
    But it does not work.
    After use "sqlplus mvdemo/[email protected]:1522/pdborcl", it connected to the Oracle database 12c.
    Does anyone know it?
    Thanks,

    For 11.1.1.7.1 use the syntax for jdbc_sid, i.e.
    //mypdb1.foo.com as described in the README,
    - MapViewer native (non-container) data sources can now use database service name in place of SID. To supply a db service name, you will use the same jdbc_sid attribute, but specify the service name with double slashes in front, such as follows:
      <map_data_source name="myds"
        jdbc_host="foo.com"
        jdbc_sid="//mypdb1.foo.com"
        jdbc_port="1522"
      />
    For 11.1.1.7.0 use a container_ds instead.
    i.e. instead of using
    <map_data_source name="my_12c_test"
                       jdbc_host="mydbinstance"
                       jdbc_sid="pdborcl12c"
                       jdbc_port="1522"
                       jdbc_user="mytestuser"
                       jdbc_password="m2E7T48U3LfRjKwR0YFETQcjNb4gCMLG8/X0KWjO00Q="
                       jdbc_mode="thin"
                       number_of_mappers="6"
                       allow_jdbc_theme_based_foi="false"
                       editable="false"
       />
    use
      <map_data_source name="my_12c_test"
                       container_ds="jdbc/db12c"
                       number_of_mappers="6"
                       allow_jdbc_theme_based_foi="false"
                       editable="false"
       />
    In my case the Glassfish 3.1.2.2 JDBC connection pool definition was
    Property
    url  jdbc:oracle:thin:@mydbinstance:1522/pdborcl12c.rest_of.service.name
    Uncheck the Wrap JDBC Objects option in Advanced panel, i.e. the Edit JDBC Connection Pool Advanced properties page.
    Add a JDBC resource for that newly created pool
    Use that in mapviewerconfig.xml as above

    Any help would be very much appreciated.

    The code looks good - as long as the variables are correct. (You may want to consider hard coding the logon values as part of your troubleshooting steps).
    Database Vendor Codes are passed by the DB client through the report engine unmodified. E.g.; look at your database documentation for the error. I did not find anything googling the error, so do check the db docs.
    If that does not help, let us know the following:
    Does the report work in the designer?
    What version of CR? Including any Service Packs applied.
    What version of .NET?
    What database?
    How are you connecting to the database? (32 or 64 bit?)
