Database Error While Viewing Crystal Report In Infoview
Hi,
BO and Crystal Designer version is BO XI 3.1 SP2 FP2.6.
Issue:
While viewing crystal report for a particular user id in infoview, following error is coming:
Error in File EPACertificate.rpt: Database Connector Error
However, we are able to view the report in thick client Crystal Designer using same user id. This issue is occurring only for this user and rest of the users are able to view the report in Infoview and Crystal Designer.
It would be great if any of you can provie a solution to this issue.

We are getting the following error while viewing the crystal reports from ASP viewer:
Active Server Pages error 'ASP 0115'
Unexpected error
/KR_ADG/rptviewer/CustReportView.asp
A trappable error (C0000005) occurred in an external object. The script cannot continue running.
If you search for the u201Cc0000005u201D error number in below log, you will also find stack trace for the same. As you can see the stack causing this error shows dlls from Business Objects [Crystal X1] or Oracle.

XML Publisher error while viewing a report
I get the following error while viewing a report I have just written using a data template:
The report cannot be rendered because of an error, please contact the administrator.
I am using XML Publisher 562 Enterprise.
The Data template I have loaded is as follows:

is your report working on SAP from server machine or it only works on Crystal Report on server machine
IF your report is working on SAP server then, the problem is on sharing the .rpt file with client
Place the .rpt file in shared folder whichi is accessable from all the clients then use that .rpt file in SAP CR addon and update it

do you have any firewall installed, try disabling within your network and check

By design, the product is not able to be installed under the superuser account.
1. Create a new user and specify a home directory for the user without a quota set.
2. Copy or move the installation files to a directory that the new user can read. I suggest you move the installation files directly into the new user's home directory.
3. Logon as the new user (or su - newuser)
4. run the installation shell script using that new user's account.
NOTE: Ensure the system meets the requirements from the supported platforms documents.

Database error when trying to view Crystal Report from InfoView
I am receiving the following error when I try to view or run a Crystal Report from the InfoView. The report is based on an SAP InfoSet.
"Failed to load database information."
The report data can be refreshed with no trouble from within the Crystal Reports designer on my local machine, but the error occurs after it is published to the InfoView. The same error appears when trying to import into Excel using LiveOffice.

Local Crystal Reports machine details:

My steps to troubleshoot so far:
-Checked Database Logon details in CMC for the report. Username and password are entered correctly.
-Cycled all CrystalReports background services off and on again from the CMC

Error while previewing Crystal Reports in SAP B1

I have installed the Crystal Reports Addon to SAP B1 2007B, and it works fine with the sample reports in B1.
My problem is as given below.
I have created Covering Letter report for the Cheque printing functionality. Preview and all is ok in the Crystal Report designer.
But it shows error while trying to preview it in SAP B1.

If I use the tables directly in the reports, the above query would contain the database base name also as prefix to the table in the FROM clause.

How to avoid it? Is there any settings in the designer?
Query in the Sample report doesnot have the database name as prefix.
What shall I do for that?

On the other hand, it is not a good idea to rename DB name to such a long name. What is the purpose?

Getting error while running crystal reports on SAP BW Query

I have installed Crystal Reports 2008 SP3 and then SAP Integration Kit. I'm able to connect to SAP BW but after adding the query to crystal and while refreshing the report i'm getting an error
Database Connection Error: 'BAPI Error #:0' Error occured when starting the parser: timeout during allocate/CPIC-CALL:'ThSAPCMRCV'.

Well I can't put my hand on my heart and say that the difference between the OLAP Catalog Version in two environments is your issue, but if I saw that on my system I would be having my suspicions. I would definitely try and overcome this first and see what happens. You've got to knock out one piece of the puzzle at a time.
Isn't it OCCAM's razor (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Occam's_Razor) that says when everything has been considered the obvious answer is usually the correct one?

Are you logged in as Administrator?
If not try logging in as Administrator,is still the issue persists then you need to manually uninstall Crystal Reports and reinstall it again.
This issue happens because the installation of Crystal Reports has not been successful, despite a message stating that it has been successfully installed.
Manual Uninstalling Process:
Symptom
Crystal Reports XI is installed on your computer. You need to manually uninstall Crystal Reports XI for one of the following reasons:
u2022 To verify that all Crystal Reports XI components have been completely removed prior to installing a later version of Crystal Reports.
u2022 To remove the remaining Crystal Reports XI components that have not been removed using the 'Add/Remove Programs' command (Start > Settings > Control Panel).

1. To manually uninstall Crystal Reports XI, delete the following directories:

Do not remove the directory C:\Program Files\Common Files\Business Objects\3.0 if you have BusinessObjects Enterprise XI or Crystal Reports Server XI installed. These files are shared by both applications and removal of these files will cause Business ObjectsEnterprise XI and Crystal Reports Server XI to function incorrectly.

2. Delete the following registry keys:

Error in viewing Crystal Reports CRXI R2
We have a asp.net application and reports developed using CR XI R2. All the reports are published using the CRS. We often get an error when we view the reports, some time we get the following error and sometime we dont,
Unable to connect: incorrect log on parameters. Details [Database Vendor Code: 18452]
The reports are loading properly, but sometime we get te above error. Can we expect BO to respond to this message at the earliest. Our application runs on windows 2003 Standards Edition server, we have one server for our application and CRS and another server for our database.Senthil,
Are you getting this error when running the report in the Crystal Reports Deisgner or just your application/.
