Database is approaching its maximum allowable size ?

I have just for this alert within the CSA MC V5.1.0.79
The 'Management Center for Cisco Security Agents V5.1' database is approaching its maximum allowable size. Please purge old data.
I have look at the 'Database Mainteance' and I can see the following
Database size: 1273 MB
Event and configuration data size: 1142 MB
Application Deployment data size: 0 MB
Unallocated space: 114 MB
Free disk space: 29586 MB
Recommendations: none.
Database csaanalysis51 (behavior analysis data) [connection parameters]
Database size: 1 MB
Unallocated space: 0 MB
Free disk space: 29586 MB
Recommendations: none.
How can I resolve this issue ?

I ran the SQL 2000 installation and chose "Upgrade existing SQL Server installation" and it worked fine on a test MC.
There is more information on upgrading SQL Server Desktop Engine here:
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/325023
I don't know if this is supported by Cisco so make sure you have a good backup and run a backup of the MC before attempting it.

  • Mailbox database admission control by maximum mailboxdatabase size limit

    I would like to have a feature which allowes to set a maximum size limit on a mailboxdatabase. This way we can keep the mailboxdatabases around a certain size. Existing mailboxex within the mailboxdatabase can grow according to their sizing
    limits but no new mailboxes can be added or moved to it. In collaboration with the new automatic distribution feature you can migrate more efficiently and keep maintenance and restores times low.

    Hello,
    Accroding to your description, I understand that you want to set a maximum size limit on a mailboxdatabase. Your purpose for this doing is that existing mailboxes size within the mailboxdatabase can grow, but new mailboxes can't be added or
    moved to it? If so, I'm afraid that there is no way to set a maximum size limit on a mailboxdatabase in exchange 2013 server. But we can control automatic mailbox distribution sing database scopes.

  • Illustrator - Maximum allowed size of variable library xml file loaded from variables palette?

    Hi-
    One question I can’t seem to find the answer to anywhere – any idea on what the maximum size xml file one can use when making data driven graphics in Illustrator?
    I can successfully batch when I load a single variable library with about 100 datasets at one time but anything much larger than that in the same xml format gives me a “the incoming variable library is invalid” error. Elsewhere on this discussion forum I have seen answers say there is no limit to the size of the XML file. (http://forums.adobe.com/thread/647934). But my experience with Illustrator CS5 says otherwise.
    I have thousands I need to create. Any help would be most appreciated.
    1. If there is a maximum size either in file size, number of datasets, or number of variables/values, please share what the limit is.
    2. I still need to create thousands of the final document I am creating - if the limit is close to 100 and I need to create many thousands - any suggestions on either scripting or other methods to get this done?
    Thanks,
    Michael

  • Image Exceeds the maximum allowed size for a dual layer configuration

    Error message appearing on the log it's a 7.2gb project on a 8.5gb dvd. Any ideas as to how to fix this. The build was okay.

    Could be the way the meter is counting, or how you are looking at the size.
    http://dvdstepbystep.com/faqs_2.php (where are you seeing 7.2 Gigs?) If the size is over making audio AC3 or changing video enocoding rates could do the trick.
    Also if the error message is slightly different it could be an improper (or none) layer break.

  • Which is the maximum allowable size of a BSO cube?

    Hi Experts!
    Can anyone tell me if it is possible to have a BSO cube of between 1 and 4 Terabytes_ and if it can be tuned for acceptable performance with about 100 concurrent users?
    Sorry if I look stupid with this question but this is my real important question now! Thank you so much in advance!

    The largest BSO cube I have seen is 400 GB. I was just at the Kscope conference speaking with one of the long time Oracle Essbase support reps and asked her the largest BSO cube she had seen and it was 500 GB. I would not advise doing anything beyond 1 TB even on modern hardware.
    Anyone else have opinions on largest supportable BSO cube?
    One thing to understand on huge cube sizes is when/if you need to do a dense restructure it will take a long long time which leads you into a process of exporting level 0 data, clearing the cube, updating the hierarchy, loading level 0, re-calcing the cube which again on a large cube can take a lot of time.
    Data of this size is many times better placed in a ASO cube presuming it can meet the business requirements.

    Hey timeline
    welcome to the apple boards...
    ill give you the easy fix, although i would recommend the proper fix.
    first, build your project on any of your drives so you can see your audio and video TS folders.
    once you see your build, then click on "Format" and before you click on format (on the lower right hand corner of the Format window, click on the second tab and under "Layer Break" click the drop down box and whatever is NOT greyed out, can be used as a layer break.
    the more proper way do it it would require you to do some calculations based on the amount of video in your project and re-encode your video.
    hope that helps

  • Setting maximum packet size in JDBC driver to send data to database

    Could someone tell me how I can set the JDBC connection property of maximum packet size to send data to database?
    Regards
    Rashed

    Hi thanks....I'm having this strange SQLException while trying to insert BLOB image data to Oracle database. I'm saying this strange because for the same image that has been inserted before it's throwing the exception. My program is run from Oracle form and then some image data are inserted into database through a loop. I can't realize what's the problem inside my code that's causing this problem. In fact, when I run my program independently not from Oracle Form, it runs fine, every image data get inserted into database. Given below is my code snippet:
    public void insertAccDocs(String[] accessions) throws SQLException
        for(int q=0; q<accessions.length; q++)
        final String  docName = accessions[q];
        dbThread = new Thread(new Runnable(){
        public void run()
          try{
          System.out.println("insertDB before connection");
                   getConnected();
                   System.out.println("insertDB after connection");
                   st=con.createStatement();
             //String docName = acc; commented
         // String docName = singleAccession;
                   String text = formatFree;
                   String qry = "INSERT INTO DOCUMENT VALUES
    ('"+docName+"','"+text+"','"+formatted+"','"+uiid+"')";
                   System.out.println("parentqry"+qry);
                   int ok=0;
                   ok=st.executeUpdate(qry);
                   if(ok==1)
                System.out.println("INSERTION SUCCESS= "+ok);
                        System.out.println("Image List Size"+ imgList.size());
                // inserting into child
                        for(int i=0;i<imgList.size(); i++)
                      String imgPath = ""+imgList.get(i);
                                  System.out.println("db"+imgPath);
                                  FileInputStream fin = new FileInputStream(imgPath);
                                  BufferedInputStream bufStr = new BufferedInputStream(fin);
                                  byte[] imgByte = new byte[bufStr.available()];
                                  String img = "" + imgNameList.get(i);
                                  System.out.println("imgid="+i);
                callable = con.prepareCall("{call prc_insert_docimage(?,?,?)}");
                callable.setString(1,docName);
                            callable.setString(2,img);
                callable.setBinaryStream(3, bufStr , (int)imgByte.length);
                callable.execute();
            callable.close();
                     con.commit();
            con.close();
                   else
                        System.out.println("INSERTION NOT SUCCESS");
       //   } //else end of severalAcc
                   }catch(Exception err){ //try
                        System.out.println(err.toString());
        } //run
      }); //runnable
      dbThread.start();
    }And the exception thrown is :
    java.sql.SQLException: Data size bigger than max size for this type: #####
    Please let me know if possible how I can get around this.

  • Layer 0 exceeds the maximum layer size allowed.

    I am getting the following message and do not know what to change in my pref.
    Formatting was not successful. Layer 0 exceeds the maximum layer size allowed. Please choose a suitable marker location that will support this condition.

    No change in preferences, it is something you need to make a marker for on a DL Disc
    On the layer break some threads below - basically there needs to be a marker somewhere so that is around 1/2 way give or take Take a look at the PDF pages 576-586 for some of the details.

  • Shrink database to only up to its current initial size

    In SQL server every database has a property Initial Size (MB) which can be seen in properties of database in SSMS. By default it will be 3 MB for mdf and 1 MB for
    ldf file.
    So now if create a new database then it will be set to default size(i.e 3 MB for mdf and 1 mb for ldf file). But after creating the database I change the initial size to some other value say For mdf 10 MB and ldf 5 MB.(In real-time some database administrator
    may want to change initial after creating database)
    But now if shrink the database it will shrink beyond the initial size I have set after creation(consider that no data is there in database otherwise it will shrink to its actual content size). It will shrink till the initial size it had during creation of database(i.e
    3mb for mdf and 1 mb for ldf). I was expecting to shrink till the initial size which I have set(i.e 10 mb for mdf and 5mb for ldf). Can it be possible to do? If possible then how?
    In some article i saw like dbcc SHRINKFILE can be used to shrink beyond initial size and dbcc SHRINKDATABASE cannot shrink beyond initial size. But I want to shrink only till the initial size to which I have set.
    Note: I know that shrink is bad and should not be done.But I want to know how it can be done? If sql server considers only the initial size set during creation of database then what is the use of setting the initial size after creating database?

    http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms190488.aspx
    The database cannot be made smaller than the minimum size of the database. The minimum size is the size specified when the database is
    originally created, or the last size explicitly set by using a file size changing operation such as DBCC SHRINKFILE or ALTER DATABASE. For example, if a database is originally created with a size of 10 MB in size and grows to 100 MB, the smallest the database
    can be reduced to is 10 MB, even if all the data in the database has been deleted.

    I understood what you have mentioned above. As you said minimum size is the size specified during database creation. But is there any way to change the initial size of database so that during shrink it will come only up to that value. i know that during shrinkfile
    i can specify size. But i want to know whether we can change that initial size.

  • What is the maximum file size allowed by Yosemite's Archive Utility?

    I've seen radically different answers to this question, ranging from ".zip files have a 4GB size limit" to "no limit other than the OS maximum file size". It's been very difficult to find current info on this.
    I have lots of large folders full of recording projects --- I'm talking up to 45GB or so --- and I've been experimenting with different methods of zipping them in preparation for cloud backup. Several applications have been willing to zip my enormous folders into archives, but then choke when unzipping them, telling me that the files cannot be unzipped or are corrupted. Using the "Compress" shortcut in the finder has so far yielded the best results, keeping all necessary resource forks, etc., and unzipping properly, even when other apps have insisted the files are corrupted. However, I'm afraid to continue with this procedure until I can get a straight answer on this issue: have I just been lucky so far? IS there an actual size limit?
    ...It only seems to work when I both zip and unzip with the Archive Utility. Other archiving apps will either render the included projects unreadable by my recording software when zipping (I suspect because of alteration or stripping of resource forks), or will refuse to read the giant .zip archives generated by Archive Utility.
    I've set up the Archive Utility to produce .zip files, as I feel these are the most likely to be recognized by a variety of cloud storage services.ny
    ...Any guidance would be greatly appreciated!

    Hi,
    The 1,048,576 rows & 16,384 columns is the
    workbook size limitation in Excel 2013. Thus, I recommend we try the Mr. Bernie's suggestions to import the large CSV file.
    1. Use VBA to read the file line by line and split/examine the import file in sections. If you have further question about the VBA, please post your question to the MSDN forum for Excel
