Database registry status invalid

hi
I got status of catproc as invalid in my dba_registry.
I have tried with (DBMS_REGISTRY_SYS.VALIDATE_CATPROC)
procedure but not posative.
I have also used catproc.sql script but agian no effect.
Is there any way to make it valid?

    thanks,

I am only assuming things, but it might be worth to look closely if you were experiencing an ORA- error during the execution. This could have caused a rollback and thus closed the cursor. Please check the job log, the workprocess trace (dev_wX file) and the system log SM21 and ST22 as well.
Besides that check the oracle alertlog and the usertrace destination.

  • Database selection with invalid cursor with MaxDB database

    Hi Experts,
    I encountered the this error:
    "Database selection with invalid cursor

cursor operation) that is not flagged as opened. This can occur if a
COMMIT or ROLLBACK was executed within a SELECT loop (which closes all

example, the next time the loop is executed)."
We are using bw support package 19 early this month. Previously is working fine but this problem occured from the last 2 days.
    We are using MaxDB database.
    Really appreciate any speedy responds.

    Hi,
    We finally resolved the issue.
    The solution:
We check the RFC connection test in SM59. There are connection error.
There is an error that related J2EE_ADMIN user.
SO we reset the J2EE_ADMIN id in SU01.
    The problem goes away.
    Many thanks

  • Database selection with Invalid Cursor error in RSDRI_INFOPROV_READ

    Hi Everyone.
I am using RSDRI_INFOPROV_READ Function module for reading data from a multiprovider.
Logic of the code is as following
    while <more data>
CALL RSDRI_INFOPROV_READ reading data in E_T_DATA
Append lines of E_T_DATA to EO_T_DATA.
If total lines of data in EO_T_DATA > 200000
    <save EO_T_DATA in a file using GUI_DOWNLOAD>
    <clear EO_T_DATA>
    EndIF
    EndWhile.
As soon as number of record exceed 200000 first file is saved, but after that next data call results in error.
Error says "Database selection with invalid cursor".
I suspect that this because of call to FM GUI_DOWNLOAD. While calling this FM after RSDRI_INFOPROV_READ causes system to commit and again the cursor is tried to open in next call casuing it to fail.
But it is imperative for me to save data in file at regular intervals as data volume is huge.
Any pointers in this direction will be helpful.

  • How can I determine what sites are being referenced within Central Admin Upgrade and Migration Manage Databases Upgrade Status?

When I go to Central Admin > Upgrade and Migration  > Manage Databases Upgrade Status, I have 2 content databases which have the status:
Database is up to date, but some sites are not completely upgraded.
How can I determine which sites are not completely upgraded?

Manage Databases Upgrade Status will provide you all active and offline DB details, you can get same result
    using below PowerShell cmdlet.
Get-SPDatabase and Get-SPContentDatabase will provide all active database/Content DB in Farm which include Service application db, central admin DB.
    Get-SPDatabase | Format-Table Name, ID
Coming back to your question, if you find that there are some site are not completely upgraded then run below command and understand the cause if issue on specific DB.
    Test-SPContentDatabase WSS_ContentDB_Name
If you find any missing file issue in DB then resolve these issue to upgrade content database.
(verify all customizations referenced within the content database are also installed in the web application. This cmdlet can be issued
against a content database currently attached to the farm, or a content database that is not connected to the farm )
    Use the Upgrade-SPContentDatabase cmdlet
to resume a failed database upgrade or begin a build-to-build database upgrade against a SharePoint content database
    Upgrade-SPContentDatabase WSS_Content

    Hi,
there has been an issue with an earlier set of bugfixes or an older CPU patch.
It did invalidate the catproc component.
    Check:   select comp_id,status, version from dba_registry;
if CATPROC is invalid, shutdown and startup your DB.
    run
    @?/rdbms/admin/catproc.sql
it can run between 10 and 25 minutes depending on horse powers.
    Check again:   select comp_id,status, version from dba_registry;
    CATPROC should now be valid.
If yes run utlrp.sql again and your errors will be gone.
If not, your issue is something else.

  • Database connection status indicator

I want to put something on the front panel of my program that will show the database connection status. I'm thinking of asking to list tables (it doesn't have to be displayed), if the connection is no longer good, it will show error. I tried it and I think it works okay but I don't know whether this is proper way to do it, maybe there are better ways there, could someone point it out for me?
    Best regards,
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

You definately do not want to open and close the connection. Maybe it will fail but the "real" connection is fine. Maybe the real one failed but this other open and close works. This could happen if the server has the max number of connections.
Does your connection just go away?
A simple way to check the connection is to just have a loop that periodically executes a meaningless statement.

  • The database link contains invalid connection information

I am working on owb10.1, oracle db 10g release 2
As i try to create a new module through the New Module Wizard, everything is fine until setting the connection information step. Since this is the first time to create a module, I pick the option "Oracle Data Dictionary" and also create a new database link successfully. After choosing the new database link, when i click the next button, an error occurs
*"API4006: The database link contains invalid connection information.*
*API2414: Cannot determine version information for the specified database link.*
*Check the database link and try again."*
I could create and test the new database link successfully. but here why I can't choose this db link to do the next step?
    Any thoughts?
    please help me out.
    Thanks

database link name works well now. i changed the global_name parameter.
after that i try to create a new db link, but still can't go to the next step and the same error occurs.
The details of the database link:
    Database Link:    Test

    User Name:     SCOTT
    Connect String:  127.0.0.1:1521:orcl

  • CUCM Database Replication Status MIB

    Hi Guys,
Can you please help me whether we could monitor CCM database replication status through SNMP MIB or OID..
Also please guide me in how to configure SNMP traps for the MIBS??
    Regards,
    Indrajith PC

    Hi,
please take a look at the CUCM serviceability guide:
    http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/voice_ip_comm/cucm/service/9_0/admin/CUCM_BK_C136FE37_00_cisco-unified-serviceability-administration-90/CUCM_BK_C136FE37_00_cisco-unified-serviceability-administration-guide_preface_00.html
I'm afraid there's no trap generated when DB replication issues occur, so you might want to do periodic polling.
The above referenced document contains some basic information which MIB's may be interesting to you and how to get them.
Personally, I would download and register them all, and then just walk the whole tree and cherrypick ;-)
