    get the structure of the database
    create the structure in SAP
    SELECT THE DATA OF THE TABLE
    This would be done in order to maintain the structure manually
    The problem is to get the structure from external database (exec sql)

    Hi stephan,
    1. In oracle , there is one standard view
       eg. V_ALL_TAB_FIELDS
       in which we pass the table name,
      and it returns, the records,
      for the fieldnames, field type, its length, its sequence number etc.
    2. Similarly u may discover for PS also.

  • DD03P Table is a Structure in the SAP Version 5.0

    I made the mistake, not is the table DD03P is a View.
    I am doing the migration of Sap Version.
    In my SAP R/3 Version 4.0B, exist a View DD03P but in the Version 5.0 is a Structure.
    Because i read the DD03P View, and the system give me the follow error: "DD03P is not defined in the ABAP dictionary as a table, projection view, or database view".
    What can i do for resolve this problem?

    Hi,
    When I'm trying to select from DD03L as suggested by you all, I'm getting the following error:
    "Unknown column name "SCRTEXT_L" field list. field list. field list.field list."
    Does anyone know how to overcode that? It's a standard table and solutions to that should easily be found, I guess.
    Please help.
    Thank you.

  • Space problems with the SAP Database MS SQL 2000

    Hi,
    Actually, I have a size problem with the database, I have MS SQL Server 2000 with Service Pack4 on a Windows 2003 Server environment that is my DataBase Server of my ERP ECC 6.0. On the other hand I have a storage where I have 229 Gb of free space used only for the database files of the SAP data and the SAP log file.
    But when I check the DB space allocation on trx. DB02 I saw this:
    3 Database files and 1 transaction log:
    The 3 database files are: PRDDATA1 (size 15,313 MB used 15016 MB) , PRDDATA2 (size 14106 MB used 13984 MB), PRDDATA3 (size 14472 MB used 14352 MB) and the log file is PRDLOG1 ( size 1000 MB) all of them with no limit option and growth by 10%.
    So I went to the SQL Enterprise Manager and I saw that my Database PRD properties and I got this information:
    My database size is 44892.48 Mb size with only 1330.36 Mb of free space and that is alarming.
    So the question here is how ,if I have a storage where the sap data is storing with 229 Gb of free space, can I make the database files grow up in order to use all the available space of my storage.
    Can you help me please because it is critical being my productive system?

    I resolved this issue myself. Thanks for all your help.

  • Integrate the Org structure and employees SAP HR system to CRM via ALE

    Hi All,
    We want to integrate the organization structure and employees from mySAP HR system to mySAP CRM system. We are also aware that the same can be achieved through ALE Interface between both these systems.
    In addition to the HR Organization Structure from HR system, can we also bring over the Sales Organization Structure from R/3 using transaction CRMC_R3_ORG_GENERATE?
    1) Can someone , please let us the possible challenges which might occur when we download HR Org structure from SAP HR to SAP CRM.?
    2) What is the implication of maintaining an HR org structure and CRM Sales Org structure within the SAP CRM 52 system?
    3) Any _precautions) should we take before doing the download via ALE??
    Please get back, suitable points will be awarded.
    Regards
    Ritvij

    Hi Ritvij,
    Couple of things that spring to mind are:
    1) When you do the initial data load (PFAL) try to ensure that no one is amending the Org structure as Objects can be locked and therefore not transferred. (on one of our test loads the top level was locked and therfore all subsequent levels were just transfered and we didn't have a top level)
    2) Keep the 'forms of address' in CRM the same as the R/3 ones
    3) Keep the same Employee and Org Unit IDs but prefix with (for exmaple) EM and OU in CRM. (Through the HR integration config in CRM). This may also (apparantley) aid you if set up something like an Employee interaction centre in the future.
    I will update when other stuff springs to mind.
    Cheers

  • Update the database structure from entity Framework Model

    Hello !
    I'm using VB.net , EF6 with SQL server 2008R2 database.
    This is the situation :
    I have created the application. Using wizard I have created the Entity model from an existing database.
    A client start using this application using this database on his computer.
    After some month , I made some modifications on the database and I have updated the model on my application .
    Now I have a new .exe file that has the new model from the new database.
    I put the new .exe file on the client computer.
    Now on his computer : The .exe file has the new database model , but the sql server database has the old structure.
    I want to know : Is possible to update the database structure from the entity model on application ?
    I want to add a command on application that can make ( if is possible ) this update , so the database become up to date according to entity model ?
    Thank you !

    Hello,
    From your description, it seems that you want to apply a migration for a database first approach, unfortunately, as far as I know, EF Migrations is a product targeted at Code First and doesn't support Database First operations. A workaround I know is to
    use update-scripts. If your database structure would be changed frequently, it is recommended to use the Code First approach which would have a better workaround for migrations, for details, you could refer to this
    video,
     and with the
    Entity Framework Power Tools, it is easy to create a code first based project form an existing database.

  • Database structure check

    Hello All,
    In the Live Cache alert monitor for a production system I am getting a red alert for the node "Database Structure Check" The message is "No data consistency check in the last three months"
    Can anyone please let me know if I can schedule the "Check database structure" from the DB Planning Calendar ( LC10 ) in the production system? Does it have any effect on the system performance?  If there is any prerequisite steps that need to done before running the "Check database structure" please let me know.
    The Live Cache version that is currently running is 7.6.02   BUILD 014-123-152-175.
    Thanks and Best Regards,
    Sanjay

    Hello Sanjay,
    you can use the TA DB13 or DB13C for planning the Check Data. But there are also other possibilities to do it. I think all you questions in the FAQ note to the Check Data procedure.
    Please try this link
    https://websmp230.sap-ag.de/sap(bD1kZSZjPTAwMQ==)/bc/bsp/spn/sapnotes/index2.htm?numm=940420&nlang=&smpsrv=
    If it doesn't work you can check the note 940420 directly.

  • Repeating structure through the receiver file adapter

    I wanted to ask wheter it is possible to create repeating structure through the SAP xi receiver file adapter. What I'm trying to accomplish is this:
    Item1
    Item2
    Item1
    Item2
    (variable number of times).
    I can accomplish the following:
    Item1
    Item1
    Item2
    Item2
    What I could do is have the Item1 and Item2 fields in the same segment in the design time, but this would mean the file adapter would write all the items on a single line instead of two.
    There is no way to define line breaks between the the receiver file adapter field parameters ?
    There is no way to support nested structures in the recordset definition ie. Item1.Item2 ?

    Henri,
    What Vishal means is following:
    Add sequences of the tag <recordset> between pairs of item1, item2:
    <documentName>
       <<b>recordset</b>>
         <item1>
           <field-item1>column-value</field-item1>
           <field-item1>column-value</field-item1>
           <field-item1>column-value</field-item1>
         </item1>
         <item2>
           <field-item2>column-value</field-item2>
           <field-item2>column-value</field-item2>
           <field-item2>column-value</field-item2>
         </item2>
       </<b>recordset</b>>
       <<b>recordset</b>>
         <item1>
           <field-item1>column-value</field-item1>
           <field-item1>column-value</field-item1>
           <field-item1>column-value</field-item1>
         </item1>
         <item2>
           <field-item2>column-value</field-item2>
           <field-item2>column-value</field-item2>
           <field-item2>column-value</field-item2>
         </item2>
       </<b>recordset</b>>
    </documentName>
    A similar problem with header and items is in this thread:

  • MOPatch bpmig.sh Structural Changes in SAP Bundle Patches

    Structural Changes in SAP Bundle Patches New!
    As of June 2014, there is a change in the internal structure of the SAP Bundle Patches (SBPs) for Oracle. While this has many benefits, applying the new SBP for the first time requires special handling. For more information, see the hot news SAP Note 2011199.
    When looking at note 2011199 I found due to the changed structure and to identify stand alone patches it is recommended to run the bpmig.sh script.
    To avoid these problems or to detect them before actually installing this SBP, you must run the bundle patch migration script bpmig which is delivered with MOPatch 2.1.16 and later.
    The script comes up with an error message:
    Cannot determine SBP version from "SAP Bundle Patch 11.2.0.3.2 - 201205".
    opatch / mopatch semselfs seems to function properly...
    Any clues?

    Hi,
    Please check the following SAP Note 2032109 - Executing bpmig.sh shows "Cannot determine installed SBP"
    Thanks.

  • Use same report with same database structure to different database server.

    Hi,
    I have standard crystal reports which needs to be copied to another database server.
    The origin database has exactly same database structure with the data base in other server.
    My only question is how to change the connection of the crystal report file from old database server to new one without affecting the linked tables in the report. Would it be possible?
    Note: origin database and new database has same structure, tables and columns but differ in data on it. and both has different server. (MS SQL)
    Thanks,

    Hi Mark,
    Open the report in the CR Designer > select Database option on the top > select Set Datasource location.
    The pane on the top shows the current connection. Go ahead and create a new connection to the target database from the pane at the bottom. Once created, highlight one table from the top, highlight the corresponding table from the bottom pane and click Update. Do this for each table.

  • Lighthouse Waveset Database Structure

    Hi All,
    Can anybody help me in figuring out the database structure for the default Lighthouse Database - waveset
    In IDM 5.0, 9 tables have been defined in the waveset database (14 tables in idm 6.0). Primary, foreign and composite keys have been defined for the same. Can anyone help me in finding out which attribute is the primary/foreign/composite key to which table..
    I would also appreciate if somebody helps me in finding out which attribute(from which table) holds the application data viz .... User data(Provisioning Status like deleted, disabled, etc etc), Logs, Reports etc.
    Any help will be highly appreciated....
    Best Regards

    The data structure is found in the scripts which create the tables for you in the db_scripts directory. When you install you have to run that script. All the info should be there.
    Main tables (userobj, account etc) all have a PK of ID. The tables are linked to the *attr tables  via the id column (1-many relation). Most of the information you are looking for is part of the xml stored for each object if it is not specifically stored as an extended attribute in attr1..5.
    a bit more so you know where to start looking:
    userobj, userattr: user objects, no account information
    account, acctattr: all resource account objects
    task, taskattr: all tasks
    org, orgatrr: organisations in IDM
    object, attribute: all other objects
    Logging:
    log, logattr: audit log information
    syslog, slogattr: system log
    Reports are always generated they are not stored.

  • Message: "The database structure has been modified" every time I log to SAP

    Hello,
    "The database structure has been modified. In order to resume this process, all open windows will be closed". Every time I log to one of my companies in SAP Business One this message appears.
    I haven't installed any new addons and made no changes in database structure (and any other user hasn't done any changes), but this message appears always when I log to company for the first time (when I try to log on another user or log to another company there is no message). Can anyone help me with this problem?

  • The Database Structure Has Been Modified

    Good Day!
    Just want to ask what is the probable reason why upon using SAP, there is a system message " The database structure has been modified. In order to resume the process, all open windows will be closed. Continue?"  Even upon user log in , this system message appear affecting other user's data entry. Upon adding of the document (of other users when this system message appear), all the UDFs are missing, causing their data entry to be inaccurate since you cannot update row level once the document has been added.
    Hope to hear from you soon.
    Thanks

    Hello ...
    This error message appears every time that has altered the structure of the database, either by creating a new field of user or user table, so it is inevitable that appear the same.
    Now, it is necessary as a measure, to control who has access to make these changes, and that they are made without users.
    I hope it will help

  • The database structure has been modified - how to check if it happend?

    Hello,
    I have a question. How to check if the database structure has been modified? I know that there is shown a messagebox after creating table and adding some fields, but sometimes this message appear after some seconds. The problem is that I want to create table and UDO for this table, and until database structure is not modified I got an error message. If I wait and DB strucuture modifies then UDO is creating correctly.
    My question is - does anyone know how to check if database structure has been modified?
    Regards,
    Hmg

    Hi Szymon,
    I guess you are stuck up in a kinda scenario, where in, you will be populating a form with values, before the structure modifies, if this is going to be your problem, I can help you out with a work around.
    In the beginning of the process, before the creation of the UDO or tables, set a boolean value to false, and once all UDO's and Tables are created, only then, should you make it true and only after the boolean becomes true, you should proceed with populating the values from the screen.
    I really ament sure what your problem is, but one of my guys faced this problem, I then, thought even you might have a similar problem.
    Satish.

  • Best Practice for the database owner of an SAP database.

    We recently had a user account removed from our SAP system when this person left the agency.  The account was associated with the SAP database (he created the database a couple of years ago).
    I'd like to change the owner of the database to <domain>\<sid>adm  (ex: XYZ\dv1adm)  as this is the system admin account used on the host server and is a login for the sql server.  I don't want to associate the database with another admin user as that will change over time.
    What is the best practice for database owner for and SAP database?
    Thanks
    Laurie McGinley

    Hi Laura
    I'm not sure if this is best practise or not, but I've always had the SA user as the owner of the database. It just makes it easier for restores to other systems etc.
