DataGrid Column Sort Prevents Drag From Updating DataProvider

Hi
I have a datagrid with an XMLListCollection as the Data Provider.
I have dragging set on so that when I drag a row to somewhere else in the list the XMLListCollection gets updated just fine and so does the DataGrid.
However, if a column sort has previously been set this seems to stop the XMLListCollection being updated on the drag.
I have tried setting the sort property on the XMLListColelction to null and then doing a refresh - this works to a point but it restores the default sort order which is not really what I want as the user may wish to continue from where the column sort got them to.
I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions please ?

For instance, after the page with the flash module loads, and I click on a column, I get the error. This is quite random, sometimes I need a couple of tries to get the error...

I get this error message: Something is preventing Firefox from updating securely. Please make sure that you have the latest version of Firefox. I have uninstalled and re-installed. It did not work. Support tells me to click on Firefox at the top. I have no word at the top which says Firefox. I have the Firefox icon.

This issue can be caused by the presence of leftover files in the Firefox program folder (defaults\pref) like a file firefox.js that overrides the update URL with a wrong link.
Do a clean reinstall and be sure to remove the Firefox program folder.

Please can someone help me I have been getting from time to time an update box pop up that reads "Update Failed Something is preventing Firefox from updating securely. Please make sure that you have the latest version of Firefox from http://www.firefox.com", however my Firefox is up to date (I think). I have uninstalled then reinstalled but I'm still getting this error. I have been having this issue on and off for a couple of months and although I have posted before about this I'm still without a solution. I have looked into my programs folder as it tells me to in the help information to look for the active-update.xml, updates.xml and the updates folder and it's contents so I can delete them but I can't seem to find them. I'm definately not a computer whizz so any help anyone wants to offer needs to be in step by step form. Thanks

Hi there!
Currently I use Gnome 3.4
The last time I did full system updated to Gnome 3.6, everything went very bad. Currently I have a lot of packages waiting for update, and I do not update because it includes a lot of Gnome 3.6 packages as well. Is there a way to ignore the whole gnome group from updating? Currently I do not have time to mess with the stupid things they did in Gnome 3.6, but I do want my system up to date.

You can use IgnoreGroup in the [options] section of pacman.conf:
IgnoreGroup = gnome

Personally never used the feature, so I'm not sure about the implications of ignoring an entire group.

Can we call the Datagrid Column Sort function?

Is it possible to call the same function within the datagrid
component that is used when we do an onClick event of the column
headers? When you click on the column header, it will sort the
column ascending or descending.
I would like to call that same process after the datagrid is
loaded, programmatically. But the same as if the user had clicked
the column.
I have looked at examples in the help that sort the
dataprovider array. But if we are able to do this at runtime with a
user clicking on the column, it seems that it should be possible
since the datagrid is doing a sort on the internal dataprovider
object for the datagrid.
If it is not available now, this functionality should be
added.

Yes, you can do what you want by setting the data provider's
"sort" property
to be an instance of class Sort, and putting one or more
SortFields inside the
Sort.
If you put just a single SortField inside the Sort, then the
header field will
have the up/down triangle indicating the results of the sort,
just as if the
user had clicked on the column. If you put two or more
SortFields inside the
Sort, then there won't be a triangle, because of course it
wouldn't make sense
to put on there.

Is there a way to prevent iTunes from updating apps?

I have recently updated an app that I love to play but the update caused me to lose all my saved data and it's very buggy and crashes all the time. I managed to rescue the old version from the recycle bin and deleted the new version from iTunes and my iPod Touch before dragging the old version back into iTunes, but iTunes and the App Store wants to update that app. Does anybody know a way to tell iTunes and the App Store do not check for updates for a particular app?

I don't want iTunes to ask me at all to update that particular app. The new version will still lose all data in that app and I don't want to worry about accidentally clicking update all.

I think I have the latest Firefox version, but keep getting messages about updating it. 1 says something is preventing Firefox from updating securely; another says something is trying to trick Firefox into accepting an unsecure update. What's going on?

The 1st message goes on to say, "Please make sure that you have the latest version of Firefox from http://www.firefox.com." Assuming 4.0.1 is the latest version, it seems this is a bogus message and I haven't clicked on the link.
The 2nd message goes on to say something like, "if this continues [the attempt to trick Firefox into accepting an unsecure update], contact your network administrator."
I started getting the messages on all 4 of our PC's (2 desktops running Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit, 1 running XP 32-bit, & a laptop running Vista Home Basic 64-bit) after updating to Firefox 4.0 on them. I manually updated to 4.0.1 on all thinking that would stop the messages, but it hasn't.
I loaded & ran free versions of McAfee Stinger, Malwarebytes Anti-Malware, and Super Anti-Spyware programs on all our PCs; each program found & repaired some infected files on each computer, but the messages continue on all.

Apparently this occurs when Firefox has problems with security certificates. There have been a few questions about this. I will try to get advice about this.
Apparently you are using Internet Explorer 9 (From your system details). Do you have Google Updater plugin installed on Firefox ?
(That been implicated in this sort of problem by one poster, and some users with the problem do have Google Updater, but some do not)

Prevent Skype from updating?

I have a serious issue with Skype updating on its own.
Every few days, Skype will update to version 6.11 without permission. I've tried turning off updates within Skype's settings (didn't work), blacklisting the Skype update server (didn't work), removing the updater.exe (didn't work), disabling the Skype Updater service (didn't work), and removing the Skype Updater service from my computer using the Command Prompt (didn't work).
Even severely hobbled, Skype is still finding a way to update itself. Modern versions of Skype don't work properly with my (Windows 8 ) computer. I require Skype for work, so just getting rid of it like any sensible person would isn't an option. There has to be a better way than letting Skype update itself every time I turn my back, letting it mess up my computer, uninstalling it, and reinstalling a version that works.

Before last month, I was running 5.8.0.158, but after it started trying to update, I switched to 5.9.0.115 since it was the most similar version with the ability to disable automatic updates. Forced updating happens with both versions, even with the Skype Update service disabled, even with the service completely removed from my computer, and even with Skype's servers in the hosts file.
This is how the hosts file currently reads; I modified it on the seventh, with admin permissions.

[E2013][C#] How to prevent user from updating its own events on Exchange

Hi everybody,
I hope you can help me. I have a system based on Exchange / Outlook 2013, and I would like to put on user's calendar some events that they can't delete nor update. I have tried to create appointments using
Exchange EWS with an administrator account, but the problem is that those events can be deleted or updated by users. This is because the events are on user's own calendar, so usually user can update them.
How can I have "some" events to be readonly for a user, but must be visibile in its own calendar? (No other calendar overlay). Is there a way to throw an exception or something similar on Exchange Server when a user modify those events
(some custom property must identify them, of course)? I have looked at transport agents, but I haven't found any example for managing calendar items server side.
I cannot use only an Outlook plugin because users could connect to exchange with smartphone, and they could update appointments from there. I have to prevent updating (from Outlook and from smartphone, basically from everywhere except for
an administrator user) for some events (programmatically created by EWS, for example) which are in user's calendar. Can you help me?

Hi Antonio,
bad news for you: It's impossible. A User always has full control over all items in his or her mailbox (including his calendar), no matter what you do.
If it's important enough to you, you can write a service that monitors all those specific appointments and undos all changes the user applies to them (it won't keep the user from changing the Appointment, but it will not have effect for long. Your users
may feel a bit upset about that though).

I have two Apple IDs - One prevents me from updating Apps...

I have two Apple IDs and although I am signed into my iPad as one, when I try to update my Apps., it asks for my password for the other ID - a password that is not retrievable from any of my email accounts.

That's probably because the Apps were purchased through the other Apple ID. SInce the Apps cannot be transferred between Apple IDs you may have to delete the Apps in question and repurchase them under the correct Apple ID.
Make sure that you setup a rescue e-mail address for your functioning Apple ID.

Sign-in problem preventing me from updating/installing latest version of flash player

I got a notice that my flash player was out of date. I have spent all morning trying to update or install the latest version but I only get as far as the sign-in page. My name is automatically in the User ID but the password isn't. I typed in the password and nothing happens other than the window shaking. I reset a new password and tried again and again and again. I changed the user ID to my email address and attempted half a dozen more times only to still get the shaking screen. What do I do now? I can't get any help in the Chat Help section of Adobe. Nobody is online to help me.

Well, I'm glad to hear that I'm not the only one having this problem but I'm sorry for all of us because there doesn't seem to be any way to get an answer from Adobe. Are you using a PC or a Mac? I'm on a Mac and my husband says he remembers being told that Apple doesn't support Adobe.

Nvidia-ck issues - dependencies prevent me from updating

So basically, as far as I know:
* Want to update entire system, yaourt complains about a dependency that can't be statisfied: nvidia-ck requires nvidia-utils=337.19
* Can't update nvidia-ck, because it tries to install nvidia-utils version 337.25, but for some case can't, because it couldn't statisfy the nvidia-utils=337.19 requirement for nvidia-ck?
* Can't update nvidia-utils because it requires version 337.19

Cannot find feature "find duplicates" in itunes 11.4 on MAC - I have duplicates that are preventing me from updating my iphone

I recently noticed that all of my playlists were gone from my iphone - after searching the web - I saw the issue with duplicates and I have many! All of the solutions say to use the "Find Duplicates" function and I cannot find it ANYWHERE! Getting really frustrated with this issue. Any help would be appreciated!

in iTunes 11.4, Show Duplicate Items is in the View menu, and to get back to normal you choose Show All Items.

When I connected my iPad to my computer to backup with iTunes, it updated to iOS 7 without asking me. I did not want update for various reasons, one being concern that it would rum slower which it does. It is laggy.

You may have many apps open which can possibly cause the slowdown and possibly the loss of wifi.
