DataSource for FAGLFLEXT and BSEG, or New Table in ECC6?

need to create an extractor to have all the information of FAGLFLEXT, because we need to keep the ledger information and the split of the information. However, we need to add 13 fields contained in BSEG.
Therefore we thought to reads the line items table FAGLFLEXA, and then enhace it throught BSEG table.
However, since we are using ECC6 and BI7. It is not support the creation of DataSources for FAGLFLEXA throught FAGLBW03.
Is it an option to incorporate all fields into FAGLFLEXT.
Can we creat a new table group based on FAGLFLEXT, and then adding the coding block extensions to that table -
how does new g/l and the new table group work in parallel? Which is the procedure to do it?
Documentation says we can create a new table group based on FAGLFLEXT --- its the how does it work in conjuction part...for example...the new g/l handles document splitting and one other thing georg referenced last night...will the split documents go into our new table group?
BSEG does not have the document splitter information that we need (it's incomplete data). It's missing profit centers on many items, it's missing the proper split of transactions.
Thanks for your comments.

Here is more information about this post.
Client situation:  Our client is implementing ECC 6 and is using the "New-GL" features.  Because of business requirements, the coding block has been extended (not insignificantly - 18 extra fields at the moment) to accommodate legal, regulatory and management reporting.  The reporting solution includes standard ECC reporting (e.g. report writer, report painter reports) as well as feeds to BW (BI 7).
The Challenge:  Our understanding is that adding all of the coding block extensions to the New-GL tables (ie. FAGLFLEXA and FAGLFLEXT) may lead to performance degradation in the ECC system.  However, we still need to accommodate the requirement to report by the additional dimensions that are not currently included in the New-GL, so our challenge has been to find a solution that minimizes performance issues, while still allowing us to have all the necessary dimensions with which to do the required reporting.
What we would like to know:  How have you handled this in similar situations?
Have you added to the New-GL tables? How many fields? Performance issues encountered?
Have you created additional table group(s) based on the New-GL and then modified that structure to have the new fields?  How does the additional table group work co-incident with New-GL (e.g. does the additional table group receive document splitting information?)?
Have you created custom extractors for BW?  On what basis (we understand that FAGFLEXA cannot be created as a datasource to feed BW)?

  • Relevant datasource for ANLA and ANLC tables?

    Hi,
    In breif these are the relevant tables
    ANLA and ANLC , in this i can able to find the datasources for ANLC i.e, 0fi_aa_11, but my requirenet is to have both tables in one datasource. And more as far as my search there is no relevant datasource for ANLA table, if  not how to acheive this?
    Thanks in Advance
    vas

    Or else you can use two datasources for this purpose. Check here:

    I AM TRYING TO IMPORT CHARACTERS FROM A TAB DELIMITED FILE INTO A TABLE ON LABVIEW.  ONCE THE DATA IS IN THE TABLE I WANT TO BE ABLE TO SELECT INDIVIDUAL STRINGS FROM THE TABLE AND PLACE IT IN A NEW TABLE.  WHEN I CLICK ON A STRING I WOULD LIKE THE SELECTED STRING TO SHOW IN A TEXT BOX LABELED 'SELECTED STEP'  AFTER ALL THE SELECTED STRINGS IS IN THE TABLE I WOULD LIKE TO SAVE THE NEW TABLE AS ANOTHER SPREADSHEET -- TAB DELIMITED -- FILE, MAKING IT ACCESSIBLE TO OPEN.  HERE IS WHAT I HAVE SO FAR.  I CAN INPUT DATA INTO THE TABLE, BUT I CAN ONLY TRANSFER ONE STRING INTO THE TABLE I WOULD LIKE TO BE TO INPUT MULTIPLE STRINGS.    ALSO WHENEVER I TRY SAVING THE FILE, IT ALWAYS SAVES A UNKNOWN FILE, HOW CAN I GET IT TO SAVE AS A SPREADSHEET FILE.  THANKING ALL OF YOU IN ADVANCE FOR YOUR HELP!!!!!!

    Pondered,
       The question you are asking is the same one that you asked in: http://forums.ni.com/ni/board/message?board.id=170&message.id=132508#M132508, to which I supplied a revised version of the original vi you used (which was modified from the original one I supplied to an earlier thread). A couple of questions: 1) What does my latest not do that is in your question, 2) Why are you starting yet another thread about the same problem?  We are here trying to help, it makes it a lot easier if you keep the same problem in the same thread, it reduces duplication of effort from those that might not have been following the previous thread(s).  Those of us that don't have our "names in blue" are just doing this "for fun" (the blue names are NI employees, who may still be doing it "for fun"), and it makes it more fun if it doesn't seem (correctly or not) that our attempts are ignored.  If an answer doesn't help, or seems incomplete, post a little more detail to the same thread so that the original respondent, or someone new, can provide more information, or understand your problem better.

  • Enhancing datasource for qty and currency fields gives error

    Hi Everyone
    i need some advice on the following
    i am  enhancing a datasource which contains some currency and quantity fields
    when i check my datasource i get the following error
    specify reference table AND reference field
    below is more detail on it  but i am not sure i know what is means
    Diagnosis
    You must specify reference tables and reference fields for fields containing currency amounts or quantity data. You have specified either only the reference field or the reference table and have not maintained either entry.
    Procedure
    Add the missing entry. You can do this with the single field maintenance function of the table.
    i have tried ua=sing data element instaed of field name but still no luck
    can anyone help?
    Thankyou
    PG

    Hi,
    When you enhace datasource for currency/quantity fields, you have to give reference fields and tables for that.
    Please specify the reference field and reference table for the currency/quantity field.
    Are you enhancing generic DS?
    Thanks,
    Praveen Tati

  • Using one datasource for attributes and text?

    I am currently loading master data from a flat file using a data source. The flat file contains master data attributes as well as master data text. Is there a disadvantage of using just one datasource (for attributes) to load attributes AND text or is it better to create two data sources, one for attributes and one specifically for text?
    So far, the one datasource only approach seems to work, but I am trying to understand the impact if I use an attribute data source to load text. Will this cause any problems or hurt performance?
    Thank you,
    Dennis

    Hi Dennis,
    it depends on your requirements... I've never came across any problems loading hierarchy, text and attribute master data with a single data source. If one source file is containing all information this should be the fastest way to load master data, using several data sources means processing one input file several times.
    I would prefer modeling different data sources for master data because it is easier to adapt your solution if input format changes. Also system is easier to understand (e.g. process chains) / handle if several persons are involved... but from a technical view there should be no disadvantages.
    Best regards,
    Björn

  • LDAP failing for iPrint and iFolder after new CA created

    Last week we replaced our Certificate Authority as it was due to expire yesterday (Monday). It was currently running on a fully patches Netware 6.5 server and we took the decision to move it to a SLES 11 SP 2 OES 11 server and re-create all the certificates - following Option 2 for TID 3618399.
    We re-ran PKIDIAG on the Novell server and tckeygen, and restarted and everything seemed fine - Groupwise (8) webaccess and the PO using ldap auth were working. But this morning we've discovered that ldap is failing to do secure binds for iprint secure printers and iFolder. We see this error message in the log screen:
    >11:45:44 11:45:44 ldap *MASTER[xxxx.our-domain.com] connection restored
    >11:45:44 11:45:44 iFolder_ldap01[xxxx.our-domain.com][-1] ldap_simple_bind : Can't contact LDAP server(81)

    and in the apache error log we see:
    [Tue Aug 27 11:30:08 2013] [error] [client 10.0.0.43] no acceptable variant: SYS:/apache2/error/HTTP_UNAUTHORIZED.html.var
    [Tue Aug 27 11:30:08 2013] [warn] [client 10.0.0.43] [10] auth_ldapdn authenticate: user bob authentication failed; URI /ipps/Ricoh [LDAP: ldap_simple_bind_s() failed][Can't contact LDAP server]
    Nothing else was charged other than creating a new CA (on a new server), removing the old one from eDirectory and generating the new certificates. If we use a web browser to the server to check the certificate we see that the CA cannot be validated as it is internal and not a publicly trusted one, but IIRC the old CA did the same.
    PKIDiag and SDIDiag report no issues. The only thing I can imagine that could be causing the issue is the fact the CA is no longer on the same server hosting iFolder and iPrint. Both server host eDirectory and are part of the same replica ring, they can communicate and also time is synchronised.
    Any ideas?
    Mark.

    I'm now pretty sure that the cert is being invalidated because the new CA is not trusted by the old server. Strange that PKIDiag has no problems with it. So really looking for a way to authorise a CA for ldap secure I think.
    I can connect to the server over ldaps (port 636) using Softerra Ldap browser from my PC, again I get the certificate not valid as we have the internal CA authorising it, but you can accept the certificate and authenticate fine and use LDAP.

  • Help i have forgotten my password for itunes and have a new email address but cant change this as i have to login first, any advice???

    help i have lost my password to log into itunes and have a new email address but can't change this because i can't login?????

    Whenever a menu choice is grayed out, that is because you have Restrictions turned on in Settings.  Be sure to turn it off.
    You are confusing an itunes store account with an icloud account.  You two can continue using the same ID for itunes (thus sharing purchased music, apps, etc.), but you really should have separate accounts (different IDs) for icloud, since an account is intended for one user to keep his/her devices in sync.
    To create a new icloud account, go to
    http://www.apple.com/icloud/setup/
    Then go to Settings>icloud and scroll to the bottom of the screen and tap Delete Account.  (have restrictions turned off)  That will disconnect the device from the account but will not delete data in icloud or other devices.  Then sign in using the new ID.

  • TS2621 I have a Mac desktop for home and recently bought new iPhone 4s. I was receiving email on both, but all of a sudden am only receiving email on iPhone and not on iMac at home. How do I remedy this?

    I have an iMac desktop for home and recently bought an iPhone 4s. I was receiving my email on both, but now it only goes to my phone. How do I remedy this?

    My problem is the opposite. My desktop apparently removes the mail from the mail servers before my iPad can read it.
    One of my email accounts is a POP account. mail has a setting to leave the mail on the server, but I can't see that it makes any difference. The mail going to that account still doesn't make it to my iPad. I also have an IMAP account, but I don't see a similar setting.
    I would like to be able to use my desktop as my main email platform, but I also want to see the latest using my iPad when I am traveling.

  • Best practices for creating and querying a history table?

    Suppose I have a table of name-value pairs, and I want to keep track of changes to them so that I can query the value of any pair at any point in time.
    A direct approach would be to use a schema like this:
    CREATE TABLE NAME_VALUE_HISTORY (
      NAME      VARCHAR2(...),
      VALUE     VARCHAR2(...),
      MODIFIED DATE
    );When a name-value pair is updated, a new row is added to this table with the date of the change.
    To determine the value associated with a name at a particular point in time, one uses a query like:
      SELECT * FROM NAME_VALUE_HISTORY
      WHERE NAME = :name
        AND MODIFIED IN (SELECT MAX(MODIFIED)
                        FROM NAME_VALUE_HISTORY
                        WHERE NAME = :name AND MODIFIED <= :time)My question is: is there a better way to accomplish this? What indexes/hints would you recommend?
    What about a two-table approach like this one? http://pratchev.blogspot.com/2007/05/keeping-history-data-in-sql-server.html

    There is one advantage... recording the change of a value is just one insert, and it is also atomic without the use of transactions.At the risk of being dumb, why is that an advantage? Oracle always and everywhere uses transactions so it's not like you're avoiding some overhead by not using transactions.
    If, for instance, the performance of reading the value of a name at a point in time is not important, then you can get by with just using one table - the history table.If you're not overly concerned with the performance implications of having the current data and the history data in the same table, rather than rolling your own solution, I'd be strongly tempted to use Workspace Manager to let Oracle keep track of the changes.
    You can create a table, enable versioning, and do whatever DML operations you'd like
    SQL> create table address(
      2    address_id number primary key,
      3    address    varchar2(100)
      4  );
    Table created.
    SQL> exec dbms_wm.enableVersioning( 'ADDRESS', 'VIEW_WO_OVERWRITE' );
    PL/SQL procedure successfully completed.
    SQL> insert into address values( 1, 'First Address' );
    1 row created.
    SQL> commit;
    Commit complete.
    SQL> update address
      2     set address = 'Second Address'
      3   where address_id = 1;
    1 row updated.
    SQL> commit;
    Commit complete.Then you can either query the history view
    SQL> ed
    Wrote file afiedt.buf
      1  select address_id, address, wm_createtime
      2*   from address_hist
    SQL> /
    ADDRESS_ID ADDRESS                        WM_CREATETIME
             1 First Address                  09-AUG-12 01.48.58.566000 PM -04:00
             1 Second Address                 09-AUG-12 01.49.17.259000 PM -04:00Or, even cooler, you can go back to an arbitrary point in time, run a query, and see the historical information. I can go back to a point between the time that I committed the first change and the second change, query the ADDRESS view, and see the old data. This is invaluable if you want to take existing queries and/or reports and run them as of certain dates in the past when you're trying to debug a problem.
    SQL> select *
      2    from address;
    ADDRESS_ID ADDRESS
             1 First AddressYou can also do things like set savepoints which are basically named points in time that you can go back to. That lets you do things like create a savepoint for the data as soon as month-end processing is completed so you can easily go back to "July Month End" without needing to figure out exactly what time that occurred. And you can have multiple workspaces so different users can be working on completely different sets of changes simultaneously without interfering with each other. This was actually why Workspace Manager was originally created-- to allow users manipulating spatial data to have extremely long-running transactions that could span days or months-- and to be able to switch back and forth between the current live data and the data in each of these long-running scenarios.

  • Standard Datasource for ECMCT and ECMCA:Consolidation

    Hi,
         Are there any Standard Datasources available for extractiong data from ECMCT and ECMCA(ECCS Tables).I am currently working in SAP ECC6.0.I could not find any Standard datasources.

  • Formula for multiple columns in a new table

    Hi,
    I've been using Numbers '08 for a while, but I've only been using rudimentary formulae such as "SUMIF" and "WEEKDAY." Recently I've been trying to put Numbers to better use. One major problem I've run into while writing a formula is this (I'm sure the question has been asked, yet I've searched the forums to no avail):
    I want to have two tables -- the first table is where I want to input my information; the second table I would like to be able to manipulate that information. For instance, in the first table I have (apologies, but I'm not sure how to incorporate a screenshot into my text):
    Table 1
    Date Color Location Minutes
    8/5 Blue Rome 60
    8/7 Green Paris 90
    8/7 Green Rome 45
    8/8 Blue Paris 120
    8/8 Blue Paris 30
    8/9 Blue Rome 90
    8/9 Green Paris 60
    Now, in Table 2, easily enough I am able to write a formula (using "SUMIF") for the number of minutes I've spent in Rome, but how do I write a formula to show how much time I've spent in Paris while Green? Table 2 right now is looking something like:
    Table 2
    ........Time Blue Green
    Paris 300 error error
    Rome 195 error error
    Is this a job for "VLOOKUP"? Do I need to make auxiliary columns? I have many such computations I would like to be able to perform in multiple tables from one source (Table 1). Any guidance would be much appreciated.

    With Numbers '09 you would use SUMIFS() but with Numbers '08 you must use auxikiary columns.
    In Tableau 1
    in column E the used formula is:
    =IF(AND($C=Tableau 2 :: $A$2,$B=Tableau 2 :: $C$1),$D,"")
    in column F it is:
    =IF(AND($C=Tableau 2 :: $A$3,$B=Tableau 2 :: $C$1),$D,"")
    in column G it is:
    =IF(AND($C=Tableau 2 :: $A$2,$B=Tableau 2 :: $D$1),$D,"")
    in column H it is:
    =IF(AND($C=Tableau 2 :: $A$3,$B=Tableau 2 :: $D$1),$D,"")
    In Tableau 2
    in B2 and B3 the formula is:
    =SUMIF(Tableau 1 :: C,"="&$A,Tableau 1 :: D)
    in C2 it is: =SUM(Tableau 1 :: E)
    in D2 it is: =SUM(Tableau 1 :: F)
    in C3 it is: =SUM(Tableau 1 :: G)
    in D3 it is: =SUM(Tableau 1 :: H)

  • Oracle 10.2 client for linux  and applying the new October Critical patch

    We are using the Oracle 10.2 client on one of our linux workstations.
    I can not find out if this new oracle critical patch October 05 needs to be applied to
    this client. Also, does anyone know if the Oracle 10.2 client already includes the patch updates for the alert 68 patchset? Our Oracle Sever runs on a solaris operating system which will be updated with the new critical October patch, but
    the linux client runs on a separate workstation.
    Thanks,

  • How To needed for zooming and KEEPING the new close-up format

    Hey folks, I have searched but perhaps I am not using the right key words because I cannot get the answer.
    I filmed and imported a clip which has the subjects too far away so I worked out how to use the wireframe (thanks for that- I got that much from here) to zoom in and reposition the edited clip.
    BUT- when I export it it is back to how it was- with too much wasted space around it.
    What do I need to do to KEEP the zoomed in look?
    Thank you for reading.

    Thank you Ian, it could well be. Changes only "stick" in the Viewer window, eh? I have looked and the slider in Motion is set to 140 so I assume that is percent. Am exporting as I type. Thank you very much.
    For those looking to scale/zoom in to crop the picture (edges):
    Select Image+Wireframe so that a white cross (from corner to corner) appears over your clip in Canvas (thank you Tom Wolsky) and then drag its corners in which ever way you would like- making the clip zoom in or out depending on your need. You can also move it around to recenter it if you wish.
    PS: I did this in the Viewer (and NOT the Canvas one) and it WORKED fine. However I am told that this is to be done in the one entitled Canvas.
