DB Calendar jobs created wrong SAPXPG_DBDEST RFC connection

Hi All,
I have just migrated our Development system from a disributed Windows System to Linux. We have ECC6, running on 2 Linux servers one is the CI and the other the DB host.
I have installed a stand alone gateway on the DB host, but when I try to schedule a job in the DBA Calendar the SAPXPG program tries to connect to the old DB server (NSWMSVM10)??
Has anyone see this before? Or know what could be wrong?
Thanks

  • SCU0 and RFC Connection

    Hi All,
    I have been asked to set up different RFC in order for certain users to use the SCU0 transaction.
    What type of RFC destination should I create?
    Type 3 for ABAP connections is my guess.
    How can  I set up restrictions to that specific RFC? How do I link this RFC to certain users?
    Any directions on these questions would be apreciated.
    Thank you
    Corinne

    Also, should I create a trusted RFC connection?
    Objectives: compare clients within DEV and from DEV to QAS
    Thnak you!

  • Strange behaviour with HTTP RFC Connection

    Hi Experts,
    today I investigated a strange behaviour in our SAP environment. I tried to create a HTTP RFC connection (SM59) from our integration server to a locale integration engine in our test environment.
    http:<server>:<port>/sap/xi/engine?type=entry
    A few days ago I do the same for the development environment and all works fine.
    For test purposes I used my user for the connection but when I tried to test the connection (test button) the authentification fails. After a few attempts my user was locked on the target server. (I called a admin to unlock my user).
    My first idea was that there is problem with the URL or something in this way. So I do a test within the browser and type in my user again. The result was - as aspect - a soap message that an empty message can not be processed.
    My second idea was that there are troubles with the authorization so I used a system user for the connection. I test the connection and received a message that the user has not enough rights to send messages to the locale integration server.
    So I came to the result that I mistyped my password due the first attempt. I try again and I was really very carefully by typing my password. I press the test button and it fails with the message that I could not logged on to the system. I try it many times and it always fails.
    Finally I use the system user and attach the required roles to the user.
    But has anybody an idea why it was not possible to use my user? I really don't understand it since it works fine in the development environment.
    Björn

    what is the version of SAP system in dev and test environments.......
    Some older version SAP systems(4.6 version) require passwords in CAPITALs....

  • Created logical port via soamanagern, RFC connection missing

    Hi,
    I automaticly created a new logical port using a WSDL to use a Web Service in ABAP.
    When I looked for the RFC connection (sm59) to maintain a user in the Logon & Security tab, I could not find the RFC Connection. Neither was a HTTP connection stated in the Administrativ Information of the logical port, as it is usual.
    Am I missing something?
    Thanks very much.

    Andreas,
    Sorry for the late reply. I do not get any error, the problem I have is that after the creation of the logical port through SOAMANAGER, I don´t see any RFC connection in SM59. I got information in other post I wrote, that I wont get that RFC connection because the auto creation of the RFC connection when a logical port is created has been discontinued in newer versions.
    Now I have to check if there is something wrong with my network because I can not consume the webservice I need.
    Thanks for your help.

  • Create new user session after RFC connects

    Hi,
    My client is non SAP. They connect to SAP through an intermediate software , using RFC connections. My client requires that when creating a BOM through BAPI, the "created by" column should have a user name they pass, and not the username with which the RFC connected .
    Is it possible to have a FM in which I can create a new user session, passing username and password, call the bapi that will create the BOM with this username, and close the session?
    Kindly help.
    Thanks in advance

    Most security audits will trigger a warning when they determinate that the RFC common user is allowed to use another logon id. Usually you can provide auditors a list of such id with explanation before the audit execution, sample of explanation to provide :
    - The RFC enabled FM which create the batch job must pass the logon id to be used, and the calling application must not allow user to change this value.
    - The RFC default logon, should be allowed to the minimal authorization required, and could be for example allowed to no transaction, only some RFC FM. (start with [Note 460089 - Minimum authorization profile for external RFC programs|https://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/460089])

    Hi Friends,
    I have to create rfc connection in BI.
    I have one client in BI ie302 and two cliwnt in Dev ie101 and 151.
    Now I have one connection which is working fine ie 302 to 101.
    NO my requirment is to create another connecitons ie 302 to 151.
    Kindly sugest if it is feasible and is there any specific settings for the same.
    I tried but at a time only one connection is working fine.
    Thanls in advance.

    Hi,
    Can you check  if there is any other user ID specified in "BW user for ALE".
    To check, Go to transaction RSA1 --> Settings --> Global Settings.
    If you find a different user id there, then specify the correct BW user id there.
    Please refer to OSS Note 410952 for details.
    Hope this solves your problem!!

    Raj.

  • Create RFC connection during an Ecatt

    hey guys
    can anyone send me a document or explain me the steps to create an RFC connection when we create an ECatt in parent and child clients .

    Hi Parag,
    Creating an RFC connection should be done through SM59.
    In SECATT.,
    1. Create System Data Container
    2 .Give title in the attributes
    3. In System Data, name the target system
    4. Specify a RFC destination that links or connects to the target system.
    Thanks.

  • Job to monitor RFC connection

    Hi,
    Is there any FM, ABAP report or job using which I can monitor the RFC connection of a source system.
    Basically I want to define one step in process chain which will check the RFC connection. If connection is fine, then only the remaining steps in Process chain as defined should execute.
    Any Idea?
    Regards,
    Vikrant.

    Hi Paolo,
    Thx for replying. But I'm not quite sure how to use this FM.
    It doesn't have any input parameter. So I cannot give any particular source system name for monitoring if I use it in a ABAP report.
    Could you explain a bit more.
    Regards
    Vikrant.

  • Unable to create RFC connections

    I got a message to update a managed system. I start managed system configuration and select the affected system, configure system step 3 connect managed system. At this point I get an error stating "Error when opening and RFC connection (lb: Hostname or service of the message server unknown"  I have tried pinging the system by hostname from the solution manager server and it pings fine. I ran a connection test from the Solution Manager server to the managed system using the one RFC connection available and it connects well also. When I look in the work directory there is an error message repeating the above. Not sure what else I can look at there, I entered the system into the HOSTS file on the solution manager server to see if it made a difference it doesn't. Attached is the entry in the DEV_RFC log from the work directory it won't paste into the question for some reason

    I needed to specify "MSHOST"=>"",    Its strange that this was not neccessary for interactive scripts but the problem is solved

  • RFC Connection error - Invalid length. Check parameters.

    Hi Forum, Good Morning!
    My ABAP Program will run in BACK Ground Job Processing(SM37) to download data to Presentation server( Local PC Directory). So I have created a RFC destination type TCP/IP to use 'RFC_REMOTE_FILE'  function module in my ABAP Program.
    When I am trying to test RFC connection It is giving following error.
    ERROR   Invalid length. Check parameters

    I did following procedure before I test RFC destination..
    I have created RFC Destination : BJRFC
    Technical Settings: Selected Registered Server Program radio button
    Program ID: BJACCESS
    Gateway host : 172.22.149.199
    gateway Service: sapdp10
    In my local machine Copied  ‘SAPRFC.INI’ file from the TEXT folder to the BIN Folder.
    Then open the SAPRFC.INI file in BIN folder and Register a RFC server program at a SAP Gateway.
    DEST=R3D_R
    TYPE=R
    PROGID=BJACCESS.rfcexec
    GWHOST=172.22.149.199
    GWSERV=sapdp10
    RFC_TRACE=0
    DEST=R3D_R
    TYPE=R
    PROGID=BJACCESS.trfcexec
    GWHOST=172.22.149.199
    GWSERV=sapdp10
    RFC_TRACE=0
    Then entered below command in dos prompt.
    C:\Program Files\SAP\FrontEnd\SAPgui\rfcsdk\bin>rfcexec -aBJACCESS –172.22.149.199 –xsapdp10.
    so how do i proceed in this kind of case.
    any help  please.
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi,
       Just you check whether your program is registered or not.
       If it is registered then you can find in SMGW transaction and go to
       GOTO - Logged on clients
    in that you will be able to see your program name if it registers succesfully.
    you have typed rfcexec -aBJACCESS –172.22.149.199 –xsapdp10
    in this way.
    In this you have misseg 'g' in front of your sap ip.
    Thanks&Regards

  • RFC connection from SAP R/3 to OS400 server

    Hi,
    I am trying to establish an rfc connection between an R/3 system and OS400 server.
    I dont have much experience on communication interfaces i have seen different options in SAPRFC.ini file but still i wanted to get some expert comments from the experts.
    Please help me on this.
    Thanks
    Junaid.

    Hi,
    We had the same scenario here also. You can call .NET code from ABAP program using SAP .Net connector.
    The data can be downloaded to SQL server based on periodic job wise (every Half an hour or 1 Hour) .
    1. Write an ABAP report to get new personnal numbers from HR master tables based on created date.
    2. Create a RFC to pass employees details.
    3. You can create a proxy in .NET server stub code based on the above RFC.
    4. Write code to get data .NET object and establise a connection to SQL server.
    5. Write code to push data into SQL server tables.
    6. After you complete the .NET code, when you generate this code will create an exe file.
    7. You have to execute that exe with few command line arguments.
    8. The command line arguments need to setup in RFC destination (SM59).
    9. In that ABAP report call this RFC with RFC destination as you defined.
    .NET code can be done by .NET person.
    Let me know if you have any clarifications.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Govind.

  • RFC CONNECTION BETWEEN DS AND BW

    Hi Experts,
    I'm facing an issue Loading a BW Cube from Data Services because the RFC connection is lost frequently and to restore it we have to reboot the Data Services server in order to execute the loading job. We've already installed the fix pack 12.2.3 to DS but now we're are watching that strange behaviour.
    Then when the data is loaded to the PSA its taking so much time to load this data to the CUBE, for 6 millions records it takes more than 24 hours, its really insane!
    Do you know what could be wrong in our deployment????
    Thanks and regards,
    Julio

    Hi, Carlo!
    We were encountered the same problem in our project in the end of April. We wrote message to SAP, and still waiting when our customer provide access to supprot team for SAP system.

  • Error in the RFC Connection

    Hi Expert,
    First, I'm sorry if I post in the wrong thread.
    I have a problem when creating RFC Connection. I want to create RFC Connection between BW systems to R/3 System in SM59.
    I already insert the right IP Address to the target system, but when I test the connection, I got this error :
    host name 'SAP-BO-01' unknown / CPI-C error CM_PRODUCT_SPECIFIC_ERROR
    I already test the connection from BW to R/3 and vice versa, using ping in command prompt, and I got no problem. Also, I already create a log on to the target system, and it was successful, but the RFC Connection still error.
    Did you have any clue or solution about this?
    I really appreciate every helpful comment from you. Thank You...

    Hi
    Do you have mapping in the host file in the server? ask you basis team to check that.
    If you can ping the server, that means connection is fine, only thing is there might be some entry missing in hosts or services file in the server.
    During creation of RFC connection you can directly use the IP address also. as you said you are able to ping the server that means you got to know the IP address. Now use the below command to know the exact hostname.
    ping -a <IP_ADDRESS>
