DB View and p6 web service

Question

Hi everyone,
Is it possible to get data through p6 web service from DB view, not only from data table?
I was thinking to create a view in which I can join OBS and Projects table. But not sure, if is possible to get data from this view in .net application by using p6 ws service?
If it possible, could you provide some examples?

You can do the same basic thing using the P6WS and .NET.
Use the OBS Service inside the Global namespace.  Call the ReadOBS Operation to retrieve an array of OBS objects.  Cast the array of OBS objects into a List<T> e.g. obsList.
Use the Project Service inside the Project namespace. Call the ReadProject Operation to retrieve an array of Project objects. Cast the array of Project objects into a List<T> e.g. projectList
Use a linq query to perform an inner join.
Should look something like this:
var obsProjects = from o in obsList
       join p in projectList on p. OBSObjectId equals o. ObjectId
       select new {  responsibleManager = o.Name,
projectName = p.Name,
obsObject = o,
projectObject = p
foreach (var op in obsProjects)
