DBMS_JOB Restarting repeatedly

Hi All,
Is there a wayout, that if I have a JOB running, and I want it to kill it , it gets killed permanently.
I executed a PROC through DBMS_JOB.SUBMIT, in the midway , I wanted to stop its execution,I removed the JOB through DBMS_JOB.REMOVE and I killed the session (through TOAD, Kill/Trace session), and also dropped the Proc, but the problem is , that its keeps on restarting and is showing FAILURES.
Please advise me, how to get rid off unwanted JOBS.
Regards,
Gaurav S

That doesn't make sense. If you removed the job, it would no longer be in the DBA_JOBS table, so it would not show failures. Are you certain that you removed the right job? Is it possible that something else has resubmitted the same task as a different job?

how can i fix my ipad mini? because it keeps on restarting repeatedly.

Ideally the best thing to do in this situation is a soft reset, press and hold down the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons together until the Apple logo appears.
The factory settings option you've gone for should resolve this as well, but unless you've backed up you will lose content with this option.

  • MBP freezes, shuts down, restarts, repeats after log in

Late 2007 MBP recently upgraded to Yosemite started freezing, shutting down by itself, and then restarting by itself.  I log in, and within anywhere from 10 seconds to 3 minutes after my screen fully loaded, repeats this.  120 gig hard drive is way full.  So pretty sure that is part of problem.  Has been sluggish for weeks.  Have about 18 gigs free.  Attempting to move things off but it won't stay on long enough to do this.
This morning I managed to access Disk Utilities for repair upon start up, but I was trying different keystrokes to do this. (Posed question for proper keys to do this in another post, but feel free to answer here.)  It performed disk repair and showed all the steps it took.  Two items appeared in red:
Incorrect number of file hard links
Orphaned file inode (id = 35716717)
    Then in green:
The Volume MacIntosh HD was repaired successfully.
A couple of lines farther down appeared:
Updating boot support partitions for the volume as required.
By this time the timer status showing the repair taking place was gone and I didn't do anything for about ten minutes.  Then I restarted, but the problem has continued. While doing this I was offline.

I forgot to add that right after the note that the HD was repaired successfully appeared:
File system check exit code is 0.

  • My iPhone 3GS restarts repeatedly. Cannot be restored even in DFU Mode Restore.

My iPhone 3GS crashed and restarted on its own while running the Pandora app while plugged into a USB and charging. After it would finish starting up, it would say "activation required", as well as showing "no service" where there should have been service available. It would then restart after about 30 seconds to a minute. It would do this repeatedly in an endless loop of restarts.
I tried to do the "DFU Mode Restore" by holding the power and home buttons for 10 seconds, then holding the home button only until it connected to iTunes. The phone did have the black screen, and iTunes told me that the phone was in recovery mode and needed to be restored to be usable. The restore seems to complete, but in the end it fails. It says, "the iPhone "Iphone" could not be restored. An unknown error has occured (1)." It just leaves me with a screen showing that I should connect to iTunes with a USB cable.
Also, it shows no information on the phone in iTunes (capacity, software version, and serial number all show up as "n/a").

    Hello chiropteromania,
Thanks for the question. Based on what you stated, it seems like you get an error when trying to restore an iPhone. I would recommend that you read these articles, they may be helpful in troubleshooting your issue.

  • 2.0 firmware spontaneously restarting repeatedly/loop

I just bought the 2.0 firmware. It installed fine. I really like it and cant wait until the next upgrades.
However, my one complaint is that it goes into spontaneous restart/shutdown/restart/shutdown loops. Goes for about 20 minutes before I can finally get control back.
The weird thing is that this also happens when I try and shut off my Touch.
    Any ideas/helps?

    Rohan Thompson,
Have you tried resetting network settings on the iPhone yet? To do so, just navigate to Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings.
If the issue persists beyond that, I would recommend restoring the iPhone and setting it up as a new phone. More information on that can be found here: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1414
    Hope this helps,

  • Acrobat/IE restart repeatedly when opening Autofill forms from web

I had previously posted this problem in the Acrobat forum but it was suggested the problem may lie with LiveCycle Forms.  Here is the problem:
I am having a problem with a users Acrobat and IE continuously restarting when attempting to open an autofill form (aka a form that gets filled in automatically with info from a database) from the web.  This is a corporate network so I suspect it may be a policy or firewall issue but not sure.  I have checked all my Dom policies and can not find anything that would cause this problem.  I am not sure if this will occur if the content being used to fill the form is blocked at the firewall.  Any help will be greatly appreciated.
    Tuuek

So I assume that the data to prefill your form is retrieved at the server level before the form is opened then you merge that data onto the template at rendering ...right?
If so can you write the data to a data file and try importing the data file to see if the same thing happens.

  • IPhone 6 Plus 64GB (iOS 8.1 or 8.1.1) springboard crashes repeatedly when making phone calls via Continuity on Macbook Pro Retina Mid 2014 using Yosemite 10.10.1

I USED TO be able to make phone calls using continuity on my MacBook Pro (Retina, 15-inch, Mid 2014) with Yosemite (10.10) via my iPhone 6 Plus on iOS 8.1 without any problems.  Once I updated Yosemite to 10.10.1, my iPhone's springboard would continually crash where it brings up the Apple logo and quickly restarts repeatedly until I end the call.  Just so that you know, I am able to stay on the call while this is occurring the whole time.
I need to reiterate, this all started happening as soon as I updated Yosemite to 10.10.1 while still on iOS 8.1.  I know this because I made a few phone calls (loving the feature), updated Yosemite to 10.10.1, then made a few phone calls afterwards, and this started happening.
When iOS 8.1.1 came out, I eagerly updated hoping this issue would go away, and it did not.  I'm hoping Apple notices this post.  If anyone else has this problem, please contact Apple and chime in this post as well.  Thank you Apple for incorporating continuity calling. I love this feature, but need to use it without my phone's springboard constantly crashing.

I have this issue as well. I am using an iPhone 6 plus, iPad Air 2, 5K iMac, and MacBook Pro. When I make a continuity calls from any device, the springboard crashes. This only happens with outgoing calls, incoming calls are functioning normal. I am currently working with multiple Apple Senior Advisors, and they are working directly with iOS a engineers. I have an active open case and will update this thread when a resolution is found.
Just a tip for everyone with this issue, restoring your devices and setting them up as new WILL NOT correct this issue. Save yourself the hassle. I did this with my iPhone, iPad, and MacBook and the issue still persists.

  • My iPhone4 keeps restarting and now I can't even restore it. HELP!

My 2 month old iPhone4 keeps restarting and after trying to restore it its absolutely useless becauseit wont stay on long enough to restore. My entire business is on this phone and I would really prefer to not have to send it back to Apple.

I have a similar issue with my iPhone 4.  Tell me:  Have you been able to solve your problem yet?
If yes, then please share!  I have a short term solution and a long-term one for you if not, and I am at the point of going to my long-term solution.  So I, too, am all ears.  If you haven't resolved the problem yet, then here is...
The short term solution:  Force your iPhone into Recovery Mode (also known as DFU mode) by following Apple's instructions here, in the case that you are "unable to update or restore the iPhone's iOS".  Following the instructions on that page may fix your problem right then and there.  However, if you continue to have problems (like getting it out of DFU mode, as I have had with this fast-auto-restart problem), then it may not fix the problem.  In which case, here's what to do:  Download a free program called RecBoot for Windows or Mac.  Once installed, follow the directions for its use on that page.  If the phone is in Recovery Mode (DFU mode), Recboot will tell you, and pressing one of RecBoot's two buttons will take it out of DFU mode.  If the phone is NOT in DFU Mode, RecBoot will likewise tell you -- and the other button will place it IN DFU mode.  I recall bouncing it between in and out of DFU mode (as a last resort) when I tried a complete factory restore and the phone kept restarting itself mid-restore.  RecBoot was the one thing that finally got the phone's attention, and enabled the thing to accept a restore.  I've needed RecBoot ever since -- upgrading to iOS 5, then 5.0.1, then 5.0.2...
A few things I've noticed about my issue:  I still have the auto-restart problem, but for a while it started following a rule:  It would only auto-restart repeatedly (and relentlessly) when the phone was charging and turned off (i.e. asleep -- not powered completely down).  After a few months, the problem has evolved: The phone behaves itself when it is turned on, charging or not -- but turned off, the phone manically enters the restarting-every-few-minutes loop.  Whether it's on a charging cable or not:  If it's off, it puts itself back in the loop.  Then, the other day, the problem showed signs of morphing again: restarting in the middle of listening to a podcast -- not every 3-5 minutes, but sporadically -- and the phone was turned on.  That was indeed the last straw for me.  Which leads me to...
The long-term solution: I am led to believe that the problem may involve a faulty battery, or an element on the Logic Board.  I recently had a battery replaced in my phone, and I am questioning the replacement.  However, I am taking my phone in to an Apple Store.  Last time I took my iPhone in (with a warranty issue under the AppleCare Plan I ALWAYS get), they replaced the phone on the spot.  So if you can make your way to an Apple Store, the chances are good that at least you shouldn't have to wait for days to get a replacement.

For the bugcheck information, please see:
    Bug Check 0xC000021A: STATUS_SYSTEM_PROCESS_TERMINATED
The result shows that The Winlogon process terminated unexpectedly.
The cause is explained as below:
This error occurs when a user-mode subsystem, such as WinLogon or the Client Server Run-Time Subsystem (CSRSS), has been fatally compromised and security can no longer be guaranteed. In response, the operating system switches to kernel mode. Microsoft Windows
cannot run without WinLogon or CSRSS. Therefore, this is one of the few cases where the failure of a user-mode service can shut down the system.
Mismatched system files can also cause this error. This can occur if you have restored your hard disk from a backup. Some backup programs might skip restoring system files that they determine are in use.
To resolve this issue, you may take a try with the following command:
    Dism /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth
    Reference:
    Fixing component
store corruption in Windows 8 and Windows Server 2012
Or you may take a PC refresh.

    Hi,
the fact that when you start the import, the buildspace mode automatically changes to PRIVILEGED, is normal, means only that the buildspace is reserved for request processing. But it is not normal if your engine gets restarted during the import.
Fatal :CBS throws exception during activation: 20100927192800 Fatal :caused by Exception:com.sap.tc.cbs.client.error.CommunicationException: Invalid Response Code: (-1) null. The requested URL was:"http://dc1depdv:50000/CBSWebService/CBSHttpSOAP?style=rpc" (Service call exception; nested exception is: com.sap.engine.services.webservices.jaxrpc.exceptions.InvalidResponseCodeException:
Still, the error message you have provided means that the CBS isn't running properly, could you please try the following:
    1. restart the whole j2ee engine where CBS is running.
    2. then please go to check CBS web UI -> BuildSpace, then click the Edit button by selecting the buildspace in question.
If the parameter "Input Mode" is not being set to "OPEN", please change it to OPEN and click the Save button.
    3. finally please try the import again
If the engine is still restarted at the CBS make step of the import, then I believe it is worth to check the following settings:
    0. Is your system meeting the requirements?
Check SAP note #737368 - Hardware requirements of Java Development Infrastructure (http://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/737368)
    1. doublecheck whether you can see any outofmemory error in the defaultTrace, if yes, check the SAP note
    #723909 -- Java VM settings for J2EE 6.40/7.0 (http://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/723909)
    2. If you still face the problem, then please notice the time when the engine got restarted, and check these time related entries in the following log files:
    -\usr\sap\...\j2ee\cluster\server<n>\log\applications\cms.<n>.log
    -\usr\sap\...\j2ee\cluster\server<n>\sap.com\tcdtrenterpriseapp\dtr.<n>.log
    -\usr\sap\...\j2ee\cluster\server<n>\log\services\tc.CBS.Service\cbs.<n>.log
    -\usr\sap\...\j2ee\cluster\server<n>\log\defaultTrace.<n>.trc
    -\usr\sap\...\j2ee\cluster\server<n>\log\sysyem\database.<n>.log
    I hope this helps.
    Best Regards,
    Ervin

  • Iphone 5 reboots repeatedly

    My iPhone 5 restarts repeatedly.

The first thing to try would be a reset. Hold the sleep/wake and home buttons together until you see the Apple logo and then release. If that does not work you can try to restore the device, first from a backup and if it doesn't help, then as a new device. If those do not work, then a trip to the Apple Genius bar would be in order.
