Debtor creditor trial

Hi,
we are having 2 plants , the vendors and customers are at  company level. now i am in process of developing trial at plant level. i am using bsik and bsak for this, because we are having validation of business place , so we can bifurcate the values. My concerns is of how to bifurcate balance carry forward as LFC1 gives the value at company level.
provide the either way  it can be done with.

    Hi,
    If you are putting the debit balance for BP (Debtor/Creditor), you need to put +ve for debit & -ve for credit balance. (when you checked (ticked) the option -  Display Credit Balance with Negative Sign. If you have ticked this then credit balance will be shown with -ve sign & if not then with +ve sign.
    If you upload without checking the above option then you need to upload with opposite sign.
    To access this window, choose Administration ® System Initialization ® Company Details ® Basic Initialization tab.

    Use t.code: SARP, then select report tree as FIAR then click on display icon, here you will get no of reports for customers.

  • R12 -AP-Creditors Ledger

    Hi there,
    I am working in Release 12 Instance.
    In Accounts Payables module :
    India-Creditors Ledger Report is there -Specific to Localized vendors
    But i want Creditors Ledger report Which is the report for all the vendors (local and nonlocal vendors ).
    Can any one suggest me whether this report name is changed in R12 or this report is scoped out in this instance.

    not sure, in R12, for the same report. check the documentation, its clearly state:
    The AP Trial Balance (Detail) report also provides the same information as the India Creditors Ledger. The India Creditors Ledger report was provided in Financials for India, when there was no AP Trial Balance report option in AP. Now, since the base application (AP) itself has the details, the users are advised to use this report.
    This AP report provides details of Invoice-wise outstanding amounts for each supplier. The functionality of Financials for India is to primarily handle India specific features that are not available in the base application. Since the base application (AP module) very much has the detailed creditors trial balance, the users are encouraged to use the same in the place of India Creditors Ledger report.

  • Difference in Balance Report and FS10N table GLPCT

    Dear Experts,
    We are facing one issue in Report which had prepared through report painter. We were using GLPCT table to prepare this report. The balance is coming correctly upto operating margin. After operating margin balance is not coming correct. This is mostly Balance Sheet items like Debtors, Creditors, Inventory.
    For example GL 134002 (Inventory) is showing amount in Rs. 258178 in this report (EVA) April period and in FS10N the same GL balance is appearing is Rs. 1632599.60.
    We did the analysis is that it may be not picking correct opening balance. But unable to find out the correct reason.
    What could be the reason for this difference in this report. Please advice.

    Hi Friends,
    Thanks for your support, Actual this issue happend due to PCA BCF has not happend but when i execute KE5T then it is not showing any difference FI & PCA. I have mentioned company code XYZ, Fiscal year 2011, from period 1 to 12 and account number in KE5T. But it is not showing difference.
    Can you please suggest how can I run this KE5T in the system.

    Please provide me a solution for this issue.
    Description : Ageing as on previous date w.r.t  debtors , creditors for example for a vendor ageing on 30.4.11 is Rs. 600000 credit what is the status as on date
    Say for example the Total amount is 60,000 here we used some 10,000.
    Is there any standard report to show the remaining balance i.e 50,000 as on the date
    please help me... its urgent

    Please execute FBL1/5N for the balance.
    If you want to check the balance on previous date, then just enter that date for the field Open items as on and execute.
    same as today's balance also you have to change the date and execute.
    If you are asking about ageing report, normally standard reports don't suffice our requirement. So, you have to develpe a Z report with your own logic.

  • Initial Bank Reconciliation Implementation - Outstanding checks

    During the very first bank reconciliation the begining balance that the system enters as the beginning balance is $0. But of course in reality we have checks that have been written, but the suppliers have not cashed them prior to "go live" (so the AP Invoices are closed in the legacy system and so there is not an invoice in SAP B1).
    How should these outstanding checks be entered / accounted for so that when the first bank reconciation is completed and the checks clear so that the balance will reconcile to the bank statement?

    If you put your cheque number in the journal entry as Reference 1 it will appear in your bank reconciliation, this can be done at line or at header level, depending on how many cheques you post in each journal.
    It is usual practice when setting up a new system to create journal entries when setting up the opening balances - stock, debtors & creditors will all offset into an "Opening Balances" suspense account. When you post an entry to create the opening balance sheet, this account should become 0, as the balance sheet will always balance. These open items from your bank reconciliation are simply part of the opening balances.

  • Migration of balances

    The scenario:
    Both SAP and legacy systems in force in 2008, and the year end is 31.12.2008.
    In 2009, SAP continued to be in use while the legacy system was dropped.
    As for the balances at 31.12.2008, the following is desired:
    Debtors, Creditors and Bank balances:      Maintain balances reflected in SAP system
    Certain GL accounts                                     -
    do----
    Other GL accounts                                      Replace SAP balances with balances per legacy system
    Inventory accounts                                      -
    do----
    Fixed assets                                                -
    do----
      -do-                                                           Replace asset master with template with fresh asset master data
    Kindly guide me on the procedures to be followed and the relevant T-codes to achieve the above.

    Are you asking for carry forward of balances in SAP.
    There are separate closing procedures for Assets, Customers & Vendors and General Ledger.
    Assets:
    AJAB - Close Fiscal Year
    AJRW - New Fiscal Year
    Vendor & Customer:
    Carry Forward - F.07
    General Ledger:
    FAGLGVTR - Balance Carryforward

      We are deriving segmental reporting through profit centers. I have created the profit and loss accounts as cost elements. Should I have to create the balance sheet items also as cost elements. In that case what should be the category for balance sheet items such as investment, asset, creditors, debtors and all other balance sheet items.

    Hi Vasantha
    The idea of profit center accounting is to have balance sheets, profability within the company for products, regions etc. You can derive balance sheet for these other than the legal balance sheet.
    Now coming to your point, as others rightly said when you create cost elements for p&l gl accounts, the costs flows to the profit centers from the cost centers.
    Then the GL accounts, you dont need to create cost elements. The profit centers are derived from the offsetting expense gl account. The profit center are derived from various assignments.
    Profit centers in the Material master - Vendors & Customers get the profit center from the profit center assigned in the MM Master of the material when you buy or sell.
    Profit center for asset - Cost center is assigned in the asset master from which it derived the profit center. When you buy asset, depreciation etc., flows to profit center accounting.
    Most of the transactions profit centers are derived from the profit center assigned in the cost center for all balance sheet accounts.
    Now coming to the New GL or Old GL, profit center are transferred to the balance sheets accounts esperically for Debtors & Creditors at the period end in Old GL by running TCode 2KEK, now with the New GL Document Splitting, the profit center is assigned immediately in the transaction itself.
    I hope it is clear how profit center accounting works.

  • How do we add more fields to the existing profit center reports

    Hello everybody,
    I need help in profit center reporting. The issue is my client is able to draw profit center reports, however they want to extend this i.e, they wish to get the reports of profitability for each product line, Debtors, Creditors, other current assets, other current liabilities, stock for each profit center. Do I follow, segment reporting as given in help.sap.com (defining report painter etc), or is there any other way to go about. And the fact is that I've not worked on report painter, in a way I can say that i've not worked much in controlling. 
    THIS IS VERY URGENT. INSIGHTS INTO THIS WOULD BE HIGHLY APPRECITED.

    I am glad to know that you have worked in programming side involving much in Material Management, Inventory Management, Work Order related stuff etc.
    Considering the fact that you have come across some of the stuff from the functional side as well during your programming in asp.net technology, it would be definately goood for you to start your career in sap side.
    Off course you are a programmar so learning SAP ABAP would be good and nice for you.
    Now lets see how can you start your career in SAP:
    First: Start learning SAP-ABAP from a small institute of your choice while working.
    Second:  Get into a group of people vested with similar interest and discuss and learn.
    Third: Try to get into a small company or firm as a SAP-ABAP Developer.
    Fourth: Once you are established as a developer try to get into the big organisation.
    Companies generally take fresher these days just out of college for this or hier an experienced people who has good amound of sap abap experience instead of trainer hier for domain experienced folks.
    Chance of Lateral hier in this case is quite less specifically for sap-abap.
    In your case as you are entering into this as a domain experienced candidate so I think the option highlighted above will best suits you.
    Talking about certification, it is not a guaruntee that once you are certified you will be able to secure a job as sap abaper so certitification is always a bonus but not a sure short way or passport for you to get into it.

    We are into single Business Area & many company codes.
    My users dont want to enter Business Area at time of Document entry. They want that field to get populated automatically.
    So how to do that in SAP. Does maintaining of Param Id will solve the purpose?

    Hi,
    To a controling object you can assign a BA in that cases it takes that BA. The same you can do in the Material master data, Asset accounting.
    For a balance sheet account  you can create a substitution OBBH.
    In OKB9 for controlling you have some options to
    Not in all cases you can assign a BA. Like you have 1 invoice's and the lines are for different BA.
    For Debtors, creditors and Assest you have programs to run on the end of the month. This create an adjustment posting on G/L account

  • Forex revaluation posting of Drs Crs

    I am running Tcode FAGL_FC_VAL for new GL foreign revaluation for debtors & creditors. I am running TCode on 14th April. Valuation key date is set as 31st March.
    I have two doubts in it:
    1. when i fill in details and i execute it, it shows me the entry. amount is also correct. But when i do batch processing, entry is not posted in the GL account.
    2. it is also given that entry will be automatically reversed on 31st March 2009. But i think for automatic reversal, some Tcode or program needs to be run. So let me know about it.
    Note: I am asking for automatic reversal on 31st March 2009 as my fiscal year end is 30th September.

    1. Check SM37 with your user id to see if the batch job needs to be released. If this is the case it could be resolved by additional authorization by BASIS.
    2. Your valuation key date should be september 30 ,since this is the date of your financial reporting. In the transaction screen "postings" tab flag "reverse postings". You can also specify the reversal posting date.

    The Control account can be used for Manuall Entries this is system Design.. if u have to reduce the acc. balance of BP then use the respective code of that BP and transfer to respective acc. in JE if u wana to use BP the U have to use CTRl + TAB to select the list ob Bp's.
