Hi,
don't know whether I understood your question but here it goes.
Click on the return value for Employee Group under which you want to add a decision for ESG.
In the pop-up screen, select 'Field for decision operation'.
Here you'll be able to choose employee subgroup as an extra field for your decision tree.

    No there is no standard Feature to default PSG and PSL. TARIFF is for PSA and PST.
    Wait for some body may have some information.

    Can we restrict/defaulted pay scale grouping accordingly to employee sub group? in TARIF feature we can default pay scale type and area in basic pay, but how we can defaulted the payscale group, please let me know the steps.

    Through TARIF we can default the pay scale type and Pay scale area, now I am looking restriction according to employee sub group, pay scale area also get defaulted. For example :
    Employee Sub group :
    • A1
    • E1
    • E2
    • A2
    • S2
    • Z1
    Payscale group:
    • A1 = PSA1
    • E1 = PSE1
    • E2 = PSE2
    • A2= PSA2
    • S2=PSS2
    • Z1=PAZ1
    Now when you enter Basic pay here its showing all pay scale groups. Our requirement if we tag the A1 as a Employee subgroup to employee then in IT 0008 only PSA1 pay scale shoud be reflect.

         the default value is determined direct from the feature.                                                                               
    The return value must have the form xx/yy, when xx is the pay scale                                                    
         type, and yy the pay scale area.                                                                               
    If the feature returns SPACE as a value, then the value pay scale type                                                 
         or pay scale area is determined by table T001P. If the value does not                                                  
         equal SPACE, then this value will be taken as the pay scale type or pay                                                
         scale area.                                                                               
    You can either enter return both values or only one of the two values.                                                 
         The missing value is determined from table T001P.

  • Pay scale area not getting defaulted in IT 0008

    Dear Consultants,
    We have recently upgraded to ECC 6.0.
    We have defaulted Payscale type and area using Tarif feature on basis of Employee group and their country grouping.
    My observation is when we reactivate a Pernr, in Itype 0008, it displays the payscale type as defaulted in Tariff but the payscale area is different than the one defaulted...so when I try changing the payscale area to the one defaulted in Tarif, it gives an error message: The Default pay scale cannot be changed....
    If anyone of you could provide some insights on the above error message.

  • How to handle pay scale tables in infotype 0008?

    Hi friends,
    I have 2 questions:
    1) What's the difference between "Pay Scale Groups And Levels" (view v_t510)  and "Pay Grades And Levels" (view v_t710). And In which case apply each one?.
    2) I have a pay scale table with differents levels, for each level i have a minimun and maximun salary. I think i can handle this by using "pay grades and levels", but in the infotype 8 in the pay scale data i indicate the type, the area, and when i going to select the group the search help displays the values of the "pay scale groups and levels" and i would like to know how to display the "pay grades and levels" instead of the displayed currently?.

    1. Pay scales - >  These are used when you have logical step increases in employee's salary.  Fixed increases that can be defined in configuration.  These are good, becuase they are easily maintained through configuration and standard programs update the employee master data for you.
        Pay grades - > These are used when you do not have fixed compensation for employees and need a salary range to go by, so you use these are a range.
    2. As for manipulating whether an employee used a scale or a grade list on info type 8  is dictated by feature TARIF located in transaction PE03.

    Some of the pay scale salary ranges (T510N) which we use are no longer valid and I want to delimit the end dates. Has anyone done this before ?

    Thanks for your replies.
    What I did was to copy the existing range, change enddate to 31.12.2009, and delete the old range. In the tests I have done, this seems to work. We don't use these ranges anymore but busiiness want to retain. Should not impact existing PERNR's.

    For your first question:
    Normally currency settings are done by FI consultant & also currency always in anywhere has to be defaulted. Just cross check i think some where you did the mistake mainly in payroll we will manually maintain currency in only one table "V_T510F_B" (This is table where we will maintain manually)
    For your second question:
    If your working on Implementation project it's not like where you will prepare questions and get answers from client
    1. First you need to get AS IS document from the client & need to understand their business process.
    2. According to that you will have to prepare one draft BBP then has to be shown to client.
    Major challenges are
    1. Finding PA & PSA.
    2. Finding grouping Esg grouping & PSA grouping.

  • Can't adjust the default time scale when creating a new appointment in Outlook 2010

    Good Afternoon, I have found a question on these community boards that propose an issue that I am currently experiencing. The answer; however, was not the solution for me. I used the same name as the original post and will add the original text as it is
    exactly what I am experiencing.
    "When creating a new appointment in the month view Outlook 2010, the default time scale or duration is 2 days.  I tried resetting the view, adjusting the time scale, and creating a new profile.  It only seems to happen when creating the appointment
    in the Month view.  ???  Day and week view work fine and appointment can be created w the standard 30 minute time scale.  But the time scale in the month view although says 30 mins, it creates appointments in 2 day durations."
    This is exactly what happens to the user I am assisting. When in "month view" double clicking the day will bring up a new appointment with the times within the same day. If you click the "new appointment" button in the ribbon it
    sets the end time to the following day. This only happens in the month view every other view works as it normally should. I have tried it several times being sure multiple days are not selected. It still gives me an end time for the following day. I have reset
    the view, changed the time scale but nothing seems to bring it back to the default same day appointment. Any ideas?

    It is a default in Outlook 2010 in month view.  The "time scale" selection is greyed out.  Very frustrating.  Everytime I select "New Appointment," a duration of 1 day is automatically selected; midnight to midnight.  I end up doing
    most appointments twice because I forget to change to end date back to the day of the appointment.  "New meeting Request" works fine.  So does "New All Day Event" when you deselect "All Day Event."  I can't see how this default behavior
    provides optimal results under any circumstances.  Very frustrating.

  • Pay Scale inrease - Custom Program

    HI  Guyz,
       A custom program is developed for the pay scale increase  and it should be  run on a regular basis as a background job to update the pay increase of the employees who have completed either 60 days or 6 months or 9 months from the hire or rehire date. The program   should perform the processing only for the hourly employees of the Personnel Area. The processing would consist of checking the current date with the employee hire or rehire date and determining the increase in amount based on the number of days the employee has been working. After the necessary processing is done the program will update new data records for the basic pay infotype for the associates who need to have an increase in the pay.
    Can someone help me with the technical steps needed for this development.
    Note:Pay Scale Reclassification program cannot be used as we are not implementing compensation management

    and after the call using

    unlock
    <b>or</b>
    HR_EMPLOYEE_ENQUEUE  -
    Lock
    HR_EMPLOYEE_DEQUEUE --- unlock
    otherwise bapi will throw a message personnel number not yet locked.

    An Employee Pay scale structure consist of pay scale type, pay scale area, pay scale group & pay scale level.
    Pay scale type mean what kind of your industry domain is for example is it a software industry, manufacturing or retail industry
    pay scale area is geografical location
    both pay scale type & area is defaulted by feature tariff.
    pay scale group is basically customised by taking job evaluation & indirection evalution in consideration.
    for example pay scale group can be manager ( generic job) in this again subdivision will be there which are called pay scale level. for example group manager and level 1 will get a salary package of 1...... amount.
    by maintaing different level & group we can maintain pay scale of different employees in the organisation.

                   I would like to like to know my understanding is correct.
    1) ECM supports only Pay Grade (T710) and not Pay scale (T510). If so, company using pay scale will not be able to implement ECM? If not please provide the solution (how ECM can be implemented if company use Pay scale t510).
    2) Can Annual Salary be pro-rated for part-timers, using capacity utilization level (CUL) in IT0008? I configured WT ASAL with reduction '2' in wage type characteristics under section 'Indirect valuation', but when i enter 50% in CUL, it is still reflecting the ASAL for 100%. So SAP does not support CUL for ASAL. if not please let me know what is missing in the configuration.
    What is the best way to handle part-timer?
    3) Show part time salary in compensation planning [ By implementing BADI for Calculation Base] and then convert back to full time salary?
    IT0008 Maintained with the following info.
    e.g. employee work for 20 hrs. a week. (40 hrs. per week for full time)
    CUL is 50%
    Monthly salary is 2000$
    Employee's salary is 1000$ (Actual)
    To sShow 1000 $ in planning worksheet for managers and covert to full time during Activation?
    What is the SAP best practice and recommendation and why?

    just a doubt
    when we create the compensation program records 0758 we specify the 1 and 2 program groupings along with the comp area
    so even when we default them to the required paygrade groups
    does the RHECM_CREATE_COMP_PRO  look at the 758 record of the employee and create the records thus excluding any one with less grade group and those messages?

  • Usage of both salary scale structure and pay scale structure

    Background
    In most of Western Europe, normally the salary ranges are set by the union agreements.  At the same time, if Job Pricing using data from salary survey companies are used, the salary range (depending on what is requested from the survey companies) might not be the same with the union salary ranges.
    Questions:
    1.  Is it possible to have 2 salary ranges stored in the system:
         a.  Salary range from the union for day to day and legal purposes
         b.  Salary range from the survey data for comparison purposes
    I cannot find the solution in standard SAP because you have the choice of either checking the salary scale structure or the pay scale structure. 
    If I use salary scale structure, I can record minimum and maximum but not reference salary.  That would affect my 'Salary Data' iView in MSS.  However, if I use pay scale structure, I can record minimum, maximum and reference pay and the display in 'Salary Data' iView and the compa-ratio calculation would be accurate.
    And in ECM, it is pay scale structure that is used all the time.  Is there any way to have both scales recorded at the same time?
    Any help or pointers would be grateful (and points rewarded, of course).

    Hi,
    Talk to the client about their future plans.
    Think about requirements that are going to arise in the Future:
    Depending on the Area /s- create PS Area/s
    Depending on the companies/ - Create new PS Types
    Also Create PS Groups as per the employee Grades.
    If you have got time then it is better to create a proper structure Ese you can go for ONE PS Area, PSA Type & PS Group.

    We use Pay Scale Group and PS Level in our company (values are defaulted in IT0008); Sometimes we need to add new pay scale groups and levels, that is done in customizing client and transported to productive system using transport requests.
    Is there any other way to give permission to users to create new pay scale groups and levels directly in produqctive system?

    In general practice it is not recommended to directly create PS grp and level in production as it needs a lot of testing.It may create problem in production.
    Try to follow the transport process.
