Default Value in BPS Layout

I have created BPS layout. In planning cube, there is one dimension for which i have to default the value. X= 100.
In Planning layout, I do not want to display or input by user. What is the easy way to achieve?

Hi Uryukin Andrey,
Where do we need to use this fox formula? Could you please explain steps to use this FF?
Thanks,
Harry

    How to compare the two column values in BPS layout.
    My layout format
    PO NO
    GL
    Actual
    Amount
    1001
    701
    1200
    User Entry
    Actual Value is 1200, User will enter the Amount but it should be equal to 1200 or less then that.
    If user entered more than 1200 in Amount column, I should get error message.
    Thanks in advance.

  • BPS - How to filter a BPS layout based on keyfigure value.

    Hi Gurus,
    I am in a requirement to display a BPS layout based on a keyfigure value. Basically filter based on a keyfigure value. I don't want to display any records which contains a value of '0' in a particular keyfigure. Is this possible in BPS.
    Thanks,
    Mohan

    thanks guys for your response.
    The macro is not going to help me because the number of records from the database fetch is going to be more than 15000 and the valid records are only around 100. And since BPS cannot display more than 9999 records this would be a problem. This is my assumption. Let me try this out and see how BPS responses.
    I tried using the exit function to delete the records from buffer with the condition if the keyfigure is 0 but the other keyfigures values are affect due to this. Meaning BPS keeps track of the changed records and changes the other keyfigure value to 0.
    e.g. I have 2 keyfigure, A and B. A is the keyfigure where I check the value for 0 and B is the keyfigure with a non-zero value say $10. And in the exit before processing I have 10 records out of which 2 records are having value 0 for the A keyfigure and 8 records are having value as 1 for the A KeyFigure. And B keyfigure is having $10 for all the records. Based on the condition I delete off the 2 records from memory. SEM keeps track of this change and when you press on the save button in planning layout, the value for the B keyfigure are changed from $10 to $ -10 and saved to the database, I don't want this change in value to B keyfigure happening. So any other work arounds....
    Thanks,

  • Comp coloum in BPS Layout

    Hi all,
    IN BPS layouts, system selecting the comp check boxes by default in some of layouts. Becouse of this user is not able to input value in layout.
    Points will be awarded.
    Thanks,
    Harry

    Hi,
      Reason for this , for eg if you have restricted the characteristic comp.code in the layout as with variable and it is having multiple values like 1 , 2 , 3 and 4. In the data column you are  restricting the comp.code with some other variable having different value 5 , 6 & 8  ie) not matching with layout values. then the system will  automatically selected the comp.column in datacolumn..
    in a simple way :
      value which you have selected for the characteristic in the layout and value which you have selected in datacolumn is different..

    Siva.

  • SUN ONE Ldap - Default value is not getting displayed

    Hello,
    I have created an attribute in slapd.user_at.conf and it is associated in slapd.user_oc.conf.
    The default value for the attribute has been given in the SUN ONE Ldap. But it is not getting displayed in our application.
    Can any one help me in this for this issue.
    Regards,
    K. Senthil Kumar

    I assume that you are referring to a brand new field on the second step that was not on the form of the first step. If this is the case, then you should put the field in a hidden block of the first steps form. Default values and Auto-population from shells/single record BPs only occur of the create step, even if they are not used on that step. As long as you put them on the create step (even in a hidden block) they should initialize.

  • CRM fields not populating in BPS layout for opportunity Planning 0crm_order

    Hello Support,
    We are using SAP CRM 5.0 SP09 with BW 7.0 SP 09.
    When creating an opportunity in CRM, the product data ( quantity ,
    values) are not appearing in Planning tab( SEM-BPS Layout) .
    Kindly let us know what needs to be done to resolve this issue.
    Thanks and regards,
    Rajiv Jain

    In your CRM system, check your mapping from CRM to BW are correct.
    You can do this in transaction SPRO. Menu path 'SAP Implementation Guide --> Integration with other mySAP components --> SEM --> Change mapping between CRM fields and InfoObjects'. Select planning application 'OPP' and click on 'Mapping table - system entries' on the left.
    In here you should see the mapping from the InfoObject to the CRM field (eg. Infoobject 0CRM_EXPREV uses structure CRM_BW_OPPT_H and field name EXP_REVENUE).
    In order for the value to be passed to planning you must tick the 'Empty' checkbox on.

  • What is the best way to implement default values stored in a DB table?

    [JHeadstart 10.1.3 build 78]
    [JDeveloper 10.1.3 SU4]
    We are struggling on how to best implement default values that are stored in a DB table. What we have is a database table with (CODE_TYPE, TABLE_NAME, COLUMN_NAME, DEFAULT_VALUE) as columns. This way the application administrator can administer default values himself/herself. Now we need to find the best way to set these table supplied default values in new rows. Globally we are aware of two ways:
    - override create() method on VO
    - probably create a View Object on top of the database table with default values (we are capable of transposing the table and return exactly one row with a column for each default value) and use JHeadstarts item property 'Default Value'.
    We prefer the latter, since this is more declarative, however we struggle with the EL expression needed to indicate the default value.
    If we have a VO named "DefaultValues" with a SELECT on a view on top of our database table (transposed) returning exactly one row, let us say:
    SELECT orglanguage, orgtype, orgstatus [...]
    FROM v_default_values
    --> returning exactly one row
    and we want an EL expression on an item that needs the value from orglanguage. What will the EL expression be? Something like:
    #{data.DefaultValuesPageDef.currentrow.orglanguage.inputValue}? We tried several things but they do not work. A static default value works, but every EL expression so far does not. We know that using "data" can be dangerous, but thought JHeadstart takes care of preparing the other Page Definitions, so it might be possible when you use JHeadstart.
    Or is overriding the create() method the preferred way? Or do we have to look at a Managed Bean for our default values that we refer to from EL (let us say MyAppDefaultValuesBean) and in that case: how do you associate a Managed Bean with a VO?
    Any help would be appreciated. Apart from these default values, things are going rather well in this first J2EE/JHS project for us!
    Toine

    Steven,
    Thanks for the reply. Unfortunately whatever we try, we cannot get it to work. We started looking at the second option (since we do need default values also in table lay-out new rows). We created a DefaultValues ViewObject, added it to the Application Module, added an EL expressiona to the Default Display Value property (replacing your ending ")" with a "}" offcourse ;-)), ran the JAG so that a page definition was generated for DefaultValues and we managed to get it prepared when loading for example the Organisation's jspx page. However no default value appears in a new row (not in Form, not in Table layout).
    I then created a quick application on top of the HR schema, added a DefaultValues ViewObject using one calculated attribute (set Salary fixed to 1000), added the EL expression to the Salary Default Display Value property in the Employees Group, made sure the DefaultValuesPageDef is prepared by adding it to the parameter section and I see it getting prepared. I also see a managed Bean is created in the Employees-bean.xml.
    In the Embedded OC4J log we see:
    16:01:01 DEBUG (JhsPageLifecycle) -executing onCreate
    16:01:01 DEBUG (JhsPageLifecycle) -CreateEmployeesDefaultValues bean found, applying default values to new row
    2006-08-02 16:01:01.825 WARNING [ADFc] Warning: No Method onCreateEmployees and no actionBinding CreateEmployees found.
    Is it this warning we should be worried about? Since no default value is created.

    We do not understand what is wrong and why the default values do not get created in the new rows (and it is taking us far too much time). Any chance the EL expression is still wrong? It is a shame that any syntax errors in EL expressions are not visible in some logfile. It looks like when EL expressions are wrong, they are ignored instead of raising an error...

  • How to populate default values for SelectManyCheckBox?

    I have this <af:selectManyCheckbox> , which I want to set default value, or later other taskflow will change it's value:
    <af:selectManyCheckbox id="smc4"
    layout="vertical"
    valueChangeListener="#{backingBeanScope.productGroupSelectionBackingBean.lendingSelectionDeselectionListener}"
    autoSubmit="true"
    valuePassThru="true"
    value="#{pageFlowScope.productGroupSelectionHelper.newLendingProduct}">
    <f:selectItems id="si4" value="#{bindings.id.items}"/>
    </af:selectManyCheckbox>
    the selectItems is binding to a list of VO, in which only IDs and label names are saved,both are of type String.
    the newLendingProduct is of type List<SelectItem>.
    During the debugging I found that instead of returning List<SelectItem>, the af:selectManyCheckbox is returning Arrays$ArrayList<object> to me. What is Arrays$ArrayList<object>? After looking into it's value, I found it has an attribute "a", which is an array of String, storing the IDs that are selected.
    I also tried list of string and array of string for newLendingProduct, both can get the return value from page, but cannot set the screen.
    I think I shouldn't use List<SelectItem> to store value of af:selectManyCheckbox, but what should I use?

    U can bind ur value property of af:selectManyCheckbox to ArrayList<String> object
    Step 1.Add property in ur backing bean ArrayList<String> selectedValue = new ArrayList<String>();
    Step 2.Create get and set method for selectedValue
    Step 3. bind this selectedValue to value property ( value="#{backingBeanScope.beanName.selectedValue}" )

    Hi Rajendra ,
    Screen control for the vendor is controlled by the Account group you assign to them. So go to IMG> Financial accounting > Account rec. and payables> Master data > Define account group with screen layout.  Here you can find and change the the fields status for  General , company code and purchasing data.
    Hope it helps.

    Hi,
    I am using jdeveloper 11.1.1.3.0. I need to set a default value for a radio button populated with a List of value(Yes/No). Here's the selectonechoice code.

    <f:selectItems value="#{bindings.Code.items}" id="si1"/>
    </af:selectOneRadio>
    I want to have the selectonechoice set to No by default. In the previous versions, I set the default value in the base attribute VO. But it is not working in the new version.
    Thanks

    Hi,
    this should work in JDeveloper 11.1.1.3 the same as in 11.1.1.2. If it doesn't then it is better to file a bug than to work around it

  • Loading data from excel to BPS layout

    Hi,
    I have BPS layouts in place and also excel sheets which are exact replica of those layouts.
    I know 2 options to load excel data into the BPS. These are:
    1) Copy and paste the data from excel to BPS layout.
    2) Create a flat file in line format from excel and then use method explained in document "How to Load a Flat File into BW-BPS Using SAPGUI.pdf".
    Is there any other way I can upload the same?
    Any help in this regard will be highly appreciated.
    thanks in advance.
    regards,
    Pankaj

    Thanks to Vlad, Laurent & Srini for prompt replies.
    But here the user needs to load data directly to the transactional cube.
    So it is a case of "instead of keying in values" on to the BPS planning layout, user wants to upload the data from excel into the BPS layout.
    Planning is done on SAP GUI and not web browser.
    I am able to do the same using the document "How to Load a Flat File into BW-BPS Using SAPGUI".
    But in this case the data needs to be converted into a simple csv file in line item format before it can be uploaded.
    Is there any way, where we can upload from excel file without having it to change to csv format as required in "How to Load a Flat File into BW-BPS Using SAPGUI"?
    thanks in advance.

  • Set default Value for a key figure

    Hi Experts,
    I need to enter a set o value for some char in a layout but for this set is not relevance a keyfigure. I know that there needs to be a keyfigure in the layout for the data to be saved to the transactional cube.
    So is there a way to write a default value to the keyfigure without the user having to enter the keyfigure in the layout?
    Any help will be rewarded.
    Many thanks,

    I gave an example of = 0.
    In youe case, if the default value is other than zero,
    then:
    = value.

  • Data columns in BPS layout

    Hi,
      My current BPS layout has three columns, they are cost,price and margin respectively. The user now ask to add another column call "alert" after the margin column.
    The logic is that if the margin is less than 10%, then the alert column should marked with "X", otherwise leave it blank.
      In order to add a column after margin column, the added column have to be key figure which will not allowed characteristics,while all the other key figure type such as amount, quantity, date ect will not take
    "X".
      Any idea or suggestion.

    JW,
    If Margin is the last column on your layout, what you do is in the last layout definition screen, add the locl excel formula to the column after where the margin would appear.  Then you just use simple excel formula to do it.
    For things to appear only if there is data in the row, I typically use an IF in the excel formula and check for values in cost, price, margin.  Actually it would be 2 nested IFs.  One to check for value and the other to determine the 10% and mark it with a X...  In purely excel formula, there is no distinction between key figures and characteristics since it is only Excel.
    Hope this helps.
