Dear Experts,
We receive the material through MIGO for Depot through z movement y56.after receiving the material,user allocate it to Sales order with 412E movement type he again canceled the with 411E movement type.but user mistakenly create two MIGO s.now he want to cancel one materail document created by MIGO with y56 z movement type.but its giving error message deficit unrestricted stock.but for that material batch is existed MMBE,please give me suggestion.

Let me know when this Doc was made and when ie. aft how many day you are trying to cancel it...
If it is of last month and you are trying to cancel it in this month, then its not possible untill you use the previous posting allowed indicator in MMRV transaction...

As stated already, the above error is caused by the stock not being in Unrestricted in the Previous Period.
For Example:
1. Receive Stock into Unrestricted
2. Move stock into QI
3. Period Ends - Stock Stored in QI, not Unrestricted
4. Stock removed from QI (Back to Unrestricted)
5. Attempt to reverse initial Receipt Dated in Previous Period from Unrestricted
The attempt to reverse the receipt would have a deficit of Unrestricted prev. error. When the period ends, it captures the current state of each material (i.e. what quantities are stored in Unrestricted, QI, Blocked, etc.). When you attempt to post a transaction to the previous period, it will verify your stock quantities against what it captured at end of that period.
In order to correct above scenario.
1. In Current Period, move Stock back to QI
2. In Previous Period, move Stock to Unrestricted
3. Reverse Receipt in Previous Period
We have this happen often at period end, and this is the method we use to correct it.

MIGO 551 Error Deficit of BA Unrestr. prev ..

Hi MM expert I really need your help we are going to live the new company next week and i only found out these things to be done..
Im new in MM..
here is the scenario..
1. on new company- our client do their testing there uploading initial stocks, GI for delivery etc.
2. so before go live we need to clear the stock to 0.
3. on solution is thru MIGO using 551 movement type scraping all stocks.. when i manually tested it its OK.
problem:
1. on some materials it encounters error Deficit of BA Unrestr. prev somthing..
- can someone explain the reason or where i could check why it occurs
2. im not familiar so much in GLs etc.. I know that in OBYC if 551 movement type is use
posting is on transaction key GBB in VNG. if i wont enter GL in MIGO just business area and cost center as required
will the posting be in GL assign in VNG? is that correct when it comes to scrapping?
another thing I check prev posting of material.. it was posted using 561 movement type.. the GL use is the one in GBB BSA.
so should teh GL to use is the one in BSA or in VNG?

if you use mvt 551 to scrap the stock.
how to deal with the Material doc. with value and relatvie FI doc?
since you can use 551, why not use MI10?
the stock deficit may caused by wrong sloc and wrong posting period.
please check the actual stock location (maybe in blocked location or QI location)
please also check when the stock is there. you can not clear the stock of next month in previous month.

1) As you said you did quality inspection for same material while doing GR,at that time what was stock type? i think it was quality stock not unristicted.
2) as you said availabe stock in unrestricted ,have you trasnfer stock from quality to unrestricted?
3) is it possible for to change stock type in material docuemnt for 122 while doing retuern? check which stock type is there while returning material

COGI error as Deficit of BA Unrestr. prev.

In COGI, I tried to clear wrong goods movements. But Inspite of stock available in storage location, system throws Deficit of Unrestricted stock and 0 goods movement successfully got executed. This is a batch stock. I verfied stock overview also, absolutely no problem. Batch stock available in unrestricted stock under specified storage location.
Is there any logic for stock posting as below:
1.My CO11N entry (261 mvmt) posting date was 26.11.2008. This means COGI got updated for the error goods movement with posting date 26.11.2008.
2. Stock transfer of error materials from other location to that specified location posted later to 26.11.2008 which means Posting date for 311 mvmt in MB1B was 30.11.2008.
Will it create probelm as Deficit Unrestricted stock as stock posting date is later than error posting date.

It was posted thru CO11N only. It is not allowing to post in november. But it allows me to post on december.
November and December periods are open only.

Deficit in quantity even there are quantity

even there is stock for it and there are no sales order for it i even checked the stock requirment list and every thing is fine , I even looked at the table MCHB and found the entry of the stock and the batch

Check in MMBE whether it is returns material stock.If it is return material it still show as unrestricted
use but it will be returns item.

Schedule Line data problem

Dear Friends,
We need to create a back dated order, so after creating the sales order I have changed the document date in the header data, also changed the pricing date and required delivery date as past date. Stock is available on that date (checked in MB5B with back date).
But the schedule line data system is showing that confirmed quantity as today's date. But we want to despatch the quantity on back date. In this case system does not allow to deliver in the back date.
Can anybody suggest how to do back dated delvery.

Deficit of BA Unrestr. prev. 8.638 TO : 95109410111 TPST ST00 1
It is a batch material, availability check-KP(no check), material is available (checked in MB5B with back date), (here in the error 95109410111 is mateirl code, TPST is plant and ST00 is storage location and 1 is batch number)
Please give me solution how to overcome this error.

Stock availability

Dear Brothers,
I need some suggestion from you.
Against a material GRN done with posting date 23.01.2008 to Quality Inspection.
From Quality - entire quantity transferred to un restricted today i.e 02.02.2008.
User issuing material today with date 23.01.2008 and displaying message " Deficit of SL Unrestr. prev. 337.821 TO". I assume that this due to quality inspection stock transferred today he cannot able to issue on 23.01.2008 and getting this message. Please clarify me, is my view is correct or any other option.
I didnt answer the user and waiting for your valuable suggestions.

with reference todays date u can transfer the stock because today the stock came from quality inspection to unrestricted usage ref date02.02.2008

Problem in Goods Issue against process order

Dear All,
I m facing the problem in Goods issance, I have one raw material batch whose last GR date is 01.09.2010. when i try to post Goods issue, posting date 29.09.2010. system generate the following error message:
Deficit of BA Unrestr. prev. 25.00 KG: Material Number Plant storage location batch
then i try to post the same in 01.10.2010. it allow me to post Goods Issuance

Check the stock of the material/plant/batch/storage loc in T code MB5B for the previous period for 09.2010.as there is no stock in the system for that batch and period system doesnt allow you to do GI.
Also check stock in MMBE or MB5B in current period as stock is present in current period, system allows you to do GI.

Dear,
In the privious period the batch qty is less by 2.63 L.
Hence first see that saficient stock is maintained in the storage location and batch combination from which you are issuing the qty, then do the transaction.

Batch Management at Site level

Hi All,
We are planning to implement Batch Management for certain product ranges in our Organization. We prefer to activate Batches at site level. I mean at certain sites Batch need to exist and at others they need not.
I have checked the configurations but they all pertain to the configuration of Batch setting at Plant, Material and Client level in terms of Batch ID being unique or not.
Is there any configuration possible so at to facilitate this requirement ?

I checked MMRV and the current status is as shown below.
Current period            06 2011
Previous period           05 2011
Last period in prev.year 12 2010
No I check in MBEWH and for the plant 2010 and article 381180 we have the folowwing entries.
YEAR          CURR PERIOD      STOCK QTY
2009            12                        68.000
2010            12                        68.000
2011            04                        68.000
I try to do MB1A with movement type 551 for plant 2010 and article 381180 for the posting period 31.05.2011 with 68 Ea.
Batch chosen was 7000000001 as this was the batch shown while I tried to archive:
" MCHB: 000000000000381180 2010 0002 7000000001 unrestricted-use stock exists for previous period"
While I try to execute the transaction it gives me an error...
"Deficit of BA Unrestr. prev. 68 EA : 381180 2010 0002 7000000001"
Do you have any clue why is this error coming ?
I have done a stock replenishment to the batch 7000000001 in storage location 0002 for site 2010 on article 381180

Error in MIGO 411K

Order cancellation problem

Hi Frnds,
When i am trying to cancel the Order confirmation (CO13 Tcode ) i am getting an error as :
Deficit of BA Unrestr. prev. 57.000 M : ELF-WJ-40MM-SP01 3100 440 0000015183
But i have the stock of this item in plant 3100 and 440 Sloc . I have a stock of 2500 M with the same batch.
But why i am getting this error and why is it not allowing me to cancel the order .

Hi,
Please check that at the posting date of the cancellation entry the stock was there or not.The system refers to the same posting date on which the confirmation was done.Please check that at the same date the stock was there.
Also check the current stock status like if it is blocked or in restricked use.

GR Cancellation not allowed despite sufficient stock balance

Hi,
We are trying to cancel a GR for an item with a total quantity of 5 cases. However, system prompts the message "Deficit of SL Unrestr. prev 4 CS".
We checked the stock balance of the item thru MB03 and MMBE and the reflected unrestricted stock is 20 cases. So this means, we have sufficient stock balance to accommodate the GR reversal.
Why the error? Please help.

In addition:
Stock itself is not enough, you should check the characteristics of the stock. Check the material document of the GR in MB03 or in MB51 and find out the batch number as well if you use batch management.
If the batch numbers of your present stock differ from it, it can cause problem.
In MB51 you can also track / map how the history of that stock. If it was consumed, the question is why you want to cancel the GR.

Idoc error for transfer posting

hi i am working on idoc type WMMBID02.when i am doing stock transfer i.e. transaction MB1B trough idoc i am getting as
Deficit of BA Unrestr. prev. 1,096 EA : 100536 PRDC RG01 9ANNA19002
Message no. M7021
but when i check the stock for the material in MMBE it has a lot of stock quantity.
i.e. in MMBE the unrestricted stock is 200,000 and when i am transfering 1,096 stock it is giving me the error and i am able to the mb1b manually in the system.
anyone please suggest.

The error is saying Deficit of BA Unrestr. prev. 1,096 EA : 100536 PRDC RG01 9ANNA19002
BA stands for batch
Unrestr for stock status unrestricted
prev for previous period.
In other words you do not have 1096 EA in previous period for your material 100536 in plant PRDC with batch number 9ANNA19002
maybe your posting date is wrong and it should be a date of the current period.
maybe your batch number is wrong.
maybe the quantity is too high.
In MCHB table you should see the previous period stock in field CVMLA
